In episode 124 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield investigate the shock-inducing relationship between multi-Super Bowl-winning football coach, Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Miss Maine runner-up, Jordon Hudson. With a 48-year age gap, the media has fueled all kinds of speculation about this unlikely couple. We're here to see what's really going on! First, we look into Bill's chart and find an extremely fiery, competitive, and self-assertive Sun/Jupiter conjunction in Aries, telling us winning is the only option. Additionally, with Venus and Mercury also in Aries, this puts an intensity and fight in the areas of love and communication for him. But with a square to Venus from Uranus, there is a dose of unconventionality and a great need for space in relationships. Next, we look into Jordon's chart and also find a strong and independent Aries Sun and Venus...she definitely knows how to shine in literal beauty contests! Additionally, an extroverted Leo Moon brings high-spirits but not before a square from Saturn makes her question how much praise she really deserves. Together, their synastry is truly fascinating and squashed our expectations. A Sun/Moon trine immediately brings good-will and supportive feelings towards each other, but it's the aspects to the nodes that shine the brightest. With mutual Uranus' conjunct the North Nodes, these two are absolutely destined to be disruptors in each other's lives. This energy brings unexpected shifts towards a more awakened consciousness and with trine Pluto's, the subconscious trust in each other is their power source. Their romantic life has much to be desired, but perhaps this relationship goes much further beyond that! Listen in to hear this shocking Venus score! Book a Reading with us! Astrology forecast for January 26-February 1 Chris and Almie talk about the Lunar New Year, which takes place Wednesday, January 29th with the New Moon in Aquarius. This week could get off to a sluggish start, but after the Lunar New Year begins, we might believe anything is possible! And for Thursday, January 30th, that could very well be the case as the Sun forms an incredibly positive trine with Jupiter, and exuberance and optimism will rule the day. They also discuss Uranus turning direct on Thursday, January 30th, which could bring some shakeups, surprises, or revelations along with it. It could also have us feeling more rebellious and impulsive than usual. Coupled with the Sun-Jupiter trine on Thursday, we can expect a high-energy, enthusiastic day. Chris and Almie also discuss Mercury entering Aquarius on Monday, January 27th and they also talk about Venus entering its shadow on Tuesday, January 28th. Venus will officially turn retrograde on March 1st, and by April 12th, it will backtrack to where it was on January 28th. So pay close attention to relationship and financial dynamics this week (both personal and business) as those themes could come back into play in April. In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie how she's liking Season 2 of the Apple TV show “Severance.” They also discuss the sun signs of the Severance cast. (There are a LOT of fire signs on that show!)
In episode 93 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield take on the synastry between 90s “It” couple, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. The two first met on the set of the film, "I Know What you Did Last Summer" and started as good friends - then things got serious when they married in 2002. Let's see what makes this 22-year long marriage so strong! We start with Sarah's chart and see an assertive, energetic, fighter thanks to her Aries Sun. With her Sun also making a close conjunction to the south node also in Aries, we note the need to “redo” the energy of this sign in a more responsible way. Combined with an imaginative and other-wordly Pisces Moon, it's no wonder that she rose to fame as Buffy the Vampire Slayer (A supernatural thriller). We also see a Moon/Mercury sextile telling us she takes great care and consideration with her words and relationships. Next, we take on Freddie's chart and immediately see a sensitive and compassionate Pisces Sun...but with a T-square formed with his Gemini Moon and Sagittarius Neptune means his identity and emotions can get lost in the fog. This aspect creates confusion and makes articulating feelings difficult. We also see a few planets in the air element, telling us he has good social skills and also needs a partner to keep up with him intellectually. Together, they have the powerful Sun/Moon conjunction in the sign of intuitive, romantic, Pisces. This brings a deep and unexplainable familiarity and healing energy to the relationship. We also see mutual Sun/Mercury sextiles explaining their long-standing friendship and strong communication skills (perhaps the biggest aspect aiding them in staying together all these years). We loved seeing a strong Sun/Jupiter conjunction too, describing their strong cooperation when it comes to raising their children. On the flip side, we found an aggressive Mars/Moon square and intense Pluto/Venus opposition. With these ego clashes and power struggles, how have they lasted this long? Listen in to find out and hear what Venus score they receive! JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @KARMIC EVOLUTION DOT COM for this week's podcast drops at First, let's remember how the March 10 Pisces New Moon called us to develop compassion—for both ourselves & others. Then the April 8 Aries New Moon solar eclipse, which conjoined wounded healer Chiron, asked us to speak out about past & present wounds so that we may heal them going forward. The April 23 Scorpio Full Moon square to Pluto in Aquarius illustrated that social reform is necessary to accomplish both of these goals, as this square—along with Pluto's May 2 station retrograde--represented groups fighting for future change & equality for all. Whether domestically in state legislatures or on college campuses where students call for international equality, this reality has become pretty obvious, wouldn't you say?And when Venus squared Pluto April 30/May 1 issues around sex & money hit the collective in rapid fire, including: Russia raising its citizens taxes to fund its war on Ukraine, the repeal & enactment of abortion laws in several U.S. states, & an ongoing election fraud trial in NYC centered on paying off a porn star to keep quiet about a sexual liaison to win a presidential election. We also had the news—just as Mercury stationed direct in Aries on April 25—that New York's highest court threw out Harvey Weinstein's 2020 rape conviction because it found the trial judge unfairly allowed testimony against Weinstein based on allegations that weren't part of the case. (Don't worry, he's still in prison based on the rape conviction in his Los Angeles trial.)This makes the message of the May 7 Taurus New Moon--which sextiled Saturn in Pisces—even more important with regard to showing greater respect for feminine divine energies & cycles. Especially as convicted sexual abuser former president Donald Trump continues to stand trial in New York for covering up a sex scandal with a porn star as part of an election fraud scheme. Quite representative of all the Venus energy juxtaposed against Mars in Aries right now in a "he said, she said" kinda way, right?Combined with the Aries True North Node's May 8 conjunction to Hygeia, the goddess asteroid of health, we're called this month to work toward improving our own & the world's health. The Sun's sextile to Saturn May 6/7 set the stage for the opportunity to succeed at a plan that Venus's May 13 sextile to Saturn can commit to for the long-term. But this will require a change in values as the Taurus Sun approaches conjunction to Uranus May 13, & a further commitment to justice as the Sun/Jupiter conjunction takes place May 18.And all of this further requires that we understand the messages sent to us already. That self-compassion leads to compassion for others, speaking out about our own & others' deep wounds leads to future healing, & that the opportunity to commit to lasting peaceful solutions that stand the test of time is what's most important as we move forward.Join us at KARMIC EVOLUTION DOT, or any of your favorite podcast stations, for more details about how the heavens reflect back to us these major messages! Namaste…
In Episode 73 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield nominate Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong'o and Dawson's Creek Actor Joshua Jackson for a synastry reading! While this is a brand-new romance, we thought it would be interesting to take a look at what might have brought these two together. Initially we investigate Lupita's natal chart and find a compassionate, intuitive Pisces Sun and add in a square from Jupiter in Sagittarius, we see this is one highly educated and internationally identified individual! With a charismatic and independent Venus/Mars in asservtive Aries, she needs independence in relationships and is also a great advocate for encouraging women to be fighters and warriors in their own lives. Next, we dissect Joshua's natal chart and find a prominent Sun/Mercury cazimi in Gemini showing us a jokester with a strong need for information and variety! But, with an opposition from Neptune, this might water down his confidence and create feelings of being lost when it comes to his identity. We also find a caring, nurturing Venus in Cancer and a regimented and performative Saturn, Moon, Mars stellium. Comparing their charts, we feel conflicted about this couple. On one hand their trine Mercuries provide excellent communication and a mobility style at the same speed. And a Sun/Jupiter trine allows appreciation of each other's perspectives. But we also see a Jupiter/Moon square denoting the posssibility of an insincere relationship. We also noticed multiple, harsh Pluto aspects that can create jealousy, paranoia and feelings of intrusion. Listen in to this episode to hear what Venus score this couple gets and to discover if they have what it takes to create a lasting, intimate partnership. I will die in a moment like this, And I intend to go with a smile, Knowing that I gave it my all, And went the extra mile. ☉ How about flying that extra mile and joining me LIVE in Bali or Patagonia for some real astrology, yoga, group work, inner work, and MORE? The good news is that both events are filling up and are sure to happen. So you gotta email us and tell us you're coming to save a spot! Check them out: https://bit.ly/kaypacha-events As astrologers, we would be remiss not to consider what is happening in both the collective consciousness and the collective unconscious and the effect this energy has on us all. The amount of stress and tension in our world today can weigh heavy on us, and the uncertainty of the future can leave us feeling anxious, sad, and distraught. Therefore, this Pele Report does not follow my usual sequence of looking at the individual aspects so much as the inner soul challenges that we face during this Scorpio season. I did mention the Sabian symbol for the Sun/Jupiter conjunction that occurred last April 12 (“The Gate to the Garden of all fulfilled desires”). The seeds that were sown at that time are now at the “full Moon” phase and in need of being expressed and made manifest. It is a good image to meditate on! I didn't get to the Sabian symbol for the Mercury/Uranus conjunction at the 21st degree of Taurus on June 5. As Mercury is the lower octave of Uranus, let us understand that this cycle involves downloading, integrating, and expressing our unique genius despite our socio-cultural conditioning. The keynote for that Sabian symbol is “Learning to discern what in your culture and religion is meaningful to you personally.” To me, this is a reminder to not be sucked into the Wetiko (mind virus) that is being perpetrated upon humanity at this time but to break free in our thoughts, words, and actions. Lastly, the third opposition this week between Venus and Neptune has its roots in the conjunction that occurred at the 25th degree of Aquarius last January 24 (can you remember back that far?). Again, Venus is the lower octave of Neptune, so we see that now is a time when our desire to bring unity, love, and compassion (Venus/Neptune) to all our relations, particularly the society we live in (Aquarius), is at the evolutionary gate of externalization. It's time to “give it our all and go the extra mile” by holding the promise of peace, compassion, and love in our hearts! Here is the link to the pdf of the Sabian symbols if you don't have it yet! You need to scroll down and find it. In this episode of So Divine!, Stephanie and Megan explore the celestial landscape for November. They begin by discussing how with Saturn stationing to turn direct during the first week of the month, going slow and focusing on foundations will be quite important. In addition, the combination of Sun/Jupiter and Venus/Neptune Oppositions that week could also have us feeling like we're pulled in two different directions. They talk about the activated Scorpio New Moon, and how with an aspect to Uranus and Mars, looking at doing things in a new way may yield great benefits. They discuss the Gemini Full Moon and how with an alignment between messenger Mercury and dreamy Neptune that very day it's important to open to our imagination and intuition as well as the power of art. Stephanie chooses the tarot card of the month at random--the Moon card. Megan discusses how its compelling presence asks us: "what is real, and what is not?" and shares why digging into your darkness can bring great illumination.

In episode 36 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield ring in Gemini season with not one, but TWO Geminis! The coupling between Oscar winning actress Natalie Portman and ballet dancer and choreographer extraordinaire, Benjamin Millepied definitely got our attention. After first meeting on the set of "Black Swan" in 2009, the pair quickly fell in love and were engaged in 2010 - when they also announced they were expecting their first child! In 2012 they were officially married and have been together ever since. Clearly there is something cosmic happening between them! First, we look at Natalie's chart, which displays a Gemini Sun and Virgo Moon, telling us she is an intelligent, analytical, thoughtful, and grounded woman. However, with Neptune making contact to both planets, we find a watered down, perhaps gentler version of the Gemini archetype. Natalie also has very little fixed sign energy in her chart, so her nomadic and transient lifestyle with her husband makes sense. Next, we dive into Benjamin's natal chart and also encounter a Gemini Sun and Virgo energy through his rising sign, sharing that intellectual curiosity with Natalie, as well as telling us he's a fixer and likes to be of service. Along with a grand fire trine, we can see that the physical expression of his body is highly important! His strong Sun/Jupiter conjunction makes his reach across different continents very broad. Together, their Gemini Suns are conjunct, which means communication flies at lightning speed, but there might be some competition of who gets center stage. Additionally, both have Neptune and Sun oppositions so this can be a mutually confusing relationship. On the other hand, there are multitudes of Mercury aspects (a Gemini couple would have it no other way!) making their communication a core fundamental value. Listen in to hear what Venus score we give these two mercurial celebrities! First up: A New Moon Solar Eclipse, at 29°50' Aries (April 19, 2023, 9:12 PM PDT). This represents the beginning of a shift from eclipses in the Taurus / Scorpio axis into the Aries/Libra axis. [3:19] This is the first eclipse in Aries since a Lunar Eclipse at 4°40' Aries, on September 28th, 2015. The last time we had a Solar Eclipse in Aries was March 29, 2006 at 8°35' Aries. This particular Solar Eclipse is near the same degree as the eclipses on April 19th, 2004 and April 17th, 1996. [4:48] Curious about how this eclipse could affect you on a personal level? Look at the houses and planets in your chart that contain 25° Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn through 4° Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius. [5:38] The chart of this super-duper charged New Moon Solar Eclipse shows a Sun-Jupiter conjunction, with the Sun and Moon in an out-of-sign square to Pluto at 0° Aquarius. [6:22] This New Moon Solar Eclipse initiates a new a Lunar Phase Family cycle. The First Quarter Moon in this Lunar Phase Family is on January 17th, 2024 (27°31' Aries). The Full Moon in this sequence is on October 17th, 2024 (24°35' Aries), and the Last Quarter Phase is exact on July 17th, 2025 (25°40' Aries). Think carefully about the intentions you choose to make at this time while acknowledging the limits of your personal power. [8:20] Void-of-Course Moon Periods (VOC). On April 17th, the Moon in Pisces conjoins Neptune (11:57 AM PDT). It's VOC for about 6 ¼ hours before entering Aries (6:09 PM PDT). Use imagination to discover new ways of doing things, and “go with the flow” during this time. [9:35] On April 19th, the Moon in Aries conjoins the Sun for that Solar Eclipse. The Moon will be VOC for only 18 minutes before it enters Taurus (9:30 PM PDT). Embrace this energetic, pioneering jolt and observe clues as to the next steps to take. [11:02] The Moon in Taurus sextiles Neptune on April 21st (8:41 PM PDT). It's VOC for about 6 ½ hours before entering Gemini on April 22nd (3:11 am PDT). Use the imaginative energy from the earlier Moon-Neptune conjunction in Pisces to create something tangible. [11:56] The Sun enters Taurus on April 20th (1:14 AM PDT). Spend time in nature, pay attention to your senses, buy lovely yet practical goodies for your home. Spa days are encouraged! [14:34] Just a handful of hours after the Sun enters Taurus on April 20th (9:27 AM PDT), it squares Pluto in Aquarius. “...as lovely as we are, as wonderful as we are, we will not last forever.” [17:09] On April 21st (1:35 AM PDT), Mercury turns retrograde at 15°37' Taurus, on the Sabian symbol, 16 Taurus, Old man attempting vainly to reveal the mysteries. It's retrograde until May 14th when it turns direct at 5°50' Taurus. Look at the houses of your chart with 5°50' - 15°37' Taurus to get an idea of how this Mercury retrograde could affect you personally. [20:17] Listener Jackie via SpeakPipe (we love that!) asks about the impact of the upcoming New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Aries. Check out Episode 151 for insights into eclipses aspecting different points in a chart. April's Moonshadow Eclipse Report makes interpreting how eclipses relate to your natal chart super simple! [9:43] The Sabian symbol for the Sun during this Last Quarter Moon is 24 Aries, An open window and a net curtain blowing into a cornucopia. Be on the lookout for new information coming in, especially since there will be a second Aries New Moon, a Solar Eclipse on April 19th. [10:20] This is the Last Quarter Moon in a Lunar Phase Family that began on January 12th, 2021, when the Sun and Moon at 24° Capricorn were in a conjunction with Pluto. In the U.S., the events of January 6th occurred just a week earlier, so expect developments in that story at this time. [11:03] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon Periods. Want to learn more about Void-of-Course Moon Periods?!? Sign up for April's upcoming online presentation to the San Francisco Astrological Society (April 27, 2023) here! [12:02] On April 11th (3:48 AM PDT), the Moon in Sagittarius squares Neptune and will be VOC for about 6 ¾ hours before it enters Capricorn (10:33 AM PDT). It's hard to hit a target in the fog. [13:10] The Moon in Capricorn sextiles Neptune in Pisces on April 13th (7:14 AM PDT) and is VOC for 6 ½ hours before entering Aquarius (1:42 PM PDT). Take off those blinders and be open to nonconformist possibilities. [14:22] On April 15th (8:16 AM PDT), the Moon in Aquarius sextiles the Sun, is VOC for about 7 ¾ hours and will then enter Pisces (3:57 PM PDT). Explore innovative ways to reach those goals from the April 11th Aries Sun/Jupiter conjunction. [15:35] On April 14th (9:38 AM PDT), Venus squares Saturn at 04°03' Gemini and Pisces on Sabian symbols 5 Gemini, A radical magazine and 5 Pisces, A church bazaar. Considerations about relational crossroads can be expected. [17:40] Listener Mariana asks "Almuten, what is it?” Astrologer, Gaye Nelson, describes what it is and how she uses it. [27:37] For more on the Almuten - A couple of sample articles: Almuten as a Guardian Angel or Daimon (Christopher Warnock); Influential Planets (Ryhan Butler). There are countless variations on how to calculate the Almuten. To find the Almuten in your chart using Solar Fire software, open a chart, select Reports in the right-hand menu, then select Tabulations > Almuten Scores. Or, calculate it using the Online Almuten calculator from Astrofox. (You'll need to input your latitude and longitude manually; be sure to enter birthdate in DD/MM/YYYY format, and use military clock for birthtime.) I cannot get these two systems to agree on my own Almuten despite doing my best to match up their settings! But between them, they give the two planets that I consider my strongest influences. This is a much more complicated subject than I'd realized, so this will call for more study and perhaps a followup in a later episode! In episode 27 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield discuss rising Hollywood star and best actor Oscar nominee, Austin Butler and the young and in demand mega-supermodel, Kaia Gerber. First tackling Austin's birth chart, we see it screams ultimate superstar with a vibrant Sun/Jupiter conjunction in Leo, telling us he's destined for a big life (but also a big ego)! With his Mars and Venus in Virgo, we also see that he's got a discerning and critical eye when it comes to his relationships. Next, in Kaia' birth chart, we see an orderly Virgo Sun (themes anyone?) that is part of a rare mutable grand cross alignment -- telling us she's got hefty work to do in this life (particularly in finding home and life balance), and this work is ongoing. Looking at their synastry chart, we see a deep spiritual and soul connection through their Moon and Neptune placements, but we also see, squaring Mars' that tell us they have very different fighting styles. However, positive Uranian aspects show that there might be room for the both of them to grow together while keeping the relationship exciting. Listen now to find out how well they scored on the Venus scale and why this A list couple is one to watch! CONNECT WITH US! Occasionally, Radical Research dares to tackle the big questions: what is time, and can we have a piece of it? Can a psychic saw perform brain surgery? Can a metal album have a samba track and several bars of Miami bass hip-grind? On episode 91, a look into the works of Florida's seminal tech titans, Atheist, we take on these and other pressing matters. Pull up a chair and strap on your trustiest pair of headphones: it's pizza time. Note I: We meant to bring it up in the conversation, but simply overlooked this fascinating, Atheist-related trivia: Atheist's Kelly Shaefer auditioned for Velvet Revolver, the band formed by members of Guns ‘N Roses. He stopped due to carpel tunnel syndrome. This week, Christopher breaks down the three meanings of "hubris", while creating the connection between its use in ancient Greek mythology and the upcoming planetary aspects of Mars square Pluto and Sun square Jupiter. As Pluto prepares to leave Capricorn after more than a decade, we find ourselves battling with an inflated sense of ego (Sun/Jupiter) in relationship to old vs. new (Mars/Pluto), which is bound to lead to transformation. This intense energy, combined with the Sun/Jupiter meet up March 5 can either lull us into believing we can recreate a past long gone OR propel us into building a greater more optimistic future. If it's revenge we seek from past loss, will friends & groups ally with or against us when Venus & Mars enter & meet in Aquarius March 5/6?
