But we try! In this show, we look at the Nutella doping defence of an Italian biathlete. We discuss the dramatic performance of favourite Ilia Malinin, who confessed to "traumatic thoughts" before his ill-fated free-skate performance in Milan. There was no scoring controversy in that men's figure skating programme, but there have been in other events - Ice Dance and Big Air were affected by allegations of nationalistic bias, and then in the moguls, there was tie for gold, leading Ross to wonder about the credibility of a scoring system that uses subjective scoring to produce a tie down to the 1/100th of a point. Just share the gold, we reckon! One athlete who has had no problems, either with pressure or opponents, is Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo, now the most decorated Winter Olympian ever, and basically unbeatable in shorter races. Can he deliver the 50km too? Another who has delivered on the promise is Jordan Stolz, though he was denied the 1500m speed skating gold. Reports of his cycling process have led to speculation that he could have a great career in cycling, should he fancy it. We discuss the barriers to that transition, and wonder how he might go about it.Away from the Games, there's an indoor world record in the 800m, which augurs well for Keely Hodgkinson's longer term aspirations of the outdoor World Record, and which puts Femke Bol's aspirations into perspective. The head to head rivalry may be a season or two away - we explain why Bol needs more than a single season. And Finally, we return to the snow, where Ski Mountaineering made its debut at the Olympics and left us feeling considerably underwhelmed and disappointed in the structure of the event.LinksThe Nutella defense - report on Rebecca Passler's doping caseThe CAS 'non-decision' on Passler's case, but with a few details of what was being argued in her defenceA New York Times article on Ostarine and accidental doping ($ paywalled)The research paper that arose out of the "sweat contamination" defence against an ostarine positive testArticle on Malinin's free skate dramaDavid Epstein's article on Malinin and chokingJordan Stolz the cyclist: An article discussing his prospects on two wheelsHodgkinson's 800m World Indoor Record Hosted on Acast. It's a new episode which means one thing. A fresh rant. And this week it's…Pancake Day.Pete is, unsurprisingly, not on board He's never even had a pancake. He doesn't get the hype, whilst Sam is fully invested. Lemon, sugar, Nutella, the lot.But there is something Pete can get behind…his own glow up. We've spoken about Sam's transformation at length, but Pete has quietly levelled up without anyone clocking just how dramatic the shift has been. When you actually compare to last year… it's a bigger jump than we remembered. Then it descends into a proper rant off as we hand the floor to both of them and ask the important question: who is the biggest Karen? After a brief recap of a highly disappointing Super Bowl, Joel and Sam delve into the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, including one biathlete's tearful confession of infidelity and another's recurring issues with credit card fraud. Also: some olympians are taking steroids in their Nutella, while others are injecting acid into their ... private parts ... to gain a competitive edge. Almonds appear in several passages of the Hebrew Bible--reflecting their early importance as a cultivated tree and symbol in the 6th century BC. Eighty percent of the world's almonds are grown in California. If you aren't a fan of eating almonds, try celebrating almonds in their other forms--like an almond-based lotion or shampoo, or perfume. If you suffer from dry, flaky, or irritated skin, you can apply almond oil or almond lotions to hydrate your skin and give you a dose of vitamin A.

This segment is titled: Fueling Olympians with a Mountain of Pasta, and The Delicious Chaos of Eating Like an Olympian in Italy. While here in Rhode Island we are buried under a pile of senseless snow, picture yourself walking into the Olympic Village in Milan or breathing in the fresh mountain air of Corteena d'Ampezzo during the Milano Corteena 2026 Winter Games. After a tough training session, you're drawn to the dining hall, ready for a meal packed with carbs, protein, and plenty of Italian flavor. Unlike previous Olympic events like Sochi or PyeongChang, where food blandness left much to be desired, here the menu is so tasty that athletes are sharing pizza reviews on social media, acting like Michelin inspectors. I am writing this piece as I have cooked at four Winter Olympics myself, starting with Salt Lake City in 2002, and can tell you firsthand what really goes on in those hall kitchens. I vividly remember one busy evening in Salt Lake City when the Canadian ski team stood, eagerly facing a mountain of pappardelle pasta. With the power out due to a snowstorm, we hurriedly improvised under emergency lights, turning the situation into a spontaneous culinary adventure. The athletes gathered around, laughing and joking, as we created a makeshift assembly line, cutting pasta with whatever tools were on hand. It was a moment of delicious chaos, blending the thrill of the games with the camaraderie that emerges over a shared plate of flour and eggs. Those are the moments that make cooking at the Olympics unforgettable.Imagine something like up to 4,500 meals whipped up daily in the Milan hub alone, nearly 4,000 in Corteena, and another 2,300 in Predazzo. That's a mountain of pasta, with around 600 kilograms dished out each day. To put that into perspective, it's enough to fuel approximately 1,200 downhill runs, underscoring the athletes' immense calorie needs. Athletes swarm the carb stations like kids at a candy store, loading plates with spaghetti, gnocchi, fettuccine, and lasagna. One American freestyler declared she's had "the best pasta I've ever had here," while others admit to smashing entire pizzas post-practice. South African cross-country skier Matt Smith is on a mission, rating a quattro formaggi pizza an impressive 8.5/10 (lasagna got a polite "good"), and even scored a custom South African flag pizza topped with herbs and cured meats. Talk about personalized fueling! And for a sprinkle of quirky trivia, the most popular midnight snack among athletes is a surprising choice: Nutella-stuffed croissants, while the oddest request, hands down, was for spaghetti covered in chocolate sauce, proving their adventurous and unusual taste buds. The Canadian women's hockey team can't get enough focaccia, and sometimes bread is more popular than pasta. Their plates are loaded with pasta in meat sauce, fresh mozzarella, burrata, Parmigiano, and grilled proteins like chicken, turkey, veal, beef, salmon, or white fish. There are also vegetables and fruit for balance, and one player joked, "They're coming, OK?" But when you're burning thousands of calories on the ice or in the snow, a little extra cheese is just part of the deal. That extra cheese provides quick glycogen replenishment and boosts calcium intake for bone health. This indulgence aligns with a periodized nutrition strategy, where cycles of load, perform, and recover are carefully planned to ensure optimal performance over time.Read the Full Content More PodcastsSimValMedia, USAChef Walters Food ToursChef Walters Cooking School

Welcome to another beautifully unhinged celebrity news segment of The Rizzuto Show — the funny podcast that starts with Nutella and ends with you questioning how smoke detectors work. Today's celebrity news chaos kicks off with a rundown of the weirdest holidays imaginable, including National Fart Day, which we treat with the scientific seriousness it deserves. Add in showering-with-a-friend logic, chili-based emergencies, and one truly alarming smoke detector story, and we're already off the rails. From there, the show shifts into full St. Louis pride mode as the city earns major recognition in USA Today's Beer City nominations. We argue breweries, tours, free beers, and why some of us have lived here forever without ever taking the tour everyone swears by. Local love meets mild judgment — it's kind of our brand.Crap On Celebrities delivers wall-to-wall entertainment news, including Foo Fighters teasing new music, a surprise supergroup made of rock royalty offspring that actually slaps, and Jason Momoa casually showing up to play bass in a tiny pub like a walking Marvel movie. Things take a serious turn as we discuss missing celebrity family members, ongoing investigations, and hopeful updates — because even a funny podcast knows when to pump the brakes. Then it's back to nonsense. We celebrate health wins, inspect tongues on-air (sorry), and spiral into a savage Instagram followers game that humbles almost everyone except Cristiano Ronaldo. Birthdays, deep cuts, ridiculous trivia, and one legendary porno birthday later, we somehow wrap this thing up without HR getting involved. If you want a funny podcast that blends pop culture, weird news, local pride, and zero impulse control — congratulations.
See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

On this chaotic edition of The Other Side of Midnight, Lionel riffs on the bloody trauma of learning to shave and his adult disdain for sugary cereal. The conversation turns stomach-churning with reports of rodent waste found in popular snacks like Nutella and Cheerios, leading to a history lesson on industrial disasters. The phone lines heat up with wild theories ranging from Bruce Springsteen's political motives to a caller who claims Taylor Swift is a 1,000-year-old reptilian and JFK is secretly Jimmy Carter. Plus, restaurant horror stories, the "liberating" power of laxatives, and the suspense of betting on the exact minute Noam Laden walks into the studio. Learn more about your ad choices. Join Lionel for a chaotic "Ventilation Friday" on The Other Side Of Midnight that swings wildly from political theories about Minneapolis protests being "color revolutions" to the absurdity of modern pop culture. One minute he's roasting Bruce Springsteen's "lame" work and debating if Taylor Swift is a 1,000-year-old reptilian, and the next he's horrified by rodent waste in Nutella and the trauma of learning to shave. In this week's episode, I talk about things that we do to numb our feelings vs things that we do that bring us true comfort. I define what these two things are- numbing helps us NOT feel our feelings (not good) vs true comfort helps us restore and nourish ourselves, and be more resilient in the long term! But the difficulty in this is that ANYTHING we do can be for numbing or true comfort, so I can't just give you a list of "true comfort" 2 do's and send you on your way. I give a few examples of some things that I have had to tweak a bit to give me more comfort than numbing (TV, alcohol, etc.), a few things that only bring me true comfort (writing in my journal, going for walks) and things that I pretty much only do for numbing (Nutella spoons, sadly). Action item: when you are doing an activity, pause during (or after) and assess how you feel- do you feel like you wasted your time/that you wish you had stopped earlier? Probably numbing. Or, do you feel-better? Rested, calm, like what you did just helped you? Then it's true comfort!

¿Cuándo vas a comer? y ¿Cuánto vas a comer? Origen

Instead of being mad, they hit it off immediately and end the night kissing under a Christmas wreath. From there, they start dating, fall in love, and eventually buy a house together. Cut to the following Christmas: they're hosting both of their families in the new house. But it quickly becomes clear that things in Loveland are not as perfect as they seem. Liv is extremely stressed, while Daniel's solution is basically, “You should just put all that stress in a box somewhere.” Shockingly, this does not help. The tension boils over into an argument, and they decide to take a break. The problem? Neither of them can bring themselves to tell their parents. So they agree to pretend everything is fine for the holidays.Once the families arrive, chaos ensues. Liv's dad is aggressively committed to traditions she hates — including an absolutely unhinged candy game. Daniel's sister immediately clocks that something is wrong and confronts him. He comes clean to her, just as Liv confides in her brother. Both siblings agree to keep the secret… for now.As they stumble through Christmas together, there are moments where Liv and Daniel remember how much they still love each other — followed by moments that push them even further apart. Their families don't help. Everyone has opinions about everything, and it's exhausting.Things finally come to a head when Liv finds the engagement ring Daniel had planned to use.At last, they come clean to the entire family. Realizing they haven't been giving each other what they actually need, Liv and Daniel choose to recommit to one another. They make up, kiss, and Daniel officially proposes. And, in the true spirit of Christmas miracles, a Gobler Farms turkey is delivered on Christmas morning.

We are in day 22 of the government shutdown, as Democrats are not showing any signs of coming to the table to negotiate something reasonable. There has been nothing affordable about the affordable care act and was pushed through by Democrats during the Obama era. The expiring subsidies that Democrats are fighting for were also created and voted on by Democrats. Obamacare wreaked havoc on the healthcare marketplace and literally destroyed affordable health plans like HMOs. Next year, insurers expect an 18% percent increase in healthcare premiums because they expect healthy people to ditch their ridiculous "healthcare" plans. Congressman Ben Cline is here to talk about the stalemate and how we might get the government back up and running. Featuring: Rep. Ben Cline U.S. Congressman | Virginia, District 6 https://cline.house.gov/ Today's show is sponsored by: Keksi Cookies Keksi is a gourmet cookie company known for making cookies so good, people actually talk about them.
