Traveling with kids is hard. Change from their typical routine, food and sleep are hard for everyone. Behavior changes (tantrums, whining and crankiness) are likely to ensue. In this episode, we talk about how to navigate traveling with kids so you can make wonderful memories with your family in new places! Tips:1. Be flexible. Yes, kids thrive on routine and schedules and traveling disrupts that. Keep what routine you can and also be ok with deviations. Make these learning experiences part of the fun of traveling!2. Set expectations for them and for you. You will need to be flexible around things you may have rules about at home (for example, screen time). You can and need to have those rules and boundaries, but they might look different. The important thing is to HAVE rules and boundaries and be clear about how things might be different because you are traveling. 3. Be prepared. We talk about what is in our traveling "first aid kit".
