Many wish they could write a letter and mail it to their younger self? It might say, "don't eat the lunch in the school cafeteria," or "say yes to that date in 1995", or "2020 is going to be crazy, but there is going to be life on the other side of it." Instead of writing a letter to our past self, why not write a letter today as if we are in the future; specifically one year from now. If you could jump to January of next year, what do you think you would write in that letter? Maybe the letter you would write a year from now, are the exact words you need to hear today.

July 3- 9 2023 Life comes into beautiful bloom this week. The full moon is in foundation laying Capricorn on July 3rd. Look for imbalance between work and family, between obligation and offering. Balance what you give and take from home and what you offer to the outside world for greatest happiness. This full moon will illuminate your true needs. Now you can see how the plans you made in January are playing out. Capricorn needs to achieve. The urge towards accomplishment is prominent in every Capricorn. To fully utilize (oh how Capricorns love to utilize) the energy of this full moon, become aware of the way you are managing life. Capricorn is a natural in the real world. Duty and responsibility are Capricorn's forte. Laying foundation and working towards a better future with discipline and focus are mixed into the matrix of every Capricorn Soul. You can tap into that now. The Capricorn side of life is much more respected in our imbalanced societies. But the need for a safe and cozy home to regenerate and relax remains necessary and fundamental. You need to cuddle, and cook, to relax and retreat to safe little corner of Love if you want to be a non-dysfunctional human. With this Full moon You can create in authentic ways that will satisfy fundamental needs. So do take the time to set your intentions: draw, write, speak them to the Universe. This is a powerful full moon to co-create the perfect home and perfect work in perfect love and perfect trust. So be it!

In this episode, we have a special guest, Kelly Stanford from Stanford's Solicitors and Mediators. Kelly is also a student in the Scalable Business Lounge, learning how to leverage her firm for more time and freedom. Being in business for over twenty years, Kelly has many experiences that she generously shared with listeners. Being a people person, Kelly has a passion for helping my clients find a solution to their legal problems. She stumbled into family law and has found her niche in helping clients through their separation and divorce, and estate planning. One of the key takeaways from what Kelly shared is that as a lawyer, she started her firm because she was great at offering a legal service. However, she realised that in her early days as a law firm owner, all she had done was created herself a full-time job rather than a business that afforded her more freedom and profit. It wasn't until recent years that she started to scale her practice so that her business could serve her in far more beneficial ways. Kelly has had a bigger focus on working on her business rather than in it. Since joining mentoring groups and connecting with other law firm owners, including the Scalable Business Lounge, Kelly has started implementing changes into her practice. As a result, she has a much better work-life balance and is looking forward to the next phase of her business. We also had a really interesting chat about what it was like starting a business in the late 90s versus now. There have been so many changes in the legal industry which makes it much easy to start a law firm these days. Tune in to hear us talk about how to get from running a firm that provides only a job to scaling a law firm that can provide a lifestyle and freedom. "One thing my grandparents taught me... You can't spend towards retirement, but you can save for it." - Johnnie Williams IIIIt's NEVER TO LATE to: - start something new- stop making the same mistakes- try a different approach- change your mind or perspectiveThe focus in this episode is on the retirement plans and practices of employees and those opting for entrepreneurship. You will be challenged to ask yourself what is your spending ratio, as it relates to how you spend on wants and needs. The analogy used during this episode played off the hugely successful book by Robert Kiyosaki, 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad'. But instead referenced the retirement planning of my entrepreneurial grandparents and my employee grandparents. Many Americans do not have the type of long-term savings that will insure a comfortable retirement, and this show will offer up a reason to take some time to really Think About It...Ask Yourself:1) What type of spending personality do you have?2) Where can you cut back on wants to save what you need to?3) How will this step enhance your retirement? Welcome to the 37th episode of the Give A Heck Podcast! Join Dwight Heck and his guest, Mark Ryall, as they talk about connecting with your genuine self. Mark worked as a college educator and public sector consultant before writing his first speculative fiction novel, “Age-Decoded.” He wrote the book to understand the inevitable rise of more technological advancements like CRISPR. Today, Mark shares his thoughts on how technology will alter the human condition and why it must only be developed to serve humanity. In this episode, you'll learn about: ● How to effectively adapt in life and affect change in others by caring for yourself first. ● Being who we pretend to be and why we must be careful who we choose to be. ● Choosing who you want to be and overcoming others' uncomfortableness of who you should be. ● The importance of affirmation and how it can help someone find their genuine self. ● Technological advancements as a significant pivot for humanity and how mortality gives us purpose. ● And much more! ~ About Mark Ryall: Mark Ryall taught economics and mathematics at Royal St. George's College, Toronto, and Hillfield Strathallan College, Hamilton, for a combined twenty-two years. "Age-Decoded" is his first novel. Mark wrote it to educate himself and the world about the imminent tsunami of CRISPR genetic engineering. He believes this technology will fundamentally alter human nature and that it must be carefully controlled and applied to serve humanity well. Mark is also an avid golfer and a triathlon runner. Meanwhile, he enjoys painting historic structures and sports portraits. Nowadays, Mark serves as a volunteer cross country coach for Westdale Secondary School, Hamilton. His education includes BSc, MBA, and Ph.D. (University of Toronto, Education). ~ You can find Mark Ryall on… LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-ryall-2b87b2b/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mark.ryall.9465 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/m.ryall/ Age-Decoded on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Age-Decoded-Mark-P-Ryall-ebook/dp/B08YY39GSV ~ Connect with Dwight Heck!
