A Podcast about whatever we feel like talking about! Brought to you by Matty and Doj.
Hey gang! Glad to be back once again to deliver some top tier audio hilarity to your ear holes. On this show we chat about a very random encounter that Mat had in the local grocery store. Sarah runs down a surprise trip to the Badger football game and after that she pits Adam vs. Mat in a round of Family Feud: Thanksgiving edition. We sincerely hope you enjoy the show and we are thankful for each and every one of you that take some time out of your day to listen. We will be back next month for more shenanigans!
It's that time of the year, folks! We hope you enjoy our annual offering of creepy, strange and weird tales, as well as a little surprise at the end, because what would a Hold On, Let Me Tell It Creepshow be without some Jeopardy?! We will be back next month with another show, but until then, stay safe and be the great human beings that I know our listeners are. Cheers!
Hey gang! We are back! Adam, Sarah & I decided to sit down and fire this thing back up and I'm so glad we did. We had a blast recording this one. Topics included a Tampa Bay legend, The Dark Web, animals in freezers and a ton more. We wrapped it up with a quick round of Filthy Trivia, because why not? We will be back before the end of the month with the annual Creepshow Spooktacular, so stay subscribed and tell your friends!
The treacherous trio are back to spread some holiday cheer for you wonderful listeners! This week on the show we spent a good chunk of our time talking about the Max documentary “Class Action Park”. This place was like Shangri La if you were an 80's kid who wanted to rage. If you haven't seen it, you should definitely check it out. Other topics include bumper stickers, a strange trip back from Oshkosh that included a man laying in the street, a haircut debacle, and a Taco Bell orgy! We close things out with a round of Christmas movie trivia! Cheers!
This week on the show we got together the week before Turkey Day to chat about all sorts of stuff including the Telemarketers documentary on HBO, bar trivia, the Grillbot and much more. We hope you all had a tremendous Thanksgiving, and we will check in with you all in December. Cheers!
As we wrap up the yearly Creepshow offerings, we bring you three more tales for your listening pleasure! Adam, Sarah and I have really enjoyed getting back together to record and we are going to keep the fun going in an abbreviated fashion. You can look forward to getting a new episode dropping on the last Friday morning each month. As always, we would love to hear your ideas and feedback so feel free to reach out! Have a great Halloween and we will check back with you the day after Thanksgiving. Cheers!
Welcome to part II of the 2023 Creepshow! We spent a few minutes chatting about last week's topics including the papermill documentary that Adam referenced. From there we get into this weeks tales that include an industrial revolution steel mill that may be haunted by one of its most notorious foremen, the strange numbers stations that started popping up shortly after the cold war of which many are still operating today, and a crazy story about an exorcism of a woman who was tormented from beyond the grave by some of the worst people on the planet. Enjoy!
We're back, witches! This week we we're more than happy to reconvene in the studio after a several month hiatus to bring you what has become the favorite shows of the year for both the listeners as well as Adam, Sarah & I: Creepshow! We took a few minutes in the beginning to just chop it up, but the meat of the show is focused on some chilling stories. A man winds up dead in a vat of pulp in a Green Bay paper mill. Several people end there own lives in a Milwaukee government building for seemingly no reason. A mysterious letter sender tortures some new homeowners from the shadows of an idyllic town in New Jersey. Let us know what you thought of the stories presented, and give some feedback on the show in general. We would love to hear it. Enjoy!
This week on the show we address the fact that the show hasn't really been what we want it to be as of late, and we have a bit of news on that front. We also chat about Mat and Adam's weekend in Oshkosh for the annual Water City Wrestling Con. Don't worry, we kept it very light on the wrestling and focused more on the sights, sounds and hangs. If you do want to hear some of the wrestling stuff be sure to check out Dorkside of the Ring, a weekly show that is available wherever you hear this one. The second half was a make good from last week after some technical difficulties robbed you all out of the 80's trivia showdown between Adam & Sarah. We played that back in its entirety. Thank you so much to those that take an hour or so out of their lives every week to listen to the show. It really means a lot. Like, way more than you know. Cheers!
This week on the show we start off with no agenda, and although we stumbled a bit out of the gates, we pulled it together for a good show (I think). The bulk of the show was spent with Adam and Mat squaring off for some I Love the 80's trivia with some other random topics (and some awkwardness) sprinkled in. Cheers, everyone. Hope you all had a swell Easter.
This week on the show it's back to the Triple Threat of Adam, Sarah & Mat as we tackle all sorts of topics. As per usual, there are lots of side tracks that get taken in this one. We thought back to our paper delivery days, gave our opinions on our favorite soda, and more. In the second half, Adam & Sarah square off in a 1980's themed game of Smart Ass. Cheers!
This week on the show we have two very special guests making their return! Adam's folks, Jody & Kristy Tollefson sit in as we chat about all sorts of randomness. It was really fun and a great change of pace. For the bulk of the show, Sarah played host for some tag team trivia with both teams getting questions from what should be their wheelhouse. Which generation will reign supreme? Listen and find out!
This week on the show we kick things off by chatting about the recent St. Patrick's Day weekend that included Sarah's trip to a Wisconsin Dells supper club and Adam bopping around Madison. Mat runs down a recent trip to a salt spa that Sarah clearly thought was ridiculous. Then Sarah reads the description of a film that Mat stumbled across before finishing the show with some Filthy Trivia. Come hang with us this Saturday at the Rock County fairgrounds for the JWA show and be sure to get to Emmy's on Sunday for a fundraiser for our friend Will Natz. Enjoy!
This week the band is back together and we finally get to talk about what went down a couple of weekends ago when Mat went to San Francisco and Sarah went to not one, but two Bruce Springsteen shows in Minneapolis and Milwaukee. Adam recounted his experience being quarantined in the basement. Don't worry; redemption is coming as plans are in the works for SummerSlam in Detroit! After some St. Patrick's Day celebrity birthdays, Sarah hosted a very closely contested round of trivia focused on the 17thday of March. Hope you all have a great Friday. Party your asses off. Safely. Cheers!!!
This week on the show we had to call an audible so we are bringing to you one of our most talked about episodes! Go back in time a couple years to hear a crazy tale about drunken debauchery with Seth as he recounts an evening (that turned into multiple evenings) that he ran into someone under the Tom Petty umbrella. It was a wild one. While we're at it, consider this a call to arms. We would be thrilled to be the platform that you get your story out there. We can change names, etc. if need be, but if you or someone you know have an entertaining tale to tell, by all means hit us up through the podcast FB page, or shoot one of us a message. Also, if you see my gorgeous wife around this weekend, say Happy Birthday! Enjoy!
This week's show is a little abbreviated, but we a re sure to make up for it next week as we are all doing some traveling and should be full of stories. We discussed snack cakes, JWA's latest show at the Rock County Fairgrounds, and more. In the second half, Sarah & Mat went head to head in a round of Desperado. Big thanks to Ashley for putting that together! Enjoy.
This week on the show we chat about dogs rolling in shit, an independent wrestling show that Mat and Adam attended in Rockford and a whole lot more. In the second half, Sarah's husband Jim joins us as we play a new trivia game. Enjoy!
This week on the show Adam and Sarah ran through their weekend festivities as each did a little traveling. Adam and some family rented out a large cabin near the Wisconsin Dells as Sarah and her sisters took the trek to St. Louis to stay at the Lemp Mansion. If you are unfamiliar, you should check out the Creepshow segment that Sarah did on the Lemp family back in October. They definitely had some strange experiences. After that, Mat hosted some trivia for the other two to close out the show. Enjoy!
Topics on the show this week include: Raves that occurred after hours at a local buffet restaurant, Adam's experience at the Comedy Cabin, grocery store assaults, and in the second half, we bring back an old favorite as Sarah brings a 1 true 3 to the table that was very funny. From there, we get some news before wrapping it up. Enjoy!
This week on the show we kick things off discussing the current state of malls and the new Dead Space remake. From there, Adam fills us in on a trip to the Kohl Center for a Badger basketball game and all the accoutrements that went along with that. We ran down the results of the 2023 Royal Rumble tattoo draw and how we each felt about who we have to choose from. Mat's car got ransacked in 8" of snow, and we chatted about some new shows that Sarah has been watching and she gives us some recommendations. Enjoy!
This week on the show Mat shares a story that includes another brush with death starring Meeko the Cockatiel. Adam talks about an Atlanta native that was doing her best John Rambo impersonation outside of a wrestling show and a great misunderstanding that went along with it. Sarah quizzed the boys in some trivia from 2010 as Adam put the Ramblin' Rabbi on the line. As we start year four of the show, let us give you listeners a big thank you! We really appreciate each one of you. There are only so many hours in the day, and we are thrilled that you give one (or so) a week to us. Cheers!
This week on the show we talk about Adam's weekend in Milwaukee to see a comedy show. We also chat about tobacco, tacos & Tick Tok. For the second half of the show we take a little trip down memory lane. This is the 4th anniversary of the podcast and Sarah put together a little something that helped jog our memories of some great show moments. A big thank you to everyone that has ever checked out the show and an even bigger thanks to those that have stuck with it and supports. It means a ton to all of us. Cheers!
This week on the show we talk about strange internet ads, Sarah recalls listening to a true crime podcast episode that took place in Wisconsin, middle school shenanigans and more. In the second half we did a little pop culture trivia. Cheers!
Happy New Years, everyone! I hope you all had a safe and happy holiday season, and we are glad to have you back listening in 2023 as we head toward our 4th anniversary of this illustrious podcast! We stay pretty true to form this week, though, as we give our thoughts on how the Hot Ones challenge went from last week. We also give a little run down of everyone's NYE festivities and then hop into some trivia. The Ramblin' Rabbi was on the line as Sarah quizzed the boys in a round of America's Pub Trivia. It went very well for one participant, and not so much for the other. We hope you enjoy the show, and we would love to have some more guests in 2023 to tell some stories, play games, etc. Also, if there's something you would like to hear us cover, feel free to reach out to one of us, or message the show on FB. Cheers!
On the show this week is the moment you have all been waiting for. It's been bantered about for a long time, and it finally happened. The Hot Ones challenge! Andy Wilson joined the show again and he brought with him the entire season 19 lineup of Hot Ones sauces. Uncle Jon also returned to assist in a trivia contest in which Adam, Andy and Mat worked as a team to tackle Sarah's bar trivia. The rules were simple: we decided on an answer as a team, and if it was wrong, we ate a wing. Each one hotter than the last. It's a long one, so sit back, crack a beer and some hot sauce and join us on the highway to hell. Cheers!
This week on the show we welcome Sarah back into the fold. She didn't come alone as her husband, Jim returned for a guest spot. Sarah took the opportunity to immediately bring up a domestic tiff that has been ongoing in the Barfield home: a back and forth battle for blanket supremacy. After some more banter, Sarah has the guys play a game of Christmas movie trivia with a twist. It was a fun one. I hope you all have a great holiday and we will be back next week with another great episode. Cheers!
This week on the show it's boys night out! Minutes before we started recording the show, Sarah said she wasn't feeling well and had to bail. We were sure she was up to something, but nope! (Side note: she is fine and will be back next week.) That being said, I think we did a decent job of cobbling together some stories that will hopefully get a few chuckles. Hope you enjoy, and if not, keep it to yourselves! Just kidding. Let us hear about it! And while you're at it, let some other people hear about it. Lets grow this thing. Cheers!
This week on the show we open things up with Adam telling us that he got hit by a tow truck. From there we briefly run down a trip to see some wrestling in Oshkosh. The Scat with Mat makes a triumphant return as we read a couple reviews off Amazon for a colon cleanse. After that, it's another modified round of the Hit List as Adam and Sarah face off to see who will be the new #1 contender for the Ramblin' Rabbi. Enjoy!
On the show this week we had a couple guests! Both have been on the show a time or two, but it was great to welcome TJ and Roman back to the table. We didn't really have an agenda, which turned out to be a great idea as the laughs were plentiful. In the second half, Sarah hosted a lightning round of filthy trivia just for funzies. Enjoy!
This week on the show we check in with Sarah after a trip to see the Packers at Lambeau Field. She gives us a run down of what the tailgate looked like, as well as a stop on the way up at a bar where she walked away with a unique prize! From there, since we recorded on the biggest drinking day of the year, Sarah and Adam went head-to-head in a round of Drunk Ass Trivia. Enjoy!
This week on the show, we spend a good chunk of the first half talking about a 12 hour round trip that Mat and Adam took to experience two wrestling shows, a haunted Walmart and a quick visit to the creepy town of St. Nazianz that we highlighted on a recent Creepshow episode. From there, the Ramblin' Rabbi was on the line as Sarah had the boys square off against one another in a game of wits (it was just trivia, but still). Enjoy!
This week on the show it is back to business as usual as we lay to rest another month of Creepshow. It was a great deal of fun, but the fact that we only do it in October is what makes it special, right? So we sat at the table and got caught up with what has been going on since last week. Adam had a great evening doing a makeshift bar crawl. We discuss a woman with a rare condition that allows her to remember every moment in her life chronologically in great detail. After that Mat & Sarah go head to head in a round of Filthy Trivia, with the right to face Adam for the Rabbi on the line. Enjoy!
That's right ladies and gentlemen (and I use those terms very, very loosely), if you listened to the show last week you know that there was a mishap that resulted in an hour of lost audio that was the annual Creepshow Jeopardy. We weren't about to let that happen, so we called in some reinforcements to play the game. Jody & Kristy Tollefson graced the table and went head to head. We thank them very much for saving the day and we hope you all enjoy a bonus week of Creepshow!
This week on the show we have a special guest at the table. Mat & Sarah's nephew, Chase! He's been on before, so we get caught up with him before transitioning to the final chapter in the 2022 Creepshow series. Sort of. More on that in a bit. Adam & Sarah both bring stories to the table and the grand finale was to be another installment of Creepshow Jeopardy, but something went wrong. After a hilarious (almost hour) of the game, it was never recorded. They can't play it again, so we have devised a plan in which we will run it back (hopefully next week) with two other contestants. Enjoy your Halloween, everyone!
This week on the show we continue down the highway to Hell as we bring you the third installment of the annual Creepshow! The topics this week are all over the place, and we even got a guest recording to share. Sit back and listen to tales that include a creepy doll that has resided in Janesville for decades, a grizzly murder that got more bizarre with every bit of information that came out, and finally a local trifecta of cemetery's that each housed their own terrifying tale. We really hope you are enjoying the series this year!
This week's show starts off on a bit of a somber note as Adam had to deal with the loss of a family pet. From there, Sarah chats about going to a bucket list supper club for her birthday, and it sounded amazing. We chat a little about how the fantasy football season is going and then, we get into the meat of the show. The Creepshow. The topics this week include a Pokémon episode that only aired once (for good reason), a guy recounting a chilling walk home in which he stumbled across something he wishes he hadn't, and a cursed town in Wisconsin that was founded by a priest whose activities were so bizarre, he was exiled from Germany. Enjoy!
It's here. Our favorite time of year! If you haven't been on this ride with us since the beginning (or at least last October), you should know that we do a month-long celebration each October of all things creepy. Every week Mat, Adam & Sarah will each bring something to the table to share. Nothing is off limits. It can be based in reality, a personal experience, internet theories, whatever. As long as it's creepy. As a listener, you can get in on the action! If you have an experience you would like to share or would just like to suggest a topic, feel free to reach out! We really appreciate all of the feedback and hope you enjoy Creepshow 2022!
This week on the show we talk about artificial intelligence, Bird scooters, Alone on Netflix, Small Town Murder Podcasts and much more. In the second half, Sarah pits the boys against one another in a round of trivia. Who will leave with the Ramblin' Rabbi? You will have to listen to find out! Also, next week begins the month long celebration that is Creepshow! Hope you join us for the ride.
This week on the show we listen to Adam recall his experience of going to the recent Packers / Bears game. Sarah and Mat chat briefly about Alone, and in the second half, The Hit List returns with some amended rules. Enjoy!
This week on the show we talk about the series "Alone" on Netflix. Sarah chats about a live podcast she attended in Milwaukee over the weekend. We all take a victory lap after the first weekend of fantasy football treated us well, however, that will definitely not be the case this week. The boys try to guess a whole bunch of celebrity birthdays, and in the last part of the show, Sarah & Mat go head to head in a riddle challenge hosted by Adam. Enjoy!
This week on the show, Adam & Mat spent a good chunk of time recapping what has become an annual Labor Day weekend trip to Chicago, which for a few days is the epicenter of the professional wrestling world. We met up with some old friends and made some new ones! Despite the weekend being entrenched in wrestling, very little of that on this show (check out Dorkside of the Ring for more on that). This is more about the stories and the hangs. Sarah talks about a Netflix show that has recently grabbed her attention, plus a lot more. Enjoy!
This week on the show, we chat about the annual Tecmo Fantasy Football draft and how everyone was feeling after a great evening as we gear up for the upcoming season. Mat was in fact drafting a team in another league as the first half of this one was being recorded (sorry if I seemed distracted!) After that, Sarah quizzes us on celebrity birthdays before Mat hosts a new game called “Hit List” where Sarah & Adam battled it out to be the number 1 contender for the Ramblin' Rabbi. Enjoy!
This week on the show, Sarah has a heartbreaking update regarding her new furniture, we talk job woes, and of course, attempt to guess celebrity ages on their birthday. Mat reveals a gift from the estranged commissioner of the Tecmo Fantasy Bowl league, Gary Indiana, ahead of the big draft this Sunday. To wrap it up, Sarah pits the boys against one another in some 80's & 90's trivia with the Ramblin' Rabbi on the line. Enjoy!
This week on the show, Adam recalls a family weekend getaway to one of Minnesota's 10,000 lakes, Sarah talks about the trials & tribulations of “move in” week in Madison, and we all give our thoughts on the Netflix series Trainwreck. It's about the absolute shit show that was Woodstock '99, and if you haven't checked it out, you should. (It's only three episodes) There are other topics sprinkled in, but that was the bulk of it. Enjoy!
This week on the show we get right into it with a real potpourri of topics. What other podcast can you listen to that covers the current state of Jeopardy, two scorching hot sporting events (of of which was sports entertainment, but still), FX's The Bear, Riff-Raff at free festivals, weathermen obsession and a bunch more that I can't remember at the moment? Probably none. In the second half of the show, Adam goes up against Sarah in a new trivia game called Florida Man, where three crazy statements or scenarios are read, one of which is fact. It's a tried and true format for this show, let's be honest. Who will become the #1 contender for the Ramblin' Rabbi? You will have to listen to find out. Enjoy!
This week on the show we had a visit from Uncle Jon, who, once again let us choose story titles off of a menu board for him to tell on the show. It was a great deal of fun! We also ran down everyone's week since we last sat down. It was going so well that we had no time for games. I hope you enjoy the show as much as we did recording it. A bit thanks to Jon for his continued support and we look forward to having him on again!
On this episode of Hold On, Let Me Tell It we sit down to chat about what we have been up to since last week. We all did a bit of traveling! Adam & Sarah went on different adventures in Milwaukee while Mat headed to Minneapolis for a family weekend. Fun was had by all! In the second half, we brought the "Drunk Ass" cards back to the table in a three way dance for the Ramblin' Rabbi. Thanks to DTS for always hooking us up with drinks, and thank you to each of you that listen. It means a ton to us. Enjoy!
This week on the show we once again welcome Becky Tollefson to the table. She must defend the Ramblin' Rabbi, after all. Will she defeat all three hosts at Filthy Trivia and start a Ken Jennings like run? You will have to listen to find out. Before that, we are just chatting about whatever crosses our minds. It's all over the place, honestly. We even did a live drawing of the Tecmo Fantasy Bowl draft order. Enjoy!
This week on the show, Adam is out but the Tollefson name is well represented as we welcome both of Adam's sisters, Becky and Abbey to the studio! Sarah spends some time airing her grievances about a team at the weekly bags league before filling us in on her tour of Lambeau Field. Mat recounts the Rage Against the Machine show at Alpine Valley and in the second half we played trivia from the 2010's. It was a fun one to record as those Tollefson gals get pretty chatty. Enjoy!
Our weekly bags league wrapped up early this week so Adam's mother, Kristi, joined us at the table. Adam gave us a little run down of his Nashville trip and after that, we just shot the bull about whatever came up. Then, in the second half, we played some Drunk Trivia! Did the power of the Burberry scarf propel Mat to his third win in a row? Probably. You will have to listen to find out! Enjoy.
This week on the show we are back at it, although Adam is MIA as he was waiting on some test results and thus unable to join the show. We brought Sarah's husband Jimbo back on to help fill in, which was much appreciated! We talked about Sarah's recent girls trip in Door County and Mat recounts a heavy wrestling weekend where he traveled to Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Baraboo, and Chicago in the span of five days. After that, we continued the trend of “Trivia by the Decade” as all three went head to head to head in the battlefield that was the 2000's. It was a fun show, and it was good to be back at it after taking a week off. Have a safe and happy 4th of July and we will see you next week!
