[6:34] Mercury sextiles Jupiter on May 5 (10:21 am PDT) at 22º19' Aries- Gemini, a powerful combination for communication and major announcements. Look for some good news with Jupiter involved, but remember there could be more than meets the eye. Mercury is on the Sabian symbol 23 Aries, A woman in pastel colors carrying a heavy and valuable but veiled load. [9:03] Venus sextiles Pluto on May 6 (2:31 pm PDT) at 3°49' Aries-Aquarius. This is the third and final Venus-Pluto sextile aspect in a recent series, including on Feb. 7 and March 21. In episode 120 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield take on often controversial Alec and Hilaria Baldwin. This couple has the greatest age gap (25 years) that's ever been analyzed on the show! First, we read Hilaria's chart and see a determined and success-seeking Capricorn Sun. With a sextile from Saturn, it's not a suprise that she started a yoga studio franchise while she was still in college - she has a natural apptitude for business! Noticing her intense Mars/Pluto conjunction there is likely a ruthless and extremely powerful side to her as well, while her Aquarius Moon shows a friendly demeanor and need for community. Looking at Alec's chart, we see an assertive and strong-willed Aries Sun with a sextile to Mars, making him extremely direct and passionate about everything he does. We also see both Mars and Venus in Aquarius, telling us he likes his relationships to be built on friendship and to also have a rebellious and slightly detached nature. Although, an intense Venus/Pluto opposition speaks of control and jealousy issues when it comes to relationships. Together their Cardinal Suns square each other, which inidcates ego clashes and fighting for the spotlight. They also have a tight Venus/Mars trine in air signs which gives them huge points when it comes to genuine physical attraction and intellectual chemistry. Adding a sensitive Venus/Moon conjunction reveals deep affection and comfortability with each other. Can their age gap work thanks to the rare Pluto sextile? Listen in to find out! In episode 108 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield take on a couple that has taken the national spotlight after unfortunately losing their home in the Pacific Palisades Fire, former MTV reality show stars of The Hills, Spencer Pratt and wife Heidi Montag (Pratt). The two have been married for over 15 years, so something is working! We start with Spencer's chart and see a hard-working, growth oriented, and sometimes opportunistic Capricorn rising. It's clear that building is the name of his game and with a bold, attention attracting Leo Sun, fame is the vehicle he uses to do it! Then again, we also see a private, resilient Scorpio Moon, and with his house burning to the ground, we are seeing this Moon navigate the loss in real time - he has literally had to rise from the ashes to survive. Next, we look at Heidi's chart and see an innocent Virgo Sun strongly oriented towards perfection - however there's a twist because it gets a square from rebellious Uranus, which can urge her to take things to the extreme...she is known for having ten surgeries in one day! Friendships and community are important to her Aquarius Moon and her deeply intense Venus/Pluto conjunction leans toward serious appearance transformations and dramatic love life. Their synastry shows some equally supportive and challenging aspects. Starting with their "Full Moon aspect" with Spencer's Leo Sun opposing Heidi's Aquarius Moon. This denotes a balance between their outward identities and emotional selves. They also have a loving Venus sextile, and a strong mental connection with Mercury/Uranus connections. However, we also see that Spencer's Neptune makes a square to Heidi's Sun, watering down her individual expression and creating identity confusion. Their Mars/Pluto square can also produce Earth-rattling conflicts. Plus, their Moons are also square...making us very curious to see how they will rebuild a home together knowing they have very different approaches to the domestic side of life! Welcome
In this episode, we're unpacking the astrology of the week of December 1st, starting with a pragmatic yet productive New Moon in Sag on Sunday, squaring Saturn and trine vivacious Mars. It's a climactic week for Mercury Retrograde — the Trickster God stations direct on December 15th, but much of the mayhem is likely to happen THIS week if it's going to. With the Mercury Jupiter Opposition, exact on Wednesday December 4th, our words hold weight this week, and information circulates rapidly (and spreads more widely) — big assumptions can lead to miscommunications, and agreements or promises made are likely to reverse or yield unexpected outcomes (but if we remain flexible, it's a fab transit for socializing.) Mercury AND the Sun also square Saturn from the 4th — 6th, introducing possible delays, disappointing realizations, inconvenient obligations or pessimistic perspectives. Mars turns retrograde on Wednesday until February 24th, intensifying the need to rethink our motivations and drives, and we finish the week with dreamy Neptune stationing direct on Saturday (so this weekend, everything is NOT necessarily as it seems — especially with Mercury also retrograde.) This coincides with a Venus/Pluto conjunction in the first degree of Aquarius, a potent relationship threshold and intensifier, but we have a number of fun transits to offset any Saturnian melancholy or looming Mars/Pluto intensity. On Monday the 2nd, Mercury trine Chiron lends eloquence and sparks a breakthrough healing or moment of clarity (which is developed more fully around the Mercury cazimi on Wednesday) and a fun trine between Venus and Uranus sparks edgy romances and unexpected flirtations this week (along with possible health/financial/style breakthroughs for earth signs.) Plus, Venus sextile Neptune on Wednesday indicates that support IS available to navigate the week's more challenging transits (and WE may garner joy from reaching out and extending empathy.) It's an active, buzzy week in the cosmos, so staying centered (and working WITH these transits, not against them) will be crucial! JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @KARMIC EVOLUTION DOT COM for this week's “Karmic Evolution's Astrologically Speaking” podcast which discusses how the recent September 17 Pisces Full Moon lunar eclipse asks us to release—between now and the October 2 Libra New Moon solar eclipse--criticizing & labeling others as “imperfect.”And how Virgo's shadow side—when our own self-critical nature is unconsciously projected onto others we deem “less than”—can result in inequality, blame, & the kind of harm resulting from stochastic terrorism—unless we can release such shadows as this cycle wanes between now and October 2's Libra New Moon.We look at how the current monthly lunar cycle—begun at the September 2 Virgo New Moon—has progressed with the energy of these Fall 2024 eclipses & their theme of loss and separation. In addition, we explore the deeper meaning of this month's Virgo New Moon lunar cycle as it begins to wane, and how we're asked to jettison now any self-criticism that keeps us from being of service to ourselves in a loving accepting way—flaws and all. It's only when we can accept & come to love our own imperfections that we can feel the same way about others. We then look where these eclipses fall in the chart of current GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump & explore how they trigger his natal T-square responsible for his past successful image building & whether this image is dissolving now.We discuss also whether the two recent assassination attempts—in part related to transiting Uranus in Taurus's squares to Trump's natal Leo Mars on July 13 and September 15—might signify the symbolic dissolution (Pisces) transformation/death/end (read: Pluto) of his political campaign rather than his literal passing. We look also at the Sun's thematic entrance into peace, harmony, and equality related Libra at the September 22 fall equinox, & that day's Venus/Pluto cardinal square accompanied by Venus's entrance into Scorpio. Clearly issues of power, sex, money resources & joint resources (read: other peoples' money), & trust have already made an appearance within the collective. We have the unsuccessful attempt by U.S. GOP House majority speaker Mike Johnson's to pass a governmental funding continuing resolution bill tied to another that demands proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections. Currently, there is no factual proof such legislation is necessary as the federal government requires only a “yes” or “no” on its voter registration form for federal elections & hardly any cases of illegals voting have surfaced through the years.Join us for all this astro news you can use & more, including the September 24 third-quarter monthly lunar square of the Cancer Moon to the Libra Sun, Virgo Mercury's opposition to Pisces Neptune (an echoe of the Sun/NE opposition perfected on September 20), & the messenger god's move into Venus-ruled Libra September 26.See you at KARMIC EVOLUTION DOT COM! JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @KARMIC EVOLUTION DOT COM for this week's “Karmic Evolution's Astrologically Speaking!” podcast which drops today, We discuss all the Astro News You Can Use, including repercussions of the July 11/12 Venus/Pluto opposition & what decisions we're facing now at this first quarter lunar square of the Libra Moon to the Cancer Sun!First it pays to remember that the Gemini New Moon monthly lunar cycle--which spanned from June 5 until July 5--& marked by a Sun/Moon/Venus in Gemini square Saturn in Pisces, asked us to plant seeds related to discussing who or what we truly value. And the June 21 Capricorn Full Moon called us to release any tendencies toward infantile behavior of clinging to the past--purely out of habit—rather than entertaining a more serious point of view. However, since the Cancer New Moon July 5--teamed again with Venus but in mutable T-square to Virgo Juno, the goddess asteroid of partnership opposite Saturn in Pisces—asked us to plant seeds that might allow us to decide whether to break, or stay, with current partnerships. Now, the first quarter monthly lunar square of the Libra Moon to the Cancer Sun July 13 urges us to decide where we stand on this issue. In other words, the challenge now is to decide (and we know that the Libra archetype often can be extremely indecisive) whether to align with the emotional past or look forward more realistically to the future.Since the Libra Moon opposes wounded healer Chiron & Eris (the dwarf planet of chaos, discord, & strife) in Aries, while the Cancer Sun squares them both—forming a cardinal T-square--we may find an awful lot of, well, chaos surrounding our partnership decisions right now.Our challenge is to push through this energy with a realistic eye toward the future. This is especially true since we're headed for Mercury's quincunx to Saturn (mental adjustment to reality), an exact Cancer Sun's cardinal square to Chiron in Aries (the wounded leader?), & the Mars/Uranus exact conjunction at 26-degrees 19-minutes of Taurus--all on July 15!As we already know, Uranus in Taurus for the past six years has taught us that the more we resist change, the more sudden & shocking change will be when it arrives, seemingly out of the blue. And in Taurus, change means in reevaluating what we truly value, i.e., our most precious resources, be they our personal relationships, health, finances, etc., or Mother Earth more generally…The first sign of this comes with Venus's move into Leo & the subsequent Venus/Pluto Rx opposition from Leo to Aquarius July 12.We look as well at the repercussions of Saturn & Neptune retrograde thus far, the fact that the upcoming second Capricorn Full Moon on June 21 will bring the repeat the basic message: To let go of the past and deal more realistically with plans for the future.Along the way, we analyze the charts of President Joe Biden (& that Mars/Uranus/Algol conjunction opposing his natal 12th House Scorpio Sun), & Clarence Thomas who's 1st House Aquarius Moon is currently caught between the Venus/Pluto opposition in his 7th House!Join us @KARMIC EVOLUTION DOT COM for more on the fallout from this “venal” aspect as related through current news, & an exploration of the deeper meaning of Mars/Uranus also conjoining with fixed start Algol. Don't miss this enlightening episode & be sure to tune in live or anytime! Namaste…
Episode 186 In this podcast, New York Times best-selling author and astrologer Chani Nicholas discusses the astrology of the week and what it might mean for us all. The astrology of the week of July 8th, 2024, blends wake-up calls with moments of secure abundance. On Monday, Venus (the planet of beauty) sextiles Uranus (the planet of innovation), inviting us to experiment with new modes of connection and pleasure-seeking. Later, Mercury (the messenger planet) sextiles Jupiter (the planet of bounty), inspiring us to communicate sentiments of optimism and expansiveness. On Wednesday, the Sun trines Saturn (the planet of structure), urging us to ground into the ways we lead and create stability in our lives. On Thursday, Venus trines Neptune (the planet of illusion), beckoning us to escape into what is romantic or delightful. Then, Venus enters Leo, where justice, beauty, and matters of the heart will come under a more dramatic spotlight. Finally, on Friday, Venus opposes Pluto (the planet of underworld journeys), plunging us deep into the relationships that require us to be honest with ourselves and clearing space for a necessary transformation. All in all, this week is an opportunity to confront reality and enjoy the ease that finds us. This episode was recorded on 05/27/2024. JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN WHEN THIS WEEK'S PODCAST DROPS @KARMIC EVOLUTION DOT COM JULY 5 as we say “happy birthday” to America, which turned 248 years old on July 4!Given the current state of the nation, it's time to review both its past and its future—especially within the context of the triggering of our first exact Pluto return, which perfected initially on February 20, 2022 & whose effects are still being felt now. The fact that America is now in a long-term state of transformation is, at this point, undeniable, and the only questions now are how long will this transformational period last & what will be the end result? It seems impossible to deny that the United States of America, a Cancer Sun nation, is having a recurrence of the energies of the late 1770's since transiting Pluto first returned to its natal place on February 20, 2022 & it repercussions are still being felt. To prove this, we need only look at the major Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity issued on July 1--during the waning portion of the previous Gemini New Moon cycle--which essentially anoints a U.S. president a king.Given that this is what the original colonists fought against during the American Revolutionary War—which lasted from 1775-1783—it would seem we've been thrust back in time to relive a similar situation now.Is it possible the current state of chaos & confusion related to the upcoming November 5 U.S. presidential election is the result of an undeniably disastrous June 27 debate performance by President Biden two days before Saturn stationed retrograde on June 29 & less than a week before Neptune's station retrograde July 2? Well, it certainly seems these heavenly retrogrades have thrust this nation back into a crisis of wondering who will lead us through not only current, but future, crises & whether that person is up to the job…We look in this podcast as the prescient writing of NY-based astrologer Michael Lutin, who wrote in the December 2006 issue of Vanity Fair Magazine that as transiting Pluto in Capricorn reconjoined its natal position in the U.S. birth chart that:“The words "patriot" and "treason" will lose their meaning, and in some cases they will become interchangeable. What is treason to one person will be patriotism to another—just as it was back in the 1760s and 70s. The country's mood will become darker and much more conservative. It's not going to be a matter of Democrat or Republican anymore, because the new ideologies will bleed across party lines.”We explore, too, how this July 5 Cancer New Moon--which pits Juno, the asteroid goddess of “the partner” in Virgo against Saturn retrograde in Pisces--poses barriers & boundaries in the realm of partnership. This is echoed as well in the grand cardinal cross formed by both luminaries in opposition to dwarf planet Ceres in authoritative Capricorn. This leaves us at a crossroads as they all square the transiting karmic Libra South Node & Aries North Node at this lunation. If we look at this in the context of Washington, D.C., and the June 27 U.S. presidential debate between Joe Biden & Donald Trump, we can see Juno in Virgo's critical nature against a weak-appearing father (read: authority figure.) As Jungian astrologer Liz Greene puts it in her book “Saturn: A New Look at an Old Devil,” Saturn in Pisces represents, among other things, “a weak father.”Tune in—today or anytime—to KARMIC EVOLUTION DOT COM to learn more about the triggering of America's Pluto return & how we're in the thick of it now. And how criticism of the current president became louder as we approached the Mercury in Leo opposition to Pluto in Aquarius. July 3.We'll look at Venus entering Leo as we head toward July 11 & her opposition to Pluto by July 12, & whether or not there will be increased resistance to funding the campaigns of both sitting President Biden and his opponent Donald Trump. It's already in the ethers right now for Biden as we can clearly see.All this & more astro news you can use—including Venus's square wounded healer Chiron July 5 & 6, trines of the Sun & Venus to Neptune Rx July 10 & 11, and that Venus/Pluto opposition July 12 as we head toward the Cancer New Moon's first quarter square July 13! See you later! Namaste…
Mars bookends this week by first sitting on top of Neptune in Pisces, and then sextiling Pluto. It's giving major anxiety and overwhelm at the start of the week but is fortifying by the end. Romantic Venus forms a square to compulsive Pluto, stirring the pot in relationships and asking you to consider what you will let go of in favor of what you value. It's another intense week in the stars!
JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ KARMIC EVOLUTION DOT COM when a new “Karmic Evolution's Astrologically Speaking!” podcast drops at 11 a.m. PT & 2 p.m. PT April 26 & find out more!Like how the Sun's move into Taurus April 19 & the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction in Taurus April 20 led to expanded knowledge & a rapid change in perspective concerning finances & values. This, combined with reduced frustration as the energy of the recent Mars/Saturn conjunction wanes, led to sudden U.S. Congressional cooperation & passage of funding for Ukraine--without which it's predicted Ukraine would lose the war against its Russian aggressor. We look further at how the April 23 Scorpio Full Moon formed a fixed square to Pluto in Aquarius & how this energy manifests now through widening student protests against U.S. support for Israel its war in Gaza, & the growing backlash by authority figures. (Read: Jupiter/Uranus conjunction, Scorpio Moon & Taurus Sun square Pluto in rebellious Aquarius=expansion of student (Jupiter) protests (Uranus/Aquarius) over U.S. financial backing (Taurus) of Israel's war against Hamas in Gaza (Jupiter as the ruler of higher education, law, foreign places, AND religion.) We explore another theme related to these energies in the form of finances & sexual abuse--as Venus approaches a square to Pluto April 30/May 1--by Spain's decision to hold the Catholic Church financially responsible for 440K victims of such abuse by clergy & others. Meanwhile, the Arizona state house repeals the archaic 1864 law that bans abortions there, & we wait to see if the state senate will follow suit. And then there's the U.S. DoJ's $138M award to female Olympic athletes abused by Larry Nasser, the official Olympic gynecologist at the University of Michigan, already serving tine in prison. Can't get more Venus/Pluto than that as the two approach their exact square April 30/May 1!Join us at KARMIC EVOLUTION DOT COM for more on all this, plus Venus's entrance into Taurus April 29, Mars' move into its own sign of Aries April 30, & the third-quarter monthly lunar square of the Aquarius Moon to the Taurus Sun May 1. (Hint: This asks us to push through current crises in ways that resonate with the mission of this monthly lunar cycle's inception at the April 8 Aries New Moon solar eclipse conjunct wounded healer Chiron by speaking out about our own & other peoples' pain & suffering.) And finally, we take a deeper look at the overall meaning of Pluto's station retrograde in Aquarius on May 2 until October 11. This is where the rubber meets the road in terms of each of us sorting out for ourselves where we stand in terms of morals/integrity, money, & power, & what we can discover from an intense exploration of the meaning of “soul” vs the allures, temptations, & trappings of the outer world…(Hint: Any personal confusion on what this means more specifically for each of us will come clear by watching what happens in the outer world & wider collective during this period!)Don't miss this explanation of how all these astro energies blend together to manifest in the physical world through a look at current events & our role in them! JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN FOR THIS WEEK'S PODCAST @KARMIC EVOLUTION DOT COM We revisit what occurred during Pluto's journey into Capricorn (& retrograde into Sagittarius) between January 26 & November 27, 2008, when he entered the Saturn-ruled sign of foundational security. And then apply this history to Pluto's first dip into ideological group-oriented Aquarius March 23, 2023, & his retrogrades back into Capricorn until he reenters Aquarius November 19, 2024, until 2043…It's when a slow-moving planet like Pluto moves into a new sign that we get the biggest bang. And in November 2008 the world experienced a financial crisis like no other, sparked by the crisis in the U.S. housing market due to knowledge of how hidden predatory lending practices came to the surface & broke the system. Then, it was about the Plutonic transformation of all things Saturn/Capricorn related: business, banking, assets, wealth, both corporate & personal finances, etc., as what became known as the “Global Financial Crisis” is now known as most severe worldwide economic crisis since the Great Depression of 1929.This podcast compares that time with the similarly rocky time now as Pluto has already entered Aquarius March 23, 2023, & continues to retrograde back into Capricorn until he reenters Aquarius November 19, 2024 until he first dips his toe into Pisces in 2043. Only now, it's about transformation to all things fixed air sign Aquarius, including political ideologies & the hardening of such ideologies into different groups. While since 2008 we watched financial foundations crack & subsequent reforms made to the system, now we are watching ideological foundations grow father apart, not only in the U.S. but throughout the world. As Pluto's in its nascent stages of entering Aquarius for the long term, the question becomes: Will history repeat itself &, if so, how? What are the foundational cracks that we've been ignoring that may well widen into another global crisis, but this time one with an Aquarian theme?Join us for this discussion, along with how Pluto's journey into Aquarius now coincides with the already triggered U.S. Pluto return to its position in 1776 at this country's birth, & how the widening set of ideological beliefs between different groups may ultimately play out.We look also at this week's Astro News You Can Use, including the waxing first quarter monthly lunar square of the Taurus Moon to the Aquarius Sun February 16, part of the Aquarius New Moon square Uranus cycle that began February 9 which revealed several shocking surprises via the collective. Changes to our sense of security (& therefore our values) abound as this monthly lunar cycle waxes—find out more about the astrological implications of this by tuning in to this week's podcast! We review also how the March 13/14 Mars/Pluto conjunction in Aquarius manifested, true to form, as violence in places like Kansas City, MO, by February 15. And the upcoming entrance of Venus into Aquarius & the Sun's square to Uranus February 16, the Venus/Pluto conjunction February 17, followed by the Sun's move into empathic Pisces on February 18. In addition, there's the Venus/Mars conjunction February 21/22, & Mercury's move into Pisces February 22/23, as we gear up for the Virgo Full Moon's release on February 24!Join us for all this & more @ KARMIC EVOLUTION DOT COM, starting today! JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @KARMIC EVOLUTION DOT COM FOR THIS WEEK'S PODCAST First we look back at the momentous after-effects of the Mercury/Pluto conjunction in Aquarius from February 5 when Mercury joined the Sun & Pluto in the sign of independence, technology, humanity, & democracy. Mercury, the god of communication had a lot to say about these subjects when he met up with Pluto, god of the underworld who represents death & rebirth, power, sex, & finances in the form of joint resources & other peoples' money. This podcast discusses the astrology behind recent announcements between February 5-8 that carry such themes. For example, word of King Charles III's cancer diagnosis, Donald Trump's appeals court loss of his ability to claim immunity in his federal criminal case--a major milestone in protecting the U.S. democratic legal system from extinction--& U.S. House of Representative's speaker Mike Johnson's miscalculation that group votes would go his way. These are just a few examples of repercussions of the February 5 Mercury/Pluto conjunction--another one being the announcement that at least 32 of the 136 hostages still held by Hamas (or their proxies) in Gaza since October 7 are now dead. (Mercury/Pluto=messages about death. )Also dead now is the effort to impeach President Joe Biden via the release February 8 of the special prosecutor's report that he did no wrong in the classified documents investigation, & a hard “no” from Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu on the latest proposed Israel/Hamas ceasefire for hostages deal. And then, post the ME/PL conjunction & as we waxed toward the potential disruptive energies of the Sun/Uranus square February 8, there's FL Rep Matt Gaetz's introduction of a resolution in the House to kill Trump's liability based on Section 3 or the 14th Amendment. While February 8's Supreme Court arguments centered on Trump's disqualification from the Colorado presidential ballot on the grounds that he participated in insurrection, Section 3 states that Congress can "remove such a disability...by a vote of two-thirds of each House."If successful, which is unlikely, passage of such a resolution by both Houses of Congress would shield all 147 GOP House & Senate members who voted to accept fake electors & thereby obstruct justice on the evening of the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Understanding this with greater clarity might help change some voters' minds as primary season gets seriously underway soon…It's the Aquarius New Moon square Uranus in Taurus that may bring us such revelations (shocking or otherwise) since it follows the Sun/Uranus square from Feb 8 & is followed by a Mercury/Jupiter square February 10, indicating that overlooked details such as this resolution's import may provide the death knell to democracy as we know it.That sloppy thinking may reveal important details is evident in Mike Johnson's declaration that, though he lost the House vote to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas AND on the bipartisan immigration bill that included aid for Ukraine, Israel, & humanitarian assistance for certain regions, including Gaza, he's promised to try again on the former.Meanwhile, we're headed to a new synodic cycle between Mars & Pluto in Aquarius after Mars enters Aquarius February 12/13 & conjoins Pluto on the 13/14. Happy Valentine's Day as this potentially intense, volatile, explosive energy is bound to result in some fireworks--the only question is whether this energy proves positive or negative in nature. Stay tuned, because after that Venus enters Aquarius & Mercury squares Uranus February 16, while there's then a Venus/Pluto conjunction February 17.The one thing we know for sure is that there are some volatile days ahead as Biden begins to criticize Israel's actions in Gaza as "over the top," Tucker Carlson interviews Russia's strongman Vladimir Putin & aids its anti-western propaganda machine, & Donald Trump moves toward a possible federal criminal trial after all...Check out the latest podcast @ KARMIC EVOLUTION DOT COM, & we'll see you then! Namaste…
In this weekly podcast, psychotherapist and astrologer Shawna McGrath shares the astrology of this week and how to make the most of it. This week's astrology for February 12th - 18th involves Mars and Venus moving into Aquarius and immediately making a conjunction with Pluto. This transit continues our process of personal growth, self-development, and healing unconscious material via directly (Mars) engaging with others (Venus) and confronting previously unseen dynamics (Pluto). Also this week, Mercury in Aquarius will square Uranus in Taurus to add an extra layer of awakening to new ideas and possibly reframing a situation anew. This Mercury-Uranus transit coincides with the First Quarter Moon in Taurus on Friday 2/16, that marks an emotional pivot point. Finally, the Sun moves into Pisces on Sunday 2/18 (happy birthday Pisces folks!) to shift our conscious focus from innovation (Aquarius) to states of consciousness and healing (Pisces). Wishing you an easeful week ahead
In episode 61 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield take a page from Vogue magazine and dive into the compatibility and synastry between billionaire Jeff Bezos and his new fiancé, media personality Lauren Sanchez. First, we look into Jeff's birth chart and to no one's surprise, find a prominent stellium in Capricorn, pointing to his disciplined and enduring work ethic making him a natural at running any business. We also see a free and optimistic Sagittarius Moon and a generous and eccentric Venus in Aquarius. So while we know he loves to work hard, he also likes to play and make time for adventures (to space!). Following him, we look into Lauren's chart and spot an equally freedom-loving Sun in Sagittarius (hello running your own helicopter business!). There is some bite in her personality too with that Sun getting a distinct square from Pluto - giving her a sharp edge in her approach to life as well as her overall physical appearance! We do also find a sensual, nature-loving Moon in Taurus giving her some practicality and steadiness. Together, their synastry brings together an at home feeling with a warm and familiar Sun/Moon conjunction. Adding sextile Venus', their love language includes giving each other the space they need while also staying busy and moving at lightning speed. We also encounter a mystifying Venus/Neptune aspect that might speak of delusion and betrayal and a darker Venus/Pluto struggle that usually brings big issues of control and ownership to the table. Listen in to see what Venus score we give this high-flying, climate-change advocating, mega rich couple! In Episode 60 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield decide to switch things up and take a look at an important planetary combination when it comes to relationships! That of joyful, loving Venus and intense, transformative Pluto! When Venus and Pluto fall into any of the five major aspects, they create a very powerful energy that specifically affects the relationships of the individual. Listen in as we take a look at Venus' different aspects in the natal chart: the smoother journeys with the sextile, trine and conjunction plus the rockier meetings in the oppositions and squares. We explore celebrity chart examples through Britney Spears, Queen Elizabeth II, Jada Pinkett Smith, and others, and discuss how these different combos come to life (such as learning about the intensity of partnership, what you want versus what you need, and some strong female empowerment). Plus, we cover what to expect if you have this Venus/Pluto natally and some ways to navigate through it. This episode starts a mini-series on the different planetary aspects we can find ourselves in with Venus, as this exercise proved fruitful and informative when it comes to understanding the partnership planet! On this episode, you'll learn...
In Episode 59 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield look into the newly engaged couple, Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz. The two first met on the set of her debut film, where she directed and he served as her lead actor. Although this couple isn't new, they did give us some surprising pause. First, we investigate Zoe's birth chart and find a Libra Rising giving her a soft, charming, and social impression coupled with an adventurous Sagittarius Sun. But upon further review we encounter a darker and more mysterious Venus/Pluto in Scorpio connection. This explains her more sensual and scantily clad style choices and vibes. Next, we look into Channing's chart and find a bounty of grounded, physical earth energy. With a Taurus sun, there is no wonder he owns his identity through the presentation of his body. And with a confident Mars in Leo his physical performances aren't just for fun, they are a core form of his self-expression. Together, the synastry shows they have fiery placed Mercuries (producing similar passionate communication styles) and a beautiful Sun/Moon trine, which makes for mutual sensual, dependable, and concrete relating styles. However, with no actual Mercury contacts, no Mars/Venus contacts, and a harsh Moon/Uranus square (which can produce high anxiety, chaos and uncomfortability) can the love sustain itself between the two of them? Listen in to hear what surprising Venus score this betrothed couple receives! In episode 43 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield are joined by a special guest and friend, the smart and vibrant up and coming Astrologer, Charlotte Bash! Together, we look at the eccentric (but stable) coupling between Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen. The two recently celebrated 20 years of partnership and have three children. First, we assess Isla's chart and immediately find a prominent grand trine in air. Being an aquarius Sun, she is intelligent, good at problem solving, and mentally decisive with the planet Mars involved. We also encounter a Venus/Pluto square. While all her air can be aloof and create emotional detachment, she may also feel deep and heavy emotions, including obsessions with her love life. Next, we look at Sacha's chart and encounter quite a bit of pleasant Libra energy including his Sun. This stumped us at first, but upon further review we see multiple Uranian identifiers - the planet of rebellion! The wheels clicked and we understood how this shocking, off-the-wall, and very unique character operates! Together, this couple shares exciting, airy Mars and Sun trines, indicating great exchanges of energy and ego compatibility that is quick and electric (perhaps translating to a great physical connection as well!). However, with disjointed and challenging Mercury placements, communication becomes difficult and Isla's un-aspected, sensitive Pisces Moon, made us wonder if they can give each other all that they need. Listen in to hear three professional astrologers break down this partnership and give their Venus scores!

Be sure to tune in each week to find out what's in store for your zodiac sign. Let me know how your week's going? The last few days of 2022 are off to a relatively quiet start, astrologically speaking, ruled by a gentle, serene Pisces Moon. It's not until Thursday, when Mercury turns retrograde in Capricorn, that the energy shifts and becomes slightly more unsettled. We may find ourselves questioning the very things that have brought us stability so far. On New Year's Eve, a bold Aries Moon holds sway - perfect for celebrations. However, the Moon does square both Venus and Pluto, so there could be some tension in relationships of all kinds. 2023 dawns with the Venus-Pluto conjunction becoming exact less than an hour into the New Year, so we can expect a slightly rocky start to the year, with issues of power and consent at play right from the start. When the two planets of Venus and Pluto make any major aspect in the natal chart, we can gain an intimate understanding of how Venus-Pluto natives psychologically relate to other people. By understanding the light and shadow expression of this planetary pair, we become familiar with the archetypal narrative or mythology of how a person is working with and through this energy in their life. Soul-making is that potent and magical intersection of combining the universal meaning of a planetary aspect with the unique soul expression of a human being embodying the particularities of their life's journey. Like the yin-yang symbol, the light and shadow are both interrelated and dependent on one another for their existence, as seen in the transformative journey or story of the dance between any two archetypal qualities, in this case, Venus and Pluto. Each planetary pair is a living archetypal story, and once we know that story, we can understand where we have come from and glean insight into where we are going.
This week: Venus and Pluto prompt a review of last winter's difficult relationship transitions. A very crowded August 11 features an identity-refining Sun/Uranus square, an Aquarius Full Moon with hard aspects but a peaceful message, and Venus entering Leeeooo. The Sun's face-off with Saturn, and Mars trine Pluto, offer business breakthroughs and personal progress. Plus: listener Pat asks if a Mercury-Jupiter opposition in her chart is really an opposition? April, who has that opposition herself, replies in terms both Mercurial/succinct ("yes") and Jupiterian/verbose (in that way she has). [1:08] Venus opposes Pluto on August 8th, marking the halfway point in this yearlong Venus/Pluto cycle. This opposition might shed light on some of the decisions you've made regarding your relationships, with Venus offering a gentler perspective of last winter's Venus/Pluto conjunctions. [3:27] The Sun squares the North Node on August 10, reaching the midpoint between eclipse seasons and urging the release of emotional baggage. It then squares Uranus on August 11th, on the now-familiar Sabian symbol A newly formed continent. Liberate yourself from old ideas about who you are or have to be. [6:40] August 11th is a busy day! Venus enters *Leeeeeeoooooo*, where it celebrates playful pursuits and colorful costumes through September 4th. [7:42] Also on August 11th, Mars makes a sextile to Neptune, with Mars on the Sabian symbol 25 Taurus, A Large Well Kept Public Park - which likes things orderly, at least in public - and Neptune on the Sabian symbol 25 degrees Pisces, The purging of the priesthood. Sincerity triumphs over all; use this conjunction to work towards something that's really meaningful to you. [9:40] It's the Mooooooooon report! The Aquarius Full Moon on (what else?) [13:08] This week's Void-of-Course Moon periods: What to contemplate when the Moon pauses between signs. [19:03] The Sun opposes Saturn on August 14th, marking the halfway point in this year's Sun/Saturn cycle. [20:50] Also on August 14th, there's a nice easy trine between Mars and Pluto, which can bring your ventures to the attention of powerful people. [22:48] This week's listener question is about dissociate/out-of-sign aspects. Can two planets be in opposition aspect if they're not also in opposite signs? This episode is a real-time integration for myself regarding recent events and realizations. The recent Venus/Pluto conjunction brought a lot of things to light and this episode is a part of my integration from those realizations.
