Once again, they started their day with the outstanding collaboration between West Sixth and Country Boy, the Country Western Cinnamon Toast Stout. John and Mark once again visit the West Sixth Farm for an in-person, socially distanced podcast. They had some of the West Sixth/Country Boy Cinnamon Toast Stout collaboration. They talked about how they are using iOS 14, along with some Big Sur talk.
John and Mark ventured to Madtree Brewing in Cincinnati for a socially distanced in-person episode. The brunch menu from Catch a Fire was very inviting! John had the hash quesadilla and Mark had shrimp and grits. Both were outstanding, especially with the Madtree beer for breakfast. They talked a little about the worsening COVID-19 problems. The plan was to talk about how they were keeping up with the roller-coaster election results, but as they finished their first beer, Joe Biden was declared the next President of the United States.
John and Mark started off talking about the upcoming election. They enjoyed the Every Vote Counts Hazy Pale Ale from Madtree Brewing. They had a really cool conversation about activist, digital rights leader and scifi author Cory Doctorow. His books Little Brother and Homeland were influential in further crafting their world view. John has started Cory's new book, Attack Surface, and taunted Mark about how good it was so far!
John and Mark recorded safely and live at England Idlewild Park in Burlington, KY. They drank some amazing beer from Braxton Brewing as they talked about podcasting equipment. They might have in line with the flight path of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
John and Mark welcomed Jody McCann to the podcast to chat about music. After they talked about craft beer and wine, they jumped into how they have listened to music over the years, Jody's "hobby" with public radio engineering and show hosting. Jody will be back on the podcast soon to finish talking about topics they didn't get to cover, such as the DMCA, Fair Use and how the EFF helps.
