Join us this Sunday for our Easter Celebration! Pastor Mike Burchfield will be sharing from the pulpit, Oh Death Where is Your Sting? Text: Selected Scripture "O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 15:55-57
This is a Special on the History of Easter. I captured this from Social Media from a person's account who share their research on this Easter Celebration. I have not fact checked or did any research to learn this History but I do feel this guy is making a valid point and it seems to make sense about the Pagans.
This week we focus on the holiness of God, the problem of sin, Jesus' fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies, and the significance of belief and repentance. The message emphasizes that despite past disobedience, anyone can say yes to God and be accepted, illustrated through the parable of the two sons and the story of the criminals crucified with Jesus.
Last week we had a huge Easter Celebration at our office. With that, we have a ton of left over candy lingering around the office and Jed just can't control himself!

Mel Gibson’s “Passion of the Christ” portrayed the death of Christ in one of the most accurate ways ever seen by man, except for those who saw it firsthand. I saw the movie once. I have never seen it again. It is one thing to imagine the death of Christ; it is altogether different to see it portrayed in such a realistic way. In our Good Friday services, we will look at another portrayal of Christ’s suffering in Isaiah 53. Isaiah describes the suffering of Christ with detail and perfection, but unlike Mel Gibson, he pens his description over 700 years in advance of it actually happening. Only God can talk about future events as if they were yesterday’s news. Then in our Easter Celebration services, we will turn our attention to another resurrection in Scripture. A resurrection that anticipates the resurrection of Christ and our own resurrection. A resurrection in which Christ’s claim is tested and gives us proof-positive that He is the resurrection and the life! Only in Christ can we find hope for the future and life for today. I pray that you will join us for all our Easter weekend activities. Make the decision now to attend and invite a friend. Is the Empty Tomb a fictional story or a historic event? Is there evidence that Jesus rose from the grave, and if so, what difference does it make in our lives? Come investigate the evidence, experience the joy, and check out the Forgiveness opened to everyone at the empty tomb at Easter.
Quote of The Day: Jesus taught his disciples to ‘always pray and not give up' (v.1). You can talk to God not just in church or in set times of prayer, but anywhere and at anytime. I was taught very early in my Christian life to ‘talk as you walk' through the day. Never give up praying and pray hardest when it is hardest to pray. Host: TOLA Omoniyi

Today we step into a new sermon series to take us to Easter Celebration. We are looking people who had their lives changed by Jesus.
While it may not surprise anyone, I have a number of hard copy Bibles in my personal library, (along with many digital editions)! My favorite Bibles, are the “Red-Letter” editions. They have the words the incarnated JESUS spoke printed in red, which make HIS spoken words really stand out. Yes! I am keenly aware that every word in the Bible was GOD-breathed. But, I also know that every word in our Bibles exists to point us to JESUS; HE said so! “Here you are scouring through the Scriptures, hoping that you will find eternal life among a pile of scrolls. What you don't seem to understand is that the Scriptures point to Me.” (John 5:39) . Those “red-lettered words” just point me to HIM a little quicker! While there are many red words in my Red-Letter edition Bibles; there are seven red-lettered words JESUS spoke, that carry an even greater weight for me. They were the seven word-phrases that HE spoke while shedding HIS precious blood on the Cross. Those seven words were truly “written in RED”! I pray you'll make plans now to join us every Sunday leading up to our EASTER CELEBRATION, as we look deeply at the seven statements JESUS made from the Cross. Pastor Joe Still

Robbing the Grave of Its Victory: An Easter Celebration | NaRon TillmanCelebration, Sacrifice, and Unification: The Essence of FaithThis episode of the One Ministries podcast, hosted by Pastor NaRon Tillman from New York, delves deeply into the significance of Jesus's crucifixion, resurrection, and its impact on believers. It begins with an invigorating call to celebrate the Savior's life, highlighting the freedom and victory over enemies Jesus's love grants followers. The narrative then portrays the crucifixion as a crucial fulfillment of scripture, misunderstood by Jesus's contemporaries, amidst the socio-political context of Israel under Roman rule. By leveraging parallels with other Biblical figures and their obstacles, the podcast characterizes Jesus's resurrection as a transformative event that redefines victory over death, offering a new perspective on eternal life. The discussion expands on the implications of this event for believers, focusing on unity, purpose, and impact within the community. The podcast concludes with a call to generosity, supporting One Ministries' community service efforts, emphasizing the act of giving as an expression of faith. Throughout, Pastor Tillman calls for a deeper understanding of scripture and a more meaningful celebration of what is often commercialized as Easter, urging listeners towards a more engaged, informed, and compassionate Christian life.Time Line00:00 Opening Celebration: Affirming Faith and Unity01:10 The Story of Resurrection: A Narrative of Hope and Victory04:32 Introducing One Ministries Podcast: Mission and Vision06:01 Exploring the Scriptural Journey: Unpacking John Chapter 2019:17 The Power of Overcoming Obstacles: Lessons from Biblical Figures30:58 The Significance of Easter: Understanding and Celebrating Resurrection40:37 Closing Prayer and Call to Generosity41:23 Conclusion: The Impact of Giving and Final Thoughts
Lead Pastor Josh Carstensen is continuing a series on women of the Bible while celebrating Easter. When Mary Magdalene visits the tomb, she's completely devastated because the person who redeemed her and transformed her life is dead. What's worse, she thinks someone stole Jesus' body, so she can't even grieve properly! In this moment, Jesus meets Mary and speaks his first words since rising from the dead. And instead of making a bold statement, he asks a question. It's a beautiful moment that each of us can experience. Also, as part of the "Something To Say!" series, we'll start the message with a compilation of all the previous testimonies. We hope you find it encouraging.
