TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ TRIPEO Over the years, Tripeo has edged out an exceptional corner of the techno spectrum for himself. Brought to life as Darko Esser's puristic alter ego, he has gradually returned to his namegiver's eclectic roots, while also delving deeper into his musical metier. Each new Tripeo track is a clever patchwork of pulsating rhythms and minimalistic melodies – seemingly simple, yet utterly refined. Darko Esser's devotion to electronic music spans several decades. He has built his international reputation based in two small, but tight-knit music communities in Holland. First as a talent buyer at Groningen's Simplon, later as a booker and resident of Doornroosje in Nijmegen. Productionwise, Darko Esser has first brought out a string of superb releases under his own name, including his debut album, also called ‘Balans'. Tripeo's ‘First Trip' in 2012 was meant as somewhat of a side project. But soon enough, his new monicker struck a chord with connoisseurs worldwide. Especially when he unleashed his critically acclaimed album ‘Anipintiros' in 2014, making him a household name from Berlin to Buenos Aires, and from Great-Britain to Georgia. Georgia's Tblisi is one of the remarkable places abroad where Darko has found a deeper connection with the local crowd. The fearless determination and graceful open-mindedness of Bassiani's techno community have been an inspiration in both his DJ sets and productions. It makes perfect sense for him to release his most diverse Tripeo album to date on the club's esteemed label. Further exploring the crossroads between fierceness and vulnerability, ‘Green Is the New Red' incorporates experimental escapades like electro and ambient. Relentless and emotionally charged, this is Tripeo at his most compelling. Jay began DJing at ripe age of 16 and by 18 he was asked to be resident at Disco Nouveau, a long running underground club night in his hometown of Mullingar. Fast forward a couple of years and he was invited to be resident at Twelfth Planet until he decided to begin his own journey as an independent promoter. With a career spanning well over a deacde Jay has graced some of Irelands most iconic venues such as; Tripod, The Tivoli Theatre, The Twisted Pepper and more. The Twisted Pepper (now Wigwam) has been home to many of Jay's show's and provided cathartic techno experiences for many punters. Since 2013 Mutate Events has been focused on bringing quality techno to Dublin with such artists as; Jeroen Search, Roman Lindau, Lewis Fautzi, Stefan Vincent, Abstract Division, Tensal, Abdulla Rashim, Tripeo, Mama Snake, Volvox, Amotik, Jamaica Suk, Rune Bagge, Héctor Oaks, Silent Servant, UVB, Charlton, RIVET along with many, many more. You get the jist…Jay most definitely knows what he's at. Working alongside and garnering support from some of the longest running nights Ireland has to offer such as Jamie Behan's Bastardo Electrico, Subject, Life Festival & Research, he has given his all to promoting a vibrant underground scene for the capital. He has a bi-weekly radio show on Ireland's number one online radio station, alongside his residents, UNTHINK, Corner, Exit the Void & Niall Cleary on Dublin Digital Radio, where he showcases the best upcoming talent Ireland's techno scene has to offer. This mix offers a slice of what Jay is all about, an ensemble of techno of various sorts rolled into a warped two hour trip. Jay made a point of playing unreleased music from various Irish producers including Aero, Fyun, David O'neil, Offtrack and more. A smooth yet carnivorous trip around Jay's back catalogue leaves the listener on the edge of their seat, unsure of what gnarly turn the mix might take next. This is the techno equivalent of a page turner novel.

Vohkinne is a DJ and producer from Australia. For 20 years he's been a staple of the techno scene in his home town of Melbourne, gaining respect from his peers both near and far for his unwavering dedication to dark, atmospheric and steely techno. As the label head of Atrophic Society, Vohkinne has enjoyed the success of his own tracks as well as father the releases of Ben Sims, Brendon Moeller, Tripeo, Patrik Skoog, Material Object, DJ Spider, Ground Loop, Gotshell, Jeff Derringer, Xhin. Savas Pascalidis, and Audio Injection. Danniel Odell was born in Medellín, Colombia, with a unique curiosity about music, as a child, his family showed him many Latin rhythms, since then he decided to make music part of his life. He had never seen a DJ in his life before, but he started listening to techno on the radio, remember that he used to listen to Mauro Picotto, Danilo Vigorito, Joy Kitikonti ... among others. From that moment he fell in love with music, began to investigate, where it came from, who produces this type of music and at that moment he knew what a DJ can do, and that was it, he realized that he wanted to be a DJ for the rest of his life He used to play music for his family, put on headphones and started playing for his family, he only laughed when he remembered those days. He officially begins his career in 2005 when he starts playing in small clubs and in some friends bars, private parties ... In 2006 he met one of his best friends and colleague TacoMan, he was one of his motivators to continue pursuing his dream. They start playing in big local clubs like La Kasa, Carnival, Elektra, Oceania, among others. After that, he began to meet new DJS and artists of the scene like John Aquaviva, in mid-2010 he released his record label called STEAM CIRCUIT, 2012 he got his first concert outside of Colombia, landed in Chile. His tour of Chile was with his friend Deraout, they played in cities like Antofagasta, then in some clubs in Santiago and in one of the best radios in Cigarra.FM. He has shared a stand with SuperFlu, Aldo Foshino, Rodrigo Valvidia, Rodriguez JR, Perc, Ansome, Tripeo, ... and many more. His most recent project is a sample of his record label "Raven Black" in some clubs in the city. Berlin-based label @Suburban-Avenue releases a V/A compilation featuring 21 unreleased tracks for example from Drafted, Simone Gatto, Cyspe, Tripeo, Kwartz, Leiras and Pär Grindvik. Monument premieres track "Unreleased #1" by @TheGodsPlanet, a duo consisting of two Italian pioneers of hypnotic techno, @ClaudioPRC and @Ness. The Resistance Vol. II is out in digital format on September 23rd.

Labelowner of Balans, Wolfskuil and off cours the Tripeo label. He has some new releases coming up soon. A new project with other dutch artist Doka will be released on the Tripeo label next spring and a remix for Hemka on the Balans label will be released soon too. February 17 you can find him playing in Rote Sonne on a Wolfskuil night together with Architectural, on march 2 in Tresor Berlin for a Tresor meets PoleGroup. Also in march he will be touring South America, and he will have some great gigs in Spain, on march 16 in Razzmatazz Barcelona for a Machine Night with Ben Sims and Cadans and on march 17 in Fabrik Madrid. AVION The new Episode comes from the inside of CROSSING-ALEX with its founder AVION. Playing his first gig when he was 15 years old electronic music became a main factor in his life. AVIONs passion for music started early inspired by his brother and artists like Jeff Mills, Depeche Mode, Nirvana or Björk. His first visit to Tresor Club at the age of 14 was severe. The lights and darks, the atmosphere and sound. From then there was no way back. Over the years he played at several local and transregional clubs and organised together with friends his own local parties. After leaving his hometown he settled down in Berlin and started intensively working on his musical view and producer skills. The future plans grew and by launching ‘Crossing‘ end of 2013 he established his own platform for floor orientated puristique electronic music. Crossing released works from Pfirter, Doka, Distant Echoes, Thomas Hessler, Blind Observatory, Stefan Rein, Tripeo and himself. For this Episode AVION selected Tracks combined between Acid, Industrial Moods and Techno which inspired in the last month as well as upcoming stuff on his imprint Crossing.
