Sherri and Tamara take a few minutes to record a short Swatch Episode. As we round into a new year and are still under lockdown, we'll be adding some of these shorter Swatches in between our longer normal episodes. In this episode, Sherri and Tamara review the Beaverslide Dry Goods Merino/Mohair 90/10 yarn. This yarn is grown on a family ranch on the Rocky Mountain Front and processed at a small family-owned woolen mill about 260 miles from the ranch for a very small and intentional carbon footprint.

In this Swatch, Sherri and Tamara review the Woolfok chainette yarn Far. They took a little time to discuss how it knits up on different types of needles, how it handles cables and texture, their impressions of the yarn.
Sherri and Tamara talk about Chainette Yarns. Chainette or Chained yarns are made up of narrow plies that are machine knit into a strand that resembles mesh or icord. Ravelry lists 417 different chained yarns in many different weights/gauges at the time of recording. Sherri really loves them! Tamara found these words used by many to describe chainette yarns - hollow core, loft, lightweight, airy, strength, lift and luxurious.  Â
