The fusion between Odd & Even - Light & Dark - Waveform & Transfer!
Eddie Hale began exploring electronic music in 2003. Embodied in a heritage of classical to contemporary music, it wasn't until he engaged in seminal records like Nightmares on Wax – Smoker's Delight and Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works that the electronic spark was ignited. Eddie was immediately influenced by the cutting-edge 90's and early 00's Detroit legacy, followed by a move to Berlin, which, as he recalls “had a big impact on me through the freedom experienced there, but also the heavy ‘Berlin luft' atmosphere, which I found really moving.” 2008 saw the start of Eddie's DJ career; as he cut his teeth with house and electro in home town Melbourne. Reflecting on this period, he acknowledges, “those early days really cemented my love for it, being given the opportunity to perform at iconic Australian festivals like Strawberry Fields and Rainbow Serpent.” 2014 saw Eddie travel across the globe to display his hard work in Amsterdam at ADE, a set at Mardi Gras 2017 in Sydney, followed by a 2019 trip to Berlin's notorious Tresor. His productions consist of rich, swirling, synthesised chords; raw drum patterns and deep grooves. The Eddie Hale sound is soulful, futuristic and full of energy - filled by techno, breaks and ambience. This versatility, coupled with sound production prowess has inevitably led him to collaborations, projects and releases with some of the finest artists and labels from Berlin to Detroit. Notable mentions include 2015 EP's on Flash Recordings, and DJ300's Motech followed by acclaimed cuts on respected imprints Intacto Records and Kevin Saunderson's classic KMS. More recently, mid2019 saw ‘Ritus', an alias between Eddie and Ray Kajioka on Swedish label Parabel. 2020 will play base for new material on ODD/ EVEN, Andre Kronert's bespoke vinyl label, with a remix by Jon Hester included. Subsequent to this comes the launch of record label ‘Denude' a new special project by Eddie, consisting of vinyl releases, supported by remixes from Joel Mull and TWR72. Jon Hester got his start in the midwest US, living in Chicago, Minneapolis, and connecting with Detroit. After years on the dance floor he took to the decks, going on to work in a record shop, host his own events, and hold residencies that developed his sound. Music production and a move to Berlin followed, but dancing and mixing are still the inspirations that drive him to create. His DJ sets are built on physical rhythms and adventurous programming, effortlessly combining diverse varieties of techno and house. With an engaging presence and a knack for telling a story, he builds a unique connection with each audience, and works any room until it sweats. Born in the small town Wittenberg, Germany, in 1980. The Berlin-based Techno producer and DJ, has been working in the scene as DJ/ Live Act, producer and remixer since 1995. Ray Kajioka is best known for his releases on Kanzleramt Music, as well as for his remixes for Joel Mull, Dave Clarke, Secluded, Elbee Bad, Estroe, Alexander Kowalski, Marc Romboy, SIS, Pan-Pot, Pawas, Beroshima and more. A distinguishing and striking aspect of his music is certainly the warm spheric and impulsive sound, which is constantly present in all his productions. Ray's live and DJ-performance encompasses all the elements of today's modern Techno/Nu-House, but has its feet frmly planted in the roots of the Detroit-vibe. “The typical Ray-sound” is appreciated all around the globe and had taken him to events international-wide. Flug, as his name suggests, allows his audience to take a trip back to their roots, back to their inner self and what it is to really feel techno. In venues such as, Space Ibiza, Suicide Circus Berlin, Rex Paris, Razzmatazz Barcelona, Hyte Amsterdam, or festival as DGTL, Nature One , MAYDAY, to name a few, the Argentinian´s definition of techno has been clearly demonstrated not only through his DJ sets that are as devastating as they are uplifting with his serious kick drums, use of hi-hats and reverberating basslines, but also through driving his own organically produced techno forward with an EP released on Chris Liebing imprint CLR - 'Sincrodestino', remixes for SOMA - Slam Reverse Proceed Remixes, his recently releases on Jam, Sam Paganini's label and Spanish best seller label Suara only to scratch the surface, cutting his industrially chizzled sound with melodical rythms both elegant and almost eloquent in nature. His album ‘In Safe Hidding' released on mid 2016 on the german label Nachtstrom Schallplatten by far his most personal and reflective piece of work, as it is, in his words, "statement of freedom” was acclaimed by the press, Mixmag Germany album of the month, and rated with a 10/10. His music is now recognized and played worldwide having artists such as, Chris Liebing, Adam Beyer, Sam Paganini, Amelie Lens, Len Faki, Dave Clark, Ben Sims, Speedy J, DVS1, Joseph Capriatti, among many others, as supporters of his work. Flug´s unrivaled and brutal self-discipline in the studio, his humbleness in approach, his fierce passion for and overall dedication to the cause, as well as having grown up living and breathing electronic music, have given Flug, real name Sebastian, a long and welcoming insight into what it really means to be a DJ and producer in today's techno world, which in his opinion, means keeping it real. Having a solid carrer in what he truly loves, Flug announces the start of his own record label called Rawcuts Musik later this year. no tracklist This show is syndicated & distributed exclusively by Syndicast. One hour masterpiece from the human machine Fabrizio Rat. He combines the acoustic sounds and weird harmonics of his prepared piano with the powerful soundscape of techno music. Unsurprisingly, it's in front of the dancefloor, in clubs or festivals, that Fabrizio plays his live sets. With the right hand he plays repetitive rhythmical patterns while the left one handles the machines (effects, TB-303, TR-8) and manipulates the piano strings. His goal is to reach the trance, to project on the dancers the hypnotic state of my right hand moving on the piano. no tracklist This show is syndicated & distributed exclusively by Syndicast. Producing is a very different art than performing live. The dimension of sharing is indeed displaced. On a stage, the music-maker shares an intimate process openly, creating a whole living organism where the sound, the audience and himself are an equal part of. On the studio, the artist is alone, and in this loneliness he is facing not only his machines, but himself; and the sense, in music, forms itself in the mind of the composer while creating. What happens then, when two very different minds, going through two very different creating process, decide to share this ultimately intimate experience? The singularities of each personalities blend together, and through the music comes a new perception, the one of a musical friendliness. Music is animated by the desire to explore the unknown, and music has for only role to keep the spirituality of each individual alive – and a piece created by two different visions takes you to unexpected territories. 3KZ is the Italian duo composed by Z.I.P.P.O & KAELAN no tracklist This show is syndicated & distributed exclusively by Syndicast. It's not just the individual records that matter. It's the moment they meet in a DJ-set. That fleeting, one of a kind space in between. When something almost impossible to grasp forms, just for a short while. Only to vanish again, remaining in the mind.. It's this feeling that drew Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Jeff Rushin to techno and what has kept him there since. In a career that now spans over two decades, he's played throughout Europe, hitting smaller clubs, major venues and global festivals alike. Always looking to experiment with a wide range of sounds, a Rushin-set aims is warm, energetic and different every time. As a producer, Jeff is faithful to techno's rhythmic machine-roots while also allowing emotion and atmosphere to slip through. His records are made for the dancefloor as well as the mind. He has dropped releases on a number of imprints including Weekend Circuit, his own On and On Records and the infamous Mote Evolver, his tracks getting picked up by numerous international DJ's. To top it all off, Jeff's also the driving, creative mind behind the respected On and On events, which have become engrained within Amsterdam's busy nightlife scene. Eager to play, in search of those unique moments once more. no tracklist This show is syndicated & distributed exclusively by Syndicast. Since twenty years, Electric Rescue is considered one of the made-in-France masterpieces of the electronic music but also a worldwide renowned artist. Electric Rescue has been forging a strong specificity in the electronic landscape by defending a techno neither conceding nor creating compromises, similar in this aspect to his mentor and friend Laurent Garnier. Electric Rescue is also a famous name as live artist and DJ. Since two decades, he has been traveling the world preaching the techno good word with passion and modesty. He had the opportunity to play in mythic clubs like Berghain, Tresor, The Egg. His artistic effervescence is also the result of his good Skryptöm Records management, an establishment he founded in 2006. Considered as a discrete but efficient techno activist. no tracklist This show is syndicated & distributed exclusively by Syndicast. Techno in full on precision. Honest, deep and punchy with a raw straightforwardness. Driving, hypnotic sounds blend with rough energetic originals into some form of hybrid live / DJ-Set, deconstructing and reassembling any way he needs them, until it sounds perfect to him and coalesces into a unified whole. This is Simo Lorenz. A commanding, precise and painstaking work on his drum machines, controllers and mixing desk is what distinguishes him: each flick of the wrist fits. His own independent technoid utopia. A fan once aptly described it as „Balls to the wallhammer bass with that into the void hypnosis stuff on top of it“. As a founding member of prestigious booking agency Blakksheep he is a weighty member of the international Techno scene, touring through selected clubs in major cities around the world (Barcelona, London, Mexico City, Berlin, Stockholm, Vienna, Amsterdam, Paris and many more) as well as being a regular at festivals like SEMF, Amsterdam Dance Event, Rave on Snow or Nature One. His residencies include Lehmann Club in Stuttgart, Germany as well as legendary Bar Americas in Guadalajara, Mexico. As a producer he established himself on internationally renowned labels like Nachtstrom Schallplatten while 2017 an own 12-inch will be released on Concepts Of Time. An affection to vinyl at an early stage is most probably the best precondition to become somebody finally ending up playing those vinyls for people. somebody with a musical background. somebody serving and educating people at the same time. somebody being called dj. this is exactly what happened to alex back then in the very early 90`s. he acquired a musical background. he was asked to play records in front of people. he became a dj. even at that early stage, when still buying loads of records out of several genres, from 70´s disco via lots of 80`s pop, synthiepop, wave, ebm, gothic rock to 90`s independent, grunge, even hip hop and again the more darker side of synthie-based popmusic, alex already was very much into this new upcoming style called techno. like a lot of fellows at this early ravedays, the first contacts were slightly commercial. these techno trax cd compilations have not really been digging into the underground back in those days, but they have been good enough to become curious on what could be below this superficial surface. quite soon alex discovered a universe of new sounds, new music and styles, ranging from basicchannel, which is the "soul of techno" for alex, to the frankfurt school of techno with its very own sound, defined by labels like eye q and harthouse, but at the same time also early stuff from the berlin-based tresor label or u.s. based artists like jeff mills and his axis label were part of the first open to close sets during his first residency at libella, altenmarkt between 1994 and 1998. a small, dreamy spot close to the alps, but very innovative, alternative and step ahead by pure open mindness. by the way, also on of the first spots the famous dj hell got to dj in the late 80ies. versatility was the key back then to keep people in the club until the end, something he preserved until today. alex became addicted. though the medium to play music has changed to a pretty complex digital dj-setup, the approach is still the same. touring the world from buenos aires to tokyo or sydney to new york, having played and still playing clubs like u60311, lehmann, tresor, berghain and festivals like loveparade, rave on snow, nature one, almost countless releases on numerous labels, including some of the biggest within the techno cosmos like clr or also cocoon plus running his very own label credo for years alex is not about to expect himself to be the superstar dj or the product to be marketed. though the techno he is playing is straight, powerful, bassy and modern, in this respect alex is very oldschool. it`s still the music that has to speak for itself and the vibe created by the selection of music he is presenting which are the dominant factors on how a night goes. of course building a relation to the crowd is as important as the music and the place where it is played, but in the end it is as simple as he tells: "expect the whole party to be like a movie, and while the people on the dancefloor are the main actors i´m just delivering the soundtrack...". no Tracklist This show is syndicated & distributed exclusively by Syndicast. If you ask anyone in the music industry how they started their sonic journey of discovery, many will cite the radio or a certain DJ or band. For Jonas Kopp, that magical moment occurred as he began his teenage years with a piece of music that would shape his life: Kraftwerk's seminal album, Trans Europa Express. “From that moment nothing was the same.” he recalls. “My father had seen I was interested in music and bought me a turntable and some vinyl.” Gaining all the skills needed to be a DJ, he burst on to the scene in the mid '00s working as a resident DJ at a local radio station in his hometown of Buenos Aires. Aged 19, as Area 64, he had already made his first full length CD. no Tracklist This show is syndicated & distributed exclusively by Syndicast.
