Especially since by then the United States had joined Israel to attack Iran on February 28, shortly after the third-quarter waning square of Mars to Uranus on February 27, surprising many. However, by the March 11 third quarter waning square of the Sagittarius Moon to the Pisces Sun, tension grew from asking questions that received no straight or verifiable answers to those focused on the overall strategy & end game for this war.And, as Jupiter stationed direct at 15'05” Cancer on March 12, the energy shifts to where we stand—both personally & collectively—in terms of morals & ethics. Retrograde since last November, Jupiter tasked us to go deep about whether we've been following our heart & souls' true knowledge about what is ethical & moral, or whether we've simply acquiesced to the beliefs of those in power.VENUS IN ARIES, JUPITER DIRECT: MORAL JUSTICE FOR SEX TRAFFICKED RAPE VICTIMSMeanwhile, as more Epstein documents continue to be released, since VE entered war god Mars-ruled Aries on March 6, & as it waxed toward a sextile to PL in AQ March 9/10 there was this from the NYT March 9: “Alexander Brothers Found Guilty of All Counts in Sex-Trafficking Trial The verdict comes more than a month after the trial began in Federal District Court in Manhattan where the jury heard weeks of emotional and often graphic testimony.“Three brothers, including two who were among the country's most prominent real estate brokers, were convicted in Manhattan on Monday of engaging in a yearslong conspiracy to traffic women and girls for sex.“The brothers — Tal and Oren Alexander, who regularly closed multimillion-dollar real estate deals in New York and elsewhere, and Alon Alexander, a security executive — were found guilty on every count they each faced, and could now all face life in prison when they are sentenced on Aug. 6.The verdict comes more than a month after the trial began in Federal District Court in Manhattan, where the jury heard weeks of emotional and often graphic testimony from 11 women who had accused the Alexander brothers of rape or sexual assault. In some cases, the brothers — Tal, 39, and Oren and Alon, twins who are 38 — used drugs to incapacitate their victims before raping them.” We might hope that this is a bellwether for the Epstein scandal & that it's the beginning verdicts that help quench the thirst of those seeking long deprived justice for sexual abuse via international sex trafficking crimes. And that Venus in Aries will ultimately succeed in her her fight to restore the natural order of reverence for feminist anima as sacred.MERCURY RETROGRADE'S BLASTS FROM THE PASTThis podcast also delves into the reemergence of people & events from the past rearing their heads again today. Hmm, speaking of sexual abuse, might this recent verdict be a bellwether for the Epstein case as we learn that FBI is now investigating his sprawling Albuquerque, New Mexico, “Zorro Ranch” property,” which it neglected (or bothered) to search back when. A little Mercury retrograde action again, since the FBI knew about this property a long while back…Next, of course, is the Iran attack redux since both Israel & the U.S. claimed to have obliterated this nation's nuclear capabilities after their attacks back in June of 2025. Oops, maybe not…maybe it's during Mercury's retrograde in Pisces we were able to learn we were lied to, eh? Especially when we remember that Mercury's Hermes is known as “the trickster” in Greek mythology, there's the outdated intelligence used by Defense Department to target what it thought was an Iranian military structure that turned out to be a girls school.U.S. at Fault in Strike on School in Iran, Preliminary Inquiry Says, according to the NYTs on March 11: “Outdated targeting data may have resulted in a mistaken missile strike, according to the ongoing military investigation, which undercuts President Trump's assertion that Iran could be to blame…"...Striking a school full of children is sure to be recorded as one of the most devastating single military errors in recent decades. Iranian officials have said the death toll was at least 175 people, most of them children.” And of course answers  from the U.S. Government to direct questions have been muddled & vague. Since Mercury is related to communication, we also have the reemergence of names like Kari Lake-- remember her? She's the right wing former candidate for Arizona Governor who Donald Trump last year appointed as the head of Voice of America, the international broadcast arm of the U.S. Government.There was this from AP on March 8: “Judge Voids Mass Layoffs at Voice of America…Federal judge rules Trump Administration's action to dismantle Voice of America are illegal. The ruling, which said that Kari Lake's appointment to oversee V.O.A.'s parent agency was invalid, was a major rejection of President Trump's attempts to dismantle the government-funded news group.”WATER, WATER, EVERYWHERE, NOR ANY DROP TO DRINKNext, we have the ongoing fall out of the attacks on Iranian infrastructure which seem to align with the recently begun Saturn/Neptune cycle in Aries. Numerous events, including the attacks on Iranian desalination planets, & Iranian retaliation toward nearby Gulf states have resulted thus far in destroying the ability of millions to access clean drinking water.According to the New York Times “…desalination plants in Iran and Bahrain were struck during the escalating conflict, with Iran accusing the U.S. of hitting a facility on Qeshm Island [the largest island in the Persian Gulf] that supplies water to about 30 villages, while Bahrain blamed an Iranian drone for damaging a plant there. “Analysts warned that attacking desalination infrastructure — a primary source of drinking water for millions in the Gulf — marks a serious escalation that could threaten civilian survival and broaden the war's impact beyond military targets.”Never mind the fact that this war has caused the Iranians to close their side of the Straits of Hormuz (Saturn=boundaries; Neptune=water, Aries=action), through which 20% of the world's oil transits. And that the rest of the world struggles to make up for this shortfall by releasing strategic petroleum preserves to tamp down the rise in oil prices, which may see oil rise to upwards of $200 per barrel, as per some experts estimates.And, of course there's the fact that bombing Iran has resulted in setting back the cause of preventing future damaging climate change for who knows how long, but at least decades, according to experts.PISCES NEW MOON: PLANT SEEDS OF GREATER EMPATHY FOR REAL VICTIMSAs we head toward the March 18 Pisces New Moon, which brings both luminaries together at 28'27” PI at 1:20 pm PT & 4:20 pm ET, they are also waxing toward conjunctions with Neptune at 1'42” Aries & Saturn @3'56”, as they begin to separate from now. This podcast delves into more about this lunation, & how by the time it arrives we'll also have the exact conjunction of wounded healer Chiron to chaos-inducer dwarf planet Eris. And why are we being asked to make adjustments to where we've let society's values about morals & ethics trump those of own soul's higher consciousness?This week's podcast begins with a review of last month's Scorpio New Moon opposite Uranus in Taurus energy during its third quarter waning period, which brought to the surface the need for us to evolve our sense of values to bring them into accordance with the “real” world. The shocking events—particularly those of this past week as this monthly lunar cycle waned—provided stark clarity & greater revelations that in order to evolve (read: survive) we must change our ways of thinking & acting. Or better yet, about how we must review our previous inaction on important topics.That's because we know now how the Mars/Neptune square from December 14 resulted in violence (Mars) based on distorted or fantastical thinking (Neptune.) The proof is evidenced by the horrific shootings December 13 & 14 at Brown University, the terrorist massacre at Sydney's Bondi Beach, Australia, celebration on the first night of Hannukah, & the patricide & matricide murders of Rob & Michele Reiner by a son with mental health issues. It couldn't be clearer that the issues of both gun violence & mental health & addiction—particularly in America—has been too long ignored. And that our society needed these sudden, shockingly horrific events to awaken us to the need for change. This is especially true given that gun violence in schools has gone on so long that two Brown University students had been victims of school shootings before. The secret revealed this past month is that we can no longer ignore these horrific events as a society here in America & do nothing.MARS ENTERED CAPRICORN, SUN SQUARED SATURN=BLOCKAGESSince Mars entered Capricorn December 14/15, depending on your time zone, & the Sun squared Saturn December 16, we've also experienced blockages. President Trump's blockade of sanctioned Venezuelan oil tankers, which in turn led to Venezuelan President Maduro ordering that naval vessels accompany these tankers is just one example.By then we also learned that a terrorist plot planned for New Year's Eve had been thwarted, as “federal authorities announced the arrests of four alleged members of an extremist group who are suspected of planning coordinated bombing attacks on New Year's Eve across Southern California.”We also learned by December 18, that there would be no extension by Congress of the Affordable Care Act (ACE) subsidies before they expire on December 31. House Speaker Mike Johnson effectively blocked that from happening & has ensured that millions will lose their healthcare coverage very, very soon. And, last but not least, there's the release of Trump's chief of staff Susie Wile's interview with Vanity Fair Magazine, which revealed another secret: She is not your typical chief of staff who advises a president & stands firm in their convictions about what's right or wrong. Rather she's an enable who describes Trump as having an “alcoholics personality.” Having grown up with an alcoholic father, Wiles knows one when she sees one. As we're doing this, more numbers—statistics & data—are emerging making us more consciously aware of using our ability to discern what's fact & what's fiction.As always, this podcast looks back before moving forward to better see clearly in hindsight what energies have triggered what might come next. So, as we waxed toward the Sun/Uranus square August 24, Venus entered Leo August 25--& then exact opposed Pluto in Aquarius August 26/27—we've experienced some shocks & surprises.One related to the plan to infiltrate of federal troops into Chicago, others related to firings of top officials at the Federal Reserve Bank, & the Centers for Disease Control (CDC)--& yet another violent school shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota.As we move toward a more “tell it like it is” phase of discernment as part of this Virgo New Moon monthly lunar cycle, we're experiencing also the intensity of emotions around such events. This podcast looks at the factual events that have occurred this past week, including the Venus/Pluto opposition's position in the U.S. Sibly natal chart & its relationship to capitalism as we're still undergoing the U.S. Pluto return's already triggered energies.This podcast discusses the intensity of the backlash by blue state's governor's against President Trump's current power grabs, as well as the VE/PL opposition's repercussions to limit the foundational freedom of governmental agencies & others.We also witnessed the firing by President Trump of the Federal Reserve board member, Lisa Cook, on a “non-proven” claim of mortgage fraud, thus endangering the independence of the U.S. federal bank which its had since its inception.Likewise for Trump's firing of the head of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) now under the control of vaccine denier Health & Human Secretary Robert F. Kennedy's control. More children will now contract & possibly die from Covid, which is currently rising now as we approach the fall, as the CDC, now filled with kooks & non-medically trained sycophants. Measles diagnoses, once thought under control in the U.S., has also been rising slowly but steadily in the recent past too.All of this as we approach the upcoming wounded healer Chiron's conjunction to Eris, the goddess of discord, chaos, & strife by October 9. That these two, both now retrograde in Aries, will conjoin again next year, does not bode well for calm & continuity in the short term as we finish out this year & begin the next one.  Then there's the horrible mass school shooting in Minneapolis, MN, after the Venus/Pluto opposition perfected on August 27 that sparked yet again the call for “thoughts & prayers” for the two children shot to death & the 17 others wounded in the church of the Annunciation Catholic school there. Reality bites, as they say, & when Uranus sextiled Neptune August 28, we received the opportunity to grow in consciousness, assuming we recognized the facts that led to any revelations born out of reliable Virgoan statistics & data. The question becomes: Are people waking up to not only the creeping authoritarianism in this country AND that it's time to FINALLY legislate effective gun control. This sextile notes that the universe can lead us to the waters of consciousness, but it cannot make us drink. Meanwhile, the first quarter monthly lunar square of the Sagittarius Moon to the Virgo Sun August 30/31 reveals the tension between Sadge Moon's urging expansion of our critical thinking skills to “call a spade a spade versus the quest of the Virgo Sun for “perfection.” The latter represents “telling it like it is,” while the former is wishful “pie in the sky.”When Saturn retrograde reenters Pisces September 1, we've the opportunity to review what truly makes us feel secure & to ask ourselves whether we find security only in our material world. Or whether, deep down in our soul, we have the security of knowing that—no matter what happens we can always take care of ourselves & survive.Mercury then enters discerning Virgo on September 2 (until October 6) & promptly squares Uranus in Gemini September 3. Are more sudden announcements coming—perhaps ones that precede or precipitate more communication around movements of federal military troops into our cities. And will that that spark an even more intensely explosive reaction than those from Governor's Pritzger & Newsom of IL & CA, respectively, to date, as Mars in Libra exact squares Jupiter in Cancer on September 4?Keep an eye on the fact that Mars in Libra first squares Jupiter in Cancer exact @ 18'35” on September 4, but then begins to wax into an opposition to Eris at & then Chiron. That happens on September 15 when Mars in Libra opposes Eris at 25'28” Aries, & then Chiron @26'12 Libra to Aries on September 16.That we are in for a longer period of chaos & discord—both born of our previous wounds & potentially causing future wounding—seems clear since the exact Chiron/Eris conjunction in Aries won't occur until October 9.
