Harvey Brownstone conducts an in-depth interview with Bill Mumy, Renowned Actor, Musician, Writer and Author, “Danger, Will Robinson: The Full Mumy, A Memoir” About Harvey's guest: Today's special guest, Bill Mumy, is an actor, musician and writer, who's been entertaining the world since he was 5 years old. In fact, he was by far the most successful, recognizable and popular child star in the 60's and 70's. He appeared in dozens of TV shows including “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet”, “Bewitched”, “The Twilight Zone”, “Alfred Hitchcock Presents”, “The Fugitive”, and many more. But he's best remembered for playing “Will Robinson” on the iconic, classic TV series, “Lost in Space”, which holds a permanent place in pop culture history. He starred in 4 Disney movies and appeared in many other films including “A Child is Waiting”, “Dear Brigitte”, “Palm Springs Weekend”, and “Bless the Beasts & Children”. In fact – and this is really jaw-dropping – this man worked with more legendary superstars by the time he hit puberty, than most A-list actors ever do in their entire lives. He worked with everyone from Red Skelton, Loretta Young, Franchot Tone, June Allyson, to Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, Judy Garland, Gene Kelly, Jackie Gleason – and yes, even Brigitte Bardot. And get this: in a highly publicized interview, Jimmy Stewart said that our guest was the ONLY child actor he'd EVER worked with who was worth a damn. What a compliment! As an adult, he's appeared in many movies like “Papillon”, “Sunshine”, “The Twilight Zone movie”, “Double Trouble”, “Hard to Hold”, and the 1st “Captain America” feature film. And on TV, he's appeared in “The Rockford Files”, “Star Trek: Deep Space 9”, “The Adventures of Superboy”, ”Matlock”, “Diagnosis Murder”, and he played “Lennier” for 5 seasons on “Babylon 5”. And of course, EVERY “Lost in Space” fan was OVERJOYED to see him appear as “the real Dr. Smith” in the 2018 Netflix reboot of “Lost in Space”. Throughout his life, he's been a highly accomplished and popular musician, both as a solo artist AND as a member of several bands, including “Redwood”, “The Generators”, “Action Skulls” and “Barnes & Barnes”, whose song, “Fish Heads” became a worldwide hit. He's released over a dozen albums. And he got an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition. Besides being an actor and musician, he's had a prolific voiceover career, and he narrated over 50 episodes of A & E Biography. He was even the voice of Farmers Insurance for 11 years. He's created and written numerous comic books, screenplays and novels. And for 4 years, he produced, wrote and hosted his own weekly radio show. And now, FINALLY, he's released his highly anticipated memoir entitled, “Danger, Will Robinson: The Full Mumy: A Memoir”, which gives us a very insightful, honest and entertaining look not only at his multi-faceted career, but more importantly, we get to know him as a son, grandson, husband, father, grandfather and human being. In this episode we pick up where we left off in episode 115. After I let you go last time, I found out that I had 45 more minutes that I could gamble with. I was able to get to one more place on the way home. I woke up this morning ready to battle. But my car had other plans. Almost 200 miles away from home I get an error that it has low power and it cuts out on me on the highway. We still find a way to get some play in today but the results were not good. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/mw-usa/support

It can feel challenging sometimes, especially if you were raised as a “blue collar kid” to take time to rest even when it's needed. But the push back against resting is really just an old pattern of societal pressure and subconscious programming, that we can not only let go of, but we can replace with a more helpful way of thinking. Today on The Karen Kenney Show, we're talking about how the brain loves to keep us “safe” by keeping us in what is familiar. When we start to move into areas that are outside of our known comfort zone, like slowing down and taking a break - our brain can go into the “Danger Will Robinson” panic mode. Knowing this, we sometimes need to give each other and ourselves a permission slip to let go and stop resisting the rest our body needs. Call it a sick day, a day of Sabbath or a sabbatical - sometimes it's just what the doctor ordered. The truth is just because we could keep going and doing, doesn't mean we should. Just because we can, doesn't mean it makes a whole lot of sense to do it. As a Generator (in my Human Design) I can do a lot of things. But it doesn't mean that it's what's best for me, the other people, the program, the product, or the project I'm working on to do that. So, I'm going to let you in on a little secret; take it from a “blue collar kid” who was taught to bust her ass and knows how to work really hard… It's okay to take a rest and doing so is not a weakness. Stop resisting a rest when you need it and you'll probably find that you're even more present, positive and productive in the end as a result. This is Coronavirus 411, the latest COVID-19 info and new hotspots for November 19th, 2021. It's known for its festive Christmas markets but health officials in Germany say they could be heading for a terrible Christmas. New measures were approved yesterday to rein in record infections and some German states are considering mandatory vaccinations for some professional groups like medical staff. Again, it is good to be Pfizer. The U.S. government will pay the company $5.29 billion for 10 million courses of its potential COVID treatment if regulators authorize it. That's about $529 per course if you're doing the math. The President said in a statement the treatments “will be easily accessible and free,” although the taxpayers just paid $5.29 billion. Still, these treatments have been repeatedly called potential game changers. Unvaccinated Army soldiers are starting to get their marching orders. They will not be allowed to re-enlist or be promoted. This also applies to reservists and National Guardsmen. 28% of the entire U.S. Army is not yet fully vaccinated. New research shows the pandemic has brought on an "emerging public health concern" of people losing their sense of smell. Like, for a long time. The estimate is between 700,000 and 1.6 million people in the US who had COVID have lost or had a change in their sense of smell that has lasted more than 6 months, and that's likely an underestimate. They say some may never regain it. Why is the sense of smell lost? Scientists have no idea. If you don't like needles or humans, have we got a story for you. A Canadian startup has built a vaccine robot that can dose you in the arm without a needle or any human help. You use an app to register with the robot, prove your identity by holding an ID card in front of its camera, the robot arm retrieves the vaccine and uses a sensor to find your arm, then injects the vaccine using a brief, high-pressure jet of fluid with no needle. If it detects you have COVID at the time, it starts yelling Danger Will Robinson. Okay that last part isn't true. Monkeys in dresses, the plural of Cyclops, an improbable glass bus, space incest, and gender inequality all emerge as themes in the unaired pilot for "Lost in Space"! Join us as we dive into the awesome future world of 1997 as seen through the lens of 1965's "Master of Disaster", Irwin Allen. Before the flailing robot existed, before Dr. Zachary Smith was a character, before "Danger Will Robinson" was ever uttered, CBS launched the Robinsons into the outer worlds and flew the Gemini 12 directly into a field of asteroids, promptly losing the most expensive science experiment ever created by Man.The Booze Raccoons (James, Gretchen, Alex, Dave, and Judith) reassemble to review the awful unaired pilot of the seminal TV show and discuss the ridiculous episode in our living room on Alex's birthday. Alex announces his new podcast, "Nuking Aliens", a still unreleased project he's been working on for 83 episodes, without releasing a single show. Dave assassinates the engineering choices of the Robinson Family's space car boat. Judith hates all over the space monkey. Gretchen keeps talking about crinkly avocado boobs for some reason, and James stumbles over words normal humans can utter with perfection.Strap your jetpacks on, Penny rode a space turtle into the jungle again!

Danger Will Robinson! Danger! The Galactic Driftwood crew took another trip up to Lyons Nebraska to visit Bill Hedges and his wonderful world of science fiction! This time, they didn't go alone! Traveling with were the fantastic Katie Otten (@KatieOtten13), Josh Caito(@j_caito)! The crew had a fine time cosplaying and touring the many wonders that Bill has made out in rural Nebraska. This week, we'll be talking about that trip, and talking with Bill Hedges and Josh Caito who joined us on the recording! Join us as we talk about the first convention like experience that we've had in nearly a year and a half that we dubbed Cosmic Con!
1. Today is a much more subdued trading session after yesterday's wild action. yesterday, the market came roaring back into the closing bell. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) actually finished positive by the close. Today, we are back to a much lighter volume session, so it will be important to see the charts by the close. 2. Now this should be the talk of town right now. Yesterday, news was released that Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said that rates might need to rise to keep the economy from overheating. Last night, she walked back that comment when speaking to the Wall Street Journal CEO Council Summit. She said, “so let me be clear: That’s not something I’m predicting or recommending.” This should tell every investor that the central bank knows it's the only game in town keeping these markets up right now. 3. Dogecoin fiasco it was obviously a coordinated hit job on Elon Musk. How else do a hit job on the world’s second richest man? No self-respectiing crypto “investor” would ever sell because of a joke on a lame show. 4. Gold/Silver Still going up. Nick closed IAU options position. We’re at criticial resistance. Once we go above, then it’s off to the races. It all started in late March off “W”.

After nearly three years of podcasting on all things fantastic, we are finally getting around to one of the most fantastic, entertaining shows ever made: the 1960s classic, Lost in Space! We'll dive into the origins of the show, how it got made, what was in the pilot (which was never shown on TV), and some of the other actors considered for the roles of the Jupiter 2 crew. Can you say Carroll O'Connor??Of course, you can't talk about Lost in Space without talking about the triumvirate of the Robot, Dr. Smith, and Will Robinson. Over the course of the first season and definitely by the second, these three characters became the focus of the show. We'll share thoughts and stories about them, as well as the rest of the Jupiter 2 crew. Maybe even Debbie the Bloop!Your Planet 8 crew also talks about the special effects of Lost in Space. While people tend to focus on some of the cornier aspects of the show, it actually had some very cool effects - the scenes of the Jupiter 2 flying over planets look spectacular, for example. And of course, the Robot was great, and you had the chariot as well. We'll reminisce about favorite episodes, what we liked about the show, and what hits us differently as adults as opposed to when we were kids. Oh, and how can we forget the music by John Williams? Yes, that John Williams! Years before Jaws or Star Wars or Raiders of the Lost Ark, Williams scored a 60s TV show. Lost in Space had some pretty terrific themes and incidental music which really set the show apart. For our Sensor Sweep...well, we actually forgot to prepare a Sensor Sweep! Just for fun, we left in our mad scramble to come up with something on the fly. Luckily Bob checked his recent Amazon purchases and found The Lost Adventures of James Bond by Mark Edlitz! This book covers all the films and shows that could have been made -but weren't -for James Bond. It's a must for any Bond fan. With that, we bid you all adieu - let us know your thoughts on Lost in Space. Did you watch it as a kid? What do you remember? Have you watched it lately? Let us know what you think:Twitter: https://twitter.com/Planet8CastFacebook: www.Facebook.com/Planet8PodcastOh, you blithering booby!
1990 saw the introduction of Michael Crichton's book Jurassic Park, a cautionary tale about the awesome power of genetic engineering. The story captured the minds of science fiction fans the world over but it wasn't until the launch of Jurassic Park the movie that the general population understood the true power of what Ingen was doing on that island off of Costa Rica. Genetic engineering is no longer science fiction – it is here and it is going to have an impact on the future. Science Fiction, for the most part, allows the dreamers of a generation to visualize what the future will look like, and then apply the very real consequences of the choices we make as a species to a fictional story. In many ways, science fiction acts as a global cautionary tale, a giant neon sign saying “Danger Will Robinson.” Jamie Metzl has made a career out of blending the unimaginable potential of technology with the very imaginable consequences of that technology. With a masterful hand, he guides us through the cosmic mine field of that technology with a patient approach to unifying humanity through education. As a science fiction and fiction writer, he understands the power of story in explaining the science of emerging tech, and the consequences of that tech if not handled properly. Jaime Metzl is a technology and healthcare futurist, geopolitical expert, novelist, social entrepreneur, and the Founder and Chair of the global social movement OneSharedWorld. In 2019, he was appointed to the World Health Organization expert advisory committee on human genome editing.FREE E-BOOK: The 4 Pillars of Epigenetic Change HEREFollow Complete Human on Instagram & FacebookTo connect with Janna Breslin click HERETo connect with Evan DeMarco click HERERead more on the Complete Human website

This month we remember that eighty years ago in October 1940, in Poland, the Warsaw Ghetto was established. But what is it exactly that we remember, for those of us who do remember? So much can be said about the Warsaw Ghetto, and so much can be learned from what happened there and how it happened. To be sure, the concept of the ghetto didn't get invented by the Nazis to control the Jewish population, but it was simply re-introduced and "put on steroids" so to speak! Holocaust historian and author Raul Hilberg explained that there was a progression in how the world got organized to first control and eventually get rid of its Jews, "Since the fourth century after Christ there have been three anti-Jewish policies: conversion, expulsion and annihilation. The second appeared as an alternative to the first, and the third emerged as an alternative to the second."While the final solution concentrated on the complete eradication of European Jewry, the institutionalization of the ghetto paved the way and helped to organize that step.LISTEN TO THE REST OF THE PODCAST!

#75 – Coach Curl Podcast – The 4 Key Drivers of Motivation – Pt 2DANGER Will Robinons - The Second Key Motivation DriverThis is one of our most primal instincts, we release energy when we are in danger, since the days of working in small community, hunting and gathering and staying away from things that can hurt us, like the old sabre tooth tigers, mammoths and bears. Its been with us since the dawn of time, except for most of us, now the only time we feel in danger is when we have to speak in public. Now I did say most of us as some of us live in dangerous neighbourhoods or serve the cause or country in some form of military. In those situations, danger is always present, we are always on alert. We release energy when we are threatened, when we are in danger. In other words, our motivation knows no bounds. So how can we make this work for us now.Don't forget to share and review. Thanks for tuning in. We appreciate you!Think and Grow Business.
