In February of 2000, tonight's guest, Anita Tallbl, was spending a night out with two friends of hers, Manny and Tess, when she had her first Sasquatch sighting. You see, when Anita had that first sighting, she was sitting in the back of Manny's car, with Tess, about 200 yards from Tess' property. To Anita's surprise, she saw two Sasquatch crossing the road in front of Manny's car. One of the Sasquatch was black and the other one was a brownish/red color. That experience took Anita from having a very mild interest in the Sasquatch phenomenon to being very interested in finding out all she could about them. Less than a week ago, tonight's guest, Josh, had a Dogman encounter. He was hunting deer at the time, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, in a blind. To get to the blind Josh was sitting in, he had to walk down a narrow path that had heavy brush on either side of it. The area around the blind was choked with trees and brush that made visibility very poor except for the lanes that had been cut through the brush by his dad. In July of 1993, a group of Florida teenagers committed one of the most shocking and senseless murders in modern true crime history. In May of 2023, Crystal was sitting at a traffic light, near a well-known landmark in Pennsylvania, when she had a Sasquatch sighting. The landmark is called Horseshoe Curve. Horseshoe Curve is a winding series of curves, bridges, and tunnels that a railroad track winds through and over, near Altoona, Pennsylvania. Tonight's guest, Shawn Brackenridge, is a Dogman investigator who doesn't believe in living in your fears. Having said that, even he gets unsettled when he and his research partner visit the area around the Lake Medina Dam, near Mico, Texas. Every time Shawn has visited the dam, the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. The dam is different than any other dam Shawn has seen, when you consider the lengths county officials have gone to, to keep people away from the dam. 7-foot fences surround the dam that are topped with razor wire. Shawn doesn't have to guess why the county has gone to such lengths to keep people away from the dam. He's had multiple encounters with something there that would definitely make the county want to keep people away. Locals who live near the dam don't go outside, after dark. They stay inside their homes. Shawn spoke with a man who works at a shop, in the area, who told Shawn that he won't go outside after dark there, either. How urgency fades, headlines never come, and families are left to fight alone for attention and answers.From there, we turn to the real-life disappearance of 18-year-old Cleashindra Hall, a decades-long missing person case that deserves to be remembered.Cleashindra, or “Clea,” as her family calls her, was an honors student from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, with dreams of becoming a pediatrician. On the evening of May 9, 1994, she finished her shift working for a local business and called her mother to say she'd be home soon. But Cleashindra never made that second call, and she was never seen again.Over the years, her family has searched tirelessly for answers. There were searches, interviews, and countless leads — yet no arrests have ever been made, and no trace of Cleashindra has been found. Tonight's guest, Casey, used to love camping at the seasonal campground he owns, in the White Mountain National Forest, near Lincoln, New Hampshire. The campground is a beautiful place and Casey has gone camping there, every summer, for the past 10 years. It really is a shame, but Casey had an experience at his campground, a few weeks ago, that has forever tarnished the beauty he sees in the woods. It was an experience that was so frightening, so intense, he vomited right before I called him, for the first time, due to him thinking about what happened to him that evening. What started out as a great outing for Casey and his 100-pound pit bull, Callie, turned out to be an absolute nightmare for both of them. We’ll be right back Break 2: Ingles Markets STORY 4: Georgia Department of Education recognizes five Gwinnett schools on 2025 Distinguished and Reward Schools list Big news for Gwinnett schools! Jackson Elementary, Mountain Park Elementary, Paul Duke STEM High, and Trip Elementary have been named 2025 Distinguished Schools by the Georgia Department of Education. What does that mean? They’re in the top 5% of Title I schools statewide, based on ELA and math scores. Pretty impressive, right? And there’s more—Arcado Elementary snagged the 2025 Title I Reward School honor, recognizing the top 5% of schools making the biggest improvements over two years. Each school gets a certificate, a flag, and a shot at a national award. STORY 5: Contested mayoral races top ballots in three cities This fall’s municipal elections are heating up, especially in three cities with contested mayoral races. While most ballots focus on city council seats, Loganville, Braselton, and Sugar Hill voters have some big decisions to make. In Loganville, it’s an open race—Mayor Skip Baliles is retiring. Voters will choose between City Councilman Branden Whitfield and local business owner John Soesbe to take the reins. Braselton’s Mayor Kurt Ward is up against two challengers: Michael Cronic, a former school board chair, and Brandon Reed, founder of ReeDesign MFG. Over in Sugar Hill, Mayor Brandon Hembree faces watchdog Amber Chambers in his first re-election bid. Meanwhile, Dacula, Grayson, and Norcross mayors are cruising to re-election unopposed. STORY 6: Lawrenceville City Council races come ahead of big annexation vote Lawrenceville’s city council races are in the spotlight this year—and not just because it’s the county seat. There’s also a big annexation vote looming in May that could add 19,000 new residents to the city. The leaders elected in November? They’ll be the ones managing that growth if it happens. Incumbents Austin Thompson (Post 3) and Marlene Taylor Crawford (Post 4) are both seeking re-election, but they’ve got challengers. Thompson faces former FOX 5 reporter Randy Travis, while Crawford is up against Gwinnett Sheriff’s Office Major Bryant Harris. Thompson, an engineer and small business consultant, is focused on economic growth, affordable housing, and making Lawrenceville a “city of the future.” He’s all-in on the annexation, saying it’ll bring character and opportunity to the city. Travis, meanwhile, is leaning on his decades of local visibility and says he’ll focus on traffic, taxes, and expanding the city’s tax base without burdening current residents. He’s also committed to explaining the annexation’s benefits to those in the proposed area. In the Post 4 race, Crawford, a school counselor and longtime community advocate, is pushing for equity across all neighborhoods—no more blight in one area and prosperity in another. She supports the annexation but stresses the need to expand services thoughtfully. Harris, with a deep background in law enforcement, is prioritizing safety, youth programs, and traffic solutions. He’s for the annexation too but says the city must ensure new residents get the same quality of services current ones enjoy. With so much at stake, these races are ones to watch. STORY 7: Gwinnett Counselor named Georgia School Counselor of the Year Crews Middle School’s Shayla Thompson just got some well-deserved applause—she’s been named Georgia School Counselor of the Year by the Georgia School Counselor Association. “I’m beyond grateful,” Thompson said. “This isn’t just about me—it’s about the incredible leaders, colleagues, and students who’ve supported me every step of the way. I couldn’t do this without them.” The surprise announcement came with flowers, a banner, and a visit from GSCA President Gabrielle Brundidge. David Belford lives on a 22-acre property that is forested and mountainous, in West Virginia. He's had two Sasquatch sightings and both of them happened while he was on his property. He's also a team member of the WV Case Bigfoot Collective. That's a Sasquatch investigation team that an investigator named Les O'Dell created. Dave has been into Bigfooting for 10 years or more. What sparked his interest in Sasquatch was a documentary he saw that featured Dr. Jeffery Meldrum. When Dave had his first sighting, in June of last year, he was taking his dog, Ted, out at 3 AM. After taking Ted out, Dave randomly glanced up to a hillside that's visible from his backyard and was shocked by what he saw. Bryan is an avid kayaker and camper who lives in Central Iowa. Bryan spends as much of his free time as possible enjoying the great outdoors. Unfortunately, he had an experience, in May or June of 2016, that tarnished his love of being in the great outdoors. When he had that experience, he and 13 of his friends were kayaking down the Middle Racoon River. Some of them were very experienced at kayaking, others were novices. The group was approaching a place in the river that could be dangerous for novice kayakers, so Bryan and his good friend, Mark, decided to paddle ahead so they could stand on a sandbar that would allow them to watch the novices navigate that dangerous stretch of the river. Before Bryan and Mark made it to that sandbar, however, a rock the size of a softball hit the water inches from Mark's kayak. Thomas Shay is the founder of the Northern Kentucky Bigfoot Research Group. Tom has been investigating the Sasquatch phenomenon since 1987. That's when he had his first Sasquatch-related experience. You see, in 1987, Tom was heading to see his girlfriend, in Carlton, Kentucky, on US 36, when he had his first sighting. It was 85 degrees out, that day, so Tom was surprised when he saw what he, at first, thought was a man in a fur coat, on the side of the highway. As he got closer, he slowed down to a very slow speed and slowly went past the subject. After creeping by the subject, he felt like he didn't get a good enough look at it, so he turned his car around, parked it on the side of the road, and got out so he could follow the subject down into a field. Moments later, Tom realized that was a poor decision. From that day on, Tom tried to learn all he could about Sasquatch. Dusty Ruth is the leader of BFRO expeditions in Ohio. He's also an investigator for the Northern Kentucky Bigfoot Research Group. As you can imagine, Dusty has spent untold hours in the field, on Sasquatch investigations. Of all the experiences he's had, in the field, the 3 sightings he's had are, understandably, the most memorable ones. Dusty had his first sighting in 2019, while he was on an outing with the BFRO, in Ohio. That sighting was the first of two sightings he's had through a thermal vision device, at night. After he had those two sightings, he had a daytime sighting. When he had that daytime sighting, he saw the Sasquatch without the help of any technology. He saw it with his unaided eyes.
