The Vanity of Life Under the Sun Without the Son, Pt. 8Worship and the Fear of GodEcclesiastes 5:1–7 | King's Chapel Live StreamWhat does it really mean to come into the presence of God?Ecclesiastes 5 slows us down and calls us to approach God with humility, reverence, and awareness. God is in heaven and we are on earth. That truth alone changes how we worship, how we speak, and how we live.In this message, we are reminded to guard our steps when we draw near to God. Worship is not casual or careless. It is a response to who God is. And yet, we are also invited into His presence. Not because we have earned it, but because God has made a way.Through Christ, the door is open. What we could never afford has been paid at an infinite cost. We are welcomed to come just as we are, while also being called to come with clean hands and a pure heart.Ecclesiastes also challenges us to watch our words. In a world full of noise, we are invited to listen more than we speak, to take God seriously, and to live with integrity before Him.Finally, this passage calls us to question our dreams. Not every ambition or desire leads to life. True wisdom begins with fearing God, surrendering to Him, and trusting that His plans are better than our own.If you have ever felt distant from God or unsure how to approach Him, this message invites you to come with humility, listen with intention, and trust the One who welcomes you in.Connect with King's Chapel in Longwood, FL - ▶️ www.kingschapelfl.com▶️ https://www.facebook.com/KingsChapelfl▶️ https://www.instagram.com/kingschapelfl/For the GLORY of our Great GodFor the GOOD of our NeighborEcclesiastes 5 sermon, fear of God Bible, worship reverence sermon, how to approach God, King's Chapel Longwood FL, guarding your steps sermon, watching your words Bible, surrender to God teaching

Through teachings from Acts of the Apostles, Gospel of Luke, and end-time insights, you'll be challenged to examine your priorities, return to your first love, and live ready for Christ's return. In a world filled with anxiety, doubt, and cultural pressure, how can Christians experience—and defend—the true peace of God? In this episode, New Testament scholar Jeremiah Johnston joins us to discuss his new project, the Peace of God Bible, and why recovering a biblical understanding of shalom is critical for today's students and young believers. We explore how modern culture has reshaped the idea of peace into something shallow and temporary—and how Scripture offers something far deeper, more enduring, and transformative. Jeremiah shares insights from his work in apologetics and cultural engagement, highlighting the growing mental health crisis among students and the urgent need for a robust, biblical worldview. You'll learn: What makes the Peace of God Bible unique from traditional study Bibles Why shalom is more than emotional calm—it's a holistic vision of flourishing The cultural and worldview challenges undermining true peace today How students can defend a biblical understanding of peace in conversations and apologetics Key Scriptures that anchor a deeper, richer understanding of God's peace How the Resurrection of Jesus—and even the Shroud of Turin—points to ultimate peace and hope Jeremiah also shares powerful stories of young Christians whose lives and witness were transformed by embracing Christ's peace. Whether you're a student, parent, educator, or ministry leader, this conversation will equip you to think biblically, live confidently, and share the truth that changes everything.

Happy Easter! This week, we share a "Space for God: BIBLE” devotional from Rev. Bill Haley (Coracle Executive Director). Bill guides us through Paul's impassioned, free-wheeling defense of his apostolic authority in 2 Corinthians 11-12. Specifically, he highlights the deep insight Paul is granted from God as he comes to grips with God's refusal to remove his “thorn in the flesh.” Bill helps us encounter God's all-sufficient grace through our own areas of weakness.View Our Complete Archive of “Space for God” Prayer PracticesLearn More About Spiritual Direction through CoracleExplore the Full Archive of Bill's SermonsExplore More Lenten Resourcesinthecoracle.org | @inthecoracleSupport the showFor the Journey is a resource of the Coracle Center of Formation for Action and is made possible through the generous support of men and women across the globe.

Misty Phillip has many bullets on her resume. She has even had her photo displayed in Times Square, which is pretty amazing, but the thing I love most about her is her passion for championing others. Her testimony speaks powerfully to what God can do through our obedience and it's such a beautiful reminder that His timing is impeccable! Misty shares about God's timing in launching the Spark Christian Podcast Conference on Feb. 21–22, 2020—just weeks before the pandemic—equipping believers to keep sharing the gospel when churches shut down. She shares her background from working at Enron to homeschooling, then writing, speaking, podcasting, and creating Spark Media; she also wrote six books and an award-winning 2019 Bible study, The Struggle is Real, but So is God. She explains how God led her to transition in 2023 into her husband's tech consulting work in cybersecurity and AI, describing how AI is already embedded in daily tools (maps, photo editing, search, Netflix, Canva). Misty urges Christians to steward AI with discernment, noting bias from non-Christian worldviews, risks for kids (isolation, harmful answers), the need to verify outputs, and the importance of Scripture and the Holy Spirit amid deepfakes and cultural change. She distinguishes her books Upskill or Die and The Trojan Horse of the Digital Age, offers free resources on mistyphilip.com, and closes with prayer against fear and for wise, obedient kingdom impact. 00:00 Gods Timing Story 00:42 Meet Misty Phillip 01:32 Spark Conference Miracle 05:44 Books and Bible Study 07:09 Shift Into AI Work 10:25 AI Everywhere Today 14:16 AI Bias and Worldview 16:37 Parents and Kids Safety 20:00 Two Books Explained 22:54 Trojan Horse Warnings 25:31 Resources and Checklists 27:59 Prayer for Discernment 30:23 Final Thanks and Wrap Misty's website and resources: https://www.mistyphillip.com/ To purchase the new Trojan Horse Book: https://a.co/d/01mdiWEW For Upskill or Die: https://a.co/d/0iyQTBV6 For the Struggle is Real but So is God Bible study: https://a.co/d/04qRTfqJ

What does it really mean to walk with God—not just for a season, but for a lifetime? No two people in Scripture walked with God identically, and the same is true for all of us. Sometimes, a stretch of miles when God seems gloriously obvious can be followed by months of wondering where he's gone. God has his own objectives for each season of our walks, and some of them will remain a mystery until we see his face.Join us as Beth unpacks this topic with renowned contemporary artist & writer, Makoto Fujimura. [This episode has Hayne Griffin, Robbie Madison, Matt Oxley, Joey Svendsen]Matt Oxley, part of the Pastor With No Answers family, grew up in a charismatic, evangelical environment where faith was vibrant and experiential—complete with things like speaking in tongues and a deep belief in the supernatural. All of his years of being part of the podcast, however, Matt's beliefs had him in a place where he no longer believed in God at all.Recently, Matt has had a life-altering reengagement with faith. While his beliefs don't necessarily fit neatly into traditional Christian orthodoxy, his life and values have become strikingly aligned with the teachings and ethic of the gospel. That shift sparks a wide-ranging conversation about God, the divinity of Jesus, and the role of church and doctrine. Joey and Robbie affirm Jesus as divine in a way that makes him uniquely distinct from other religious teachers. Matt sees Jesus more as a revolutionary—someone who fully embodied the radical love and message of the gospel and died for it. End of story. Meanwhile, Hayne pushes the conversation further, challenging Joey and Robbie to expand what they might consider “divine” wisdom or teaching beyond traditional Christian boundaries. It's a dialogue about belief, doubt, and the ways people wrestle with the figure of Jesus. What does it really mean to say Jesus is divine? Can someone live the way of Jesus without believing everything the church teaches about him? And how much agreement is actually necessary for meaningful spiritual community?Matt's Substack, "The Great Deconstruction." E-mail Joey here. What kind of mom puts her baby in a river? A faithful one. In this episode of the Gather Moms Podcast, we continue our Bible Moms series with the powerful story of Jochebed — Moses' mother — and what her courage teaches us about doing what we can… and trusting God with the rest. Her story (Exodus 1:22–2:10) unfolds under a terrifying decree: every Hebrew baby boy is to be thrown into the Nile. Jochebed hides her son for three months. When she can't hide him any longer, she builds a waterproof basket, places him strategically among the reeds, and stations her daughter nearby to watch. This isn't reckless surrender. It's intentional faith. And here's the detail you may have never noticed: the word used for “basket” is the same word used for Noah's ark. Moses is placed into a mini-ark — another story of God rescuing someone through water in the midst of evil. Hebrews 11 tells us she acted by faith. She did not fear the king's edict. She feared God more. And though she gets her son back for a season, she eventually has to release him again — raising him only to let him go. Her story holds both grief and joy in the same hand. This episode is for moms learning to surrender outcomes they can't control. You may not determine the ending — but you can build the basket. In this episode, we talk about: The second step of Bible study: interpretation — what does it mean? Why the Holy Spirit is our greatest guide when reading Scripture The powerful “mini-ark” connection between Moses and Noah The difference between being a strategic mom and a steamroller mom How to hold grief and joy at the same time Where you may need to “shore up protection” in your child's life What it means to trust God more than cultural pressure Scripture referenced: Exodus 1:22–2:10; Hebrews 11:23–24; 1 Corinthians 2:11 Next steps:Join us on Gather Moms Patreon as we continue our “Luke for Lent” series. The angels announced to the shepherds, “peace and goodwill toward men.” What did they actually mean? Where is this peace? Biblical Truth for Little Hearts: Dr. Kevin JonesDr. Kevin Jones knows that time is a gift — and he's not about to waste a minute of it.From his early years teaching Sunday school to now leading the School of Education and Social Work at Cedarville University, Dr. Jones has always seen education as a mission field. With conviction, he knows that “Man cannot live on bread alone, but on every word of the Scripture.” (Matthew 4:4)That belief is the heartbeat behind everything he does.Recently, Dr. Jones poured his heart into the Armor of God Bible, a children's Bible published by Thomas Nelson. After reading hundreds of storybooks and listening closely to the insightful questions of his own children, Kevin penned over 500 notes and 50 devotions. Each one is designed to help young readers — and their families — see how God's truth weaves through every page of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation.“Kids have the best questions,” Kevin says with a chuckle, “and somebody's got to answer them.” His prayer? That the students trained at Cedarville would go out and teach those answers in every town, every church, and every corner of the globe.Dr. Jones isn't just shaping educators; he's cultivating eternal impact. One student, one classroom, and one child at a time. You can hear more about Kevin's story, his work on the Armor of God Bible, and how to make each day count for Christ on this week's Cedarville Stories podcast. It's a reminder to all of us: Time is short, but when we use it to glorify God, its impact lasts forever.https://share.transistor.fm/s/baf5f5bfhttps://youtu.be/hvfpomWCmzo

"Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."Ephesians 6:11-18King James VersionGET MY NEW BOOK 'PEACEFUL PARENTING', THE INTERACTIVE PEACEFUL PARENTING AI, AND THE FULL AUDIOBOOK!https://peacefulparenting.com/Join the PREMIUM philosophy community on the web for free!Subscribers get 12 HOURS on the "Truth About the French Revolution," multiple interactive multi-lingual philosophy AIs trained on thousands of hours of my material - as well as AIs for Real-Time Relationships, Bitcoin, Peaceful Parenting, and Call-In Shows! You also receive private livestreams, HUNDREDS of exclusive premium shows, early release podcasts, the 22 Part History of Philosophers series and much more!See you soon!https://freedomain.locals.com/support/promo/UPB2025
