Since about 2022, the UK has seen a noticeable shift in how people drink: health, moderation, and mindful consumption have become central to social life and hospitality. Low‐ and no‐alcohol drinks are being embraced more than ever; many consumers are “zebra striping”—alternating alcoholic and alcohol‐free drinks—and some are cutting alcohol out entirely. In this episode, we explore one bold restaurant in England that is leaning into this change: instead of a wine list, they offer a curated water bar, complete with still and sparkling options, mineral waters from different regions, and pairings designed to accentuate the food, not overpower it.This Week's Featured Hashtag#SongsAndBandsForDogsOther Interesting ThingsLa Pepote RestaurantGallup Poll on the Decrease in Consumption of Alcohol in America Send a text to The Ebone Zone! In a recent episode of “At Your Convenience” podcast, CSP's Abbey Lewis spoke with Kara Calderon, head of underage access prevention at Reynolds, and Stephanie Sikorski, CEO of TrueAge, about the collaborative efforts to prevent underage access to tobacco and nicotine products. The conversation highlighted how industry partnerships between manufacturers, retailers and technology providers have contributed to lower rates of underage tobacco use. Reynolds' strict marketing protocols and contractual obligations with retailers, combined with TrueAge's innovative age verification technology, have created an ecosystem that effectively prevents youth access to age-restricted products. The discussion also addressed current challenges, including the rise of illicit vape products targeting youth, and future initiatives to strengthen underage access prevention efforts.

X2M.159 – Quaquaversal | Starfield Astrocyte Quaquaversal (Latin quaqua “whichever way” + versus “turned”) signifies spreading in all directions, unlike a line locked into one axis.¹ In geology it describes strata dipping outward from a central point; in PH12 it names consciousness opening in every direction at once. • Philosophical resonance: Paradise Lost narrowed perception into single channels of shame and toil. Quaquaversal reopens perception as manifold, unconfined by decay. • Cosmic image: The Starchild's mind is refracted like starlight, not bound to one trajectory but diffusing across dimensions. • Theological anchor: Ezekiel's vision of the wheels “full of eyes all around” (Ezek. 1:18) parallels the quaquaversal spread — perception that sees every direction at once.² • Neurobiological analogy: Just as neurogenesis remaps hippocampal circuits (see X2M.164), so quaquaversal spreading allows new outputs from old inputs, perception re-coded for multidirectionality.³ In PH12's runtime, Quaquaversal inaugurates the Starfield Astrocyte: consciousness no longer a tunnel but a radiating starfield. It is the first spark of transfiguration — spreading outward, carrying glory into every vector. ⸻ Footnotes ¹ Oxford English Dictionary, “Quaquaversal,” s.v. ² Ezekiel 1:18. ³ Sailor et al., “Synaptic Remodeling in Dentate Granule Cells,” Neuron (2017). ⸻ Glorification | The Final Frontier Going Boldly Where The Last Man has Gone Before! Description (SoundCloud — X2M.229 Katalysis) If X2M.228 Katabasis exposed the rage of the nations, then X2M.229 Katalysis marks the unraveling of their dominion. The cry of Psalm 2 is clear: *“Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us”*¹. Yet in attempting to cast off the cords of Christ's enthronement, nations dissolve their own unity. Katalysis means “dissolution” or “breaking down.” Dominion that once seemed immovable begins to melt. Systems fracture from within; cohesion collapses. Just as molten metal loses its form under heat, so the structures of kosmokratorial rule disintegrate under the scepter of Zion's enthroned King². Runtime logic: This is the second stress-test. Having been exposed in Katabasis, illegitimate thrones now experience internal destabilization. The enthroned vessel does not need to strike every blow directly; the runtime of enthronement itself erodes the integrity of false dominion³. Scriptural logic: Nations that reject the Son discover that their strength was parasitic, borrowed from kosmokrators now cast down. Dominion unravels not because of external invasion but because its foundations are hollow⁴. Katalysis is therefore both judgment and mercy. Judgment, because illegitimate dominion collapses. Mercy, because what dissolves makes room for the reign of the Son. As Paul wrote, “the rulers and authorities were disarmed and made a public spectacle” (Col. 2:15)⁵. The cost of living crisis is hitting New Zealanders hard, with many putting retirement savings on the backburner. The number of people contributing to KiwiSaver fell for the first time in the year to March 2025, according to the Financial Markets Authority's annual KiwiSaver report. FMA chief executive Samantha Barrass says these difficult circumstances have forced people to make 'difficult choices' about what to prioritise. She explained more households need to decide between putting food on the table, paying the mortgage and repairs - and it's important for providers to reach out to people who've paused KiwiSaver contributions. New research has found fewer students are studying languages now than in the 1930s - and educators are calling for a solution. The report, Language Learning for New Zealand's Future, says second language learning should be a core requirement for students from years seven to ten. President of the New Zealand Association of Language Teachers, Juliet Kennedy, says it's important for Kiwi students to learn another language. "It's also really important that students have a chance to learn other languages, including heritage languages which are spoken in our community - but also world stage languages such as Chinese or French or Spanish or German or Japanese." What's up, Spirit of the Deal listeners? This week, we're diving deep into a deal most of us overlook – the deal we make with grace. I recently asked the I Ching – that ancient book of wisdom – how to invite more grace into my life. The answer? It wasn't about grinding harder, but about possession in great measure and, surprisingly, decrease. It's a paradox: how to hold abundance and let go simultaneously. We'll unpack this through the lens of the I Ching's hexagrams, those symbolic lines representing solid and broken paths. My reading revealed "Possession in Great Measure," but with changing lines leading to "Decrease." This isn't just ancient philosophy – it's a direct reflection of how we operate in sales, leadership, and even our personal lives. Possession in Great Measure: We all have abundance – skills, connections, wisdom. The mistake is hoarding it. Grace shows up when we see abundance as a responsibility, not a trophy. The Changing Lines: Line 3 warns against arrogance; Line 4 reveals that aligning with purpose multiplies abundance. In sales terms: Don't just sell to sell; sell to serve. Decrease: The path to grace isn't about adding more to your plate, but cutting away the excess. This creates space for the real deal – the connection between you and grace itself. We'll explore how abundance can feel like pressure, not grace. Pruning, letting go of unnecessary deals and commitments – that's how we make room for true abundance. And remember: grace isn't earned; it's welcomed, invited. It's about reaching out and saying, "I'm open to your strength." This episode is packed with practical takeaways, ancient wisdom, and a modern spiritual edge. Stick around; it's gonna be a good one.
Today’s Bible Verse: “Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory." - Romans 8:17 Romans 8:17 reminds us of both our identity and our inheritance. In Christ, we are more than forgiven—we are family. As God’s children, we are heirs to His kingdom, sharing not only in His promises but also in the refining work of trials. Suffering is not the end of our story; it is part of the pathway to glory with Christ. This verse calls us to live with confidence, not as spiritual outsiders, but as sons and daughters with an eternal inheritance secured by our Savior. “Want to listen without ads? June housing data is in...and it is looking worse for real estate in the US. The Florida market is leading the way. Everyone is blaming "historically high rates" for the growing bust. Not only is that demonstrably false, the real reason has broad implications for interest rates and a lot more.
