There's a chill in the air to be sure, not sure if it's because the temps are dipping and the darkness comes early these days or if it's because your favourite co-hosts are talkin' Leafs!  That's right, we've got the 1966-67 Toronto Maple Leafs on the slate tonight, the last Toronto squad to hoist Lord Stanley.  Lead by legends like Ron Ellis, Dave Keon, Frank Mahovlich, George Armstrong, Red Kelly and donut pitchman Tim Horton, with Johnny Bower and Terry Sawchuk between the pipes and the great Punch Imlach behind the bench, this squad vanquished the hated Habs in six games!Then we talk about the surge of youthful exuberance in the league as the Habs and Ducks are on heaters and names like Celebrini and Bedard are near the top of the points race.  It's refreshing ain't it?  Also, the your Winnipeg Jets go oh-fer California and the squad down in St. Louis is singing the Blues!In period three, we've got a huge PWHL announcement and we kick off a new team in our Score Six Pack attack!  All this and trio of great Canadian tunes, eh!

The guys are making do this week, with Darren traveling in Europe and John and Curtis being forced into an early-morning recording session. But, the vibes are high after a 1-0-1 week from the Kraken, so that helps (they recorded before the Sharks game). It's Friday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is ready to massage your eardrums with an hour of off-season Oilers talk. For the second delicious debate, Dan wanted to know what everyone thought about the new PWHL logos for the Seattle Torrent and Vancouver Goldeneyes. Shifting gears to the Edmonton Oilers, the guys started the discussion with a look at the Oilers' dreadful run of giving up multi-goal leads when it seemed they had wins in the bank. According to Jason Gregor, the Oilers lead the league in blowing multi-goal leads while also being unable to score in the shootout. To put it lightly, Edmonton is not playing up to its own standards, and it's incredibly frustrating to watch it piss away points that should have been tucked away. Finally, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots, betting talk for our friends at bet365, and Hot and Cold Performers to look back on the week. In episode 314 of the Glass and Out Podcast we chat with Hockey Hall of Famer Jayna Hefford, who currently works as the Executive Vice-President of Hockey Operations for the PWHL.  As the person who has largely been the face of the league since it's inception in August of 2023, she has played a key role in the growth of female hockey. Her unique background prior to becoming a sports executive includes a playing career as a star on Canada's National Team, playing in five Olympics, capturing four gold medals, and 12 World Championships, where she collected another seven gold medals.  Throughout her career she has gravitated towards leadership roles and demonstrated a knack for bringing people together to achieve a common goal. Nowhere has that skill-set been more valuable than her time with the PWHL. Listen as she shares the origins of the PWHL, why female hockey is rooted in passion and why the league's upwards trajectory has created an exciting time for women's sports.
