In Episode 126, astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield analyze a listener submission featuring the recently wed couple—singer Demi Lovato and songwriter Jordan “Jutes” Lutes.   First, we explore Demi's chart, which reveals a Leo Sun—fitting for a superstar entertainer strongly identified with her persona. Next, we examine an incredible double Earth trine involving five planets, with the Moon in Taurus at the peak. This configuration grants her a persevering work ethic and a deeply sensual nature. We also see that Moon as part of a grand cross, indicating her work is never truly done—and with a Moon-Pluto contact, processing a difficult past is part of that journey.   Moving on to Jutes' chart, we find a fighting, entrepreneurial Aries Sun. His Venus in Taurus reveals a true lover of beauty, while a Mercury-Mars sextile suggests he's decisive, sharp, and witty.   Together, their charts show shared ambition through a positive Sun-Mars contact, which also brings playful, extroverted energy. A mutual Venus-Moon conjunction indicates deep appreciation, abundant physical affection, and effortless emotional sharing. Combined with a mutual Sun-Mercury trine, their egos and communication styles only amplify each other. That said, a harsh Mars-Moon square means they can quarrel quickly, and a Venus-Saturn square introduces heaviness around careers. Still, there's no question why they got married! This podcast discusses the intensity of astrological events leading up to the third Mars/Pluto opposition April 26 & the Taurus New Moon April 27!We begin by looking back, as that's how we learn best how certain astrological aspects in the sky have manifested within the collective. It's then we can filter this macrocosm of information down into the microcosm of meaning in our own personal lives. So, last week the Sun entered earthy, dependable, stubborn & change resistant Taurus, followed by an empathic Mars/Neptune trine on April 19. This shift became part of American support for the Supreme Court's early morning April 19 ruling that the U.S. must return mistakenly deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia from the hellhole prison in El Salvador. It also awakened in us the knowledge that the government's denial of the constitutional right to due process by paying the El Salvadoran dictator $15M to house such prisoners is coming out of taxpayer money.By April 20's third quarter crisis in consciousness monthly lunar waning fixed square of the Aquarius Moon to the Taurus Sun—which included the Moon's opposition to Mars & conjunction to Pluto, along with the Sun's square to Mars—we knew this was a set up for something potentially alarming to happen. And so it did, as hours later as the Moon perfected its conjunction to Pluto, the lord of the underworld, Pope Francis passed away at the age of 88 during the early hours of April 21. This event, occurring two days before the Taurus Sun's exact square to Pluto, & five days before the third Mars/Pluto opposition on April 26, echoed those of the recent past. This podcast discusses the details of the intense events which took place around the first Mars/Pluto opposition on November 3, 2024, the second on January 3, 2025. And what's been leading up now to this third Mars/Pluto opposition as part of this series of intense, potentially violent aspects in the sky. Meanwhile, as it wanes, we discuss the lasting effects of the Aries New Moon solar eclipse monthly lunar cycle, begun on March 29, at the same time as the heliacal rising of Venus during its retrograde cycle. And how these astro-events portended the fallibility of political leaders—with a specific look the dropping poll numbers of American President Donald Trump, & the misfortunes of unelected billionaire Elon Musk since he strayed from steering the helm of his Tesla company's ship to feed a multitude of life-saving U.S. Governmentally-funded programs "into the woodchipper."We look as well at the recent Venus/Saturn & Saturn/North Node conjunctions in the sky & whether or not we collectively take up the mission of reviewing our true values & making a future commitment to them. For example, do we value the rule of law in a democracy—or not? Do we value foundational facts & commitment in our relationships—or not? These kind of intense questions continue through the exact Mars/Pluto conjunction on April 26, and the Taurus New Moon which forms a frictionally tense T-square to the Mars/Pluto opposition April 27. This sets the tone for the month ahead as we attempt to figure out where we've been disempowered and where we may need to fight for future empowerment. We look at all of this through the lens of the U.S. Sibly birth chart from July 4, 1776--especially since April 19 was the 250th anniversary of the first shots fired in Concord & Lexington, MA, that began the U.S. Revolutionary War on April 19, 1775.  And America's current Pluto return as a time when freedom from tyranny & the message of "no kings" rings out from a growing chorus of average American citizens across the land.By the time Venus moves back into Aries on April 30, Mars becomes her dispositor. That means Venus is once again the warrior &, as the ruler of the Sun in Taurus, we're all more inclined to defend & protect not only our own rights, but to fight for the rights of those who are less able to defend & protect themselves.  By the time Venus conjoins Neptune in Aries May 2, we may well see a greater empathic response from the collective related to a myriad number of issues, the importance of which the collective will have awakened to by then. That's as long as we allow the Taurus Sun to ground us & we don't go off into flights of fantasy about what's really happening around us.Be sure to tune in for all this & more starting Friday, April 25 @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking Especially as we head toward next week's Pluto's station retrograde  & Uranus's conjunction to "off with his head!" fixed star Algol May 4/5, as these astro events are sure to be impactful since all planets are in direct motion until then—See you then! In episode 119 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield visit Royalty and take on the requested 73-year long marriage between Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.    We start with Queen Elizabeth's natal chart and see a hard-worn and hard-earned Capricorn rising. Coupled with a Saturn in Scorpio exact on her Midheaven. Power, duty, and public responsibility was always going to be part of her story. The longest ruling monarch in British history of course had a persevering Taurus Sun, which also described her wealth, opulence, and connection to the physical world and nature. Complete with a regal Leo Moon, royalty was in her blood.    Next, we look at Prince Philip's natal chart and see a charismatic and attention attracting Leo rising, but with the Moon also present, he was more guarded and protective. We also see a cheeky Gemini Sun that lives to lighten the mood but, with an exact square from Saturn, his  service to the Monarchy likely felt heavy.    Their synastry unveils a profound connection: a Moon-Neptune conjunction fostered emotional idealism, while a Mars trine Mars ensured a strong working partnership. Yet, Mercury-Pluto aspects hint at private power struggles and withheld communication. Did these tensions challenge their legendary longevity, or did their Venus-Saturn opposition cement their commitment? Timestamps [1:12] Saturn conjuncts the North Node (April 21, 4:31 am PDT) at 26°50' Pisces, on Sabian symbol 27 Pisces, A Harvest Moon. This is the first conjunction between Saturn and the North Node since September 2013. You might succeed in a way that you have envisioned and hoped for, but sometimes the success comes in a form you never could have imagined. [2:28] Venus conjuncts the North Node (April 23, 9:35 pm PDT) at 26°54' Pisces. This transit can indicate that close friends or partners are helping you achieve success.  [3:00] The Sun squares Pluto (April 23, 10:10 am PDT) at 3º47' Taurus-Aquarius. The Sun's Sabian symbol is 4 Taurus, The rainbow's pot of gold; Pluto is on 4 Aquarius, A Hindu healer. Claim your importance, and let go of anything that you no longer need.  [5:26] Venus conjuncts Saturn (April 24, 5:02 pm PDT) at 27°13' Pisces, on Sabian symbol 28 Pisces, A fertile garden under the Full Moon. This concludes a Venus-Saturn series that began on Jan. 18 and repeated on April 7. Are you any clearer about what you want in relationships and in the way you earn your money?  [7:53] Mars opposes Pluto (April 26, 6:05 pm PDT) at 3º48' Leo-Aquarius. The usual interpretation of Mars with Pluto has to do with power struggles and dealing with forces beyond your control. What matters most in these situations is how you handle powerlessness, anger, and frustration. Mars' Sabian symbol, 4 Leo, is A man formally dressed and a deer with its horns folded. Pluto's Sabian symbol is sometimes written as, A Hindu Yogi demonstrates his healing powers. [10:18] Moon Report! The Taurus New Moon is on April 27 (12:31 pm PDT), at 7º46' Taurus. The Moon is exalted in the sign of Taurus, so this is one of the most powerful New Moons of the year. But the Mars-Pluto opposition makes this a little more of a tumultuous New Moon. Taurus is ruled by Venus, so enjoy the sensual aspects of life. The Sabian symbol for this New Moon degree is 8 Taurus, A sleigh without snow. [13:29] This New Moon begins a lunar phase family cycle (LPFC) that unfolds over the next three years. Make a careful note of what your intentions are, what you would like to achieve in your physical health, financial abundance, and sense of security. Jan. 25, 2026 is the First Quarter Moon (first action point) of this LPFC, the Full Moon (awareness point) is on Oct. 25, 2026, the Last Quarter Moon (final action point) is on July 26, 2027. [15:34] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. On April 22 (2:55 pm PDT), the Moon in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus. It's VOC for 7 hours 12 minutes, then enters Pisces (10:07 pm PDT). Step out of your safety zone to do things on your own. [16:40] On April 24 (7:57 pm PDT), the Moon in Pisces conjoins Venus. It's VOC for 4 hours 27 minutes, then enters Aries on April 25 (12:24 am PDT). Enjoy all of the Venusian things life has to offer, but don't go overboard. [18:11] On April 26 (9:18 am PDT), the Moon in Aries sextiles Jupiter. The Moon is VOC for 14 hours 59 minutes (!!!), then enters Taurus on April 27 (12:17 am PDT). This week's astrology deepens some themes we've been experiencing over the last week and month. The astrology symbolizes a process where we continue to encounter shadow (unconscious parts) of ourselves. This is a process of allowing more of yourself to come forward. This process is a rebirth - possibility involving labor pains, relief, existential contemplation, and release into the unknown of a new beginning . This week's astrology includes:- Sun-Mars-Pluto t-square: Further clarifying and amplifying patterns of power, autonomy to act, control, deep healing that can unfold via conscious awareness of these issues- Sun in Taurus square Pluto in Aquarius: Restructuring ego, identity, and relationship to what masculinity means to you, composting what may be false identity- Mars in Leo opposite Pluto in Aquarius: Empowering your righteous rage, exposing new parts of self that are connected to your enthusiasm for life, and your boundaries- New Moon in Taurus on Sunday, April 27 at 12:31pm PT: Planting new seeds in your psyche around what you need/want to live, grow, exist with security and stability . . . something new is pushing thru the soil- Venus conjunct Saturn & North Node in Pisces: Considering relational agreements, boundaries, and non-negotiable qualities in relationship. Also contemplating your values and how you connect with beauty, love, and pleasure in your life. North Node brings an open portal of possibilities.- Venus-Saturn in Pisces trine Juno in Scorpio: Opportunities for assistance and protection when you assume an internal experience of your worthiness.- Pallas Athena in Aquarius trine Jupiter in Gemini: Opportunities for strategic thinking that leads to hope, optimism, or more options.Wishing you a week of ease, security, and safety

Welcome back, Star Lovelies! This week's star forecast focuses on navigating complex energies, releasing pressure, and stepping into purposeful alignment. The third week of April brings both challenges and opportunities as Mars opposes Pluto for the final week after six months of opposition, urging us all to see things clearly, release steam, and prepare for a powerful New Moon.Key Takeaways From This Week's Cosmic Forecast Navigating Pressure and Complicated EnergiesThis week is all about precision, alignment, and handling the microscope effect—where everything you say, feel, or do may feel scrutinized. Big cosmic shifts are in play as Mars opposes Pluto for the last time during this cycle, intensifying the feeling of being under pressure. There's also a significant Sun influence and a Venus-Saturn connection that stirs feelings of isolation and uncertainty, especially around love and finances.Powerful Quotes"It would be infinitely better to release the pressure in this pressure cooker than taking it out on other people.""You are a leader, so we don't want to put more pressure on you because that's exactly what you don't need. However, being a leader is something that you've already said yes to."Key Questions Answered1. What astrological events are impacting us this week?(00:27) This week features the final Mars-Pluto opposition—a process that began in early November—amplifying intensity and urging precise alignment in our actions. Additional influences from the Sun and a Venus-Saturn meeting on the 25th contribute to feelings of isolation, financial uncertainty, and general vulnerability, but also present an opportunity for growth as clarity returns and momentum builds with the upcoming New Moon.2. How can I productively manage challenging emotions during this intense period?(01:35) Kim recommends finding constructive ways to let off steam, whether through physical activities like axe-throwing, taking meditative breaks, or simply taking time out when emotions run high. Acknowledging your feelings and allowing yourself gentle space for release helps prevent energy from becoming volatile or damaging relationships.3. What should I focus on to align with this week's energy and make the most of it?(02:07) The focus should be on gaining clarity, self-visibility, and embracing leadership. Use mantras to affirm the upward momentum, meditate for intuitive guidance, and recognize that despite complications, the cosmic tide is turning in your favor. Prepare yourself to harness the new moon's energy for setting transformative intentions for love, money, and personal growth.Connect and Grow with Us Thank you for tuning in to Your Star Path to Success! In episode 115 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield explore the long-running mysterious relationship between actor/writers Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak. Rumors have swirled for years about these two who officially dated in the early 2000's but have remained incredibly close and are often seen together at major Hollywood events.    First, we look at  B.J.'s chart and see a prominent, boundary-pushing Aries rising. With his chart ruler, Mars in Gemini, placed in his third house, it's obvious that his pursuit of writing and comedy is central to his life's motivation.  We also find a Mercury/Sun conjunction in his fifth house, telling us his books, and especially his children's book, will be part of his legacy. There is also a deeply private and distrusting Scorpio Moon in his chart, so we can understand why he isn't a huge fan of the spotlight despite his heavy Leo placements.   Next, we look into Mindy's chart and see a bright and inquisitive Gemini Rising, making her perfect for identifying as a comedic writer. With Venus sitting on that ascendant, her experiences with femininity and womanhood also play a central role in her storytelling. We also see a challenging opposition to that Venus from Neptune, which creates a love life that can be confusing, and lacking strong boundaries. It also creates a sense of hopeless romanticism.    Together, their synastry reveals aspects that align for a loving relationship. They have trine water Moons (little did they know they grew up only 10 minutes from each other!), giving them a shared sense of support, ease, and comfortability especially when it comes to sharing emotional experiences.  A Mercury/Jupiter connection in theatrical Leo demonstrates their shared love of intellectual exploration, but a Venus/Saturn square denotes some sort of withholding. The big question though is will a strong Venus/Neptune opposition ever provide enough clarity to define this relationship for them?  Listen in to hear our take and see what Venus score this nebulous relationship receives!   Book a Reading with us! In episode 98 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield venture into Scorpio season with Netflix's "Love is Blind" co-hosts and married couple, Nick and Vanessa Lachey - both Scorpios who share the same birthday! The couple has been married for 12 years, what is holding their bond together? Join us as we explore their natal charts!   We start with Nick, and see that his status seeking Capricorn rising takes life seriously and also lends him a well defined square jaw. With his Scorpio Sun and a Taurus moon, we see that his tendency toward possessiveness and privacy plays an important role in his personality.  Adding a T-Square involving Venus, Pluto, and Saturn, relationships prove to be where he encounters extreme and tumultuous experiences.   Moving onto Vanessa's chart, we find a broody and deep Scorpio Sun that's getting a sharp opposition from Chiron, telling us that her sense of self-worth and identity are extremely important areas of healing in this lifetime. She also has a  heavy Venus/Saturn aspect, which means that relationships prove to be about longevity and hard work for her.    Looking at their synastry, we see that their matching Scorpio Suns show strong ego clashes and power struggles, but also shared depth, brilliance, and intimacy. With a Scorpio Sun/Taurus Moon opposition, these clashes most certainly involve finances and shared resources. On the positive side, we see a Jupiter trine that creates powerful levity in social circles and makes them adventurous travel buddies. But, their mutual Venus/Saturn squares can make this relationship feel like a restrictive burden.   How did we score this super Scorpio couple on the Venus scale? Astrology forecast for September 29-October 5 New episode up now! Chris and Almie talk about the upcoming New Moon Solar Eclipse that will be exact at 11:49am pacific time on Wednesday, October 2nd. Chris speculates about whether this eclipse could bring another wrinkle to an already unpredictable presidential race, and which candidate might be most impacted. They also talk about Black Moon Lilith being a part of this eclipse and how that could bring some additional intensity to things and perhaps lead to a secret or two being revealed.  Because the eclipse is happening in the sign of Libra, we could see some changes/adjustments in our relationships, partnerships, and our style choices, and we could be looking for ways to bring additional balance and harmony into our lives.  And they discuss the Mars-Saturn trine that's exact Sunday, September 29th, the Sun-Mercury conjunction that could have us feeling especially communicative on Monday, and the other major water trine of the week, a Venus-Saturn trine that will be exact on Friday, October 4th.  In “Ask a Scorpio,” Chris asks Almie about her experience at the Disney California Adventure Halloween event called “Oogie Boogie Bash,” and how her halloween costume was received. Weekly Astrology Forecast Podcast

In this weekly podcast, depth psychotherapist and astrologer Shawna McGrath shares the astrology of this week from a psychological perspective. This week's astrology of March 18th - 24th the Sun moves into Aries with the North Node to symbolize opening our conscious awareness to our inner sense of vitality, ego strength, and healing through growth and a sense of purpose. Also this week, Venus in Pisces will conjunct Saturn in Pisces to invoke themes around our experiences of commitment, devotion, the structure of our relationships, agreements, boundaries, and breaking the spell of illusions we may have been carrying. Then, Mars moves into Pisces on Friday, March 22nd which signals the exploration of the fluctuating nature of boundaries. This transit in particular symbolizes a drive toward helping, healing, compassion, and fighting for humanitarian issues. Finally, it's important to note that next week is the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Libra on Monday, March 25th. This eclipse symbolizes a culmination of change around our psychological healing (Pisces) and our experiences of self vs. relationships (Aries-Libra). Wishing you an easeful week ahead

How can I find the network of people who will help me accomplish this goal?” Take note that this lunation falls very close to Pluto (28°20' Capricorn). [12:36] This lunation also begins a two-and-a-half-year Lunar Phase Family Cycle. The First Quarter Moon of this cycle is on Oct. 21, 2023 (28°28' Capricorn); the Full Moon is on July 21, 2024 (29°08' Capricorn); the Last Quarter Moon is on April 20, 2025 (1°12' Aquarius). [15:15] Void-of-Course Moon periods (VOC). On Jan. 17, the Moon at 28°11' Scorpio makes a sextile aspect to Pluto at 6:27 AM PST. It is VOC for about three hours before entering Sagittarius at 9:33 AM PST. Consider any toxic emotions that need to be dispelled. [16:31] The Moon at 24°23' Sagittarius sextiles Saturn on Jan. 19 at 2:09 AM PST. It's VOC for about nine hours before it enters Capricorn at 11:11 AM PST. Which of the many Sagittarian arrows in your quiver are you ready to use? [17:34] On Jan. 21 at 7:52 AM PST, the Moon conjoins Pluto at 28°19' Capricorn, then is VOC for a little over two and a half hours before it enters Aquarius at 10:29 AM PST. Monthly accomplishments are up for review. Show some compassion for marks that were missed. [19:10] Venus conjoins Saturn at 24°47' Aquarius on Jan. 22 at 2:13 PM PST. Tiny House Harry and Frugal Freddy meet for 2-for-1 Sunday brunch at Discount Bagels R Us – and love it! [21:53] Uranus stations direct at 14°56' Taurus on Jan. 22 (2:58 PM PST). Uranus has been retrograde since Aug. 24, 2022. Uranus is in a wide square to that Venus / Saturn conjunction as it stations direct – will you stay or will you go? Look to the house of your chart that contains 14°56' Taurus and any planets in your chart within 9°-19° of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius. Be on the lookout for sudden shakeups to arise in those areas of your life. [23:33] Listener Elliott asks about how to look on the bright side of your birth chart! April's ever-optimistic Sagittarius Ascendant and 9th house planets reply cheerfully. Hosted by Chris Beckett & Shane Ludtke, two amateur astronomers in Saskatchewan. actualastronomy@gmail.com   In this episode we'll talk about the Moon pairing up with Venus & Saturn then Jupiter and it gets so close to to Mars and Uranus it passes over them for some lucky observers. Just not Shane and I. Oh and just to let those listening on the 365 Days of Astronomy you can catch all 8 Actual Astronomy Podcasts by subscribing in Apple Podcasts, Spotify or any podcatching app.   January 8th - Pallas at opposition: When discovered by the German astronomer Heinrich Wilhelm Matthäus Olbers on 28 March 1802, Pallas was considered to be a planet but in actuality turned out to be the second asteroid to have been discovered, after Ceres. Pallas is the 3rd largest asteroid and has a mineral composition similar to carbonaceous chondrite meteorites, like Ceres. Like Vesta and Ceres Pallas appears to be one of only 3 intact bodies from the early stage of planetary formation to survive within the inner solar system.   We've added a new way to donate to 365 Days of Astronomy to support editing, hosting, and production costs.  Just visit: https://www.patreon.com/365DaysOfAstronomy and donate as much as you can!
