2025 was a year of milestones, mourning and inspiration for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Celebratory stories included President Dallin H. Oaks becoming the 18th President of the Church, the announcement of 55 new missions opening around the world, and the 175th anniversary of the Deseret News (from which the Church News began as a section in 1931). These stories were offset by stories of loss, including the death of President Russell M. Nelson at the age of 101, a deadly attack on a Church meetinghouse in Michigan, and the death of members of the Church in an auto accident in southern Africa. For Deseret News executive editor Doug Wilks and former Church News editor and current Deseret News editor Sarah Jane Weaver, the gospel of Jesus Christ has helped them find personal comfort as they covered the news for their readers. They join Church News editor Jon Ryan Jensen to discuss the events of 2025. The Church News podcast is a weekly podcast that invites listeners to make a journey of connection with members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints across the globe. Hosts Jon Ryan Jensen, editor of the Church News, and Church News reporter Mary Richards share unique views of the stories, events, and people who form this international faith. With each episode, listeners are asked to embark on a journey to learn from one another and ponder, “What do I know now?” because of the experience. Produced by KellieAnn Halvorsen.

Justin Bieber BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Bieber has generated quite a bit of buzz over the past few days. On August 19, Elle reported that Justin has been working hard to be present for his wife Hailey and their nearly one-year-old son Jack while continuing to manage anxiety, a challenge he's discussed openly on social media and in interviews. Releasing new music, especially his seventh studio album Swag, has reportedly given him more stability, with insiders telling Entertainment Tonight that creative outlets have helped his mental health significantly. Despite rumors earlier in the summer about marital issues, sources now say Justin and Hailey are doing much better, solidifying their family life as they gear up to celebrate Jack's first birthday and their seventh wedding anniversary. In the business sphere, Justin took to Instagram on August 20 to tease a bold new homeware prototype, sharing snaps of a futuristic orange bench he designed for his comfort-focused brand SKYLRK. This comes just weeks after SKYLRK launched with colorful apparel and accessories under the creative direction of former soccer pro Finn Rush-Taylor. While Justin hasn't confirmed a full pivot to furniture, this move would mark the brand's first expansion beyond fashion. His entrepreneurial streak was further spotlighted in a Celeb Zone piece on August 23, which highlighted Justin's business ventures in tech, wellness, and his support for Hailey's wildly successful Rhode Beauty label. On August 13, Justin made a social appearance at Gunna's album release party in Los Angeles, and fans in New York have spotted him at several events over the past week. Despite some concern among fans about his physical appearance at these outings, most notably after his see-through underwear Instagram posts, there's no verified reporting of any health crisis. Media coverage has called out this public speculation, but Justin himself has addressed mental health struggles candidly in his music and continues engaging with fans on social platforms.A major headline broke August 23 with People and TMZ reporting that Justin Bieber has settled a long-standing financial dispute with Scooter Braun, agreeing to pay his former manager $31.5 million—most of which covers money Scooter fronted him after Justin canceled the Justice Tour in 2022 to focus on his health. Braun's company had previously paid AEG, so Justin is now honoring that commitment with a settlement. This development could mark a new chapter in his business dealings.Celebratory news also made the rounds as Hailey Bieber posted about their son Jack Blues' first birthday, drawing thousands of likes and comments. Bieber fans in New York had a chance to come together at Party Iconic's Justin Bieber Night at Bowery Ballroom on August 23, further proof that the pop star's fan base remains as fervent as ever. To summarize major long-term implications Justin's latest album and business moves reinforce his place in pop culture, while his family milestones and financial resolutions suggest both personal and professional growth. Speculation around his appearance persists but is counterbalanced by verified updates on his improving mental health. For now, Bieber continues to blend vulnerability and ambition, much to the fascination of fans and the industry alike.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

Master nutrition psychology for lifters, building a strong mindset for muscle and meals, and achieving peak performance. Unlock the mental game of nutrition and transform your lifting journey. This episode delves into the critical role of Nutrition Psychology for Lifters, going beyond basic dietary recommendations. We welcome Marcus Kain of Strong Not Starving to explore the mindset shift needed to navigate emotional eating, build resilience, and achieve lasting peace with food. Discover practical strategies to master your mindset, enhance distress tolerance, and cultivate a healthy relationship with nutrition. The Foundation of Nutrition Psychology for Lifters: Beyond the Plate Nutrition Psychology for Lifters goes beyond the simple mechanics of calories and macronutrients; it delves into the complex interplay between the mind, emotions, and food choices. Marcus Caine of Strong Not Starving joins us to shed light on how this field addresses the deeper challenges individuals face with food, moving beyond basic dietary recommendations. A key concept is the "Horse & Rider" metaphor, which illustrates the dynamic between the subconscious and conscious mind. Understanding this dynamic is crucial for lifters, as nutrition decisions are often driven by emotional factors more so than training decisions, leading to lower compliance rates. A critical aspect of Nutrition Psychology for Lifters is recognizing and eliminating unlikely solutions. This involves moving away from unsustainable dietary restrictions and focusing on building essential skills and long-term habits. It's about acknowledging that lasting change isn't about quick fixes but about cultivating a healthy relationship with food. This approach emphasizes that true mastery in nutrition isn't about the absence of difficult feelings but rather about developing the ability to navigate those feelings effectively. Numbing or distracting from emotions, such as through unhealthy food choices, is not a viable long-term strategy. Navigating Emotional Eating and Building Resilience Through Nutrition Psychology for Lifters Advanced emotional regulation is a cornerstone of Nutrition Psychology for Lifters. It involves moving beyond simply numbing or distracting oneself from difficult feelings and instead learning to navigate discomfort without resorting to unhealthy eating patterns. Understanding your "Window of Tolerance" for discomfort is crucial in this process. This awareness helps lifters recognize when food is being used as an emotional escape. Celebratory situations present unique challenges, and Nutrition Psychology for Lifters encourages individuals to be mindful of the diminishing returns of enjoyable food experiences. It's about learning to enjoy moments without losing sight of long-term goals and avoiding the trap of getting swept up in the moment to the point of discomfort. Building distress tolerance is essential for developing resilience in Nutrition Psychology for Lifters. This involves consistent practice and repetition to build the ability to handle discomfort and emotional triggers effectively. It's about finding that balance of letting go and enjoying things while also being aware of when it's time to call it a day. The ability to navigate that point of "I've had enough" without feeling deprived is a skill that takes time to develop, but it's crucial for achieving lasting freedom and trust in your nutritional choices. Practical Strategies and Habit Formation in Nutrition Psychology for Lifters Building trust in oneself through practice is fundamental in Nutrition Psychology for Lifters. This trust comes from consistent action and self-observation, demonstrating the ability to follow through on commitments. Developing novice skills for mindful eating is a vital first step, which includes practicing non-judgmental awareness of thoughts and feelings and removing "good" and "bad" labels from food. Learning to notice and name feelings is also a crucial skill. This involves identifying and acknowledging emotions in real-time and recognizing when distress begins to arise. Nutrition Psychology for Lifters provides practical tools to help individuals learn to tolerate discomfort, avoid emotional spirals, and practice separating emotions from identity. It's about avoiding catastrophizing, urgent decision-making, and cultivating self-compassion. By focusing on these practical strategies and habit formation, lifters can develop a sustainable and healthy relationship with food, ultimately supporting their fitness goals and overall well-being. The episode where Boydston brings us a cryptid from Australia, the Yara-Ma-Yha-Who. That is the real name, no lies. Yara is going to join our favorite friends from Down Under, Drop Bear and Bill the Australian Yeti. You let us know who you would rather encounter. Yara is a cute little guy but he's also pretty gross and Lindsey and Sarah have SO many questions. Could you outrun Yara? Are you faster than Sarah? How does he drink your blood? SO MANY QUESTIONS, but see if we can answer them (probably not)! www.thetipsyghost.com TikTok @thetipsyghost Email us your stories at thetipsyghost@gmail.com Show your support when you subscribe, leave a great review & give us a 5 star rating- it really helps! Juneteenth marks a celebratory milestone in the history of emancipation in the US, but the legacy of slavery persists, not just in the US but across the globe. Also, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa was just sworn in for his second term in office, despite his party losing a decadeslong majority in a recent parliamentary election.
