    According to Acts 1:8, Jesus has charged His church in two ways: He charged the church by giving them the Holy Spirit which empowers the believer. Jesus has also charged the church with a command "be my witnesses." He has given the church the power for one reason – to keep the command.  Pastor Cody explains that although promised power Christians often struggle with keeping the command. In this sermon, you will see that Jesus intended for His message to flow through us and into the lives of other people. But there is something that seeks to block the flow. For this reason, Paul tells the Colossian Church to pray that God would open doors for the word.
