Kjøp bedre kaffe - helst hele bønner fra lokale små brennerier. Jo mer informasjon på posen om opprinnelse, kultivar, etc jo bedre. Finn gjerne et brenneri som har en brennestil du liker, snakk med de som jobber der og prøv deg frem. Husk at kaffe er ferskvare, så se etter brenningsdato på posen og sørg for at posene er forseglet når du kjøper kaffe. Som regel smaker kaffen best innen 4-6 uker etter brenning, men den bør helst hvile minst en uke ette brenning. Husk også at vannet må ikke ha for mye kalk. Stort sett er vannet i Norge bra til kaffebrygging men har du mye kalkdannelse i vannkokeren din eller i dusjen, så bør du vurdere et vannfilter som fjerner kalk.2. Skaff deg en god kaffekvern som kan fininstilles. De koster nok mer enn 1000 kr. Men varer lenge og gir mye mere smak ettersom mye av aromaene forsvinner fort etter kverning og kaffen oksiderer raskere etter kverning. Man må også kunne stille inn kvernen etter hvordan man skal brygge og lager man filterkaffe må man kverne grovere desto mer man brygger av gangen.3. Bruk riktig dosering. 60-65 gram per liter til filterkaffe og 65 - 70 gram per liter til presskanne. Bruk helst en digital vekt for å veie både kaffe og vann så blir det likt hver gang.4. Finn en bryggemetode som passer din hverdag og hold deg til den. Sørg for at utstyret alltid er rent.5. Det finnes så mye ulike smaker, utstyr, etc. så her er det bare å prøve seg fram og kanskje sjekke ut en bryggevideo eller to på YouTube. Min favoritt influenser på Youtube er James Hoffmann. Det er en god ressurs for det meste som omhandler kaffe og brygging. Kaffen vi smakte på i episodenFinca el Puente fra Xinacla, la Paz, Honduras. Geisha kultivar / sort. Smaker mandarin, sjasmin, honning.Finca el Puente GeishaDen andre kaffen:(UTSOLGT!) Finca Nacimiento fra el Cielito, Santa Barbara, Honduras. SL28 kultivar / sort som er mest dyrket i Kenya og er kjent for sine intense solbær, bjørnebær, nype og florale smaker. Produsert av JObneel Caceres Dios. Frø plantet jeg selv sammen med han. Dessverer hadde vi lite av denne og den er utsolgt, men vi får forhåpentligvis litt mer om 2 år ettersom han nylig rennoverte denne farmen.
