Turning 54 and still feeling 30—David and Londa unpack how to design a life you don't need to escape from, blending meaningful work, creativity, and memories that actually matter. In this birthday edition of The Session with Londa and David, the duo reflect on midlife, relationships, and the kind of work that fuels rather than drains you. Over breakfast stories and real estate hustle, they explore how to design a life you don't need a vacation from. They emphasize presence, gratitude, and creating foundational memories. 3 Business Takeaways: 1. Design your life first, then your work around it – Build a career structure you don't feel the need to escape from. 2. Relationships are a real business asset – The memories and experiences you create with clients and loved ones deepen trust and long-term loyalty. 3. Side projects fuel your brand – Creative pursuits (like David's children's books) reinforce your story, differentiate your personal brand, and connect with people beyond the transaction. #DesignYourLife #MidlifeMomentum #RelationshipDrivenBusiness #RealEstateMindset #PurposeOverVacation

In this episode of Memoirs of an LDS Servant Podcast, Maurice Harker introduces a powerful concept: you don't drift into a meaningful life—you design it intentionally.Centered on the idea of “composing your life,” this episode teaches how to move from reacting to circumstances → actively creating a life built on purpose, identity, and growth. Maurice explains how vision, identity statements, and intentional planning work together to help you move away from unwanted behaviors and toward a more meaningful, even “miraculous,” way of living. You'll also learn how to use principles like beginning with the end in mind and seeking to be part of miracles as a framework for building a life you actually want.

In this Thursday mini-dare, Michelle shares a deeply personal update and a powerful life design tool to help you reimagine your future. After two years of running She Who Dares Wins alongside a part-time construction job, Michelle finally took the leap and quit the role that was quietly draining her energy and keeping her tied to an industry that no longer served her. That decision led her back to a note she'd written in a old notebook: the Odyssey method.Originally developed at Stanford's Life Design Lab by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans, the Odyssey method is a practical, science-backed way to imagine and design multiple possible futures – not just one “perfect” path.In this episode, Michelle walks you through:Why she quit her part-time construction job and how it freed up energy for a life that feels more alignedWhat the Odyssey method is and how it links to manifestation, neuroplasticity, and the way our brains spot new opportunitiesThe problem with chasing one perfect plan and how functional fixedness keeps us stuckHow to sketch out three 5-year life paths:Path 1: Your current life, but the A+ versionPath 2: The pivot path if your current industry disappearedPath 3: The wild card path you'd choose if money, fear, and other people's opinions didn't matterThe four questions to rate each path: resources, likeability, confidence, and coherence with your valuesHow Michelle's own “path three” led to the podcast, studio, film work, and clothing range that built She Who Dares WinsThis week's dare:Spend 15 minutes a day sketching out your three Odyssey paths. Most men spend years gathering the right information, waiting for the perfect moment, and convincing themselves the stakes are too high to act. Gregory Russell Benedikt ran a different experiment — 100 consecutive days of deliberately seeking rejection from strangers. What the data showed is almost impossible to believe: out of 100 attempts, only one interaction went genuinely negative. The rest? Laughter, connection, viral moments, and a relationship with the woman he'd spend the next three years with. This episode is a direct challenge to the logic-first framework most high-achieving men have been operating from their entire adult lives.Gregory and Brandon break down why the no you're afraid of is almost never about you, why the real cost of inaction is staying exactly where you are, and how 'courageous connection' is the actual mechanism behind every bold outcome Gregory has experienced — from co-founding a nonprofit with a stranger he met online to walking across a crowded restaurant to introduce himself to a woman sitting with another man. They also dig into Ikigai, the Japanese framework for life purpose built on four intersections — what you love, what you're good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for — and why community, not coaching or therapy alone, may be the most underrated accelerant available to men right now.If you've been sitting on a gift, a business idea, a conversation you haven't started, or a life that doesn't quite fit — this episode is your signal to stop collecting information and start implementing your flawed plan. In this episode of Reiki from the Farm™, we explore what it truly means to design your life from your highest truth — not from fear, habit, or expectation.Inspired by a simple but profound exercise, we ask:What will your life look like in 5 years if nothing changes? What remains if everything falls away? And what becomes possible if there are no limits?I'll share a moment from the shoreline — watching two ducks floating effortlessly above crashing waves — a reminder that even in times of chaos, polarization, and uncertainty, we can choose to rise above and ride the energy rather than be consumed by it.This episode is set against a potent, energetic backdrop:A 1 Universal Year, calling us into new beginnings and bold creationPlanets moving direct, bringing momentum and forward motionThe Sun illuminating truth while Neptune dissolves illusionOld identities fading, as the truth of who we are becoming comes into lightIt's not a time for spiritual bystanding. This is a moment to:Live and lead from the heartExpress your work and your life from your divine truthRelease who you were, and step fully into who you are becomingI'll guide you through reflective exercises and a Reiki meditation to:Access the field of infinite possibilityRelease internal and energetic obstaclesAnchor into the future you are here to createIncluding a powerful question: What do you want your life — and your legacy — to stand for? What you choose, create, and embody between now and mid-April will help form the energetic foundation for your year ahead.______Pam Allen-LeBlanc is a scientist, businesswoman, and Licensed Reiki Master Teacher (LRMT) with the International Center for Reiki Training.Get in Touch with Pam:pam@reikifromthefarm.comwww.reikifromthefarm.comRegister for our newsletter! In this episode, Laura is joined by Dr. Cornelia Shipley-Bearyman, Founder & CEO of 3C Consulting, to explore what it means to intentionally cast your future, not just react to your present. Drawing from her work in leadership, culture transformation, and her recent PhD in metaphysics, Dr. Cornelia breaks down how our mindset, language, and belief systems shape the realities we experience, both personally and professionally. She invites listeners to consider how the way we think, speak, and interpret our circumstances directly influences what becomes possible in our lives. Together, Laura and Dr. Cornelia explore how many Black women have been conditioned to center survival, resilience, and overperformance; and how that conditioning can quietly limit our vision for what's possible. Through a powerful reframing, this episode challenges listeners to move from reactive survival to intentional creation. At the heart of the conversation is Dr. Cornelia's belief: "You will see what you say." She unpacks how language acts as a shaping force and how small shifts in how we speak about ourselves, our work, and our future can open new pathways for growth, opportunity, and alignment. Aligned with Season 8's theme Leaning Into Joy, this episode invites listeners to reclaim authorship over their future by grounding in intention, expanding their thinking, and reconnecting to the internal power that shapes external outcomes. About Dr. Cornelia Dr. Cornelia Shipley Bearyman is the Founder and CEO of 3C Consulting, where she advises senior leaders and HR teams on building accountable, inclusive cultures that drive sustainable performance. She brings over two decades of executive and advisory experience working with Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, and governing bodies on culture transformation, leadership capacity, and systemic inclusion. Today's episode will change how you think about your entire life. Because today you're meeting a top cancer surgeon who's going to help you think about one of life's big questions - the kind you don't usually ask yourself because you're just too busy: What really matters in life? Maybe you've been feeling off. Like you're doing a lot… but you're not sure it's the right stuff. Maybe you're craving clarity… what to focus on and what to stop wasting your time on. Well that's the kind of guidance you're getting today. In this powerful conversation Mel is sitting down with Dr. Rahul Jandial, MD, PhD - a world-renowned cancer neurosurgeon and neuroscientist - who has treated and operated on more than 15,000 stage 4 cancer patients at the end of their lives. So in this conversation, you'll hear what becomes clear when time is running out: - What people wish they'd done sooner - What they wish they'd stopped caring about - What matters - and what never mattered at all - And the number one regret he hears from his patients again and again You'll also learn why so many of us wait until it's almost too late to start living the life we want… and how to change that - starting today. Dr. Jandial is the Medical Director of Neurosurgical Oncology and Skull Base Surgery at City of Hope in Los Angeles, one of the leading cancer centers in the world. He operates on brain cancers and spinal tumors in both adults and children, and directs a research lab focused on developing cutting-edge neuroscience and cancer treatments. Dr. Jandial has also lived through unbelievable twists and turns - from college dropout, to security guard, to becoming one of the most respected surgeons in the world - and today he shares what reinventing his life taught him about going after more and trusting yourself. In this episode, he will teach you how to find your footing again and build the kind of strength that will get you through any setback. What Dr. Jandial reveals in this episode is something he's never shared on any podcast. In this episode, you'll learn: - A simple daily practice that helps you remain steady, no matter what's happening - How to handle bad news without spiraling or panicking - What to do first when you're overwhelmed and don't know what to focus on - How to bet on yourself even when other people don't understand it - How to stop waiting for “someday” and start showing up more fully right now This conversation will shift your mindset so you stop waiting for ‘someday' and start showing up more fully right now. Because once you hear it, you'll see your life and the world differently. For more resources related to today's episode, click here for the podcast episode page. Episode Overview In this powerful conversation, John Kitchens sits down with Dan Hilsman to unpack a journey that every real estate agent and leader can relate to—hitting ceilings, rebuilding confidence, redefining success, and discovering that clarity is the real catalyst for growth. From selling 21 homes a year as a solo agent to building a massive organization inside eXp Realty, Dan shares the mindset shifts, leadership lessons, and painful pivots that shaped his evolution. This isn't a highlight reel. It's a real conversation about setbacks, faith, discipline, and the internal work required to become the person capable of sustaining success. If you've ever felt stuck at a plateau… If you've ever struggled with confidence while leading others… If you're chasing growth but unsure what's missing… This episode will challenge you to get radically clear. Because success doesn't follow hustle. Success follows clarity. Key Topics Covered 1. From 21 Deals to Scalable Growth Why doubling production isn't always the right goal The mistake of prescribing growth without understanding someone's vision The difference between pushing an agenda vs. serving someone's goals 2. Managing Agreements vs. Managing Expectations The leadership shift that changed everything Why clarity in agreements builds trust and momentum How misalignment quietly destroys growth 3. The Rock in the Shoe: Solving the Real Constraint Dan's repeated struggle with FLQA and organizational depth Why true growth comes from addressing constraints—not avoiding them The discipline of staying focused on the real bottleneck 4. The Power of Designing Your Life The exercise of writing down 100 things you want Why experiences matter more than possessions Becoming the person capable of sustaining what you desire The subconscious impact of clarity on daily decisions 5. Leadership Without Ego Leading even during personal setbacks Helping others solve 80% so they can own the last 20% Creating win-win "angles" that serve both parties Why sincerity and service outperform tactics 6. Pain, Pleasure & Decision Making Why people only move when pain or pleasure is strong enough The power of a full decision vs. partial commitment Filtering every action through one question: "Does this move me toward the goal?" Powerful Takeaways You can likely design far more of your life than you think. Most growth happens in the losses—not the wins. Clarity about who you must become is more important than what you want to achieve. A full decision removes friction and accelerates momentum. Leadership starts with sincerity and self-awareness. As Dan puts it: "You probably have way more in you than you're currently operating at. The life you have right now? You designed it. So design the next version on purpose." Final Thought You don't rise to your goals. You rise to the level of the person you become. Get clear on who that person is. Then move. Success will follow. What does it mean to design a legacy — not just through buildings, but through the lives they shape? In this episode of Design Your Life, Vince sits down with architect Koos de Keijzer, founding director of DKO, to explore how culture, travel and values influence the way we design — and the way we live. Raised in a Dutch household in New Zealand and trained in the Netherlands, Koos developed an early belief that architecture is deeply human, collaborative and grounded in place. Listen in as Vince and Koos discuss leadership without ego, why finding the best idea matters more than owning it, and why the future of architecture lies beyond iconic towers — in the everyday suburbs where most people live. From mentoring the next generation to embracing simplicity, sustainability and long-term thinking, Koos reflects on what it really means to design work — and a life — that lasts. https://dko.com.au/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Ever felt like you've been running someone else's race? If so, this episode is your permission slip to finally design your life in a way that fits who you are now, not who you were a decade ago. STEPPING GENTLY INTO 2026: PAUSE, REFLECT, AND PREPARE Happy New Year, my friends! It feels so good to be back. As 2026 begins, you might be noticing a quiet stillness - a feeling that the year hasn't quite arrived, that you're not ready to rush forward just yet. This is a beautiful time to slow down, to shed what no longer serves you, and to get clear on how you truly want to feel. For me, it's been about noticing patterns, releasing old habits, and gently tuning in to what brings ease, joy, and creativity. Before the year picks up pace, take a moment with me: What do you need to let go of? How do you want your days to feel as you step into 2026? THE YEAR OF THE SNAKE: SHEDDING AND STILLNESS This period has been about noticing what no longer serves me: physical clutter, teaching habits, limiting beliefs, and thought patterns. I'm shedding. And the idea of starting the year at full gallop doesn't feel right just yet. There's power in pausing, observing, and allowing the stillness to guide us. I've been running my online event, Design Your Life, for over seven years. Usually, this season sees a surge of energy, goal-setting, and action. This year is different. The retreat, too, has shifted focus from goals to release, preparing us for the upcoming Year of the Fire Horse - a rare and potent astrological shift not seen since the 15th century. FINANCIAL FREEDOM AS A STATE OF MIND One powerful insight came to me recently: financial freedom isn't about hitting a target number. It's a state of mind. You can have millions in the bank and still feel anxious or restricted. True freedom comes from cultivating a sense of ease, abundance, and joy in your life - independent of the digits in your account. This reflection has shaped my thinking for 2026. It's led me to ask myself: How do I want to feel? How do I want to spend my time? These simple but profound questions are guiding me to design a life aligned with creativity, intention, and personal growth. We know now that willpower drops sharply when we rely on motivation alone instead of structure. This also explains why most New Year's resolutions collapse by February. Real personal growth doesn't come from bigger goals. It comes from better systems, tiny habits, and smart environment design. Consistency beats intensity, and failure becomes welcome feedback. When you stop chasing motivation and start engineering better behavior, change gets lighter, more rewarding, and more permanent.
Most people think they fail because they lack discipline. That is false. They fail because their environment is perfectly designed to pull them off course. In this episode, Jim breaks down why willpower always loses, how default settings quietly dictate outcomes, and why 2026 must be engineered, not hoped for. If you want success to feel automatic instead of exhausting, this episode gives you the blueprint. What You'll Learn: Why your environment will either be a headwind or tailwind The three environments that quietly shape you How visibility and proximity drive behavior Why simplicity creates momentum The friction formula that makes right decisions automatic Action Steps: Audit Your Environments Identify one physical, digital, or social environment that is working against the 2026 version of you. Remove One Frictionless Path Delete, hide, or add effort to one behavior that is sabotaging your momentum, notifications, junk food, or mindless scrolling. Install One Automatic Support Preload success. Lay out workout clothes, preload meals, automate investments, or place your journal and water within arm's length.
Forget the “new year, new you” slogans. We trade hype for honesty and design a year that actually fits your values and energy. We start by reframing 2025 with a pride audit: the tough moments you handled with more grace, the people you helped, and the places you chose integrity over convenience. That grounding matters because leaders often spot gaps faster than growth, and without pride, we keep chasing the next milestone without ever arriving. From there, we run a clean truth audit—no shame, just ownership. What did you call important but never scheduled? Which habits drained your best energy? We unpack the long game and why consistency beats intensity. Drawing on Atomic Habits, we shift from outcome obsession to identity and systems: the real flex is the small habit you don't break. We explore the math of compounding and the mindset that keeps you steady when motivation fades. We also bring in a powerful lens on courage from Emmy-winning broadcaster and author Anne-Marie Anderson. Audacity isn't recklessness; it's aligned, season-aware boldness. You'll define one brave Q1 swing, then make it practical with the Three Wins Weekly framework—one win for work, one for health, one for relationships—and protect them with time blocks that match your natural rhythms. Add Michael Bungay Stanier's minimum viable start to break inertia, and layer Brendan Burchard's daily intentionality so you show up how your team needs: curious, inspiring, or decisive. We close with a tight 2026 plan: choose a compass word, pick three outcomes, build weekly systems and accountability, and lock in that audacious move.Ready to stop living by default and start living by design? Subscribe, share this with a colleague who needs a reset, and tell us your 2026 theme and your one bold swing. Let's build a year you're proud to live—one block, one habit, one courageous step at a time.Send us a textSupport the show✅ Follow The Leadership Project on your favourite podcast platform and listen to a new episode every week!
In this solo episode of CRE8 or DIE, I talk through the restless urge to create and what happens when we ignore it for too long. This is a personal reflection on getting ideas out of your head and into the world, even when life, fear, or perfectionism get in the way.I share stories from my own journey, lessons pulled from people like Steve Jobs, and a simple but powerful idea: life is more flexible than we're taught to believe. Small decisions, consistency, and doing a little extra each day compound in ways most people underestimate. This isn't motivational hype. It's an honest look at choosing not to settle, taking responsibility for your direction, and designing a life that actually feels like yours. If you've been feeling stuck, burned out, or creatively restless, this episode is for you.

What happens when the biggest threat to your readiness isn't a natural disaster… but the clutter in your own home? On this episode of https://Ready-Radio.com, host John Rush and co-host Bill Anderson (https://Prep2Protect.com) dig into a rarely discussed but deeply necessary survival skill: organizing your life before life organizes it for you. From the emotional weight of inherited possessions to garages overflowing with duplicate tools, John and Bill unravel how “stuff” quietly drains your time, energy, and preparedness. Why do we hold onto items we never use? Why does sentimentality sometimes turn into suffocating storage—and how do you break that cycle without betraying the memories behind the objects? John shares his hard-earned lessons after sorting through years of his parents' belongings following their passing. Bill brings the pastoral lens: are your conversations with family about possessions turning into debates—or opportunities for self-discovery? Together, they explore practical strategies for reducing chaos, creating zones, mapping your spaces, and developing routines that transform your home into a functional, stress-free environment. And here's the twist: preparedness isn't about stockpiling. It's about lifestyle design. Are you rotating your pantry? Are your tools where you actually need them? Could you leave your home on short notice, or would your possessions slow you down when it matters most? This episode packs real-life wisdom, heartfelt honesty, and unexpectedly emotional conversations into one powerful hour—challenging you to rethink what you own, why you own it, and how it affects your readiness for the “what-ifs” of life. Are you prepared… or just buried? Tune in and find out.
