We also see an intense Mars/Pluto/Jupiter stellium in Virgo which tells us he is workaholic and might have hard time taking time off to relax.   Meanwhile, in Leslie's chart we find an extremely deep and sensitive Scorpio Sun in the fourth house. This lifetime is an invitation for her to explore the cycle of death and rebirth. Then, looking to her Venus in Capricorn, we see a strategic and tempered approach in seeking relationships. We also see a willful and bold Mars/Moon trine in fire, making her creative and passionate.   Together, they have a beautiful Sun/Moon opposition, lending to a reliable balance of energy. They also have a Sun/Neptune conjunction leading to feelings of romance and heightened compassion. But with square Moons, their domestic life might have its highs and lows. November's beginning has brought some shocking news to the world stage as Pluto is at its last seconds of Capricorn. Slowly but surely all energy moves at different paces affecting our nervous system in various ways. Staying positive is the end game in any mundane matters whether that's love, money, trust, health, etc. Uranus in Taurus is activated with the Full Taurus Moon as it conjunction will bring seismic surprises on the world stage. Scorpio Sun opposing the full moon may also cause flooding. This fixed earth Taurus moon will be stubbornly holding onto the fixedness and outdated things that may be bogging . The retrograde periods for Mars and Mercury are now beginning with the need to review, rewind, restart projects or plans. The slow down will be felt into next year especially with two of the most active and push forwards planets. Back in 1939, transiting Pluto in Cancer in the U.S.'s 8th H opposed not only its natal 2nd H position but also transiting Juno in Capricorn there, the goddess asteroid of “the wife” or partnership. Perfect scenario for pissing off those who may formerly have supported you, eh?We look also at how Trump's continuing misogynist rhetoric, including the Mars opposite Pluto type recent statement that he will protect women “whether they like it or not” will spawn a “hell that no fury like a woman scorned” tsunami at the polls. This is entirely possible, now that Trump's 3rd H progressed Scorpio Moon is less than a degree away from an exact square to his natal 12th House Leo Pluto. The simple definition? “Trouble with women!”Meanwhile, the question becomes whether we've heeded the October 2 Libra New Moon solar eclipse's request to plant seeds that blossom into us all becoming our own best partner before seeking external ones. If so, now the Scorpio New Moon tasks us to reject Libra's indecisiveness & instead to go deep into trusting our own inner truth. What does that mean? Well, the message now at this Scorpio New Moon is to plant seeds that can blossom into a greater sense of self-empowerment. In episode 98 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield venture into Scorpio season with Netflix's "Love is Blind" co-hosts and married couple, Nick and Vanessa Lachey - both Scorpios who share the same birthday! The couple has been married for 12 years, what is holding their bond together? Join us as we explore their natal charts!   We start with Nick, and see that his status seeking Capricorn rising takes life seriously and also lends him a well defined square jaw. With his Scorpio Sun and a Taurus moon, we see that his tendency toward possessiveness and privacy plays an important role in his personality.  Adding a T-Square involving Venus, Pluto, and Saturn, relationships prove to be where he encounters extreme and tumultuous experiences.   Moving onto Vanessa's chart, we find a broody and deep Scorpio Sun that's getting a sharp opposition from Chiron, telling us that her sense of self-worth and identity are extremely important areas of healing in this lifetime. She also has a  heavy Venus/Saturn aspect, which means that relationships prove to be about longevity and hard work for her.    Looking at their synastry, we see that their matching Scorpio Suns show strong ego clashes and power struggles, but also shared depth, brilliance, and intimacy. Astrology is a medium for connecting with others. It's a community practice. It constellates us together while we remember who we are. The root of constellation means "together with the stars" - of course astrology brings us together with the stars! Tears! In this special episode, my collaborator Jonathan Koe and I host a conversation with five beautiful humans who participated in our 2021-22 astrological learning space Charting Your Course. We discussed: What they've learned about themselves, others, and the world around them from learning How applying and questioning ‘knowledge' is as powerful as accruing it, and how it happened within a community of learners. What learning astrology has taught them about cultivating themselves and others in their lives. What trepidations they experienced in terms of learning together and being in a long-term learning container. What they learned about being with yourself and being in community since learning astrology within the community.
