Hellebro er et herberg med boliger til unge hjemløse mellem 18 og 29 år. I stueetagen ligger der et værested hvor alle unge kan komme fra gaden og spise gratis aftensmad, spille bordtennis, lave andre aktiviteter eller bare slappe af i en sofa. I værestedet ligger der også en radio der har åbent onsdag aften. Her sidder de unge bag mikrofonen og snakker om musik, kærlighed, dilemmaer, hårde tider og fortæller historier fra gaden. Ellers tager de mikrofoner med ud i byen og optager reportager fra folkemøder, valgkampe eller hjemløsearrangementer. Radioen er åben, fri og uforpligtende. De unge kan være anonyme og selv styre deres fortællinger. De må pjatte, skændes, synge, digte og levere fake news hvis de har lyst. Alle udsendelser springer ud fra de unges perspektiv. Gary Gwadera is the solo project of Piotr Gwadera—a composer, improviser, drummer and anthropologist-dreamer from the city of Łódź, Poland. In 2024, he released the critically acclaimed album “Far, Far in Chicago. Footberk Suite” an imaginary musical journey through time and space, where Polish traditional dance, oberek, and Chicago footwork find common ground in dynamic, triple rhythms. This year, at the Unsound Festival in Osaka, Krakow, and New York, his dream came true when he played with footwork pioneer RP Boo, one of Chicago's most legendary figures. This hour-long mix features their performance “Another Brain, The Birth of Footberk” (the title refers to one of the scenes from the legendary “Frankenstein” (1931), which, in RP Boo's opinion, stylistically corresponds to the music of the Polish village, played in the U.S. by folk bands of the Polish diaspora), which took place on October 30, 2025, during the Unsound Festival at the Lincoln Center in New York. The live set is bookended by an oberek from the Opoczno region, played by Władysław Koperkiewicz's band. Gary Gwadera is an artist of the SHAPE+ platform for innovative music and interdisciplinary art, co-funded by the EU and Pro Helvetia. This months update comes from danish composer and music researcher Jonas Olesen. He's been around the game for many years with a special interest in early media and pioneering music practices. Most recently he has released the book Else Marie Pade: Complete Electronic Works 1955-2012. The book provides the most comprehensive presentation of Pade's electronic works to date. Psychedelic tour de Balkan villages and Mediterranean towns mixed with techno and trance elements. As music digging can become similar to tourism, especially if you have time to do it for days in a row, you become hypnotized by different cultures and surprises you hear along the way. That's where the inspiration came from, to do this tourism mix, starting at 4 PM in a Romanian village. Matej Rusmir was born in Belgrade, Serbia, in 2000, where he finished music school for classical guitar. Soon after, Matej started exploring audio production. Later, in 2016, as he began his career in the underground scene, Matej quickly gained recognition for his distinctive style, blending tribal techno with downtempo old-school trance and ethnic elements. His production, live and DJ sets are filled with hypnotic and tribal rhythms and motifs that draw the audience's focus entirely to the sound. In Residence With is a podcast series that delves into the creative processes of sound artists during their residencies at Sound Art Lab in Struer, Denmark. Each episode offers an intimate glimpse into the artists' explorations, experiments, and reflections as they develop new work. At Sound Art Lab, Brazilian sound artist Bella Comsom is deepening her research into the electromagnetic fields surrounding trees. Using a handmade antenna, she records these inaudible signals—focusing in Struer on trees growing close to the sea. Each day, she walks along the coast, collecting field recordings and tuning in to the subtle presences of the landscape, reflecting on our relationship with the natural world. Her practice centers on listening as a way to sense the invisible connections between living beings and their environment. In this episode, we meet composer and instrument builder Laurits Jongejan, just as he completes Sun Chariot—a striking 2x2 meter electromechanical instrument assembled from more than 2,000 parts. Drawing inspiration from the Danish Bronze Age and the cryo chambers of quantum computers, Sun Chariot blends aluminum gongs, speaker plates, and mechanical mallets into a sculptural sound machine. Laurits explores his newly born instrument as its metallic resonance marks the beginning of its sonic life. Not built for the stage, but for immersive exploration, Sun Chariot invites us to rethink what an instrument can be.
