Rob Reiner didn't ignore his son's struggles — he built a movie around them. He talked openly about the guilt, the missteps, the decades of trying. Michele carried the emotional weight of nearly 20 years of crisis. They were present, involved, and doing everything our system tells families to do. And still, they were left defenseless. In part two, former FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke explains the darkest truth: families are often fully aware someone is dangerous — but the law ties their hands. Parents cannot force an adult child into long-term treatment. They cannot limit their movements. They cannot compel medication. Without a documented, immediate threat, the system defaults to the rights of the individual — not the safety of the family. We explore: – How chronic crisis distorts judgment but also eliminates legal options – Why guilt, hope, and fear coexist in families trapped by mental-health laws – How caregivers often become targets because they are the safest emotional outlet – Why brutality in familial murders reflects years of psychological deterioration – The painful reality that love does not override a broken system This isn't a story about blind parents. It's a story about a system built to wait until the worst happens — and only then allows intervention. #ReinerMurders #RobinDreeke #TonyBrueski #HiddenKillers #MentalHealthCrisis #FamilyViolence #SystemicFailure #TrueCrimePodcast #ParentalGuilt #LegalLimitations Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Today, Jay sits down with Kris Jenner for a raw and candid conversation about her roots, family, and the incredible lessons she’s learned. Kris was raised by her mother and grandmother, two driven and hardworking women who modeled independence, discipline, and purpose. She shares how those early lessons in responsibility and perseverance laid the foundation for the life she would later build, both as a businesswoman and as the matriarch of a global family brand. Throughout their conversation, Kris speaks about her devotion to family, her faith, and her unshakable sense of gratitude. She reflects on the importance of being present in a fast-paced world that often glorifies busyness and distraction. Jay and Kris explore what it means to slow down and truly feel present in each moment, to look beyond the screens, the schedules, and the noise, and to rediscover joy in the simple things. Kris opens up about motherhood and the unique bond she shares with each of her six children, how she worked intentionally to raise them with structure, compassion, and drive while fostering unity instead of competition. She talks about her daily prayers for guidance and peace, finding meaning even in moments of hardship, and choosing to lead with love, even when met with misunderstanding or pain. In this interview, you'll learn: How to Lead with Gratitude Every Day How to Raise Ambitious but Grounded Kids How to Slow Down and Be Fully Present How to Build a Family Rooted in Love, Not Competition How to Balance Success with Inner Peace How to Protect Your Peace in a Noisy World Life has a way of reminding us that true success isn’t measured by status or possessions, it’s found in the quiet moments of gratitude, in the love we give, and in the peace we choose to protect. Each challenge we face holds a lesson, each chapter an invitation to grow with grace and faith. Natalie MacMaster is a virtuoso Canadian fiddle player from Cape Breton who's brought traditional East Coast music to the rest of the world. She was nine when she got her first fiddle, but she felt like she already had nine years of experience at that point because she had been surrounded by fiddle music from the time she was born. Now, Natalie has released a new memoir, “I Have a Love Story,” which traces her incredible life in music. She sits down with Tom Power to talk about that first fiddle she got at nine, the advice Santana gave her when she broke a string on stage, and how to get your kids to practice the fiddle (she has seven children herself).

I hope you enjoy listening to our personal, mother - daughter conversation!PS: This video is also on my Youtube channel: Kristine van Dooren, Finding Purpose

New Moons are always about fresh starts and setting intentions, and when it occurs in its home sign of Cancer, the focus shifts to deeply personal areas of life: home, family, emotional security, roots, and our inner world. This particular New Moon is amplified by a significant alignment: the Sun and Moon are tightly conjunct with Jupiter in Cancer. Dream big and visualize your ideal reality.Other Key Aspects During this Week:While the New Moon is the highlight, other planetary movements contribute to the week's energy:Sun-Jupiter Conjunction (June 24th): Just before the New Moon, the Sun and Jupiter meet in Cancer. This "Day of Miracles" (as some astrologers call it) brings immense optimism, good fortune, and a feeling of "can-do." It's a fantastic energy to tap into for expanding your vision and feeling hopeful.New Moon Square Saturn and Neptune: While generally positive, the New Moon's squares to Saturn (in Aries) and Neptune (in Aries, balsamic phase) suggest areas where challenges or illusions might arise.Square Saturn: May bring a need to be realistic and practical about your desires, or to address emotional blocks and fears of vulnerability. It's about grounding your expansive dreams with tangible effort.Square Neptune: Could introduce confusion or a need for discernment. Be mindful of setting realistic expectations and avoid getting swept away by illusions. Our God is a community of persons who haved loved and honored each other from all eternity. Our families have a chance to display this mystery to the world. To read the original post, visit https://www.theapollosproject.com/family-love-makes-the-triune-god-visible/
In this very special and deeply personal episode, I sit down with the wisest woman I know, my 97-year-old grandmother, Shirley Curtis. We recorded a conversation prior to this as a way to preserve our family history, but the response from my community when I shared a photo of us talking was so overwhelming that I knew I had to bring it to Good Skin Circle. And I'm so glad I did.My grandma grew up during the Great Depression on a working farm, where her father raised registered Black Angus cattle. She started working at the age of 10 and never stopped. She's lived through wars, economic downturns, societal shifts, and the kind of day-to-day sacrifice most of us couldn't imagine. In our conversation, she shares what it was like to live her entire life in a marriage that lacked, but was built on loyalty and family values. She opens up about the reality of self-sacrifice, her unwavering commitment to kindness and respect, and her belief that like attracts like, and kind attracts kind. It's honest. It's funny. It's emotional. It's the type of conversation that gently reminds you how privileged we are — to have choices, to pursue work we love, and to practice self-care as an act of freedom.I cried listening back to it. I hope it stirs something in you, too.
