words to describe this 30-minute experience hosted by Dr. Nicole Mason. Understanding the need to create a “safe space” for trailblazing women, this show is an extension of the work that Dr. Nicole does with high-achieving women. If you are a woman working in a male-dominated field or an African American woman working in a “majority” environment, this show is designed specifically with you in mind. Guests will offer strategies for success, how to deal with micro-aggressions, understanding unconscious bias, and more; but more importantly, how to rise above the fray with excellence! You will leave every episode ready to “Show Up Great, Speak Up With Confidence, and Stand Out With Courage”.
Municipality is our theme this week, as Jim and Mark look at bit at the origins of local government in the US, and interview 3 democratic socialists elected to the city councils in Missoula and Billings. Denise Joy was re-elected in Billings despite an extreme right-wing smear campaign. Daniel Carlino was elected to a Missoula City Council seat after a very close campaign against a liberal Democrat. And Kristen Jordan won her seat in Missoula on criminal justice reform. They discuss the ways municipal government can and can't change things for working class people for the better, and what they plan to do in their terms in office. We also look at the massive victory of farmers' unions in India against the neoliberal policies of the government.

“I wanted to know, how did women have 13 children?.. How did people take care of their children when they fell down and broke their arms way back in the Middle Ages? People have had these things going on ever since the beginning of time and they’ve dealt with it. They’ve figured how they could use plants in different ways to make life easier and better and they could become more resilient.” Today we listen in on a class given by EagleSong Gardener at the 2018 Northwest Herb Symposium. She discusses everything from plant allies oatstraw and calendula to the questions that have driven her in lifelong learning.
