Rīgas Laikmetīgās mākslas telpā atklāta izstāde "Kā tu šodien jūties? Emociju pratība", kurā 28 Latvijas mākslinieku darbi aicina pievērsties emociju pasaulei. Izstādes kuratores Daiga Rudzāte un Una Meistere uzsver – māksla var palīdzēt atpazīt sajūtas, kuras ikdienā bieži paliek nepamanītas vai neizteiktas. Izstādes ideja dzimusi sarunās par emociju pratību Izstādes pirmsākumi meklējami pirms aptuveni septiņiem gadiem, kad sadarbībā ar ģimenes ārsti un toreizējo Latvijas Ārstu biedrības prezidenti Ilzi Aizsilnieci tika aizsākts diskusiju cikls par emociju pratību. "Mūsdienu zinātne jau sen ir pierādījusi, ka emocijām ir ārkārtīga nozīme ne tikai mūsu garīgajā, bet arī fiziskajā veselībā," stāsta Una Meistere. Viņa uzsver, ka māksla ir viena no valodām, kas palīdz cilvēkam pietuvoties savai emocionālajai pasaulei un ieraudzīt to, ko ikdienā ne vienmēr iespējams izteikt vārdos. Pēc Aizsilnieces aiziešanas mūžībā projekta veidotāji nolēmuši iesākto turpināt plašākā formātā. Tā radusies izstāde "Kā tu šodien jūties? Emociju pratība", kuru papildina arī četras grāmatas sērijā "Veselīga Latvija". Sešas emocijas kā ceļvedis izstādes telpā Izstādes pamatā ir amerikāņu psihologa Pola Ekmana (Paul Ekman) teorija par sešām universālām emocijām: prieku, bailēm, skumjām, pārsteigumu, riebumu un dusmām. "Zālē esam izveidojuši sava veida režģi, kur emocijas savstarpēji pārklājas, bet reprezentēts tiek prieks, bailes, skumjas, pārsteigums, riebums un dusmas," skaidro izstādes kuratores. Viņas tomēr uzsver, ka šis dalījums nav uztverams burtiski. "Neviens no šiem darbiem nav absolūti kristāltīra konkrētā emocija. Tur atrodas visu emociju sajaukums, tās klejo, saplūst un pārklājas savā starpā." Katrs skatītājs emocijas piedzīvos citādi Darbu izvietojums izstādē tapis ilgās diskusijās, taču kuratores atzīst, ka mākslas uztvere vienmēr ir subjektīva. "Mēs ļoti daudz par to savstarpēji sarunājāmies. Šīs zonas ir ārkārtīgi nosacītas, jo tās tiešām viena ar otru saplūst un pārklājas." Izstādes centrā izvietoti spoguļi ar jautājumiem, kas mudina apmeklētājus ieskatīties sevī un pārdomāt savas emocijas. "Mēs katrs pasauli uztveram pilnīgi savādāk – atkarībā no savas pieredzes, jūtīguma un tā, ko esam redzējuši." Latvijas laikmetīgās mākslas minivārdnīca Izstādē pārstāvēti 28 dažādu paaudžu autori – no atzītiem mākslas klasiķiem līdz pavisam jauniem māksliniekiem. "Tā savā veidā ir Latvijas šodienas mākslas minivārdnīciņa," saka Una Meistere. Lielākā daļa darbu atlasīti mākslinieku darbnīcās vai no Latvijas Nacionālā mākslas muzeja krājuma. Speciāli izstādei radīti vien daži darbi. Ekspozīcijā sastopami šādi autori: Kristaps Ancāns, Ēriks Apaļais, Ilmārs Blumbergs, Kristians Brekte, Andris Breže, Aleksandrs Breže, Anna Ceipe, Kristiāna Dimitere, Reinis Dzudzilo, Miķelis Fišers, Indriķis Ģelzis, Helēna Heinrihsone, Brenda Jansone, Marks Halsons, Frančeska Kirke, Maija Kurševa, Katrīna Lipšāne, Laimdota Malle, Sarmīte Māliņa, MAREUNROL'S, Ģirts Muižnieks, Pauls Rietums, Ilze Rukšāne, Līga Spunde, Krista Vindberga-Auzniece, Artūrs Virtmanis, Amanda Ziemele, Otto Zitmanis, Paula Zvane. Visvairāk darbu atrasts skumju sadaļai Veidojot ekspozīciju, izrādījies, ka visvieglāk bijis atrast darbus, kas sasaucas ar skumju tēmu. "Ar skumjām mēs varētu aizpildīt vēl vienu zāli," atzīst kuratores. Kā iespējamo skaidrojumu viņas min ziemeļnieku mentalitāti, saules trūkumu un garās ziemas. Savukārt sarežģītāk bijis atrast darbus, kas saistās ar riebumu: "Ar to riebumu katram ir ļoti individuālas attiecības." Izstāde – daļa no Jeila Universitātes pētījuma Izstāde nav tikai mākslas notikums. Tā iekļauta arī Jeila Universitātes pētījumā par mākslas ietekmi uz cilvēku. Katram apmeklētājam būs iespēja iesaistīties pētījumā, izvēloties vienu darbu, kas raisa visspēcīgākās emocijas, atbildot uz jautājumiem par savu pieredzi. "Tā pamatideja ir saprast, kā mūs ietekmē māksla, ko mēs sajūtam un par ko tā liek aizdomāties." Kuratores uzskata, ka māksla ir viens no retajiem instrumentiem, kas mūsdienu sadrumstalotajā pasaulē palīdz cilvēkam apstāties un pievērsties sev. Izstādi papildinās lekcijas un diskusijas Izstādes laikā notiks plaša publiskā programma, kurā piedalīsies filozofi, psihologi, ārsti, mākslinieki un mūziķi. Viens no gaidītākajiem notikumiem būs britu neirozinātnieka Daniela Glasera (Daniel Glaser) vieslekcija septembrī. Savukārt jau jūlijā par emociju uztveri Austrumu kultūrās stāstīs filozofs Kaspars Eihmanis. Nav labu un sliktu emociju Sarunas noslēgumā izstādes veidotājas uzsver, ka emocijas nevajadzētu dalīt pozitīvās un negatīvās. "Nav jau labu un sliktu emociju. Viņas visas eksistē kā viens kopums, un mēs nedrīkstam tās sevī noliegt, bet izmantot tā, lai tās mums patiešām palīdzētu." Savukārt uz jautājumu, kādas emocijas viņas pašas ikdienā izjūt visbiežāk, atbilde ir vienkārša – prieks, interese un pārsteigums. "Kamēr mēs saglabājam sevī vēlmi uzzināt un zinātkāri, mēs esam dzīvi un turpinām attīstīties."

En el marc de la Fira Femenina de la Ciència i la Tecnologia de Lloret, l’associació l’Aurora posa el focus en referents femenins vinculats al municipi. Una d'elles és la investigadora Laura Garcia Prat, lloretenca establerta actualment a Suïssa, on treballa com a investigadora principal liderant projectes per desenvolupar noves teràpies biomèdiques a Ridgeline Discovery. Llicenciada en Biotecnologia i doctora en Biomedicina, Laura Garcia Prat va convertir-se en una referència internacional en recerca sobre l'envelliment després de publicar, durant la seva tesi doctoral, un estudi a la revista Nature reconegut amb el Premi Vanguardia de la Ciència l'any 2017. La seva trajectòria l'ha portat a treballar en centres de recerca d'excel·lència del Canadà i Suïssa. La científica lloretenca ha volgut enviar un missatge proper i motivador a les nenes i joves de Lloret. “La ciència no només és estudiar, també és imaginar, innovar i trobar noves maneres de fer les coses”, explica. Garcia Prat assegura que la curiositat i les ganes d'aprendre són la clau: “Si us agrada entendre com funcionen les coses, ja teniu el més important”. La investigadora també reivindica la necessitat de trencar estereotips imposats a les joves: “Hem de deixar enrere la idea que cal ser extremadament intel·ligent o nerd per dedicar-s'hi”. I conclou amb un missatge clar per a les futures generacions científiques: “Si voleu, podeu i, a més, la ciència us necessita”.

El premi està actualment en la fase de votació popular i el dia 19 d'abril es farà l'acte de lliurament dels premis a Prats i Sansor, prop de Bellver. Because I was very pleased with their behavior, I told them, ‘Although you are both very much exalted, you consider yourselves inferior, and because of this, Kṛṣṇa will very soon deliver you.' Purport Such are the qualifications of a pure devotee. Materially one may be very opulent, experienced, influential and educated, but if one still thinks himself lower than straw in the street, one attracts the attention of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu or Lord Kṛṣṇa. Although Mahārāja Pratāparudra was a king, he took up a broom to cleanse the road for Lord Jagannātha's ratha (chariot). Because of this humble service, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu was very pleased with the King, and for that reason the Lord embraced him. According to Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's instructions, a devotee should never be puffed up by material power. He should know that material power is the result of one's past good activities (karma) and is consequently transient. At any moment all one's material opulence can be finished; therefore a devotee is never proud of such opulence. He is always humble and meek, considering himself lower than a piece of straw. Because of this, the devotees are eligible to return home, back to Godhead. Cc Madhya 14.174-257 https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/14/advanced-view/ Dressing himself as a Vaiṣṇava, Mahārāja Pratāparudra entered the garden at Balagaṇḍi alone and began reciting verses from Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. He then took the opportunity to massage the lotus feet of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. The Lord, in His ecstatic love for Kṛṣṇa, immediately embraced the King and thus bestowed mercy upon him. When there was an offering of prasādam in the garden, Lord Caitanya also partook of it. After this, when Lord Jagannātha's ratha car stopped moving, King Pratāparudra called for many elephants to pull it, but they were unsuccessful. Seeing this, Lord Caitanya began to push the car from behind with His head, and the car began moving. Then the devotees began pulling the car with ropes. Near the Guṇḍicā temple is a place known as Āiṭoṭā. This place was fixed up for Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu to rest in. When Lord Jagannātha was seated at Sundarācala, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu saw it as Vṛndāvana. He performed sporting pastimes in the water of the lake known as Indradyumna. For nine continuous days during Ratha-yātrā, the Lord remained at Sundarācala, and on the fifth day He and Svarūpa Dāmodara observed the pastimes of Lakṣmī, the goddess of fortune. During that time, there was much talk about the pastimes of the gopīs. When the ratha was again being drawn and the chanting resumed, two devotees from Kulīna-grāma — Rāmānanda Vasu and Satyarāja Khān — were requested to bring silk ropes every year for the Ratha-yātrā ceremony. We should have every year the 'Best Purport Awards.' This is what I'm going to enter. (HG Vaisesika Dasa) Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja Gosvāmī wants to point out that nothing could compare to the Lord's mercy toward Mahārāja Pratāparudra; therefore he uses the word dekha (“just see”) and caitanyera kṛpā-mahābala (“how powerful is the mercy of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu”). This is also confirmed by Prabodhānanda Sarasvatī: yat-kāruṇya-kaṭākṣa-vaibhava-vatām (Caitanya-candrāmṛta 5). Even a little of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's mercy serves as a great asset for spiritual advancement. Therefore the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement must be spread through the mercy of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. When Rūpa Gosvāmī experienced the mercy and magnanimity of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, he said: namo mahā-vadānyāya kṛṣṇa-prema-pradāya te kṛṣṇāya kṛṣṇa-caitanya- nāmne gaura-tviṣe namaḥ “I offer my respectful obeisances unto the Supreme Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya, who is more magnanimous than any other avatāra, even Kṛṣṇa Himself, because He is bestowing freely what no one else has ever given — pure love of Kṛṣṇa.” Śrīla Locana dāsa Ṭhākura has also sung, parama karuṇa, pahuṅ dui jana, nitāi-gauracandra: “The two brothers Nitāi and Gaura are so kind that no one can compare to Them.” Similarly, Śrīla Narottama dāsa Ṭhākura has sung: vrajendra-nandana yei, śacī-suta haila sei, balarāma ha-ila nitāi, dīna-hīna yata chila, hari-nāme uddhārila, tā'ra sākṣī jagāi-mādhāi “Just to deliver all the sinful persons of this age by propagating the chanting of the holy name, Lord Kṛṣṇa and Lord Balarāma have advented as Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu and Nityānanda Prabhu. Jagāi and Mādhāi are evidence of Their success.” Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's special mission is the deliverance of all fallen souls in Kali-yuga. Devotees of Kṛṣṇa must persistently seek the favor and mercy of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu to become fit to return home, back to Godhead. Bhūri-dā janāḥ means the most munificent, the person who is giving the best, the best giver in the world. That's what we're coming to in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, because here we start with Kṛṣṇa saying in the Bhagavad Gītā, "Be fully Kṛṣṇa conscious" (Chapter 12). If you can't do that, practice thinking of Kṛṣṇa through the rules and regulations. If you can't do that, then just try to work for Kṛṣṇa. Give! If you can't give to Kṛṣṇa for some reason—and Prabhupāda gives definition to that, like your family won't let you: "I'm sorry, I can't give a check, but it has ISKCON on it. I'm toast."So then he says, "Well, just volunteer somewhere. Go and volunteer in a national park and try to do good for others. That'll raise your awareness that the more I give, the happier I become, the more fulfilled I am." That's a revelation to all living beings in the material world who are just trying to take for themselves. That's: ahastāni sahastānām apadāni catuṣ-padām phalgūni tatra mahatāṁ jīvo jīvasya jīvanam (SB 1.13.47) This statement early in the Bhāgavatam says that living beings are just trying to eat each other. Everyone's stealing everyone else's property; whatever wealth other people have, they try to siphon it off somehow. And ultimately, you know, "You've got a body, I think I'll just eat your body to stay alive." That's the material world, and it's scary, but it's the reality of the world. So then we have this flip towards the spiritual world. How does it happen? Etāvāj janma sāphalyam: You want perfection in your life? Then learn how to give everything in a way of Śreyas—of doing good for others. That's how you become happy. tava kathāmṛtaṁ tapta-jīvanaṁ kavibhir īḍitaṁ kalmaṣāpaham śravaṇa-maṅgalaṁ śrīmad ātataṁ bhuvi gṛṇanti ye bhūri-dā janāḥ (SB 10.31.9) When Caitanya Mahāprabhu heard this verse, He became so enlivened that He embraced Pratāparudra Mahārāja at this point, when he said this verse, and He said, "You are the most munificent. You are the most munificent," He was saying over and over again to Pratāparudra Mahārāja for reciting that verse and letting that vibration out into the world. Those who are giving Kṛṣṇa-kathā, those who are teaching others about Kṛṣṇa, they are the most munificent in the world.
