It's time to go back to my podcast origin story..... Some of you may remember 'the Fans Podcast' with Steve Fall - for a brief time in 2019 he ran a series of shows with reviews of Raw and more with the unique twist being that they would be a maximum of 5 minutes. My very first podcast assignment for Steve, and the very first ever episode of Mid South Moments, was covering a MSW tv show from October 1983 in five minutes. As such, I've gone back to the very start of this adventure with a super cut review of last nights 'Day One Raw' show from San Diego, California.
Mark Dunderdale & Stuart Roberts are back to review the episode of WWF Superstars that aired 24 hours before WrestleMania IX. We learn about how Shawn Michaels likes to sunbathe, Randy Savage's penchant for shopping and lots more in this Las Vegas based edition of WWF's then flag ship weekly program.
Mark Dunderdale & Stuart Roberts return to look at the episode of WWF Superstars that aired on April 4th 1992 - the day before WrestleMania VIII in the 4th show of our new series 'Go Home'. All the key angles are touched on, including the Elizabeth ‘centrefold' reveal, Hogan's impending retirement and much more.
Justine Cager returns for a look back at the final stop on the road to WrestleMania VII - it's WWF Superstars from March 23rd 1991 and all the build to Hogan vs Slaughter, Savage vs Warrior and more.
James Coleman returns to the show for some inter generational family festive fun with THREE FROM. If you're not familiar with the format, we have 8 wrestlers in a virtual hat, one is drawn out and we then watch together three of their most famous matches and have a jolly old time discussing. The wrestlers we draw from during this episode are as follows : 'Macho Man' Randy Savage, Saya Kamitani, AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, Hiroshi Tanahashi, CM Punk, Kenny Omega & Manami Toyota Listen now to see who is picked.....! (Episode recorded on 26th October 2023)
Our 'Go Home' series continues along with Justine Cager, looking back at the episode of WWF Superstars of Wrestling that aired the day before the Ultimate Challenge & WrestleMania VI. Judge for yourself from some of the descriptions of the promos from this show just how many 'energy drinks' were being consumed in the WWF in early 1990.
