Join Madeline Forrest as she discusses all things sobriety: the highs, the lows, the challenges, the gifts, the tools, the messy middle, and everything in between. Above all else, she's here to show you that life can be happiest when you're sober.
The Happiest Sober Podcast is an absolute gem for anyone on their journey to sobriety. Madeline, the host, has a genuinely happy and uplifting demeanor that can be heard through her voice. It's clear that she is passionate about spreading positivity and providing valuable advice to her listeners. One of the best aspects of this podcast is Madeline's ability to strike the perfect balance between discussing the beauty of sobriety and being raw and real about the challenges that come with it. Her relatable stories and insights make each episode engaging and thought-provoking.
Another great aspect of The Happiest Sober Podcast is the variety of topics covered. Madeline not only shares her own experiences but also invites guests, including her mom, who offers a wealth of knowledge on sobriety. This diversity in perspectives keeps the podcast fresh and ensures that there is something for everyone.
However, one potential drawback of this podcast is its length. Some episodes can be quite short, leaving listeners craving more content. It would be great to see longer episodes or perhaps even occasional bonus episodes to satisfy those looking for a deeper dive into certain topics.
In conclusion, The Happiest Sober Podcast is a must-listen for anyone seeking inspiration and guidance on their journey to sobriety. Madeline's genuine happiness and relatable storytelling make this podcast enjoyable and informative. Whether you're just starting out or have been sober for years, this podcast provides valuable insights that will resonate with you every step of the way.
This week, I'm chatting about something that I've heard many people struggling with lately, and that I also struggled with in my first couple years of sobriety. And that is: feeling disappointed in yourself and like it's a "failure" if you have moments of missing alcohol and wanting to drink. I share some reminders to help us return to the truth that having these moments is an inevitable part of getting sober. And rather than view them as a failure, we can reframe them as a sober WIN.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
This week my mom is joining me for a chat about alllll the things we have started doing to practice being more PRESENT in our lives. For example, going on walks without headphones, putting phone boundaries in place, and even breaking up with my (beloved) to-do lists. This episode isn't specifically about sobriety, but as with most of life and growth, it always relates back to sobriety!!!Join my community, the Happiest Sober HubSubscribe to my newsletter for sober tips & inspoWatch my sober vlogsShop my sober mugsFollow me on InstagramShop my Amazon storefrontShopMy favourite thingsIf my content has helped you on your sober journey and you'd like to support my work, you can buy me a coffee! When we first get sober, sobriety is SO all consuming. It's something we have to work so hard at, and it can often become our new obsession (in a healthy way!). But many of us then reach the point where we no longer have to think hard about not drinking. It just becomes normal life. Sobriety often requires a shift in identity. When we get sober, we may have an identity crisis and feel like we don't know who we are if we're not a drinker. Or we might be grieving our identities as drinkers. In this episode, my mom joins me for a chat about rediscovering and redefining our identities in sobriety.Join my community, the Happiest Sober HubSubscribe to my newsletter for sober tips & inspoWatch my sober vlogsShop my sober mugsFollow me on InstagramShop my Amazon storefrontShopMy favourite thingsIf my content has helped you on your sober journey and you'd like to support my work, you can buy me a coffee! Thanks for supporting my podcast by supporting my sponsors - you can view my list of current sponsors here. Sobriety can feel lonely sometimes, but that's not the end of the story! This week my mom and I chat about navigating feelings of loneliness in sobriety. Whether you're experiencing loneliness because you're single and sober, or you're feeling lonely because you have a partner who drinks, or you're feeling isolated from friends and family, we share reminders to help you reconnect back to yourself and stay grounded in your sobriety.
