We're back! Tomorrow morning is the long-awaited Mars-Pluto opposition. We've been feeling the build-up to this aspect for many weeks, so if this weekend feels incredibly heavy or charged, give yourself tons of grace and know that the skies are adding significant pressure to the collective psyche. This is a short episode, and I apologize for not managing to post it sooner; it was an unusually busy week for me.This episode focuses primarily on the Mars-Pluto opposition, as well as the upcoming retrograde station of Mars, and how both aspects may color our experiences of the upcoming election and the post-election sociopolitical landscape here in the United States. We will be back next week with a comprehensive November astrology update!Wishing you all as much peace as possible over this weekend and the potentially tumultuous days to come. Sunday is a dramatic day for Mars and Pluto, but there is also a Venus-Jupiter opposition across the Gemini-Sagittarius axis, so for all our mutable sign beloveds out there, take some time to soak in whatever sweetness these two have in store for you amid the Mars-Pluto tension.A reminder that Theresa and I are offering year-ahead readings for 2025. This week's skies are packed with transformative energy, starting with a Scorpio New Moon—a time to shed the old, set intentions, and lean into deep personal growth. Mars will oppose Pluto and temporarily shift into Leo later this week (retrograding soon!). With Mars moving into bold Leo, we're feeling a surge of creative courage and confidence to pursue our passions with flair. Mercury's entrance into Sagittarius encourages big-picture thinking, while Mars opposing Pluto may bring intense emotions to the surface, pushing us to confront what's hidden. Don't miss the Venus-Jupiter opposition, either—it's bringing extra love and expansion, but watch for overindulgence. And as the Sun trines Saturn, it's the perfect moment to make steady plans toward long-term goals.Be sure to check both your sun and rising signs to get the full picture.06:24 Horoscopes for Scorpio10:04 Horoscopes for Sagittarius13:08 Horoscopes for Capricorn17:04 Horoscopes for Aquarius20:48 Horoscopes for Pisces24:23 Horoscopes for Aries28:13 Horoscopes for Taurus31:30 Horoscopes for Gemini35:27 Horoscopes for Cancer39:14 Horoscopes for Leo43:56 Horoscopes for Virgo48:33 Horoscopes for Libra⭐️ Do you have a copy of your chart? In episode 94 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield serve up the synastry between G.O.A.T. tennis player, Serena Williams and Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian. The couple first met in Rome in 2015 and soon married in 2017. This episode took us for a surprisingly exciting ride as we started with Serena's mega libra stellium in the sixth house, showing her incredible work ethic and her perfected tennis skill set when it comes to one-to-one matches. Her Scorpio Venus revealed a deeply passionate approach to relationships and a Mars/Jupiter sextile signified a champion spirit. In Alexis' chart we saw a determined Taurus stellium, denoting personal resources and a heightened sensuality, while his Sagittarrius stellium showed a more bold and spontaneous side to his personality. Then, with a Venus/Jupiter opposition, grand gestures of love are an obvious go-to for him when it comes to relationships. Together, they have some of the most impressive aspects you can find in synastry! It's no surprise that Serena made this statement on their relationship: “Alexis doesn't dim my light,” Williams told Allure about the Reddit founder in January 2019. “He doesn't try to dim my light. He puts me in the light, even if I don't want to be. He pushes me to further points I never thought about.” That apparently wasn't the case in other relationships. She added, “Now I feel like I can shine really bright and still do everything that I want to do.” First, they have an incredible Sun/Moon conjunction, in the sign of Libra, which rules relationships and love! Not sure you can get a better Sun, Moon pairing than that for a marriage! Plus, with two reciprocating Mars/Venus connections, the attraction between them is undeniable. In this episode we were hard pressed to find any troubling snags. This match is truly striking and one for the ages! Listen in to hear what Venus Score we gave this heavily Venusian-themed couple! Astrology forecast for September 14-20 Chris and Almie discuss the upcoming lunar eclipse that will be exact at 7:34pm on Tuesday, September 17th. Eclipses tend to speed things up, so we could see new people or situations either entering our lives, or quickly disappearing from them. Because the eclipse is happening in the sign of Pisces, this could be an especially emotional eclipse, and also an opportunity for healing and forgiveness. They also discuss the Venus-Jupiter trine taking place this weekend, the Sun-Uranus trine on Thursday, September 19th, and they give listeners the heads up that Libra Season is just around the corner, beginning on September 22nd! In "Ask a Scorpio," Chris asks Almie for her thoughts about the TV show “Kevin Can F**k Himself,” starring Annie Murphy of “Schitt's Creek.” --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/almie/support

Astrology forecast for September 8-14 Chris and Almie talk about Mercury reentering its home sign of Virgo. After an extended stay in Leo, with Mercury returning to Virgo on September 9th, we could very well start seeing forward movement on any projects or situations that might have stalled in recent weeks. They also discuss the Sun-Saturn opposition that we're experiencing this weekend and how that can have us reevaluating things and getting serious about our present situation. We might find ourselves being overly critical of ourself or others, so remember to be nice to yourself! And they give listeners the heads up about next weekend's Venus-Jupiter trine that could have us feeling elated, full of love, and ready to party! In "Ask a Scorpio," Chris asks Almie what she thinks about the new season of “Selling Sunset,” as well as the miniseries “The Perfect Couple.” They also play a trivia game where Almie needs to guess the names of famous people who were born when Mars was in Cancer. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/almie/support
In this weekly podcast, depth psychotherapist and astrologer Shawna McGrath shares the astrology of this week from a psychological perspective. This week's astrology of September 9th - 15th brings the opportunity to expand your capacity for growth. Firstly, there is a First Quarter Moon in Sagittarius on Tuesday 9/10 which symbolizes a call to focus or divert your energy to what matters most to you right now. Also this week, the Sun in Virgo will square Jupiter in Gemini which offers potential for becoming more aware of how your belief system informs your actions. Venus in Libra will also aspect Jupiter but in a trine - this aspect reminds you that support is available to you when you look around for it. Finally, Mercury moves into Virgo at the beginning of the week to mark a transition point the ability to move forward with plans that you contemplated in August. Wishing you an easeful and abundant week

The full moon in Sagittarius this Thursday, May 23rd, ushers in a period of accelerated progress; workwise, this is an advantageous time for launches and kickoff meetings. And with a Venus/Jupiter conjunction in Taurus on the same day, the potential for new partnerships is significantly boosted. This upcoming week is one of the most ideal weeks of the month for progress as we have mercury full steam ahead out of its shadow period and are in a waxing, aka calling-in part of the moon cycle until the full moon on Thursday. I don't mind this Pluto retrograde so much or feel that it is setting us back because changes are crystallizing, and we're collectively on the brink of a new psychic journey. It's a time to evaluate and process outdated subconscious baggage on an individual and collective level This is why, for many of us, what seems like old lessons popping back up in new ways are happening in May. www.instagram.com/CardsyB book a reading: www.cardsyb.com

In Episode 65 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield take on the long-standing 17-year relationship between Hollywood legend Matthew McConaughey and his Brazilian wife, Camila Alves. First, we excitedly dive into Matthew's accurately timed birth chart and see a quirky, curious, childlike Gemini rising. Alright, alright, alright with this placement, there is no wonder his voice and storytelling abilities are a strong part of his identity. Then we encounter an even more charming Venus/Jupiter conjunction in Libra making his appeal magnanimous and with all that Virgo energy, we know he keeps his life together! Next, we walk through Camila's birth chart and find a genius and unique Aquarius Sun, which although can be cold, is mitigated by a sensitive and loving Pisces Moon. And with a strong Venus in Capricorn aspected by Pluto and Saturn, she means business when it comes to love. Together, they surprise us at how incredibly well their charts align! With a lovely Sun/Moon trine we see deeply intuitive support. And the crème-de-la-crème mutual Venus/Mars conjunctions which makes us almost stop the entire episode, beacause it's so good! Some hard Sun squares and a tough Saturn placement show a little strife, but this might be the ultimate alignment we've been looking for! Listen in to hear how high this Venus Score goes! In Episode 62 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield take on a brand new couple, “The Bear” actor Jeremy Allen White and Spanish Flamenco singer Rosalia. First, we go over Jeremy's natal chart and notice an Aquarius Sun at the last degree, and without a proper birth time, there is a chance he could be a Pisces Sun! We discuss the differences of these two signs and explore both his logical, rebellious side, and his soft, shy vibe. Regardless of his Sun Sign, he definitely has Saturn and Mercury in Aquarius, and Venus in Pisces. We also encounter a passionate and direct Aries Moon but discuss a confused emotional state resulting from a strong Neptune square. Afterward, we look into Rosalia's chart and see an international identity with a Sagittarius rising and a masterful professional reputation with a Libra Sun conjunct the Midheaven in the tenth house. Plus, with Libra in Mercury there as well, it's no wonder she is known for her beautiful voice. Looking at their charts together, we have mixed feelings about this synastry! Their strong Sun/Saturn trine brings about helpful teacher vibes and mutual Venus/Jupiter connections lend to a broadening of their artistic sides (or an indulgence of their passive sides). The real questions is, can a fiery Aries Moon live harmoniously with a meticulous Virgo Moon? Listen in to hear our take on this interesting Hollywood couple! I just finished an incredible 3-day retreat about relationships, love and tantra yoga. It was beautiful, heart opening and healing on a deep level. This is a great time of the year to address matters of relationships and love with all the Aslesha nakshatra energy so present right now, so I highly recommend exploring this kind of work. One practice we did that you could do yourself this week is the simple yet profound Hawaiian practice of hoʻoponopono, which can be translated as "to make right," "to make good," or “to revise, adjust, amend, or rectify” which is the perfect kind of work to be doing with the transits right now. This can be as simple as choosing someone you would like to make amends with and journaling about how you would communicate these four phrases: "I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you." The person could be anyone in your life, including yourself, or the universe (or god) itself. The important thing is to take the time to feel the truth of each statement. This is even more powerful when done with a partner or someone close to you, but if that's not an option, you can journal about it. We're deep into the Venus Retrograde I've talked a lot about in recent podcasts. People have been asking about what makes this one so intense. Here are some important factors beyond it just being Venus Retrograde: 5 Recent Gandanta Transits: Gandanta means a karmic ‘knot' that is loosened when planets transit from water signs to fire signs, ending a cycle of the four elements. It's a time when you discover where you are ‘all knotted up' and get an opportunity to unbind yourself. This is intensified during retrogrades because a planet goes back and forth over that spot, bringing those issues up multiple times, with greater intensity. Right now, Venus is going back and forth over the gandanta zone between Cancer (water) and Leo (fire). The Sun is here now. Mercury, Moon and Mars also recently went through this transit, so these karmic knots are more intense and effecting nearly all areas of life. Jupiter, Rahu, Saturn aspects on Venus: Jupiter brings expansion and opportunities for major growth in addressing old relationship issues. Rahu brings a passion around relationships that can lead us into addictive patterns, but also to have the resolve to change them. Saturn bring a sense of limitation, containment and boundaries that will not let you avoid these issues. Humility, patience are teachers and Saturn is challenging your to become wiser, more mature and learn important life lessons around relationships. Now let's look at the most significant transits within the next 7 days: Sat, Aug 12 - Mars in Uttara Phalguni in Leo (21 Days) Wed, Aug 16 - New Moon in Aslesha in Cancer (1 Day) Thu, Aug 17 - 4 Planet Stellium in Leo (1 Day) Thu, Aug 17 - Sun in Leo (31 Days) Thu, Aug 17 - Sun in Magha in Leo (13 Days) Fri, Aug 18 - Mars in Virgo (46 Days) Fri, Aug 18 - Mercury in Uttara Phalguni in Leo (10 Days) Free Weekly Horoscopes Free Vedic Birth Chart & Training Follow on Instagram Subscribe on YouTube Schedule a Life Alignment Reading Enroll in Vedic Astrology 101 Leave a Review, get the free Monthly Review process Thanks for listening! The three brightest objects in the night sky line up as night falls. The planets Jupiter and Venus are below the Moon, in that order. Nothing else is anywhere close to their brightness, so you can't miss them. The Moon is the last of the three bodies to set, about 9:30 or 10. We won't see it again until sunset tomorrow. If you just can't wait that long, though, you can see bits of the Moon at more than 40 locations across the United States. Those bits are from the Apollo missions. Astronauts collected almost 850 pounds of lunar samples. Hundreds of scientists around the world have studied the collection of rocks and dirt. Most of the remaining samples are stored in a lab at Johnson Space Center in Houston, where they're still shipped out for study — and probably will be for decades to come. But NASA has sent out many samples for public display. Most of them came from the final three Apollo missions. Most of the display samples are tiny — not more than a few grams. They're on display at NASA visitor centers, presidential libraries, and Smithsonian museums. Others are at state science and history museums, or at big aviation museums. According to NASA, they can be found in 23 states — from Massachusetts to California, Florida to Hawaii, plus Washington, D.C. And if you're outside the U.S., you're not shut out: Lunar samples are on display in almost a dozen other countries. Script by Damond Benningfield Support McDonald Observatory
