People have been having Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) all over the world for as long as we can look back into history. And the strange thing is… these experiences seem to have a lot in common. Why? Is it a look into the afterlife? Is it just our neurons firing in weird ways as the brain dies? We'll talk to psychiatrist Bruce Greyson, one of the world's leading experts on Near-Death Experiences, about the research that led him to rethink his understanding of the nature of life, death, and the continuity of consciousness. We'll explore the science behind how these experiences can provide comfort, heal past trauma, and even create transcendent experiences that help us make as much sense of our lives as of impending death. And we'll also consider the bigger question of what NDEs suggest, if anything, about our understanding of reality. Bruce Greyson, M.D. is the author of “After: A Doctor Explores What Near-Death Experiences Reveal About Life and Beyond.” Find out more about his book, and his over 45 years of experience researching NDEs, on his website. Here are links to the recordings of people you heard talking about their NDEs throughout the episode: Sharon Stone, Dr. Mary Neal, Renee Pasarow, Cherie Aimee, Jayne Smith. Here's a video of Dr. Gregory Shushan talking about his research on NDEs in ancient religions.

NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES! What happens to us when we die? Are we burned or buried and then... that's it? Lights out? Or do we see our lives flash before our eyes, float above our bodies and blissfully move towards the light? Unless you're dead, you'll never know... Unless, that is, you die and come back to life! This week, Geordie and Michelle discuss Near Death Experiences and look at two intriguing case studies: the first is Dr Mary Neal, who was dead for more than 30 minutes and who was brought back to life after crossing into another realm. The second is the story of Cherie Aimee, who was clinically dead for more than 90 minutes and who reviewed her life on her way to another dimension - and has a cautionary warning for us all. We also talk about Space Clearing and how cleaning out the energetic mess in your home can help you feel happy, energised and relaxed in your space. Geordie also talks about the time her friend and space clearer Becca Bourne was asked to help rid a family of an unwanted spirit! After discussing the brilliant Netflix series Surviving Death, Michelle wonders if we're all part of an otherworldly reality show... Geordie talks about the time she went on a journey during childbirth... Michelle talks about the similarities between NDEs and ketamine... And it all wraps up with the pair discussing Claytons and Cinzano... Enjoy the episode and KEEP EAVESDROPPIN'!

Cherie Aimee was medically dead for 90 minutes from cardiac arrest. Per a miracle, she came back and was in a coma for 3 months. Like many of us, before that moment she was in a spot in life where she knew she wasn’t living the true her. Not making the impact on the world that she knew she could make. That moment triggered in her to learn to love herself (she teaches how she did) and how a new mindset unleashed how she shows up in life and how you can too. Welcome to Episode 37 of the No Quit Living Podcast. NQL is a personal development podcast designed to help listeners achieve their goals and desires. Through hearing the inspiring stories and tips from the greats, we will all find it easier to stay motivated and never quit. Cherie Aimee was dead for 90 minutes... And lived to tell the tale. This is one of the most incredible "No Quit" stories we've heard to date on this show. When Aimee died in the hospital, she credits one doctor in particular who went above and beyond to ensure his team did absolutely everything in their power to revive her. After multiple open heart surgeries, a bionic heart, induced coma's, and chronic pain that Aimee still deals with to this day, Cherie Aimee survived and made it her mission to make the most out of the second chance she was given. Recently, she spoke at a conference in front of all the people that contributed to saving her life. Aimee used 0 notes, spoke straight from the heart, and there wasn't a dry eye in the room. If it weren't for those doctors and engineers who worked as hard as they did, there would be no Cherie Aimee. The world would be without an incredible person who spends every day helping and inspiring others immensely and paying it forward. [It was] one of those things where I accepted a behavior for way too long; extreme bullying. This person was a class bully. It's crazy to think back to some of the things this person got away with. Mindfulness absolutely would have helped. I always felt, when I got bullied, that I had done something and to be honest and fair, when I would go to the guidance counsellor at the time, they would pull us both in and the bully would go through this whole [thing]; they would start crying and make it about them. It would be made to look like maybe I was misinterpreting. In schools I think they're still struggling with how to handle this. Back then they would just say, go make up. The guidance counsellor would say, what did you do to invoke that? If I was more aware of who I was and my own self worth and my own powerful beauty as a soul, I wouldn't have allowed that kind of behavior. I would not have continued to allow somebody like that to even be considered a friend.
