The power of voting. Voting Rights and the extreme importance of voting in 2020, no matter who you support.

The proposed new USPS mail ballot requirements will not apply during the 2026 election but regular mail delays and postmark problems remain concerns for voters. In this episode of the Vote Voiced Podcast, Donna Miller explains:• What the Supreme Court decided on September 14, 2026 • Why the USPS stopped work on its proposed ballot information system • What the Court did and did not decide • Why voters should still return mail ballots early • What a new GAO report reveals about mail delivery delays • How to verify ballot deadlines and authorized return locations • What voters should know about AI-generated election deepfakes • Why Vote Voiced remains firmly nonpartisanThe proposed USPS system would have required election officials to submit ballot envelope designs for approval, use voter specific barcodes and upload certain voter information to a federal portal. The Supreme Court left the preliminary injunction blocking those requirements in place, and USPS subsequently confirmed that the requirements will not be enforced during the 2026 federal election. However, the court ruling did not resolve ordinary mail delays. The Government Accountability Office reports that USPS has added one or two days to some expected delivery times and has missed most First Class Mail performance targets since 2022.VOTER REMINDER:If you vote by mail, return your ballot early. Verify your exact deadline, signature requirements and authorized return options through your official state or local election authority. Use an official ballot tracking service when one is available. The episode also examines a preliminary federal court ruling involving Montana's election deepfake law and explains why voters should verify dramatic political images, videos and audio recordings before sharing them.Don't just be told how to vote. The Supreme Court's emergency order did not permanently prohibit USPS from proposing similar rules in the future. The Montana deepfake ruling is preliminary, applies to the parties involved in that lawsuit and does not create one nationwide rule for election-related artificial intelligence.#VoteVoiced #VoteVoicedPodcast #MailInVoting #MailBallot #VoterEducation #Election2026 #VoteReady #VerifyForYourself #AIMisinformation #CivicEducation
