Part Two of our wanderings with Iron John/Hans. The episode begins with the moss bed made for the boy in the forest. Ryan shares soulful reflections on moss itself; known as a 'boundary layer' that draws moisture not from the ground up but from the air down. Moss forms little cups to gather water from the electricity in the air, which must be one of the most Aquarian/11th House symbols I've ever heard. We re-enter the story where we left off in part one; the boy is learning to listen in to his inner most knowing. In speaking for the scent of the wild flowers he shows us that his time asleep on the moss transformed his sense of reality. He is becoming ready to work with the gold/wound split in his consciousness.In the second half of the story we encounter much Chironic imagery. A three-legged 'hobblety jig' horse speaks to our current moment as Chiron moves through the last phase of Aries and Saturn/Neptune through the first. What does this story tell us about Aries energy, wounded kings, lost wildness and the world's deep thirst?It's a longer episode than most, but once you listen in you'll see why. To get the most nourishment from this story we needed to move more with Kairos time than Kronos. A protégé of Martin Luther King Jr. and James Bevel during the civil rights movement, he became one of the most prominent civil rights leaders of the late 20th and early 21st centuries,” according to Wikipedia.Then there's the ongoing stalemate in the partial U.S. government shutdown as GOP ideologues continue to block the Democrat's request to make modifications to Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) & Customs & Border Patrol (CBP) agents as they continue to violate due process & the 4th Amendment.   No surprise that the partial government shutdown took place as Saturn (read: resistance) entered Mars-ruled Aries, the archetypal energy of motivation & action. There's this from Thom Hartmann, Feb 17: The American Revolution Started Over This Kind of Abuse: Have We Forgotten? Once the government decides who qualifies for Fourth Amendment protection, rights stop being rights and start being privileges handed out by those in power…”“This fight isn't really about immigration,” Hartmann explains. “It's about whether the Constitution still restrains government power at all. All based on the fact that he's an ideologue who, in combination with his many lies, seems to truly believe he lost the 2020 presidential election due to fraud inherent in the voting process. And then there's his threats now to go to war with Iran. Remember, Saturn represents foundations that allow us to feel secure, while Neptune is water, among other things. In Mars-ruled Aries, with the naval building up near Iran, it's clear that Trump's threats involve invading Iran represent a transgression of such boundaries.Like his illegal bombing of boats in the Caribbean & Pacific oceans suspected (but not proven) to be carrying illegal drugs, & his midnight military invasion of Venezuela & the kidnapping of its leader Nicolas Maduro & his wife, this most recent threat to Iran—likely endorsed by Israel's Netanyahu since the two met recently in Washington, D.C.—seems to be based also on Trump's fixed ideological notion that he is the king, not only of America, but of the world.Pushback has already begun as a War Powers Resolution has been introduced in Congress, stated that only they have the ability to declare & not the president alone. I turned the mic on a few days ago and this episode is a bit of an update. I don't know about you, but recently I haven't been able to think about or process much else except what's happening in the U.S. and beyond.  This episode is me slowly telling you what's been happening behind the scenes recently, as well as over the last few years. We're coming off a Leo full moon that was, let's be honest, kind of a lot. Full moons are always a lot. Full moons in fire signs are always a lot a lot. When the Ground Shifts AgainThis week carries a feeling many of us recognize in our bones: something is moving forward again—but not back to what was.Uranus, the planet of disruption, awakening, and radical change, turns direct in Taurus, marking the final stretch of a seven-year cycle that began in 2018. Since then, what once felt stable—finances, ecological systems, bodily safety, and the promise of “normal”—has been steadily unsettled. Taurus governs the ground beneath our feet, and Uranus has been shaking that ground not to punish, but to awaken.As Uranus moves forward for the last months of its time in Taurus, the message is unmistakable: there is no return to the old stability. In Greek mythology, Chiron was the wisest of the centaurs – creatures who were half human and half horse. He taught other centaurs about medicine, botany, and other sciences. Today, the astronomical Chiron is teaching scientists about the formation and evolution of ring systems. Chiron is one of about a thousand known centaurs – chunks of ice and rock between the orbits of Jupiter and Neptune. It’s one of the larger ones, at an average diameter of about 125 miles. Even so, it’s so far away that it’s tough to study. But it sometimes passes in front of a distant star. Such a passage allows scientists to measure its size. It also allows them to study the space around Chiron. Rings cause the light of the background star to flicker. Observing that effect from different locations, and at different times, provides a profile of the rings. A study last year reported some changes. Scientists already knew of three rings. The new study reported evidence of a fourth ring. It’s so far out that Chiron’s weak gravity might not be able to hold it. The scientists also found a wide disk of dust. The rings and disk might be debris from a small moon, or the result of an outburst from Chiron itself. Chiron is moving closer to the Sun. As it warms up, it could produce more outbursts. So the system could undergo more big changes in the years ahead – teaching us much more about the evolution of rings around the small bodies of the solar system. Script by Damond Benningfield

The realm of the giant outer planets is like a transit station for some smaller bodies. They come from beyond the orbit of Neptune, the solar system’s most remote major planet. And like passengers at a hub airport, their destinations are all over the map. These objects are called centaurs. Like the half-human, half-horses of myth, they’re hybrids – they look like both asteroids and comets. Most of them are quiet chunks of rock and ice, like asteroids. But some have haloes or tails of gas, like comets. Centaurs orbit the Sun between Jupiter and Neptune. And their orbits cross those of at least one of the giant planets. They’re small and far away, so they’re hard to find. Even so, astronomers have discovered about a thousand of them. And there could be as many as a hundred thousand that are at least a kilometer across. Centaurs come from a belt of debris beyond Neptune. They’re nudged inward by Neptune’s gravity. None of them will spend more than a few million years in the realm of the giants, though. Instead, the gravity of the planets will give them a kick. Some will be booted out of the solar system. Others will be pushed into the inner solar system. And others will slam into a planet. The biggest centaur is Chariklo. It’s about 160 miles in diameter, and it has a couple of rings. The New Moon in Capricorn is helping you set some intentions for how to you want to show up in the world right now. With all the chaos it's important to lock in on how you want to take care of yourself so you can continue to show up for yourself, your family, your community. Right now the planets are clustered together moving like cars on a train from late Capricorn to early Aquarius. They're making the same transits to the same outer planets. This energetic bottleneck is forcing us to focus on just 1-2 things. It's a powerful way to "dictate your fate," as the choices and changes you make today will likely have long standing impact. Fortunately, the shift from Capricorn to Aquarius helps us take in the big picture view. Capricorn likes to build and maintain the structures and norms. Aquarius likes to ask if those structures are necessary and how can they be improved? In a way this moment in a microcosm of the 20 year cycle that began in 2020 when Jupiter met Saturn at 0° Aquarius. The most notable of the transits this week are the conjunctions with Pluto.
