Faith to the Very End: Pastor Jack and His Final Witness He was diagnosed with a rare cancer at 19. Doctors took the muscles from his leg, and he learned to walk — and live — all over again. But Pastor Jack wasn't done. For years he preached, pastored two congregations, and poured himself out for others. Then the cancer came back. What happened in that emergency room on the last night of his life is something you won't soon forget. Dick Duerksen tells the story of his brother — a man whose faith didn't flicker, even at the very end. This one will stay with you.
What if two ordinary fishermen in a tiny boat appeared out of nowhere during a deadly Mozambique flood—only to vanish without a trace? Young pastor Simoque was drowning in the raging Limpopo River, praying desperately for his family, when strong hands pulled him to safety and carried him home through the storm. But when he rushed back with money to thank them… no boat, no footprints, no sign they had ever existed. Just two angels, fishing for a desperate servant of God. This gripping true story of divine rescue will strengthen your faith and remind you that God still sends heavenly help exactly when we need it most. Listen now.
Tu milagro ya viene en camino.* Dick Duerksen, "The Angels From Supply", Adventist World (octubre de 2020), págs. 28, 29.

“Papa, please tell me a story.” That’s Cain, or maybe Abel, asked Adam to tell them a story, a story that will make the past more clear so they can face the future with greater certainty, courage, and hope. It’s a question every Father and Mother has been asked by the “inquiring minds” who sit beside them in the light of a cooling evening. Each month I imagine that you have just invited me to “tell you a story,” a true tale of The Creator’s love that will help you understand the past and so face the future with more certainty, courage, and hope. I breath deeply for a long minute, and then pour my heart out to you through my computer. www.adventistworld.org

Patience doesn’t come easy – even though it is clearly one of the virtues God is expecting us to develop.
Persistence and tenacity are two great words that describe many a Maranatha volunteer.
Compassion demands passionate participation and is a trait that shows up often on Maranatha projects.
Maranatha is building churches and schools to share God's love in Angola.
Trusting God to lead the way can open the door to an amazing adventure.
Listen closely. God is calling you to an adventure with Him.
Hope can sometimes be described by the callouses on the knees of the hopeful.
Christianity is about God loving people, and people discovering the joy of being delivered by God.
Maranatha volunteers help the Sierra View Junior Academy to continue to make a difference in their community.
The Yellowknife project was an important moment in Maranatha's history and the church continues to be a positive influence in the community.
The only thing worth living for is going home.
Many small gifts can make a big difference. Here is another sentence I wanted to add.
Every gift you give, is multiplied by God.
God rejoices over us when we share His love with others.
