Susie gives a tribute to her beloved Brian Wilson. We find out why Amelia Earhart wasn't actually a great pilot (seems like the disappearance should've tipped us off), but instead was just ahead of her time in...influencing. Susie explains how Amelia's famous flight has disturbing similarities to the Titan submersible tragedy. We learn about a woman who donated her body to science, but ended up blown to bits by the military. We hear why a funeral home was sending people remains of the strangers instead of their loved ones. We discuss an Olympian who has been kicked off the canoeing team for having an OnlyFans account and Susie thinks she should start an account for people whose kink is being insulted. Our Favorite Picks10:37 - Susie shares her love for the amazing Brian Wilson.18:58 - New Yorker article about Amelia Earhart30:11 - Man donated his mother's body to alzheimer's research, only to find out it was later sold on, and blown up!39:13 - Sarah's airfryer analogy45:15 - Olympic canoer pays for training by showing off his skin-paddle on Only Fans50:13 - Gen-Z and their dislike for opening a tab at the bar54:24 - Susie considers starting an Only Fans accountThe End... In this raw and soul-stirring episode of The Healing Version, host Deborah creates space for the truth so many LGBTQ+ people carry in silence: the pain, courage, and complexity of coming out—especially to family. Coming out is often portrayed as a celebration, but for many, it's met with silence, shame, or outright rejection. In this episode, Deborah unpacks the emotional weight of telling the truth about who you are, what it costs when that truth isn't received with love, and how to begin healing when home no longer feels safe. With powerful reflections and real listener stories, Deborah reminds us that coming out isn't just about sexuality—it's about coming back to yourself. You'll hear affirmations for anyone who's ever had to hide, encouragement for those still finding their voice, and a message for families learning to love better. Because healing starts with truth. And on The Healing Version, we honor every version of who you are.

It's Tuesday, June 17th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson and Adam McManus North Korean Christian, arrested in 2007, has disappeared International Christian Concern remembers another persecuted saint today among those who have disappeared into the hands of a tyrannical state. Kim Sung-sik of North Korea, who was arrested at the age of 49 in 2007 at his home, was remembered for distributing Bibles and for handing out gifts to needy folks. A North Korean defector described this man of God as having “character like steel.” He never bowed to anyone, and would even confront public officers for accepting bribes. His grandfather was a Presbyterian minister who had been persecuted and imprisoned by the Communist regime. Sung-Sik's wife and children, who were also arrested, have also disappeared. According to Open Doors, North Korea is the most dangerous place worldwide to live as a Christian. Chinese Communists want churches to sing worship songs praising communism The Chinese Communist Party, China's ruling political class, released a plan on May 7 mandating that Protestant churches include songs in their worship praising communism. Sadly, reports of Protestants representing the official Three-Self Patriotic church indicate they are complying with the new regulations. Nigerian Muslims massacred 200 villagers, mostly Catholic This just in from Truth Nigeria. Fulani Muslim jihadists massacred 200 villagers from the farming community in Guma County located in Benue State. Most of the residents are Catholics. Witnesses report that 40 gunmen stormed the village shouting “Allahu Akbar.” The terrorists opened fire on civilians while setting homes on fire, and killing indiscriminately. Over 10,000 survivors who escaped are now needing clean water, medical aid, and facilities to house them. Equipping the Persecuted ministry is collecting resources to provide for immediate needs. Over the last two years, 10,217 Nigerians have been killed in Muslim-inspired massacres, and about 6,900 of those killings have occurred in Benue State. Israel bombed 80 more Iranian targets In its ongoing war with Iran, Israel bombed 80 more targets on Sunday. At least 200 Iranians have died thus far in the attacks. The International Atomic Energy Agency's director Rafael Grossi has stated that Iran's underground nuclear development has not been compromised at this point. Global military spending up 37% Sabers are rattling. Louder than ever. According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute's Yearbook, published on Monday, world military spending rose by 37 percent in the past decade, and by 9.4 percent last year alone, to $2.7 trillion. That's the largest bump since the early 1990s. China and India are installing nuclear bombs on warheads. That's a change in policy for these countries. China is up to 600 nukes, and North Korea has enough fissile materials for 90 total warheads. Proverbs 21:31 says, “The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.” South Korea's largest homosexual pride parade South Korea is touting its largest homosexual pride parade ever this year. The organizers claim 170,000 participants. South Korea has absorbed western immorality faster than other eastern countries. The proportion of South Koreans holding that homosexuality is never justified decreased from 67% in the 1990s to 24% in the most recent survey. That's even lower than Taiwan -- the most pro-homosexual country in Asia. The Christian faith is falling off by generations in South Korea. At this point, 29% of their elderly people adhere to the Protestant faith, but only 13% of the 18 to 29-year-old age group call themselves Protestant Christians. Psalm 78:9 warns of “The children of Ephraim, being armed and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle. They did not keep the covenant of God; They refused to walk in His law, and forgot His works and His wonders that He had shown them.” The rise of apostacy in America and China Christian apostasy continues to rise across the world. The recent Pew Research report on worldwide religious affiliation found that 35 nations have seen an increase between 2010 and 2020 in atheism or a non-affiliation with a church. And 40 nations have seen a substantial decrease in people aligning themselves with the Christian faith. Of all nations in the world, the United States has the second largest number of atheists or people unaffiliated with a church -- at 100 million people. China has the largest number of atheists or unaffiliated at 1.3 billion. Christians are still in the majority in 60% of the world's nations, while Muslims are in the majority in 26% of the countries. U.S. unemployment 4.2%, but higher for recent college grads Unemployment in the United States is running at 4.2%. But for recent college grads -- ages 22 through 27 -- the rate stands at 5.8% — the highest since 202, according to the US Labor Department. Minnesota political assassin captured Sunday night The gunman, Vance Boelter, wanted in the slaying of a Minnesota lawmaker and her husband, as well as in the shooting of a state senator and his wife, was found Sunday night armed and crawling in a field in a sparsely populated stretch of Minnesota, reports NBC News. Police Chief Mark Bruley of the Brooklyn Park Police Department said it was without a doubt the biggest manhunt in the state's history. Authorities allege Boelter, age 57, who posed as a policeman, tried to kill state Senator John Hoffman, a Democrat, and his wife, Yvette, at their home in Champlin at roughly 2 a.m. Saturday before fatally shooting state Rep. Melissa Hortman, a 55-year-old Democrat, and her husband, Mark, in nearby Brooklyn Park. Boelter was arrested without incident. His motive is still unclear. NBC Chicago reports that police found a manifesto in Boelter's car with the names of 70 politicians including those in Illinois and Wisconsin. Worldview listeners in Georgia and Indiana and share their hearts I invited Worldview listeners to share what they enjoy about the newscast in 2-6 sentences by email. You can share your thoughts — along with your full name, city and state — and send it to adam@TheWorldview.com Max Wood in Macon, Georgia wrote, “Let not your heart be troubled by the slow response this year to your annual fundraising campaign. Americans are more mobile and active this summer than last because of the improved economy. You and the team produce a quality product that blesses many and will, in turn, be blessed by God. Keep the faith. American Miracles don't just happen on movie screens.” And Mary Collins in Elkhart, Indiana wrote, “I LOVE your newscast! Every day in our homeschool, I read the “good news” stories to my kids. I LOVE that you use biblical language; it helps us also think in such terms. I love that I can trust it to be from a Biblical worldview and I don't have to sift through any jargon. I love that I can trust it to be accurate and from God's perspective! I love that sometimes you include interesting things that no other news outlet would even consider. We have sure enjoyed those neat stories. THANK YOU for such a quality way to stay up to date with the world's current events.” 14 Worldview listeners gave $4,982.50 to fund our annual budget And finally, toward our $92,625 goal by this Friday, June 20th to fund three-quarters of The Worldview newscast's annual budget, 14 listeners stepped up to the plate. Our thanks to Cody in Hortense, Georgia who gave $32.50 as well as Braelon in Lincoln, Nebraska, Christina in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, and Joshua in Hortense, Georgia – each of whom gave $50. We're grateful to God for Eric in Tazewell, Virginia and Henry in Tazewell, Virginia –- both of whom gave $100 as well as James in Kennewick, Washington who gave $200, and Richard and LeAnn in Zeeland, North Dakota who gave $300. And we were touched by the generosity of Donovan in Denton, Texas, William in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, and Madilynn in Green City, Missouri – each of whom gave $500, as well as Kathryn in Reddick, Florida who pledged $50 per month for 12 months for a gift of $600, Stephen in California, Maryland who gave $1,000, and Scooter in Naples, Florida who will match Stephen's gift with another $1,000. Those 14 Worldview listeners gave a total of $4,982.50. Ready for our new grand total? Drum roll please. (Drum roll sound effect) $43,874.70 (People clapping and cheering sound effect) Toward this Friday, June 20th's goal of $92,625, we need to raise $48,750.30 Remember, if you are one of the 3 final people who give a one-time gift of $1,000, Scooter in Naples, Florida will match you with a corresponding $1,000 gift. Now, if that happens today, Tuesday, June 17th, we will have raised an additional $6,000. I'm wondering whether you might be one of four Worldview listeners to give $5,000 today. In order to raise the remaining amount, I need to find 23 Worldview listeners who will pledge $50/month for 12 months for a gift of $600. And another 46 listeners to pledge $25/month for 12 months for a gift of $300. Please, we need your help right now! Go to TheWorldview.com and click on Give on the top right. It's Monday, June 16th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Pakistani Christian acquitted of blasphemy against Islam charge Last Thursday, a Pakistani judge acquitted a 28-year-old Christian named Farhan Masih of blasphemy against Islam and terrorism charges after the prosecution failed to prove its case against him, reports Morningstar News. Masih had developed a mental illness due to excessive use of synthetic drugs and was entrapped in the false accusation by the complainant. According to Open Doors, Pakistan is the eighth most difficult country worldwide in which to live for Christians. Dear God, we thank you for enabling Farhan Masih, this Pakistani Christian, to be acquitted. Amen. Israel attacks Iran over atomic weapon; Iran retaliates Israel launched blistering attacks on the heart of Iran's nuclear and military structure Friday, deploying warplanes and drones previously smuggled into the country to assault key facilities and kill top generals and scientists, reports the Associated Press. Israeli Prime Minister Benajmin Netanyahu explained. NETANYAHU: “Moments ago, Israel launched Operation Rising Lion, a targeted military operation to roll back the Iranian threat to Israel's very survival. This operation will continue for as many days as it takes to remove this threat. For decades, the tyrants of Tehran have brazenly, openly called for Israel's destruction. They backed up their genocidal rhetoric with a program to develop nuclear weapons. “In recent years, Iran has produced enough highly enriched uranium for nine atom bombs – nine! In recent months, Iran has taken steps that it has never taken before, steps to weaponize this enriched uranium. If not stopped, Iran could produce a nuclear weapon in a very short time. It could be a year. It could be within a few months.” Iran retaliated by firing waves of ballistic missiles at Israel, where explosions flared in the skies over Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and shook the buildings below. The Israeli military urged civilians to head to shelter, as missiles damaged homes and killed two people. U.S. Senate considers defunding Planned Parenthood In the midst of the U.S. Senate's ongoing debate about the budget, they are determining whether to defund Planned Parenthood, as President Trump has requested, reports Liberty Counsel Action. The situation is fluid and can change at any moment because of the razor-thin margin of votes. Only two weeks remain to get the budget on President Trump's desk. Whether or not your two U.S. Senators are Republicans or Democrats, please call them at 202-224-3121 – any time of the day or night -- and urge them to DEFUND Planned Parenthood. Democratic Minnesota Rep. killed and Minnesota Senator injured in targeted attack A Minnesota Democratic lawmaker and her husband were shot and killed in their home early Saturday by someone posing as a police officer and a second Democratic lawmaker and his wife were wounded in what some have described as “targeted political violence,” reports the Associated Press. Former Democratic House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her spouse were killed in their Brooklyn Park home. The other lawmaker, Democratic State Senator John Hoffman, and his wife, were shot multiple times in Champlin, a suburb of Minneapolis. Bob Jacobson, Minnesota Commissioner of Public Safety, spoke at a press conference. JACOBSON: “This is a dark day today for Minnesota and for democracy, but we will not allow fear or violence to define who we are or how we move forward.” The gunman has been identified as Vance Luther Boelter, whom Democratic Minnesota Governor Tim Walz had previously appointed to the Governor's Workforce Development Council. Christian singer Michael Tait confesses homosexual conduct & drug abuse Last Tuesday, Michael Tait, the former lead singer of the Christian rock band Newsboys and a member of the Grammy-winning group DC Talk, publicly confessed to a history of "reckless and destructive behavior," including drug and alcohol abuse and unwanted sexual conduct involving men, reports The Christian Post. In a written statement on Instagram, the 59-year-old singer acknowledged that the reports are “sadly, largely true." He wrote, "For some two decades, I used and abused cocaine, consumed far too much alcohol, and, at times, touched men in an unwanted sensual way. I am ashamed of my life choices and actions, and make no excuses for them. I will simply call it what God calls it — sin. “I was violating everything I was raised to believe by my God-fearing Dad and Mom, about walking with Jesus and was grieving the very God I loved and sang about for most of my life. By His grace, I can say that for the past six months, I have lived a singular life—one of utter brokenness and total dependence on a loving and merciful God." Tait's confession follows an in-depth investigative report published on June 3rd by The Roys Report documenting that three men accused him of sexual assault during separate incidents dating back to 2004. Tait quoted Psalm 51, King David's famous prayer of repentance: "Blot out my transgressions … create in me a new heart, O God." God-haters upset with 10 Commandments displayed in Arkansas schools A group of God-hating organizations has filed a lawsuit against a recently passed law in Arkansas that requires public schools to display the Ten Commandments on the wall in a 16-inch by 20-inch poster with a font size that makes it easily readable, reports The Christian Post. Americans United for Separation of Church and State, the American Civil Liberties Union, and the Freedom From Religion Foundation filed a complaint on Wednesday on behalf of a religiously diverse group of parents. At issue is Act 573, a measure signed into law by Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders in April and is scheduled to take effect in August. The lawsuit argues that "Act 573 is not neutral with respect to religion." Republican State Senator Jim Dotson, one of the bill's primary sponsors, argued in March that the Decalogue displays were not unconstitutional. He said, "From the state to the federal level all throughout our history, it is an historical reference point or historical document that has basic things like you shall not kill, steal, commit adultery -- those basic foundations of life that are good for everybody to keep front of mind so that we are hopefully living good lives," reports KATV. After God revealed the Ten Commandments to Moses on Mt. Sinai, Exodus 20:20 records Moses telling the Jews, “Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.” Worldview listeners in South Dakota, Colorado, and Indiana share their hearts I invited Worldview listeners to share what they enjoy about the newscast in 2-6 sentences by email. You can share your thoughts -- along with your full name, city and state -- and send it to adam@TheWorldview.com Jason Bollwerk in Rapid City, South Dakota wrote, “I am a homeschooled sophomore in high school, and I listen daily to The Worldview for school. My reason for listening is not only to hear what is happening in the world, but I love hearing about all the good things that God is doing out there. Most media outlets show the dark side of what's going on. But The Worldview really shows what God's doing. Tally ho and pip pip.” Cheryl Ball in Indianapolis, Indiana wrote, “I've been reading the transcript of your newscast every morning since the presidential debates last year. I don't watch the news or read other news. So, this is basically my news input and I'm thankful for it.” And Dennis and Alyssa Guse in Castle Rock, Colorado, said, “Thank you for the faithful work you and The Worldview in 5 Minutes team do for the glory of God! We are blessed to hear relevant news stories and encouraging Scriptures every day. Keep up the great work for the Kingdom!” Dennis asked if I could lead an occasional short prayer for one of the news items. I called him to say that that was a great idea and I would take him up on the suggestion. 17 Worldview listeners gave $6,821 to fund our annual budget And finally, toward our midpoint goal of $61,750 to fund half of The Worldview newscast's annual budget by this past weekend, 17 listeners stepped up to the plate by 1:00pm Central on Saturday. We were only 3 donors short of our 20-donor goal. Our thanks to Augustine in Auburn, California who gave $25 as well as Elisabeth in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and Karen in Waterford, Wisconsin -- both of whom gave $50, and Daniel in Mayflower, Arkansas who pledged $8 per month for 12 months for a gift of $96. We're grateful to God for Leasa in Simpsonville, South Carolina, George in Edinburgh, Indiana, and Woody in Sparks, Nevada – each of whom gave $100 as well as Laura in Millstadt, Illinois and Kerry and Rosana in San Antonio, Texas – both of whom gave $200. Those 17 Worldview listeners gave a total of $6,821. Ready for our new grand total? Drum roll please. (Drum roll sound effect) $38,892.20 (People clapping and cheering sound effect) That means we fell $22,857.80 short of our $61,750 mid-point goal to stay on the air and fund our 6-member Worldview newscast team for another fiscal year. Toward this Friday, June 20th's goal of $92,625, we need to raise $53,732.80. Remember, if you are one of the 4 final people who give a one-time gift of $1,000, Scooter in Naples, Florida will match you with a corresponding $1,000 gift. Now, if that happens today, Monday, June 16th we will have raised an additional $8,000. In order to raise the remaining amount, I need to find 38 Worldview listeners who will pledge $50/month for 12 months for a gift of $600. And another 76 listeners to pledge $25/month for 12 months for a gift of $300. Has God placed it on your heart to be one of the Christian patriots to fund this unparalleled newscast which unashamedly cites relevant Scripture, includes compelling soundbites, and practical action steps to speak out for Biblical principles? (This podcast was previously recorded and published on July 14, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... The wrath of God, the great tribulation, is coming upon this world because of the increase of evil in this present world. The evil we see today is a sign showing us the closeness of the coming of Jesus and the wrath of God that will come at the end of this present world. No man knows exactly when the great tribulation will come or when Jesus will return to gather the elect from off this present earth, but we have signs. When we see the leaves appear on the trees don't we know spring is upon us? Jesus explains to us in Luke 21, that it will be the same today. As the wickedness increases around us and men approve wickedness, this signals the pending wrath of God that will come upon this world. One of the signs is increase of homosexuals, as it was in the day of Sodom before God destroyed Sodom. (Genesis 19) What God says in Bible about homosexuals and lesbians: Romans 1:26-27 ... For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. So we know this is one of the sins which brings the wrath of God in the destruction at the end of this present world. As we see the increase of this sins, we can know the wrath of God is not far away.
It's Thursday, June 12th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Escalating persecution of Christians in Africa International Christian Concern released a new report on the escalating persecution of Christians in Africa. Targeted attacks are increasing in countries with large Christian populations like Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Kenya. The report documented attacks that have killed hundreds of Christians in Africa this year. These attacks not only involve brutal killings, but also abductions and displacement. They are often perpetrated by Islamic militant groups. Please pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ in Africa. Conservatives arrested for protesting transgenderism Belgian police arrested two conservative activists last Thursday in Brussels, Belgium for protesting transgenderism. Lois Miller, a Senior Legal Communications Officer with Alliance Defending Freedom International, was holding a sign that read: “Children are never born in the wrong body.” And Canadian child protection advocate Chris Elston was holding a sign that read: “Children cannot consent to puberty blockers.” The two activists called the police after facing aggressive harassment from bystanders. However, the police decided to arrest Miller and Elston! Listen to comments from Miller. MILLER: “They saw that a mob was formed. They saw that we were in the minority, that we were the ones that were being attacked. And instead of standing up for our rights to have those conversations about really important topics to Belgians everywhere, instead they took us away and they let the mob go free.” Proverbs 17:15 says, “He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.” Progress in U.S.-Chinese trade talks U.S. President Donald Trump announced a preliminary trade deal with China yesterday. Trump said China will provide rare earth minerals and magnets to America and that the U.S. would restart Chinese student visas. U.S. tariffs on imports from China stand at 55 percent, while Chinese tariffs on imports from the U.S. stand at 10 percent. Total tariffs between the two countries reached 245 percent before trade talks began. Congress might repeal pro-abortion Freedom of Access to Clinics Entrances Act The U.S. House Judiciary Committee advanced a bill this week to repeal the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act also known as the FACE Act. The Biden administration used the act to target peaceful, pro-life activists. Between 1994 and 2024, 97 percent of FACE Act prosecutions were against pro-lifers. Republican Rep. Chip Roy of Texas said, “With a Republican-led Congress and President Trump's support, we can repeal this law and protect free speech for all.” Clarification on religious groups story from yesterday We apologize for any confusion from our story yesterday about the growth of religious groups around the world. To clarify, the total number of Christians did increase from 2.1 billion to 2.3 billion between 2010 and 2020. However, as a percentage of the world's population, Christianity actually decreased from 30.6 percent to 28.8 percent over the same time period. You see, even though the number of Christians grew over that decade, it did not grow fast enough to keep up with global population growth, especially the fertility rate of Muslims, and thus Christians decreased as a percentage of the world's population. Religious instruction under public school umbrella Public school students in Iowa can now take courses in religious instruction. Iowan Republican Governor Kim Reynolds signed the bill into law last Friday. The measure allows parents to send their children to religious instruction provided by a private group during the school day. Greg Chafuen, senior counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom, said, “Parents have the right and responsibility to guide the upbringing and education of their children. The government should not stop families from raising their children in their family's faith.” Southern Baptists call for overturn of Obergefell homosexual marriage ruling The Southern Baptist Convention adopted multiple resolutions this week on the topics of marriage, sexuality, and human life. One resolution called for the overturning of the U.S. Supreme Court's Obergefell v. Hodges ruling which legalized faux homosexual marriage. Another resolution called for Congress and state legislatures to ban chemical abortion drugs. And a third resolution called for the banning of pornographic content. Representatives to the Southern Baptist Convention urged, “all Southern Baptists to advocate in the public square for laws and policies that reflect the moral order revealed in Scripture and nature, and to bear witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which alone restores broken lives, redeems sin, and brings eternal hope.” Psalm 119:46 says, “I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.” Worldview listeners in England, Canada and Texas share their hearts I invited Worldview listeners to share what they enjoyed about the newscast in 2-6 sentences. You can share your thoughts -- along with your full name, city and state -- and send it to adam@theworldview.com Dan from Gloucestershire, England wrote, “Hi Adam. I love The Worldview for the information you share and how you relate a couple of your stories to the Bible with specific verses. Keep up the good work.” Priscilla Lipp in Calgary, Alberta, Canada wrote, “I enjoy getting a snippet of world news from a Christian perspective. Refreshing, with reports I won't hear on Canadian mainstream media. My husband, several grown children, and a neighboring couple have also signed up.” And Patricia Herbst – on behalf of Luis, Tricia, Natalie, Nichole, and Luciano -- in Kyle, Texas wrote, “I want to thank you for the incredible blessing your ministry has been to our family. “Through your curriculum, app, and daily broadcasts, we've been consistently enriched with wisdom, truth, and discipleship. My husband, children, and I are growing in faith because of your efforts. You are truly a gift from God, and we're so grateful for your faithfulness.” 7 Worldview listeners gave $815 to fund our annual budget And finally, toward our midpoint goal of $61,750 to fund half of The Worldview newscast's annual budget by this Friday, June 13th, 7 listeners stepped up to the plate. Our thanks to Tim in Woodland, California who gave $25 and Julie in Victoria, Texas who gave $40. We appreciate Kitty in Tulare, California, Linda in Tampa, Florida, and Daniel in Evansville, Indiana – each of whom gave $50. And we're grateful to God for Ryan in Brighton, Colorado who gave $100, Steven in Rest, South Carolina who gave $200, and Alex in Greenwood, Indiana who pledged $25/month for 12 months for a gift of $300. Those 7 Worldview listeners gave a total of $815. Ready for our new grand total? Drum roll please. (Drum roll sound effect) $24,565.20 (People clapping sound effect) That means we still need to raise $37,134.80 by midnight on Friday, June 13th to hit the half-way mark, to stay on the air, and fund our 6-member Worldview newscast team for another fiscal year. Remember If you are one of 8 final people who give a one-time gift of $1,000, Scooter in Naples, Florida will match you with a corresponding $1,000 gift. If that happens on Thursday, we will have raised $16,000. In order to raise the remaining amount, I need to find 17 Worldview listeners who will pledge $50/month for 12 months for a gift of $600. And another 32 listeners to pledge $25/month for 12 months for a gift of $300. Has God placed it on your heart to be one of the Christian patriots to fund this unparalleled newscast which affirms pre-born babies, God's divine design for our sexuality, and often equips you with practical ways you can take a stand for righteousness in an evil culture? Please, we need your help right now! Go to TheWorldview.com and click on Give on the top right. Click on the button that indicates a recurring donation if you want to give monthly. Is it possible that we might double our daily donors from 20 to 40 on Thursday? Let's see what the Lord will do. It's Tuesday, June 3rd, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Indonesian boy killed for his Christian faith An 8-year-old Indonesian boy in the Seberida district was killed for his faith in Jesus on May 19th, reports International Christian Concern. Indonesia is an 87% Muslim country. The boy, publicly named as K.B., was beaten to death by five older Muslim boys. Pastor Piet, of the GPDI Solagracia church where the family worshipped, remembers him as a child who was “diligent in Sunday school, often participating in Bible quizzes, and often winning.” His father said, “He was my first child. My second child is a girl. He was a good and strong child. He dreamed of becoming a soldier. I used to want to become a soldier, but I didn't. That's why I wanted him to become a soldier.” Psalm 116:15 says, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” Polish voters elect conservative president After a national election over the weekend, Poland will join a growing group of Western nations moving to the right of center -- more nationalistic, more supportive of traditional values, and more opposed to the internationalism of the day. A former boxer and historian, Mr. Karol Nawrocki, won the presidential election by a close vote of 50.9% to 49.1%. Nawrocki had been endorsed by President Donald Trump. Nawrocki quoted 2 Chronicles 7:14, stating that God would “heal the land” if they would “turn away from wicked ways, reports the Associated Press.” The conservative edge in Poland has stood firm against pro-abortion policies and pro-European Union trends over the last five years. That will appear to continue with the Nawrocki administration. Poland will join the United States, Argentina, Hungary, and Italy, as nations that have moved in a conservative direction over the last few election cycles. GOP Senate fiscal hawks balking at price tag of Trump's Bill President Donald Trump's Big Beautiful Federal Spending Bill is heading to the U.S. Senate. But several Republican senators are balking at the price tag, including Senators Rand Paul of Kentucky and Josh Hawley of Missouri, reports Liberty Counsel Action. GOP Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin is proposing that at least $838 billion be cut from federal spending to reduce government expenditures from 23.3% to 20.6% of the gross national income. This would reduce government to the relative size of the economy in 2019 before the COVID crisis. In other words, Senator Johnson is simply requesting that government be reduced to pre-pandemic levels. Presently, the Congressional Budget Office is estimating that President Trump's Big Beautifull Bill will add another $22 trillion to the $37 trillion of federal debt — putting the U.S. debt at 134% of the Gross Domestic Product by 2035. Japan and United States have weak bond auctions The leading Keynesian governments in the world are having a hard time getting people to fund their debt. Japan's bond auction yielded the weakest demand since the 2010 recession. The U.S. bond auction last week was extremely weak, resulting in 30-year bond interest to bump up to 5.15% — the highest rate since 2007. Ukrainian drone attack took out one-third Russian's long-range bombers Ukraine dispatched a drone attack deep into Russia, hitting some key military sites over the weekend. The bombings have reportedly taken out more than one-third of Russia's long range bombers, crippling Russia's nuclear capabilities. Homosexual pride marches have lost up to 50% of sponsorship The licentious elements of society are celebrating their pride month in June. Slate.com reports a reduction in corporate sponsorships of the homosexual/transgender pride marches in the U.S. Some have lost 40-50% of the corporate monies they have received in previous years. Plus, companies like Comcast, Anheuser-Busch, and Smirnoff have dropped Pride sponsorships altogether. The firm Booz Allen Hamilton pulled sponsorships, referring to the president's executive orders -- one of which prohibits the U.S. government from contracting with companies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. The World Pride event is taking place in Washington D.C. this year, the first time in the United States since the New York City event in 2019. The larger sponsors of homosexual/transgender Pride events like World Pride include Hilton, Delta Airlines, Amazon, IKEA, Verizon, Corona, Fresca, and Starbucks. Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, and Kroger are also supporting homosexual events this year. 1 John 2:16 and 17 speaks of lust and pride. It says, “All that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” Focus on the Family targeted for affirming God's design for sexuality Focus on the Family is being targeted by the Southern Poverty Law Center for its opposition to homosexual behavior and gender transition for youths. The leftist group was particularly outraged with Jim Daly's more recent interviews of Rosaria Butterfield, and an interview of Walt Heyer and Kathy Grace Duncan. These were Christians who have repented of sins of homosexual behavior and transgenderism. The Southern Poverty Law Center has been notorious for conflating Christian groups with Neo-Nazi and racist groups in the United States, and promoting persecution of Christians. Other ministries on their list include Family Research Council, Liberty Council, Coral Ridge Ministries, Alliance Defending Freedom, and Generations. Abortion Kill Pill creator died at 98 A French scientist, responsible for the deaths of 50 million babies, himself died last week at 98 years of age. Étienne-Émile Baulieu was instrumental in the development of the abortion kill pill, RU-486, in 1980. About half of abortions in developed nations have been conducted by the abortion pill since the 2010s. Today, chemical abortion accounts for 63% of all abortions in America. The BBC reports that French President Emmanuel Macron, called Dr Baulieu "a beacon of courage" and "a progressive mind who enabled women to win their freedom." 6 Worldview donors gave $730 And finally, toward this week's $30,875 goal to fund The Worldview newcast by this Friday, June 6th, six listeners stepped up to the plate. Our thanks to Daniel in San Luis Potosí, Mexico who gave $5, Kimberly in Sacramento, California who gave $25, and Deborah in Cosmopolis, Washington who gave $50. We're also grateful to God for Keith and Marsha in Morgan, Colorado who gave $100, Genita in Bardstown, Kentucky who gave $250, and Frances in Beacon, New York who pledged $25/month for 12 months for a gift of $300. Ready for our total? Drum roll please. (Drum roll sound effect) $730 (People clapping sound effect) That means by this Friday, we need to raise $30,145. I received an intriguing text from a friend in Michigan. She suggested that I ask if someone would prayerfully consider underwriting half of our entire budget. That would be $61,750. Or perhaps you could cover the $30,145 that we need to raise this week. But, alas if those big dollar amounts are not remotely possible, every $25 and $50 donation gets us incrementally closer to being fully funded. Just go to TheWorldview.com and click on Give on the top right. I would love to see 20 people make donations on this, our second day. Consider making a monthly pledge by clicking on the recurring donation tab. Let's see what the Lord will do as The Worldview in 5 Minutes proclaims the truth in a world of pagan-biased news. It's Tuesday, May 6th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Chinese Communists intensifying regulation of churches Christian Daily Korea reports that communist China intensified its regulation of Christian churches effective May 1st. The additional regulations will place controls on missions, Christian education, fundraising, and religious activities over the internet. Specifically, many South Korean missionaries have already been expelled or denied visas under China's increasingly aggressive crackdown since 2017. South Korean election coming up The South Korean election is planned for June 3rd. A professing Christian, former Prime Minister Han Duck-Soo, is running as an independent in the race. His wife, Choi Ah-young, is a fourth generation Christian. Her father is an elder. And her great grandfather founded a number of churches during the Japanese colonial period of the 1920s and 1930s. Han's entry heats up the scramble among conservatives to unify behind a candidate to compete with liberal front-runner Lee Jae-myung, whose campaign recently was set back by a court decision to open a new trial on election law violation charges, reports ABC News. 106,745 Russian soldiers and 60,000 Ukrainian soldiers have died Since the start of the Russian-Ukrainian War, 106,745 Russian soldiers have been killed. The last year was the most deadly, with a reported loss of 45,287 Russian lives. Ukrainian casualty numbers vary widely — with as many as 13,000 civilians and 60,000 soldiers counted among the dead. Australia lurches left like Canada Following the Canadian election which tipped towards the anti-God, secular humanist, progressive side, Australia did the same thing over the weekend. The liberal Labor Party has secured at least 86 seats in parliament, up from 77 in its last go around. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is set for his second three-year term in power. Muslims have six kids on average compared to low fertility of others The global birth rate is crossing the 2.2 children-per-woman mark, crossing over the replacement level of 2.1.That's down from 5.3 children per woman in 1963 worldwide. World Bank data points to the Muslim-heavy nations of Somalia, Chad, Niger, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo with the highest fertility rates exceeding six children per woman. Countries with the lowest birth rates below 1.0 child per woman include South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Chile, and Puerto Rico. Eastern Europe is seeing the steepest declines in birth rates. Deuteronomy 28:15-18 reminds us of God's dealings with nations: “But if you will not obey the voice of the Lord your God or be careful to do all His commandments and His statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you. Cursed shall you be in the field. Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Cursed shall be the fruit of your womb.” Oil becoming less expensive World oil prices have sunk to $57 per barrel — about the same price as it was in 1987. The average gas price in the United States is $3.26 per gallon, down from $3.76 per gallon last summer. Disney pushes homosexual scene in “Star Wars Andor” Disney has incorporated a prominent homosexual scene in its latest episode of Star Wars Andor. This marks another milestone in the ongoing homosexualization of Disney, with the scene marking the first prominent display of homosexuality for featured characters. Disney has increased its revenues to $91 billion per year, and has registered another 5% increase in its first quarter in 2025. Overall revenues for the entertainment company are up about 20% since the pro-homosexual organization entered into a conflict with Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis. Levi Strauss and Disney were the first companies to provide benefits to homosexual employees between 1992 and 1995. Conservative Presbyterians growing and Liberal Presbyterians fading The Presbyterian Church in America, the largest conservative Calvinist denomination in the United States, is registering its highest number of members in its 51-year history — topping 400,700 this year. Offerings were up 7.4%, year-over-year, according to stats just released by the denomination. Another conservative denomination, the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, registers 33,520 members, growing at a rate of 3% per year. Meanwhile, the more liberal PCUSA church membership has dropped off from 3.1 million to 1.1 million over the last 40 years. Warren Buffet gave $8.4 billion to fund abortion And finally, Warren Buffett has announced his retirement from Berkshire Hathaway, as Chief Executive, effective January 1st. The 94-year-old Buffett is currently listed as the sixth richest man in the world behind Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Larry Ellison, and Bernard Arnault of France. Buffett's foundations have provided $8.4 billion to pro-abortion groups like Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation. Plus, Buffett was a major supporter of the “RU-486” abortion kill pill. Forbes reports that other major pro-abortion billionaire donors include: Mackenzie Scott (Amazon's Jeff Bezos's ex-wife), the Bill Gates Foundation, the Hewlett Family, Michael Bloomberg, and George Soros. But now, take comfort in these words from Isaiah 49: 24-26. The prophet asks, “Can the prey be taken from the mighty or the captives of a tyrant be rescued? For thus says the Lord: ‘Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken, and the prey of the tyrant be rescued, for I will contend with those who contend with you, and I will save your children. I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh, and they shall be drunk with their own blood as with wine. Then all flesh shall know that I am the Lord your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.'” Close And that's The Worldview on this Tuesday, May 6th, in the year of our Lord 2025. It's Friday, May 2nd, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Pakistan's record 344 blasphemy cases against Islam A human rights watchdog group chronicled a record 344 new so-called “blasphemy” cases in the 96 percent-Muslim country of Pakistan in 2024, highlighting increased abuse of the country's condemned blasphemy laws, reports Morning Star News. The top three categories include “hurting of religious sentiments,” “desecration of the Quran,” and “disrespecting [their false prophet] Muhammad.” Of the 344 new blasphemy cases, 70 percent of the accused were Muslims, 6 percent were Christians, 9 percent Hindus, and 14 percent Ahmadis, according to the Annual Human Rights Observer report issued by the Center for Social Justice. Between 1994 and 2024, the report stated that at least 104 persons in Pakistan accused of so-called “blasphemy” were executed extra-judicially. Mike Waltz out as National Security Adviser Mike Waltz is out as President Donald Trump's national security adviser and is instead his new nominee for ambassador to the United Nations in a major shake-up of Trump's national security team, reports USA Today. On May 1, Trump said that Waltz was leaving his White House post, confirming a departure that was reported hours earlier amid the continued fallout after Waltz accidentally invited a journalist into a messaging chat in which top national security officials discussed plans for Yemen airstrikes. United States and Ukraine sign rare earth metals agreement On April 30th, the United States and Ukraine finally signed the minerals deal that was delayed by the now-infamous Oval Office exchange between the U.S. and Ukrainian presidents two months ago, reports The Epoch Times. With China continuing to tighten its grip on critical minerals after the imposition of U.S. tariffs, control of so-called “rare earth metals”—essential for the production of electric vehicles, wind turbines, and smartphones—is becoming ever more important. One challenge is that 20 percent of Ukraine's mineral resources, including about half its rare earth elements deposits, are in areas under Russian occupation. The agreement stipulates that future American military assistance to Ukraine will count as part of the U.S. investment into the fund, rather than calling for reimbursement for past assistance. Jewish author David Horowitz, defender of Christians, has died On April 29th, conservative Jewish author David Horowitz died at the age of 86, reports NewsMax.com. His story is one of a self-proclaimed former Marxist who had "second thoughts" on Leftist ideology and became a conservative stalwart and a fierce defender of religion and President Donald Trump. In fact, Trump used the title of Horowitz's book Final Battle: The Next Election Could Be the Last to make it a prevailing theme in hundreds of Trump campaign rallies leading up to his 2024 re-election. In Final Battle, Horowitz had predicted the leftists, so fearful of Trump's return to the White House, would stop at nothing, including indictments against the former president. The effort backfired, as Trump's campaign raised millions off the indictments and would ultimately knock out the Biden family dynasty and defeat replacement candidate Kamala Harris in the 2024 election. Horowitz's books often dealt with his conversion to become a Republican during Reagan's administration, the fight from the Left against religion, and the Left's seeking to destroy America. A practicing Jew, Horowitz said one of the most important books he wrote was entitled Dark Agenda: The War to Destroy Christian America—which detailed the Left's war on Christianity, which, he warned, would lead to making the religion illegal and open for persecution. Psalm 27:1 should be the guiding verse of all Christians who are persecuted worldwide. “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?” Companies bolt from Homosexual Pride Month And finally, two years after transgender Dylan Mulvaney's catastrophic undoing of Bud Light, June's over-the-top sexual perversion celebration—at least as a wholesale business concept—is dead, reports The Washington Stand. For most CEOs, it's been a year of unprecedented realignment. Dozens of major brands are following up on their commitments to drop Diversity Equity Inclusion, and leftist political causes, prompting them to drop sponsorships of June's marquee events. The first warning shots were fired in March, when organizers of the San Francisco Homosexual Pride Parade confessed that they were having trouble hanging on to corporate sponsors. The signature event in America's Homosexual-Transgender Paradise has already lost $300,000! Among those who pulled back were big-time names like Comcast, Anheuser-Busch, and Guinness/Smirnof. Plus, at major Homosexual-Transgender Pride events across New York City, St. Louis, and Washington, D.C., gun-shy businesses are running for the exits. According to the Wall Street Journal, Mastercard, PepsiCo, Nissan, Citibank, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Darcars Automotive Group are opting out of major sponsorships altogether. Most businesses are even asking to have their names and logos removed “from official displays and apparel.” More executives have decided it's financial suicide to team up in any meaningful way with June's in-your-face celebration. In fact, 39 percent of corporate leaders plan to decrease their observance of Homosexual-Transgender Pride this year, according to Gravity Research. The result? A massive shortfall in funds for Homosexual Pride-fests on both coasts. Bloomberg noted six in ten “point to President Donald Trump's policies regarding transgenderism and diversity, equity and inclusion as a driver. Almost 40% of all firms raised concerns over criticism from conservatives and customers.” Appearing on Washington Watch, Will Hild, executive director of Consumers' Research, is delighted. HILD: “I couldn't have asked for more. It's been such an incredible whirlwind of pushback and Executive Orders on the entire DEI-grift complex. So, I think it's been fantastic. We've seen what this is doing to the federal government, but I'm hopeful over the next 100 days, we're going to start to see this trickle through to the for-profit sector, the corporate sector.” Hild had a word for Christians and conservatives as well. HILD: “I think conservatives tend to only think of their power being in terms of their wallet. In other words, if they don't like a company, what they're doing, they just won't shop there. “They spend millions upon millions of dollars trying to figure out why people shop at Target or Walmart or go to a different place. It's a lot easier when you send an email or call somebody and say, ‘I don't appreciate this thing.' We saw this with Target. We saw this with Budweiser. It went viral on social media. “Say something both to the company and say something on social media because they track that kind of thing. So, I would say, use both your wallet and use your voice.” Sign up to receive a weekly text message from Consumers' Research that will alert you to a different woke company which you can email or call. Ephesians 5:11 says, “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, May 2nd, in the year of our Lord 2025. Pastor Josh McPherson sits down with Pastor Kyle Strong to share Kyle's powerful testimony of growing up with a gay mom, navigating emotional abandonment, and ultimately finding redemption and purpose in Christ. Building on last week's sermon on homosexuality from the “Lies We Believe” series, both pastors discuss advice for those with relatives living in homosexuality and what to do when you get invited to a gay "wedding" as a Christian. You'll hear how the gospel offers both truth and grace, how God's holiness intersects with brokenness, and how redemption is always possible—no matter how deep the pain or sin.Whether you're personally wrestling with these issues or walking alongside someone who is, this episode offers clarity, hope, and biblical courage.Sunday's sermon on YT - Lies We Believe About Homosexuality: https://youtu.be/2fAkJK1JXmATo submit questions about sex, singleness, & marriage, follow the link for Josh to answer on a future podcast: https://us10.list-manage.com/survey?u=e56b1c573d4107e366e1696df&id=054358ea35Support the showThanks for listening! Today:Marc Dunkelman argues the abject failure of progressive politics to get things done played a role in the rise of Trumpism. He joins to discuss his book “Why Nothing Works: Who Killed Progress – and How to Bring It Back.”And, despite their name, there's actually very little that we know about the mating habits of the majestic humpback whale. We talk about the first recorded mating observance of the humpback, between two male whales, with naturalist Sy Montgomery.
La esquina del bochinche se ha convertido en toda una avenida. Y como a este par no le gusta regar chismes, nos juntamos con nuestra chismosa favorita, Aldo, para contarles de todos ustedes . Heath Lambert addresses a sensitive pastoral qualification question: Does having an adult child who identifies as homosexual or enters a same-sex marriage disqualify someone from pastoral ministry? Learn what Scripture teaches about pastoral qualifications and family responsibility.TIMESTAMPS:0:00 Introduction to Marked by Grace podcast0:12 Today's question: Do homosexual kids disqualify a pastor?0:36 Context and clarification of the question1:03 Understanding the intersection of pastoral qualifications and family issues1:38 First principle: Pastors are disqualified for their sins, not others'2:17 Biblical basis: 1 Timothy 3:4-5 on managing households2:40 Reference to previous episode (January 20) on related topic2:55 Adult children vs. children in the home - important distinction3:29 How we should evaluate a pastor with an adult child in a homosexual relationship4:01 What actually matters: How did the pastor raise the child?4:27 The importance of the pastor's current response - truth and love4:50 Reference to other episodes addressing complex family situations5:09 Conclusion: Adult children's sins don't disqualify pastorsKEY POINTS:- Scripture doesn't require pastors to keep their adult children sin-free- Pastors are evaluated on how they manage their household, not on controlling adult children's choices- The distinction between children living at home and adult children is biblically significant- A pastor's response to an adult child's sin should balance truth and love- The same principles apply to homosexuality as to any other sin in an adult child's life- Pastoral qualification depends on the pastor's faithfulness, not on their adult children's actionsSubmit your questions for future episodes to markedbyGrace@fbcjax.comSCRIPTURE REFERENCES:1 Timothy 3:4-5 - "He [the pastor] must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive, and if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God's church?"
