Astrology forecast for June 8-14Chris and Almie talk about the tremendous amount of exuberance and enthusiasm (and maybe a little bit of chaos) we'll be experiencing the first part of this week as we ramp up to the Sagittarius Full Moon, which will be exact on Wednesday, June 11th.They also discuss what we can expect while Mercury is at the final degree of Gemini, and how our communications will be impacted when Mercury moves into Cancer on Sunday, June 8th.And they talk about Jupiter moving into Cancer (the sign of its exaltation) on Monday, June 9th, and how Jupiter will be much more comfortable in Cancer than it was in Gemini, and hopefully this will bring a little good luck and good fortune to all of us. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris plays a trivia game with Almie where she needs to guess the names of famous people who were born with a Gemini Sun and a Sagittarius Moon.

As we wax toward the Sagittarius Full Moon on June 11, we first experience the Mercury/Jupiter conjunction in Gemini June 8 which, as its been waxing has broadcast some interesting news about a major break up. Seems the public spat between President Donald Trump & billionaire Elon Musk made its way onto social media & we've been privy to the exaggerated claims & taunts of both men.The pending breakup of this bromance had long been forecast by astrologers, especially since transiting Uranus once again conjoined “off with his head” fixed star Algol circa May 4. This energy began when Mars & Uranus conjoined close to Algol July 15, 2024, & on July 13 an assassin tried to shoot Trump at his political rally in Butler, PA, on July 13. When we combine this Mercury/Jupiter in Gemini spat with the energies of the waxing first quarter “crisis in action” Mars/Uranus square (which perfects on June 15), we see their influence on this sudden, acrimonious, loudly conducted & widely publicized bromance breakup.This podcast explores how both Trump & Musk have Sun/Uranus aspects in their chart, yet neither of them seem to consciously notice their own erratic tendencies. Plus, how Musk's Cancer Sun/Libra Uranus cardinal square makes him futuristically progress-oriented, while Trump's SU/UR conjunction in Gemini seems to be about destroying conventional norms but then adapting by taking us back in time.Their recent public social media argument (it is Gemini season, after all, & this archetypal energy joined with Jupiter in Gemini likes to loudly exaggerate) has become the breakup fight heard ‘round the world. During their back & forth, Musk called for Trump's impeachment, Trump threatened to withhold billions of dollars of Musk's current government contracts, & Musk retaliated by saying his SpaceX company's Dragon Spacecraft would no longer resupply the international space station or ferry astronauts there & back. Their whole argument began when Musk suddenly objected to Trump's “big beautiful bill's” inclusion of the elimination of electric vehicle tax credits which are valuable to Musk's company, Tesla. The bill now sits in the Senate, which has not yet sent its version back to the House. Meanwhile, Trump would lose out on Musk's financial support for Republicans in future election battles, never mind that Musk funded Trump's presidential campaign to the tune of $230 million in 2024. Before long, however, Musk backed down from his last threat & is seeking “a conversation” with Trump, which makes us wonder how long it will be before both money-obsessed characters (& yes, you can be a billionaire & still be obsessed about money, lol) might kiss & make up. And whether or not breaking up is actually hard to do, lol...Thus far, Trump has refused, so whether Trump's natal wounds around partnership, plus his current transits--such as the fact that Uranus in his 10th is now squaring his Leo Ascendant/Aquarius Descendant, denoting sudden changes in partnership—will last, who knows? We also see he's approaching a Mars return as transiting Mars approaches a conjunction to his natal Mars in Leo on his Ascendant—the latter a recipe for having a chip on his shoulder--& has a few other interesting transits & progressions, so tune in to find out more!Meanwhile, Venus is now in Taurus since June 5/6 as Mercury & Jupiter both enter Moon-ruled Cancer on June 8 & 9, respectively, & we wax toward the June 11 Sagittarius Full Moon which forms a mutable square to the transiting nodal axis. Hard on the heels of the recent transit of Jupiter square to the Virgo South Node & Pisces North Node, there will likely be much legal news as a result, especially out of the Supreme Court now that it's term has ended & we know decisions are forthcoming. A couple of things seem certain, too, the first being that our emotional sensitivity—especially around our financial stability or lack thereof (Venus in Taurus)—will be heightened now. Along with this, however, we may begin to expand our intuitive capabilities (Jupiter in Cancer) to see beyond the boundaries of our local scenario into wider, longer-term implications for the future. (Perhaps Musk's 5'53” Cancer Sun will benefit from the pending conjunction by Jupiter between now & July 5, & reunited with Trump—hey, you never know, if not, they both have a lot to lose…)  Meanwhile, by the time we reach this week's Sagittarius Full Moon which occurs at 20'39” of Sagittarius at 12:44 am PT & 3:44 a.m. ET on June 11, we may experience the height of changed perspectives because we now know that we may have been tricked into believing things we were told were in our best interest are actually far from that. As always, this full Moon reflects the light of the Sun back onto itself, revealing its shadow side. So, this particular lunation—in the U.S., at least--has the Sagittarius Moon highlighting the trickster nature of the Gemini's Sun's attempts to bamboozle us through his sleight of hand “if we take from the poor to give to the rich, it's to benefit YOU.” Hence, we are asked at this Sagittarius Full Moon to release our old perceptions—based on the Geminian tendency to collect & pass misinformation, disinformation, propaganda, & conspiracy theories without analyzing any of it. This may prove hard to do, however, since Venus forms a fixed square to Pluto & Mercury squares Neptune still at this lunation—both recipes for financial coercion & obfuscation about, or distortion of, facts. This becomes relevant, in the U.S. at least, to continued attempts by the U.S. Congress to come up with an acceptable budget reconciliation bill which it's trying to do by July 4 to avoid having the U.S. fall off a fiscal cliff. All of this as we approach the exact Leo Mars/Taurus Uranus opening square in its synodic cycle, and the same when Jupiter in Cancer forms an exact first quarter cardinal square to Saturn in Aries, all on June 15. In episode 114 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield take a look post-Oscars at Best Supporting Actress winner Zoe Saldaña and her artist/producer husband, Marcos Perego-Saldaña. Yes, he took HER last name! The two have been married for 12 years and have three sons.    First, we interpret Zoe's chart and see a dramatic and captivating "Lioness" thanks to her bold Leo rising!  Adding her Venus in Leo, we see that a life of glamour, attention, and the spotlight makes her feel deeply loved and appreciated. We also see a curious and dualistic (she's bilingual!) Gemini Sun in the 11th house, which greatly supports her in nailing roles like the best friend or the sci-fi warrior. Her freedom-loving Sagittarius Moon tells us that truth and travel are instinctive and a very necessary part of her lifestyle.   In Marcos' chart we find an artistic, sensitive, and esoteric Pisces stellium. With serious Saturn opposing his Sun, we know that his artistic confidence took awhile to mature and he can still struggle with hesitancy when it comes to self-expression. We also see a deep and private Moon/Pluto opposition that can create emotional ferociousness when provoked or defeated. With Venus in Capricorn we see that once in a relationship he's deeply committed and that social status is important to him.   Together, their synastry tells a story that we weren't expecting for a couple that has been married for twelve years!  First, we see a Sun/Moon square causing tension and unbalance between what is truth and what is fantasy.  This can also create feelings of insecurity and disharmony in the home. We also see an intense Mars/Mars opposition, causing the projection of anger and frustration onto one another. We do find comfort and ease in a generous Jupiter/Venus conjunction which might be responsible for their immediate and larger-than-life attraction to each other, but can it sustain them through tougher aspects like Neptune square the Sun and Saturn square the Moon? And that Uranus direct has led to the revelatory aha moments for which it's known by the time the Leo Full Moon revealed how ideological ideas of “perfection” are difficult to manifest in the real world & that the sudden changes ruled by Uranus can cause trauma.And that unconventional government oversight based on idealistic notions by unelected people placed in positions of power now hold our future security in their hands. Further, the Leo Full Moon's squares to Uranus in Taurus which opposed Juno (partner) in Scorpio resulted in the breaking apart of established partnerships in favor or new ones—especially those deemed more financially rewarding. By now, however, since Mercury entered Pisces on February 14 & the Sun followed on February 18--& as we waxed toward the February 20 third-quarter monthly lunar square (which astrologer Dane Rudhyar called the “crisis in consciousness” period)—we've understood how rapidly caused shock & trauma result in confusion. Further, by the time Sagittarius Moon squared the Pisces Sun & Mercury squared Jupiter February 20, we realized people (Moon=the people) had journeyed to their U.S. national & state Capitols (Sagittarius) to protest. Protest what? That the ”pie in the sky” visions of the ideological fundamentalists begun earlier this month now in charge of the U.S. Government have caused both individuals--and groups of people—actual harm through loss (Pisces Sun.) Now, as we approach next week's Mars station retrograde in Cancer on February 23 & Mars begins to gather speed—in combination with this past month's Aquarian awakening--we begin to realize that this retrograde period brought up from our unconscious what's really most important to us on a deeper soul level. AND that THIS is what's rousing us out of our apathy to fight back against. As we begin to identify with our “inner warrior” we'll experience the Pisces New Moon on February 27 with its waxing square to Jupiter & its pending trines to Mars, which the Sun completes on March 2 & 7, respectively. And the fight (Aries) over governmental finances, jobs, & between existig allies & trading partners (Venus) continues.The opportunity to fight back against Plutonic efforts to disempower people by imposing tariffs against allied trading partners, withholding funds from Americans, laying off government workers, discontinuing funding for charitable efforts, etc., has began to bear fruit, considering that a double-digit number of lawsuits have been filed to date. And word has it there will be more anon…after all, the Jupiter mission, now direct, is expansion, lol... We wait to see if there are any new major shocking announcements of the legal sort between now & February 9's Aquarius Sun/Mercury conjunction,  Mars/Saturn trine, February 10's Mercury/Uranus square, & February 11's Sun/Uranus square, as we head into the February 12's Leo Full Moon.We do know that Trump's been experiencing a square from transiting Saturn in Pisces from his 7th House of partnership to his natal 10th House Gemini Uranus (which conjoins his Gemini North Node & Sun there), likely spurring his need to shock through unconventional pronouncements. Since several judges have stayed his Executive Orders on issues concerning U.S. birthright, stoppage of funding via USAID, lay-offs of federal workers, granting non elected individuals access to the Treasury Department's payment system, and more, to date, we may well have Saturn to thank. Especially since transiting Saturn will go on to exact square his natal Nodes, Sagittarius Moon, & Gemini Sun--all by April 12, we may see more delays or shut downs of these efforts. We shall see...This Leo Full Moon forms a fixed cross as the Leo Moon opposes the Aquarius Sun & both luminaries square Juno in Scorpio (the partner in the sign of joint resources) opposite Uranus (sudden change.) This period will likely shock even more people out of their complacency over Trump's attempts to take a wrecking ball to America's usual civil & legal structures. Some are calling this a coup from the inside, which puts a new slant on Trump's “deep state” propaganda to mean that HE is the “deep state.” *(Well, it wouldn't be the first time that he is what he projects others to be, right?)Meanwhile, we delve into the meaning of the recent shift of the transiting nodal axis into a Virgo South Node & Pisces North Node, & take a look at the health implications (not only for the U.S. but for the world) since the Hygeia's (asteroid goddess of health) conjoined with the dwarf planet Eris, the goddess of chaos & discord on January 9. This as we await whether the February 11 Senate voters confirm that RFK, Jr., will become our next U.S. Secretary of Health & Human Services.This, as wounded healer Chiron in Aries (wound around the previous inability to take action or to be proactive) heads toward its exact conjunction with Eris on May 26. Astrology forecast for December 2-8 There's a lot of conflicting energy this week: some jubilant, some pessimistic. Here at Something About Astrology we encourage listeners to buckle up for the astrological roller coaster we'll all be riding, and try not to let your highs get too high, and try not to let your lows get too low either. Mars will turn retrograde on Friday, December 6th. The last time Mars was retrograde was October 31, 2022 through January 12, 2023. When Mars is retrograde, our actions might not be as coordinated. We might be a bit more irritable than normal. Chris and Almie talk in depth about the Mars Retrograde, and how to best navigate it. They also talk about Neptune turning direct on Saturday, December 7th and how that could bring a revelation or two into your life. It might also give you an energy boost if you've been feeling a bit foggy since, oh… July of this year!
