After years of feeding people experiencing homelessness from her own kitchen, Jasmine founded Goodr in 2017, a tech company that combats hunger and food waste. Jasmine also gave a TED Talk where she called for a radical transformation to our fight to end global hunger -- challenging people to rethink the routine approaches to addressing food insecurity and sharing how we can use technology to gather unused food and deliver it directly to people in need. Jasmine is the author of "Everybody Eats", a story about a girl named Carter who volunteers at a food bank for the first time. Hunger takes on a personal note when she runs into one of her friends from school. After reading a book on how she can help fight against hunger, Carter goes on a journey through her community to do what she can and teach others how they can help, too!

Blessed with two great kids, they didn't realize how impactful the birthing experiences were until sharing theirs with friends and family. Michelle's first pregnancy was normal and perfect, she wanted the same for the labor and birth...normal, natural. She took Bradley Method Classes, hired a doula and had a low intervention, natural hospital birth. Second time around she was older and wiser, birth two would be at home on Christmas night...same birth team! Both ​of them were inspired to teach The Bradley Method and they have been doing so since 2006. ​ Michelle is also a Certified Labor Doula, Evidence Based Birth Instructor and National Black Doula Association Doula Trainer & Mentor. In her spare time she loves supporting The Birth Center of NJ as their Doula Coordinator and Childbirth Instructor.

By the age of 17, she had a total of 5 brain surgeries. Those surgeries have affected her socially, mentally, and physically, but she pushed through it all she stayed positive. Now, she uses her experiences to help connect with others and motivate them to keep pushing themselves to reach their goals, even with their personal challenges in life.
