Tonight's guest, Athena, lives on a very old farm, that's backed by ancient woodlands, in North Wales, in the U.K. Due to how old her farm is, there are some good things that come along with that and some bad. One of the bad things she and her family members have had to deal with is a presence of paranormal entities that have made all of their lives more interesting than what they would prefer. Another thing she's had to learn to deal with is the presence of Dogmen that make their presence known too often for Athena's liking. Unfortunately, when it comes to Dogman encounters, Athena got an early start. You see, she had her first Dogman encounter when she was only 16 years old. It happened late one night when there was a full moon out. That encounter was, by far and away, the most traumatic encounter she's had with a Dogman due, in large part, to where it happened. She was in her own bed, at the time. The one place where you should feel safer than any other. What made that encounter even more traumatic was what the Dogman did after she saw it. Tonight's guest, Mel, has seen Yowies on two occasions. The first time she saw one, she was driving down a road and wound up hitting one with her car. That experience rattled her, but not nearly as much as her second Yowie encounter did. Be sure to click the link in the show notes below and check out Fred's amazing channel.Fred, a tribal council member from Dillingham, Alaska, returns to share chilling accounts of encounters with what he calls the “hairy man.” In his First Nations culture, these experiences are not sensationalized—they're part of oral history and everyday life in remote Alaska.In the first story, two relatives—“Penelope” and “Jasmine”—were camping on a gravel bar near the confluence of the Nuuk and Ishak rivers while heading to Harris Creek to prospect for gold. During the night, they heard strange noises and saw multiple sets of eyeshine—white and amber/red—watching from the darkness. Penelope witnessed a massive, dark, man-like figure with long arms moving along the riverbank.What followed escalated quickly: a blood-curdling scream, pebbles tossed into the water, and even a broken birch tree thrown into the channel. A towering figure—estimated around 12 feet tall—paced, swayed, squatted, showed its teeth, and vocalized while more eyeshine appeared in the distance, suggesting multiple beings.After a warning shot was fired, the activity briefly stopped—but later something crossed the channel, circled their tent while huffing like a bear, screamed from just 15 feet away, and even rocked a large tree stump near camp. Shots were fired from inside the tent before the pair fled in their boat, leaving their camp behind. Reports of screams, thrown objects, tracks, and even UFO sightings are common in the remote regions he represents.He then shares a second account from about 20 years ago. Two friends, “Benson” and “Terry,” set out on a 10-day fly-fishing trip that ended early after repeated frightening events. They experienced unnatural silence, large tracks, and the constant feeling of being watched. Terry saw a large man-like figure in the tundra and later encountered something 8 to 8.5 feet tall standing in a creek, unfazed by shouting. On the sixth day, Benson followed a strange melodic whistle and appeared briefly trance-like before Terry stopped him.That night, Benson finally saw the creature clearly—squatted about 20 feet from camp with glowing red eyeshine, a wrinkled face, massive hands, and large block-like teeth framed by thick fur. When Terry aimed his rifle, it screamed. Shots were fired, and they believed it may have been hit.The creature returned repeatedly that night and eventually grabbed and threw their tent before running off after more gunfire.By day seven, they hiked out and were picked up early. Tonight's first guest, Heather, grew up in a very rural part of Central Louisiana. She grew up hunting, so she's always loved the outdoors. When the COVID lockdowns happened, to help pass the time, Heather decided to look into the Sasquatch phenomenon. Not long after she started to armchair research, she hooked up with a group of ladies who were interested in Sasquatch too. It wasn't long after that that Heather started doing field investigations with those ladies that spanned several states. Up until that point, Heather was interested in Sasquatch but what really piqued her interest in them was the day she found a set of Sasquatch prints in the Kisatchie National Forest. Tonight's guest, Doug Messer, had his first and only Bigfoot sighting in 1980. He had his sighting while he was in his bedroom, but his encounter started in the woods, behind his house, in Greenup County, Kentucky. You see, he had been camping in the woods behind his house with 3 friends of his. After the he and his 3 friends had turned in for the night, it started to rain pretty heavily and the rain washed out their camp. That caused them to decide to pack up their camp and head back to Doug's house. After they had everything packed up, they had just started walking down an old timber road, to leave, when they noticed heavy footsteps pacing them to their right. When the boys would stop walking, the footsteps would stop too. They tested that several times and every time they'd stop walking the heavy footsteps would stop too. That frightened them, so they all took off running. Whatever it was that the boys were running from kept pace with them. Finally, after the boys made it to Tommy's house, Tommy thought the experience was over. Tonight's guest, Super Dave, had his first encounter when he was in the 5th grade, in the Saginaw Eddy Bottoms, in Arkansas. The day he had it, he had walked back to his favorite fishing hole. As he got close to the fishing hole, he heard some whoops, followed by footsteps that were following him. That unnerved him, but what happened to him when he reached his fishing hole, the intensity of his situation went through the roof. Tonight's guest, Marshall, is an experienced Ohio Dogman investigator who was featured on Episode 626, most recently. Originally, he came on Episode 445, to talk about Dogman encounters he'd had in his main research area. Back when he came on Episode 445 to do that, he viewed the Dogmen in his research to be relatively docile. On Episode 626, however, he came back to tell us about the change in demeanor he's noticed from the Dogmen in that area. He now describes them as being dangerous. On Episode 626, he told us about several unnerving discoveries he'd made in his main research area that lead him to conclude that the Dogmen there are dangerous now. On that show, Marshall told us about the relatively positive experiences he'd had with Dogmen in a research area he'd been doing investigations in for 30 years. On that show, he described the Dogmen in his main research area as being almost docile. Unfortunately, that's all changed. Not long ago, Marshall noticed an abrupt change in the demeanor of the Dogmen in that area. Now, he describes them as being dangerous. The area used to have a lot of visitors but Marshall has noticed that the area rarely has visitors anymore. Marshall has made several disturbing discoveries there, recently. Tonight's guest, Rodney, describes himself as being a farm boy who grew up on a farm, in Ohio. He'd hunted from the time he was knee-high to a grasshopper all the way up to 1983. After spending so much time in the woods, he thought he knew about everything out there in them. That confidence came crashing down, one night, in August of 1983, however. That was the night he had just stepped out of his house and found himself literally face to face with what looked to him like a huge, black Werewolf. When he shut the door to his house that night, turned and almost walked right into the thing, it was crouched like it was about to pounce on him. On December 24th, around midnight, after Bruce Brown and I recorded last week's show (Episode 623), he drove to a property in Fentress County, Tennessee to investigate a Dogman sighting a farmer there had, recently. While he was looking around the farmer's property, nothing of note happened. When he was walking back to his car, however, that all changed. Tonight's guest, Jonathan Branham, grew up in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky, in a place locals call “The Holler.” As a kid, he roamed the mountains around The Holler barefoot, without a care.
