Twitter: https://twitter.com/StrangeBedfell6 Email: StrangeBedfellows@yahoo.com Strange Bedfellows is a podcast exploring what happens when two seemingly oppositional things try to occupy the same place at the same time. What happens when Faith meets Science? What happens when Religion meets Politics? When the unstoppable force meets the immovable object, can they coexist? Or or does it devolve into an old west showdown where "This town ain't big enough for the both of us." Let’s find out.
We are living in a day and age where there is very real pressure to vote as a bloc. The "my way or the highway" aspect of politics and political leanings has made its way to the personal level. If you're a Christian, there is a lot of pressure to vote a specific party according to very specific issues. But are those issues really the end-all, be-all of the Christian platform? Is there no room to emphasize other issues? How did these issues even become the Evangelical platform in the first place? The answer might surprise you. After all, there's no way we should second-guess the motives of a group that literally has the word "moral" in their name, right?
In this episode I put off my plans for episode 2 in order to address recent events in a personal way. I open my heart up and shine a light on the dark parts inside. I inspect many of the ways that I could have confronted racism, but didn't. My hope is that by turning the spotlight on me, that maybe you will see some ways in which you can be doing better as well.
In this episode I explore the rivalry between science and faith. Our culture would have us believe that these two concepts are completely incompatible. But are they? What happens when they try to be in the same place at the same time? Find out on episode 1 of Strange Bedfellows!
Episode 1 Promo: Science and Faith A podcast exploring what happens when two seemingly contradictory or conflicting things try to occupy the same space. Can they come together? Or does it turn into a high noon showdown in the old west, where the two ideas simply square off in the street and say, "I thought I told you that this town isn't big enough for the both of us."
