MNMT Label Showcase presents Northallsen Records mixed by Aleja Sanchez (@djalejasanchez) Northallsen Records is an electronic music label founded in Bogotá, Colombia in 2016 by Aleja Sanchez. The label's sound embraces the realms of hypnotism and explores the fusion between organic soundscapes, experimental and acoustic elements, with the powerful load of techno music, revealing a sonic narrative that flows between the mysticism of ancestral cultures and the spiritual power of nature. In order to build the concept, far away from trying to emulate a sound, the label curation is focused on artists with their own identity and particular voice, with a foundation into their musical and artistic proposals. Recent releases have featured the likes of Oscar Mulero, Deepbass, Reggy van Oers, Magna Pia, Polygonia, Tekra, !nertia, Psyk, Laertes, Iori and founder Aleja Sanchez. Traversable Message is the current project of Juan Pulgarín, DJ and producer from Pereira (Colombia) began in 2007. From that year until today, he has been constantly exploring and developing his own musical identity. His sound swings between Techno, Ambient, Drone and Experimental music. This makes it the perfect balance between the dance floor and the mind, using simplicity as a tool for immersion in his sessions. Surrounding atmospheres with kicks, deep and rhythmic drum loops, combined with analog synthesisers and drum machines that give a warm and lively sound to the dance floor. He constantly appeared at Garden Underground Club (Pereira – Colombia) since 2013, where he had the opportunity to play alongside artists of the like of Christian Wunch, Lewis Fautzi, Lucy and Kwartz, among others. As a producer, he is characterised by the many modulations, dense bass lines and enveloping atmospheres that make his music something very special. He actively works at G89 Records (Chile), a label where he released his own EP as “PULSARES” and “WORMHOLE”, in 2019, in addition to other works for labels such as No Way Records, Northallsen Records, Aarden Records, Artscope, Circular Limited. He's also the founder of Virescence Records, label focused on ambient, experimental and techno music. Born in Bogota, Colombia, Aleja Sanchez has been active in the techno scene since 2007. A mental and deep but forceful sound combined with a natural penchant for experimental and diverse soundscapes with raw lines have laid the foundations for her to develop a highly unique musical voice into the International techno circuit. This aesthetic applies to her DJ sets and explains why she has been invited to direct the booths in places like Tresor.Berlin (Germany), Stardust (Spain), Razzmatazz (Spain), Perpetum (Czech Republic), Flex (Austria), Sound Deparment (Italy) & Boiler Room. As a producer Aleja Sanchez is not only a regular contributor to Nachtstrom Schallplatten and Planet Rhythm but also a fundamental piece of Illegal Alien Records and the label head of Northallsen Records. With an experimental hypnotic and fused techno and a gentle and melancholic ambient current she reveals her stylized and unique sound. Deepness, quality and versatility are characteristics of Aleja Sanchez who always strives to create a unique dialogue between the environment, techno and experimental electronics, carefully curated and skillfully organized in an unique and sonorous landscape both in the studio and behind the decks.
