And we look at one of the primary ways the bird flu is spreading and the subsequent price gouging by the industrial egg producers. We then close with a discussion about the end of the US empire through the writings of Chris Hedges.

We glance at another Starbucks being organized in Missoula and explore what the United Autoworkers demand from the Big 3 automakers and the prospect of a strike in September. Finally we look at some good changes in labor law by the NLRB. We rerun our interview of David Van Deusen, President of the Vermont AFL-CIO, from last year's Labor Day show.
