She has been crowdfunding towards what will be her tenth album and along the way has launched what she calls an ‘inspirational career coaching' business that is not just for musicians. She continues to perform regularly, not only in Music City but as far away as San Diego and Hawaii, among other locations. As a songwriter for over 13 years, Alyssa has now built repertoire of more than 400 originals in multiple genres, 150+ recorded, and a handful getting weekly International airplay from radio, Internet radio and podcasts across the U.S.Her career started by complete accident after she moved to LA in 2003 to pursue her life long passion as a hip-hop dancer/choreographer. Friends heard her singing to herself, forced her to try karaoke one night, and the rest is history. Within the next seven months, she released her first two albums "The Alyssa Jacey EP" and "Closed eyes... ...open Heart LP." Late 2005, she picked up a guitar and spent hours a day teaching herself so that by only after three short weeks, she was able to perform 30-minute sets accompanying herself. The following year "The Soul, EP" was released after being flown to Miami to record it. Fresh off her 31-show, 24-city tour last Fall in support of her “Destined” album, singer/songwriter Alyssa Jacey is interviewed one day after making a huge announcement. She talks about her big news plus the new song she’s recording, co-hosting “Balcony TV,” last year’s shows and release (which included players from Taylor Swift, The Band Perry, and LeAnn Rimes), and much more.
