Welcome to Mom Jeans - The Podcast. We dive into topics about the joys and struggles of motherhood. We are not experts, just a group of friends going through real mom talk.
Episode 49: We ask our go to pal, Chat GPT, what are some of the top pregnancy myths out there. We review them and discuss our experiences with each of them.
Episode 48: Lisa discusses losing her daughter's namesake and a good friend having a stroke. They discuss how fragile life is and a big fear of dying before their kids remember us. Of course, they have to talk about the Chappell Roan comment, as well.
Episode 47: A USAToday.com article discussed Gentle Parenting and the benefits (the child's future) and downsides (the parents' lack of current sanity). Danielle and Lisa would both consider themselves Gentle Parents with frequent slip-ups. They discuss how they were parented and how they would've wanted to be treated this way when they were children.
Episode 46: We asked Chat GPT: What are the top 10 mom myths? We go through a number of them and discuss our thoughts on them. We also dive into updates in the beginning before getting "on" topic.
Episode 45: Pregnancy Hormones are getting the best of Danielle right now. Have you had any or know anyone that has had some wild reactions to something that at the end of the day was small and inconsequential?
Episode 44: Danielle and Lisa have a discussion about the day to day life of a stay at home mom. If Danielle always planned on being a stay at home mom, how she fills her days and how some days are just darn right defeating.
Episode 43: On this episode Lisa and Danielle interview Kristen and Mickella about their decision not to have children. We get down to the why, the how they got to that conclusion and if they always knew they would end up kidless. Also, an update about the sex of Danielle's baby.
Episode 42: We invite Katy on to tell us about her decision to leave the full time working mom role. Katy imparts many words of wisdom on us throughout the episode. We had a great time discussing many different topics with her. And as the title suggests we disuss how 'Kids Are Nuts'.

Episode 39: Danielle and Lisa listen to a story that occurred in the UK where a group of 12 year olds had their phones taken away for 21 days. The results were quite interesting. Episode 38: We find a Reddit story about setting boundaries with Grandparents regarding holiday gift giving. Do you have guidelines for your parents, in-laws, family members? We have been trying to de-clutter our house and getting more toys is just the bane of our existence. On the other hand, we don't want our kids to feel slighted during the holidays. Episode 37: There have been recent articles and podcasts relating the lack of kid's independence to anxiety. We discuss what our childhoods were like in comparison to how we think we will be able to raise our kids independently.
Episode 36: In this episode we address breaking the cycle of how your parents did things. Are you raising your kids differently than your parents did? Are you taking some of the things they did?
Episode 35: We bring Kylie onto the podcast to discuss her decision to move from Australia to the US. We discuss what it has been like having kids in the US and where she sees her family living in the future.

Episode 31: We discuss the hot TikTok sensation of the mom that went on vacation to Disney without her kids (gasp!). We talk about our thoughts of her doing this and where we would not go on vacation without our kids.

Episode 29: Lisa did a deep dive into the parenting Reddits and found a story about a woman with terrible guilt for shaming her child. Lisa reads the story to Leeah and Danielle and asks them for their feed back on the story. We also have a call to action in regards to Halloween and thoughts on group costumes and giving candy to your child(ren).
Episode 28: The Surgeon General came out and warned that parenting can be hazardous to your parental mental health and well being. We review some of his key points and give our opinions on the matter.
Episode 27: We welcome Michelle back on the episode to check in about the birth of her second child, Parker. We talk about the similarities and differences with her second birth, being a mom to two, her recovery and her thoughts 3.5 weeks in.

Episode 13: In this episode we talk about maternal gatekeeping. We discuss how it impacts our day to day lives and the impact it has on our children's dads. What was meant to be a short, hot, topic turned into a bigger and deeper conversation.
Episode 12: We discuss our personal experiences during the fourth trimester, which is the 12 weeks following the birth of a baby. We talk about the fear, anxiety, and overstimulation we felt during this time, as well as the support we received from family members. We also mention the hormonal changes, sleep deprivation, and the challenges of figuring out how to care for a newborn. We highlight the importance of understanding and addressing the physical and emotional changes that occur during the fourth trimester. We also discuss the importance of setting boundaries with visitors and the introduction of dogs to our babies.
