Hi Everyone! When I met Kim Andrews 15 years ago, I just thought her intuition came as a natural gift beyond what I thought was basic intuition (because people have told me that I have great intuition that I thought everyone had). I used to joke that compared to her, I thought I needed a hearing aid to hear my special kind!Turns out, she consciously learned how to cultivate it, and the positive outcomes that have come as a result of this are amazing. Tune in as she shares her journey, including how she finds peace and gifts in the midst of chaos—perhaps especially in the midst of chaos. Applying that intuition as we take note of the things we do that are seemingly unrelated to other tasks will enhance all the tasks. It's all connected. And so much more....

Hi again! As promised, here is the SRT session, which stands for Subconscious Release Technique that María discussed in the previous episode (episode 23). She performed a session on me to help me release my blocks around being a bit of a control freak at times, especially when unknown things are popping up. So if you don't know what I'm talking about, and you're just coming in and catching up (usually the last one published is the first one you see), back up to Episode 23, and have a listen. Start around 30 minutes in if you're pressed for time because that's when we get to talking about what this process is all about. For this audio, I would suggest that you find a quiet place to just take it all in. Feel free to substitute word challenges that apply to you if your inner control freak is already tamed!
Hi there! I had the pleasure of interviewing one of my kindred spirits right in my backyard, María del Pilar Melgarejo. Along with being a fellow multi-passionate who loves the arts and teaches at the same university as I do (in a different department), she navigates her many interests in a way that serves her and humanity. She's also very spiritual and no stranger to depression, like me. But unlike me, she came through the depression in a way that only she can explain, and I found it utterly fascinating! We also discussed how we could release the negative emotional charge tied to certain thoughts we have through a process called Subconscious Release Technique (SRT). She explained the process in fascinating detail and then took me through the process as a demonstration. That particular session will be in the next episode (our conversation was pretty long, to begin with!), which is being edited but should be published a couple of days after this one.About my guest:María del Pilar Melgarejo believes describing herself is difficult because she believes we are all multidimensional beings. She is from Colombia, studied Social Communication in Bogotá Colombia with a Master in Philosophy. In Colombia, she worked as a journalist, then in Human Rights. In 2001 she went to the University of Pittsburgh and graduated with a Ph.D. in Literature and Latin American Studies. She published a book on XIX century politics and literature in Colombia and Mexico and several articles about different topics related to Latin American history and literature. She is a professor at SMU in Dallas, teaches Spanish and Latin American literature and culture. She loves Academia, but even within Academia, she loves exploring different topics. She recently published an article called "A poetic of beauty: nature, memory, and resilience in the documentary The Pearl Button" because she is fascinated with cinema, documentary, and esthetics. Meditation has been part of her life for more than 15 years and has played a huge role in her spiritual path. She got certified as a Life Coach in a technique called SRT, Subconscious Release Technique, and she is having sessions with clients regularly. She published a Children´s book, "The Sonflower that was Stuck," and created with her sister a company called IllumineWay that offers Workshops to kids about Mindfulness, Yoga, and Meditation. Hello friends! If you've ever dealt with self-doubt and need a few reminders to come back to yourself so you can do the dang thing--big or small (it's all relative anyway.
As promised from the previous episode (click here for a frame of reference), here is just the meditation Nick Holmes did at the end of our interview. If you're feeling a bit anxious and scattered, this will get you calm and focused in the next 11 or so minutes. Make sure you're not driving and are in a quiet place where you won't be interrupted. Enjoy your day!
Hi there! If you've been around long enough, you've heard the old Henry Ford maxim, "If you think you can or if you think you can, you're right!" So watch those thoughts, guys!
Hi Guys!I believe that we can have both a provocative (if done right) AND a productive conversation. But we need to be mindful..."But that's not what I meant!!!" Have you ever found yourself feeling this way when a person misinterprets something you said? The way people interpret information from others they communicate with differs almost as often as the personalities and experiences of each of these individuals. The world wouldn't be an interesting place if everyone had identical beliefs, thought patterns, and feelings. Still, it can be exasperating if the person you are communicating with does not "get" what you're trying to say. It gets even trickier in an e-mail when you can't see the body language or hear the tone of voice from the other person. So how do we address this challenge? We do it by first being aware of some of the roadblocks to good communication and then consider some of the remedies I propose to address these roadblocks. Listen in for some real talk!* * * If you'd like to continue the conversation and discuss what you heard, feel free to join my free Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/managingyourmultipassionatelife/* * *It's possible to have a successful portfolio career if you have the personality for it (making money using all of your passions). Hi, y'all!Continuing this serendipity theme, I was at a networking group a few weeks ago, and we all got to do our quick intros. When Jen introduced herself, I immediately direct messaged her and said that we needed to chat! And the first opportunity to chat in real-time was on my podcast! We had a lovely and lively discussion about how integrating our gifts will give us better overall health, especially when we are mindful. The overarching themes kept coming back to both music and movement as ultimate healers. Hi there!I had the pleasure of having a great spiritual conversation with Alysha Myronuk, who is the creator of the fun new word, myrony (my+irony), which are the crazy coincidences in life we can't explain and another word for sign/synchronicity. And through her intuition, she navigated some pretty rocky waters! Her life was fairly normal until she got into a car accident that triggered fibromyalgia at the age of 18 and had to deal with that excruciating chronic condition along with many other life challenges, including loss of both parents, marriage, divorce, suicide, thoughts/attempt, alcohol/prescription drug abuse/addiction, and a full hysterectomy by the time she was 35.Alysha's strong spiritual connection and tenacity are what helped her through some very dark days. However, it's actually thanks to those days that allowed her to connect to her superpower that she calls her “Spiritual Spidey Sense.” It was great to chat with her about these experiences and how she healed so much of this trauma. She now shares her new concept hosting the “That's Myrony” Podcast along with her spiritual coaching business, “My Myrony” Mentoring, where she uses her psychic gift of “knowing,” also known as "claircognizance," to help her clients through Intuitive “Soul Sessions” with her “Unlock Your Blocks” Program, which helps release (at a soul level) what they need to move forward and create the life they truly desire, all with a little myrony! If you feel overwhelmed or stuck and would like to have a FREE 30-minute Intuitive “Soul Session” so Alysha can uncover some of your blocks and maybe even discover the name for your inner SUPERPOWER, then please click following the link to schedule a call! www.ThatsMyrony.com/my-myrony-mentoringTo learn more about “That's Myrony” Podcast, “My Myrony” Mentoring, or to follow on Social Media, visit:Website: www.ThatsMyrony.comLinktree: https://linktr.ee/AlyshaMyronuk
Hi Fam!Sometimes the derailment monster sneaks in behind you when you are going on about your business and commitments--especially when you are up-leveling your life in at least one area. If we are conscious about this when we feel it coming on, we can course-correct that fairly quickly with the right tools.Awareness and mindfulness are key, so grab a cup of your favorite beverage and listen to the three common contributors to potentially derailing your goals being accomplished and how to overcome them.* * * If you'd like to continue the conversation and discuss what you heard, feel free to join my free Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/managingyourmultipassionatelife/* * *It's possible to have a successful portfolio career if you have the personality for it (making money using all of your passions). I had the great pleasure of interviewing fellow Rennaissance Man Tim Cross, where we discussed the many passions he has going from his BBQ catering to his book to his music. We talked about how he manages his mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical energy as he navigates these passions to keep them flowing. We also had a real conversation about how authentic love is defined and demonstrated, mental health, the importance of kindness, and doing the work--no one is exempt. Like many of us, the road isn't always easy. It's what we do with the adversity that makes all the difference in our lives.About My Guest:Timothy J. Cross is a Rap Artist, Producer, Entrepreneur, & Published Author and is the youngest of four siblings. He's spent most of his life as a creator, using his talents as a music producer and writer to self-release his rap albums. His 3rd-grade teacher first noticed his skill as a writer who asked the class to write a page-long description of what it meant to be kind to others, during which time, he won first prize for the most well-written paper in his class. His first book, Perfect Love: The Bond of Perfection, is a natural progression and transition from musical verse & song structure to commentary & authorship. It continues to gain momentum & excitement, touching the hearts and minds of all who read it. It is more than likely the first of many to come. Hi, there!I had the good fortune to interview actor, model, podcast host, mom, wife…you name it. Her actual name is Camille Kauer, whom I discovered on another show and thought: Wow…she and her family of origin really represent what it truly means to be multi-passionate. I vibed with her challenges as a child being bullied (she went to 26 different schools in different countries because of the nature of her traveling parents) and how she channeled it for good. So, I got an introduction and promptly asked her to be on my show, even though I know she's a super busy woman! We talked about the many hats she wears, how she stays connected to the entertainment industry and balances it all. We also talked about perspective and kindness in these interesting times. I just love these soulful conversations. It gives me hope when the world is in turmoil.* * *About My GuestCamille grew up in a film family.
