We're not medical experts but we are expert ex-drinkers, and our podcast brings people together who are on their own alcohol-free journeys by celebrating just how wonderful life without booze can be! In this episode we chat to Dean McCullough, the sober superstar who's just landed his dream job on BBC Radio 1! Dean is an absolute joy - he's bright, he's funny and he's so motivational when he speaks. He talks to us about the reasons why he's sober - and in a lot of ways, it wasn't to get the dream job, but to make sure he does himself justice whilst sitting behind the microphone and broadcasting to millions. He opens up about his childhood, and how he was always teased for having too much to say - if he drank now, he'd be doing that little boy a disservice by not doing the dream job to the best of his abilities. He also talks to us about his recent sober trip to Ibiza, a place that most people couldn't imagine going to if they'd recently gone AF! But Dean had a fabulous time, and gives us some great tips if you're worried about an alcohol free holiday. We now have a live studio (Zoom) audience watching the podcast as it's being recorded.
