Writers Chris Dotson (Sagittarius) and Almie Rose (Scorpio) give you a weekly astrology forecast, because we know something about astrology. Not everything. Just something. Updated every Saturday. Music: “Riding The Tundra” via Purple Planet Music.
Astrology forecast for May 25-31Chris and Almie Rose discuss the Gemini New Moon, which will be exact around 8pm pacific time on Monday, May 26th and give listeners suggestions for how to best work with the new moon energy. They also talk about the recent shifts we've experienced with Saturn entering Aries on Saturday, May 24th and Mercury entering Gemini on Sunday, May 25th. Saturn is technically in its “fall” when it's in Aries as it doesn't feel all that comfortable there. Nevertheless, with Saturn in Aries, we might find ourselves building new foundations and new structures in our lives. With Mercury entering its home sign of Gemini, we can expect a noticeable uptick in our communications. Things might come and go quickly as Gemini moves very fast, and we could find ourselves becoming more curious and inquisitive and possibly wanting to learn new things or new skills as well. Chris and Almie Rose also discuss the Sun-Mercury conjunction on Thursday, May 29th that should help with our communications and also give us clarity in any areas of our lives where information has been a bit confusing or muddled. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie Rose why the TV show “Poker Face” might appeal to Scorpios.
Astrology forecast for May 17-24Chris and Almie talk about Saturn returning to the sign of Aries for the first time since 1999. They also discuss what we can expect in the days leading up to this big shift as Saturn makes its way through the 29th degree of Pisces.Chris and Almie wish everyone a very happy Gemini Season. The Sun will enter the sign of the twins on Tuesday, May 20th and it will remain in Gemini until June 20th. While the Sun is in Gemini we can expect our minds to become more inquisitive, more curious. We can also expect things to become more flexible and changeable. And they also go over the Sun-Uranus conjunction that's exact Saturday, May 17th in the sign of Taurus. This conjunction could bring some electricity and heightened energy to the weekend, as well as a surprise or two. We could find ourselves feeling restless and rebellious and wanting to break free from our usual routines. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie what her favorite kind of bagel is, and also challenges her to a trivia game where she needs to guess the names of celebrities who were born when the Sun and Uranus were conjunct.
Astrology forecast for May 9-17Chris and Almie talk about the potentially intense and transformative Scorpio Full Moon, which will be exact around 10am pacific time on Monday, May 12th. Full Moons tend to shine a light on situations and emotions that have been previously hidden, and with this full moon in the probing sign of Scorpio, there could be additional revelations. They also talk about Mercury moving into the slow-and-steady sign of Taurus this Saturday, May 10th. With this transition, our communications over the next couple of weeks could become more focused and thought-out, and less impulsive. And they give listeners the heads up that Venus will be leaving its post-retrograde shadow on Friday, May 16th, and they talk about the dwarf planet Ceres entering the sign of Aries that same day. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie if she's excited for the Scorpio Full Moon, and Chris and Almie play a trivia game where Almie needs to guess the names of famous people who were born with a Taurus Sun and a Scorpio Moon.
Astrology forecast for May 3-10Chris and Almie talk about Pluto turning retrograde on Sunday, May 4th. A Pluto retrograde lasts several months, so we won't be feeling its intensity on a daily basis, but over the course of the next several months we'll be reviewing areas of our lives where power dynamics might be unbalanced, and we might be looking to make some choices that will give us more control. We might be dealing with some forced change as well. Chris and Almie also discuss what to expect this weekend while the moon travels through fiery Leo. They give listeners the heads up that the middle part of the week when the moon is in Virgo might be the best days to tend to practical matters and get our ducks in a row while we have an abundance of earth energy to work with. And later in the week we'll be getting an extra dose of Venus energy- we're already in Taurus Season, and once the moon enters Venus-ruled Libra on Thursday, May 8th, we could be feeling the urge to bring a little extra beauty into our lives. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie if she'll be celebrating the Star Wars-themed holiday May the 4th, and he also asks her for her thoughts on the new Netflix show “The Four Seasons.”
Astrology forecast for April 19-25Chris and Almie talk about the loose Grand Cross being formed by the Sun, Mars, Pluto, and Black Moon Lilith. All of these astrological players will be either squaring or opposing one another this week, and with all of them in fixed signs, we can expect there to be little room for diplomacy or compromise. Expect certain situations to come to a head and although these energies can be challenging, they can also embolden and empower us. They also wish listeners a Happy Taurus Season as the Sun entered the earth sign Taurus on April 19th and will remain in Taurus until May 20th. Over the next month we can expect things to settle down a bit from the breakneck pace Aries Season tends to bring to the table. And they encourage listeners to soak up the dreaminess of the Pisces Moon later this week, and to spread kindness where you can- as this week especially- kindness and thoughtfulness will be very much welcomed. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie for her thoughts about the new seasons of the hit TV shows “Black Mirror” and “The Last of Us.”
Astrology forecast for April 6-12Lots of shifts this week as Mercury will end its retrograde cycle on Monday, April 7th and Venus stations direct on Saturday, April 12th. Chris and Almie talk about what we can expect from the end of the retrogrades. They also discuss the full moon on Saturday, April 12th, which will be in the sign of Libra. The asteroid Chiron is also a part of this full moon which could make things even more sensitive, and we could be addressing past (or current) hurts in relationships. The energy heightens this week as the retrogrades come to an end and perhaps certain situations in our lives come to a head. The full moon will most likely shine a light on the areas that need to be addressed. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie if she's excited for the season finale of “The White Lotus,” and he also challenges her to a trivia game where she needs to guess the names of Aries celebrities.
Astrology forecast for March 23-29Chris and Almie talk about the Solar Eclipse we have coming up on Saturday, March 29th. It's also a new moon in the sign of Aries that could bring a new journey and also ask us in what areas of our lives we can be more autonomous and courageous. They also discuss Black Moon Lilith entering the sign of Scorpio on Wednesday, March 26th. This has the potential for power struggles, people voicing unpopular opinions, and also people standing up for themselves and speaking their deepest truths, regardless of what others might think of them. Chris and Almie also talk about both Venus and Mercury reentering Pisces this week and they touch on Neptune changing signs for the first time in 14 years, which it will do on Sunday, March 30th when it enters the sign of Aries. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie if she's excited for her upcoming Disneyland visit.
Astrology forecast for March 8-15You read that right- this week we have a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in the sign of Virgo, and shortly thereafter, Mercury will turn retrograde to make our communications over the next few weeks more than a little adventurous. Mars has finally moved from the 17th degree of Cancer and is now in the 18th degree of Cancer. It's not much of a shift, but progress is progress and it's definitely a step in the right direction as we could use a more empowered Mars to help offset the Venus Retrograde and the soon-to-be Mercury Retrograde. Chris and Almie discuss the various retrogrades and also let listeners know what they can expect from this Friday's Lunar Eclipse. It's going to be a week! In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris learns that Katharine Hepburn and Audrey Hepburn weren't actually related.
Astrology forecast for February 23-March 1Chris and Almie celebrate the end of Mars Retrograde. Mars has been retrograde since December of last year, and if you've had trouble getting going so far in 2025, trust us- you are not alone. Now that Mars is (slowly) moving forward again, in the coming weeks expect to see forward progress, as well as more focus if you've been feeling scattered for… well, months. These changes will not be immediate, but they're on their way! They also talk about Ceres entering Pisces, this week's Mercury-Saturn conjunction that could have us feeling overly critical on Tuesday, as well as what we can expect from the Pisces New Moon this Thursday. And they give listeners the heads up that while Mars has ended its retrograde cycle, Venus is preparing to turn retrograde on Saturday, March 1st, which could have us reviewing our relationships, how we feel about our appearance, as well as themes around values and money. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie to share her Mars Retrograde experience, and they also play a trivia game where Almie needs to guess the names of famous people who were born with both their sun and their moon in the sign of Pisces.
Astrology forecast for February 16-22Chris and Almie talk about the sun entering Pisces on February 18th, and in doing so we're moving from our heads to our hearts as we leave behind the fast-moving, mental energy of Aquarius Season and will now be navigating life more with our hearts and our intuition over the next month. They also discuss what we can expect during the final week of Mars Retrograde as Mars finally stations direct on Sunday, February 23rd! And they give listeners the heads up that Tuesday and Wednesday of this week could be particularly emotional as we will have many water placements in the sky: Mars in Cancer, Sun and Mercury in Pisces, Moon in Scorpio. So get ready to feel this week, and try to channel those emotions constructively! In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie if she's excited for the new season of “The White Lotus.”
Astrology forecast for February 8-14Chris and Almie discuss the ongoing Mars Retrograde and empathize with anyone who has been having a rough go of it. They let listeners know that there is some light at the end of the tunnel as Mars will turn direct on February 23rd. In the meantime, we can expect an above-average amount of slowdowns, lack of focus, fatigue, and simmering anger (what fun!) Chris and Almie also talk about how this upcoming week has big potential for innovative thinking, new beginnings, positive shakeups, and breaking away from old habits that no longer serve us. The reason for this is the planet of innovation- Uranus- is incredibly active this week. In addition to squaring Mercury and the Sun, Uranus will also play a big role in the upcoming Leo Full Moon on Wednesday, February 12th. This week could be electrifying! In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie who she thinks will win the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Astrology forecast for February 2-8 New episode up now! Chris and Almie talk about Venus entering Aries on Tuesday, February 4th. This will be good for Aries sun signs and fire signs in general. Astrologically speaking we've been short on the fire element this year, and Venus in Aries can bring a new-found enthusiasm and determination to our lives and help us refocus and accomplish our goals. Aries can come off a bit blunt, a bit pushy, maybe a bit too possessive when it's in Aries, as this can be a tricky sign for Venus to travel through. Either way, self-confidence, assertiveness, and courageousness will be especially attractive over the next month and a half. Chris and Almie also discuss Jupiter turning direct on Tuesday, February 4th, which will hopefully bring some ease, humor, optimism, and even some good luck to things as the planet of growth and expansion has been retrograde since October of last year. And they discuss the upcoming week being bookended by some cranky Mars energy. On Monday, February 3rd, Mars will be squaring off with the moon and Chiron. And on Friday, February 7th, Mars will be forming stressful aspects with the Sun and Mercury. If you're looking for diplomacy this week, Wednesday and Thursday might be your best bet. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris plays a trivia game with Almie where she needs to guess the names of celebrities who were born with Venus in Aries.
Astrology forecast for January 26-February 1 Chris and Almie talk about the Lunar New Year, which takes place Wednesday, January 29th with the New Moon in Aquarius. This week could get off to a sluggish start, but after the Lunar New Year begins, we might believe anything is possible! And for Thursday, January 30th, that could very well be the case as the Sun forms an incredibly positive trine with Jupiter, and exuberance and optimism will rule the day. They also discuss Uranus turning direct on Thursday, January 30th, which could bring some shakeups, surprises, or revelations along with it. It could also have us feeling more rebellious and impulsive than usual. Coupled with the Sun-Jupiter trine on Thursday, we can expect a high-energy, enthusiastic day. Chris and Almie also discuss Mercury entering Aquarius on Monday, January 27th and they also talk about Venus entering its shadow on Tuesday, January 28th. Venus will officially turn retrograde on March 1st, and by April 12th, it will backtrack to where it was on January 28th. So pay close attention to relationship and financial dynamics this week (both personal and business) as those themes could come back into play in April. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie how she's liking Season 2 of the Apple TV show “Severance.” They also discuss the sun signs of the Severance cast. (There are a LOT of fire signs on that show!)
Astrology forecast for January 19-25 With the Sun now in the sign of the water bearer, shakeups, surprises, outside the box thinking, innovations, working with new technologies, helping others, as well as a dose of rebelliousness are all in the forecast between now and February 18th. Chris and Almie discuss Aquarius Season and they also touch on the Sun-Pluto conjunction that could have us working with some very heavy themes this Tuesday, January 21st, but hopefully if we are dealing with some intense situations we'll be able to handle them harmoniously. They also give listeners the heads up that Thursday, January 23rd could be an especially exuberant day, full of surprises and shakeups (hopefully good surprises!) as the planet Uranus will be heavily involved and will be disrupting, and hopefully also inspiring us. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie what it feels like to not be sick, and also challenges her to a trivia game where she needs to guess the names of famous Aquarians.
Astrology forecast for January 5-11 Still nursing a cold, (Thanks Mars in retrograde!) Almie returns to this week's episode as she and Chris talk about the outer planets that will be changing signs in 2025: Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. They also discuss the major astrological shifts taking place this week: Mars returning to Cancer, Mercury finally leaving the sign of Sagittarius, and perhaps the biggest shift- the North Node entering Pisces for the next 18 months. This week will most likely bring some changes with it: some of the changes will be welcome, others maybe not so much. Either way, fasten your seat belt and enjoy the ride! In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie for her thoughts about the TV shows “The Resort” and “The Traitors.”
Astrology forecast for December 28-January 3 With Almie nursing a cold, Chris takes the reins and reminds listeners that the planet Mars still has a long way to go in its retrograde cycle so we might be feeling a bit sluggish, things might not be happening as quickly as we'd like them to and there could be all kinds of issues pertaining to patience and anger. Chris also talks about Capricorn Season and he discusses the Capricorn New Moon, which will be exact at 2:27pm pacific time on Monday, December 30th. With all this Capricorn energy in the air we might be feeling ambitious and charged up to get organized and start off the new year with a bang (with or without the help of a retrograde Mars!) And Chris touches on Venus entering Pisces on Thursday, January 2nd. Venus loves being in the sign of Pisces- it's said to be exalted there. On the flip side of Venus energy, Chris also talks about what we could expect from a very gritty, intense Mars-Pluto opposition that takes place on Friday, January 3rd. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris relays Almie's initial thoughts about Season 2 of the Netflix hit “Squid Game.” --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/almie/support
Astrology forecast for December 2-8 There's a lot of conflicting energy this week: some jubilant, some pessimistic. Here at Something About Astrology we encourage listeners to buckle up for the astrological roller coaster we'll all be riding, and try not to let your highs get too high, and try not to let your lows get too low either. Mars will turn retrograde on Friday, December 6th. The last time Mars was retrograde was October 31, 2022 through January 12, 2023. When Mars is retrograde, our actions might not be as coordinated. We might be a bit more irritable than normal. Chris and Almie talk in depth about the Mars Retrograde, and how to best navigate it. They also talk about Neptune turning direct on Saturday, December 7th and how that could bring a revelation or two into your life. It might also give you an energy boost if you've been feeling a bit foggy since, oh… July of this year! And they touch on how Jupiter and Saturn will be making their presence felt this week and they're the two planets that will primarily be creating those highs and lows we're talking about. It should be a memorable week, whatever happens, and hopefully a fun week as well. Just take things slow if you can as the Mars retrograde is going to slow things down and one way or another make us more mindful of our actions. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris plays a trivia game with Almie where she needs to guess the names of famous people who have a Sagittarius Moon. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/almie/support
Astrology forecast for November 24-30 Well, it might not really be all that “special,” but just in time for the holidays, Mercury will be turning retrograde on Monday, November 25th and will remain retrograde until December 15th. During the next few weeks we can expect the usual uptick in delays and communication snafus, but Mercury Retrograde is also a good time to review, reflect, and repair things and breathe new life into stalled projects. Chris and Almie also discuss the New Moon on Saturday, November 30th, which will take place in the sign of Sagittarius and will encourage us to broaden our horizons, take some risks, and maybe take a leap of faith (or at least a small step of faith.) They also talk about Mars slowing down as it prepares to turn retrograde on Friday, December 6th and they talk about the best way to navigate the upcoming Balsamic Moon that takes place over Thanksgiving. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie for her thoughts about the new movie “The Substance,” and if it's the most Scorpio movie she's ever seen. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/almie/support
Astrology forecast for November 10-16 New episode up now! Chris and Almie talk about the full moon in Taurus, which will be exact on Friday, November 15th in the sign of Taurus. This full moon could have us looking at our values and our self-worth. Saturn and Uranus will also be heavily involved in this full moon, which could lead to impulsive decisions, and sudden changes in fortune. They also talk about Venus entering Capricorn on Monday, November 11th, so the planet of beauty and love will be looking fondly on earth signs (Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo) for the next four weeks, and responsibility and accountability in relationships could be a point of emphasis. And they discuss the Sun-Uranus opposition on Saturday, November 16th that will continue the unpredictability set in motion by the full moon on the 15th. The end of this week could bring some real fireworks! In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris plays a trivia game with Almie where she needs to guess the names of famous people who were born with a Scorpio Sun and a Taurus Moon. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/almie/support
Astrology forecast for October 6-12 New episode up now! Chris and Almie talk about Pluto turning direct on Friday, October 11th. Pluto will be making its final push through Capricorn from October 11th through November 19th. When it enters Aquarius on November 19th, it will remain in Aquarius until 2043. With Pluto turning direct this week, we could experience themes dealing with power, transitions, death, and transformations. They predict a very spirited day on Tuesday, October 8th where our energy and optimism could be through the roof while the moon travels through upbeat Sagittarius. They also talk about Jupiter turning retrograde on Wednesday, October 9th and how the planet of growth and expansion will remain retrograde until February of 2025. And they give listeners the heads up that events we're currently experiencing this weekend while Mars is at 17 degrees of Cancer could come up again in February of 2025 when Mars will retrograde back to this exact point. So be mindful of your words and actions both today and in the coming days as these events could be reevaluated and/or re-experienced towards the end of February 2025. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris plays a trivia game with Almie where she needs to guess the names of famous people who were born with a Libra Sun and Mars in Cancer. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/almie/support
Chris and Almie take a look at the charts of the presidential and vice presidential candidates to see which of them might be most impacted by this week's Solar Eclipse. Since the eclipse is happening at 10 degrees Libra, they focus on which candidates have personal planets in the Cardinal signs (Libra, Aries, Cancer, Capricorn) at or around 10 degrees. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/almie/support
Astrology forecast for September 29-October 5 New episode up now! Chris and Almie talk about the upcoming New Moon Solar Eclipse that will be exact at 11:49am pacific time on Wednesday, October 2nd. Chris speculates about whether this eclipse could bring another wrinkle to an already unpredictable presidential race, and which candidate might be most impacted. They also talk about Black Moon Lilith being a part of this eclipse and how that could bring some additional intensity to things and perhaps lead to a secret or two being revealed. Because the eclipse is happening in the sign of Libra, we could see some changes/adjustments in our relationships, partnerships, and our style choices, and we could be looking for ways to bring additional balance and harmony into our lives. And they discuss the Mars-Saturn trine that's exact Sunday, September 29th, the Sun-Mercury conjunction that could have us feeling especially communicative on Monday, and the other major water trine of the week, a Venus-Saturn trine that will be exact on Friday, October 4th. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie about her experience at the Disney California Adventure Halloween event called “Oogie Boogie Bash,” and how her halloween costume was received. Astrology forecast for September 23-29 Chris and Almie talk about Venus entering Scorpio, a sign where it's technically in its detriment and isn't particularly comfortable. Over the next few weeks we can expect some additional intensity around our relationships and perhaps a deeper love too. They discuss the Sun entering Libra, which kicks off Fall. During Libra Season (Sept 22-Oct 22) think about what areas of your life where you could bring some additional beauty and elegance. It's also a good time to work with others and breathe some new life into your wardrobe. Neptune also forms squares with Venus, Mercury, and the Sun over the course of the week, which could have us at times feeling inspired and creative, but at other times drained and confused. And the week ends with a Full Moon in Capricorn on Friday, June 21st. In "Ask a Scorpio," Chris doesn't ask Almie anything because Almie is under the weather and resting, but Chris does talk about the Indian astrologer Kushal Kumar who is known as "New Nostradamus," and he has predicted June 18th and June 29th as potential dates for the outbreak of World War 3(!) - he also predicted WWIII would happen on June 10th, so hopefully he's wrong again :) --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/almie/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/almie/support
Astrology forecast for June 9-15 If by chance you've been feeling a bit blue this weekend, it could be coming from the squares Saturn is forming with the Sun and Venus. The Sun-Saturn square is exact on Sunday, June 9th and could have us being a bit too hard on ourselves and seeing limitations instead of opportunities. The moon entering Leo on Sunday should help offset some of that curmudgeonly Saturn energy. We can expect additional tension this week when Mars squares off with Pluto on Tuesday, June 11th, and we'll have another tense Saturn square on Wednesday, June 12th when Saturn forms a square with Mercury. And with this being the last full week of Gemini Season, we can also expect plenty of activity in the days ahead! In "Ask a Scorpio," Chris plays a trivia game with Almie where she needs to guess the names of famous people who were born when the Sun was squaring Saturn. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/almie/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/almie/support
