Biblical Truth for Little Hearts: Dr. Kevin JonesDr. Kevin Jones knows that time is a gift — and he's not about to waste a minute of it.From his early years teaching Sunday school to now leading the School of Education and Social Work at Cedarville University, Dr. Jones has always seen education as a mission field. With conviction, he knows that “Man cannot live on bread alone, but on every word of the Scripture.” (Matthew 4:4)That belief is the heartbeat behind everything he does.Recently, Dr. Jones poured his heart into the Armor of God Bible, a children's Bible published by Thomas Nelson. After reading hundreds of storybooks and listening closely to the insightful questions of his own children, Kevin penned over 500 notes and 50 devotions. Each one is designed to help young readers — and their families — see how God's truth weaves through every page of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation.“Kids have the best questions,” Kevin says with a chuckle, “and somebody's got to answer them.” His prayer? That the students trained at Cedarville would go out and teach those answers in every town, every church, and every corner of the globe.Dr. Jones isn't just shaping educators; he's cultivating eternal impact. One student, one classroom, and one child at a time. You can hear more about Kevin's story, his work on the Armor of God Bible, and how to make each day count for Christ on this week's Cedarville Stories podcast. It's a reminder to all of us: Time is short, but when we use it to glorify God, its impact lasts forever.https://share.transistor.fm/s/baf5f5bfhttps://youtu.be/hvfpomWCmzo

Transforming Perspectives | In the modern world, the subject of Faith has become all inclusive in believing in any object, and any form or substance, making them gods.Bible Doctrine of Faith is defined in complete specificity on the Sovereign, One True and Living GOD. So much so, Paul the Apostle exhorts and proclaims its definitiveness, as the subject or action of hope and the evidence or manifestation of things not seen, explaining further, misplaced belief in anything else is meaningless.Exhorting for everyone to have faith in God whereby man is justified not by carnal works but by walking meaning, thriving in life by faith actively in Jesus Christ, trusting in God's sovereign rule over all creation.Pray, Read and Study - the Book of Hebrews Chapters 4, 5 and 11.Final Episode of Season 6.Reclaimed and Edited Episode of Season One.PODCAST PRODUCTS AND RESOURCES | WEBPAGE | - You, Life and God Podcast powered by Buzzsprout.com Episodes | Transforming Perspectives are available also on Podcast, Music and Radio Platforms. Ps Andy continues the series on the word of God, this week speaking about the fact that The Word is Truth. Many other life philosophies and ideologies present themselves in the modern world but few remain constant and only God's Word is real or true Truth as Ps Andy explains.Andy revisits John 12:32 (NIV) "And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself". This verse is prominent in this years' Family Church Vision statement. There's a principle here. When Jesus is lifted up, he causes multiplication and increase. It says "when I Am is lifted from the earth...". The Bible refers to God as the I am in the old and in the new testaments. Today we celebrate The Great I Am, which is Jesus Christ, when we choose to magnify His Word in our lives, the Word of God Bible scripture. We're causing multiplications when when we choose to magnify His word in our lives, things break out, breakthroughs occur. When we turn to God's word, it's the kind of truth that can transform us and set us free. Ps Andy speaks about how we need to abide in The Word, not use Jesus as breakdown service,,,, we need to purpose to be sold out for Jesus and Him alone. Mixing up ideologies in our lives will only cause chaos. This is a challenging message!
"Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."Ephesians 6:11-18King James VersionGET MY NEW BOOK 'PEACEFUL PARENTING', THE INTERACTIVE PEACEFUL PARENTING AI, AND THE FULL AUDIOBOOK!https://peacefulparenting.com/Join the PREMIUM philosophy community on the web for free!Subscribers get 12 HOURS on the "Truth About the French Revolution," multiple interactive multi-lingual philosophy AIs trained on thousands of hours of my material - as well as AIs for Real-Time Relationships, Bitcoin, Peaceful Parenting, and Call-In Shows! You also receive private livestreams, HUNDREDS of exclusive premium shows, early release podcasts, the 22 Part History of Philosophers series and much more!See you soon!https://freedomain.locals.com/support/promo/UPB2025

The sneaky, subtle ways we can look holy on the outside but be missing real, deep relationship with God? In this episode, we're doing a heart check, no judgment! Just laughs, real talk, and some hard truths about the difference between performing faith vs. actually living surrendered to God.

Our Listener asks, “Hi Pastor Jesse, first off just want to say thank you for your ministry and for always delivering the Clear and Simple Gospel. I'm writing this because I struggle with Resting in the Truth. I know that Jesus Christ is my Lord and my One and Only Savior. That I'm Saved by His Grace and Mercy through Faith in Jesus' Death, Burial, and Resurrection. It's what He has finished for me, not what I can do for Him. I know the truth, I understand the truth, and I believe the truth. I just struggle to Rest in the truth. Some days I have Rest and Confidence, and some days I don't. I know that I'm Saved, and that whether my day is great or terrible it's only by Grace and salvation. It's contingent on Him, not me. I struggle with OCD, mainly scrupulosity, and it's more so obsessive thinking, not really too many compulsions although there are some. It's been a long mental journey for the past 4 years, and God has been Faithful all my days as He always will be. He's brought me over so many hurdles, and though there is still more ahead of me, I trust in Him. OCD is nicknamed “the doubting disorder,” and there are times the thoughts get so strong and so persistent that it feels like He's done with me. I know that He isn't because He cannot deny Himself, and Greater is He that is in me than the one in the world. I was just hoping maybe for some advice or tips that could help bring some ease. I know God wants His children to Know we belong to Him. Sorry this was long; thanks for all you do.” - Daniel HOW TO HAVE ETERNAL LIFE : https://youtu.be/t_6L7E_mfIw SUBSCRIBE https://www.youtube.com/c/bibleline LIKE https://www.facebook.com/biblelinemin COMMENT ask us a question! It's Friday, November 15th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Hindus attack Christians in India's Odisha State Christians are facing a surge of attacks in India's Odisha State. The Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party came to power in the state just six months ago. Hindu nationalist groups in the state have disrupted multiple prayer and worship gatherings of Christians recently. They even evicted a pastor and his wife from a church. A local pastor told International Christian Concern, “These incidents cropped up only after the [Bharatiya Janata Party] came to power in Odisha. We know that it will continue in the days ahead. Only God can help us.” 1 Peter 4:12-13 says, “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.” Few Finnish young people believe in God The Church Research Institute released a report on the religiosity of young people in Finland. The study found only 11% of women under 30 believe in the God of Christianity. The younger women were, the less likely they were to believe in God. Meanwhile, 18% of men said they believe in God. And younger men were more likely to believe in God than older men. Hanna Salomäki, Director of The Church Research Institute, noted, “There is a certain degree of strengthening in religiosity – and specifically in interest in Christianity – among young men. But we are not talking about any large scale. … But there is a smaller group who are clearly finding Christianity and committing themselves to it.” Gender gap revealed in presidential election CNN released exit poll data from the 2024 U.S. presidential election. Vice President Kamala Harris led among women by eight percentage points. President-elect Donald Trump led among men by 13 points. While Kamala led among young voters, Trump has gained ground with that demographic over the last three presidential elections. Even 40% of women under 30 voted for Trump. Trump taps Senator Marco Rubio to be Secretary of State On Wednesday, President-elect Donald Trump announced Republican Senator Marco Rubio of Florida is his pick for Secretary of State, reports NBC News. Trump said, “He will be a strong advocate for our nation, a true friend to our allies, and a fearless warrior who will never back down to our adversaries. I look forward to working with Marco to make America, and the world, safe and great again.” Trump nominates RFK Jr as Secretary of Health and Human Services In a post on Truth Social, Trump announced that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would be his Secretary of Health and Human Services, reports LifeSiteNews.com. He wrote, “For too long, Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation when it comes to public health. The safety and health of all Americans is the most important role of any Administration, and HHS will play a big role in helping ensure that everybody will be protected from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives that have contributed to the overwhelming health crisis in this country. “Mr. Kennedy will restore these agencies to the traditions of gold standard scientific research, and beacons of transparency, to end the chronic disease epidemic, and to make America Great and Healthy Again!” Kennedy, the nephew of the late President John F. Kennedy and the son of the late Attorney General Robert Kennedy, is a longtime environmental and medical activist. He initially attempted to challenge President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination, switched to an independent bid against both Biden and Trump after months of accusing party leadership of having “rigged” the Democratic primary process against him, and ultimately dropped out and endorsed Trump in August. Oklahoma Superintendent eager to respect religious liberty On Tuesday, Oklahoma's State Superintendent Ryan Walters announced the establishment of the Office of Religious Liberty and Patriotism at the State Department of Education. The office will protect religious freedom for parents, teachers, and students. It will also investigate abuses to individual religious freedom. Walters said, “The radical left never misses a chance to co-opt the teacher unions and their minions to indoctrinate our children against traditional values of faith and family, seeking to attack any display of faith or religion. … In Oklahoma, we are reversing this negative trend and, working with the incoming Trump administration, we are going to aggressively pursue education policies that will improve academic outcomes and give our children a better future.” Psalm 78:1, 4 says, “Give ear, O My people, to My law; incline your ears to the words of My mouth. … We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.” U.S. inflation up The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported inflation rose last month. The consumer price index increased 0.2% on a monthly basis and 2.6% on a yearly basis. This was in line with Wall Street expectations. While inflation is slightly up, it's still significantly down from its 9% high in 2022. Ellen Zentner, chief economic strategist at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, said, “No surprises from the [Consumer Price Index], so for now the Federal Reserve should be on course to cut rates again in December.” Bible Society: Younger generations more lonely than older ones And finally, the American Bible Society released the latest chapter of its State of the Bible USA report about loneliness. The study found 21% of women experience a high degree of loneliness, while 17% of men experience the same. Younger generations are more lonely than older generations. Only 11% of people who actively engage with Scripture report high loneliness compared to 22% of those who are disengaged with the Bible. Similarly, the more people attend church, the less likely they are to report high loneliness. Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, November 15th, in the year of our Lord 2024. Claudia McGuire Kay Daigle Several weeks before the election, Claudia McGuire and Kay Daigle discussed seeking joy in the Psalms. Our hope and prayer is that whether the candidate you voted for won or lost, you can raise your voice in thanks to God for his love and care today and find his joy. About half of us are likely disappointed in the results, whatever they may be. Although we may not understand what God is doing in our world, we can trust his heart and his wisdom, knowing that his priority is his kingdom, not an earthly one. Relying on what we know about God's power and his character, knowing that our God is the true ruler whom we all seek, and recognizing that he has purpose in whatever has happened, we seek joy in the Psalms today. I'm Kay Daigle your host today. And I am joined by Claudia McGuire. Welcome, Claudia. I'm glad you were able to join me today. Claudia >> Me too. Kay >> Claudia and I attended Dallas Seminary together, and it's getting to be a long time since that happened. I was thinking about it's being a long time. That's where we first met, I think. She has served on our BOW ministry team since its inception, and she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in life and in ministry to our conversation. But you can read more about her on her bio on our website at BeyondOrdinaryWomen.org. Our topic today is Seeking Joy in the Psalms. Before we start, I want to make it clear that we recorded this session in October weeks ago from when it drops. So we don't know what happened in the election, but we guess that about half of the people in the country are upset this morning as this particular episode goes online. Of course, that assumes that the results are in and we have no idea when that will actually happen. But as we think about today, the day after the election, and even ongoing, it's important just to remember that joy is an important quality for Christians. Whether there's disappointment, whether there's fear—no matter what it is—God wants us to have joy instead. And joy is a fruit of the Spirit. So it is something we all should be exhibiting because we are believers and the Holy Spirit lives within us. So we should want to seek joy. That's the reason we decided to have this particular episode on Seeking Joy in the Psalms. I have found that the Psalms are a great place if you don't feel that you are joyful, If you're struggling, or if you're unhappy in any situation. It may have nothing to do with an election. But whatever it is, whatever your circumstances are, the Psalms are a great place to go. So the big question is how do we as Christians handle bad news in general? Grief? hard times? whatever it is? How do we as God's people of faith deal with those things? And how do we exhibit joy in the midst of that? So the Psalms are going to tell us to put our joy in the Lord. Claudia's going to start us out. Claudia, what Psalm has really been meaningful to you when you've dealt with things that are hard, things that your circumstances, that you're struggling in? Is there a certain psalm that you go to? Claudia >> Yes, especially for the past two years. I think I have one that I have gone to over and over. I find that sometimes I'll wake up in the middle of the night and I just start saying it to bring peace into my sleep,
We start a new Book, and it is the book of beginnings. The word for “created” in the original Hebrew language is “bara”, and it means “to create out of nothing”. The first verse is vital in so many ways as the foundation of the whole Word of God (Bible); but equally as well this word “bara” (out of nothing) as God declares to us, He is the “Bara God” and take what seems to be nothing there in our lives personally, and create something beautiful and wonderful out of it.
Sovereignty of God The sovereignty of God means that God is in control at all times and nothing can occur outside of His control and will. God loves His creation and cares for it. He won’t deny people their humanity when dealing with them. Decrees – a part of Sovereignty Sovereign decree: When God says “Eternal life is available for all. You may choose to accept or reject it. Those that accept it, I will call my children.” Your own reaction as a Christian Disciple is that you have taken up God’s offer and are trusting and obeying. Conditional decree: When God says “I am willing to give you my opinion and help when you ask.” Our reaction should be to read the Bible, and pray and talk to God about the situation! Natural decree: When God has created a lemon tree, that lemon tree wont produce potatoes.” Our reaction should be to plan in view of that. But! A question often posed is one that goes “Well if God is sovereign, then why doesn’t He do something about the suffering of the masses such as those in who are dying for lack of food?” But God has done something about it! God has provided enough food for all people everywhere, just that we in the West are greedy! So the problem is not with God, but with people! God’s provision to all people has become God’s provision for the minority, through humanity’s inhumanity to others. As for other kinds of suffering, that’s part of the reason for the cross, where God Himself experienced human suffering when Jesus died on the cross: Jesus, the man who was both fully God and fully human. God is not so removed from our sufferings, which He Himself endured and suffered at the Cross. Just because God allows free will to all people to sin, doesn’t mean that God is responsible for the sin – that is, and must remain, people’s responsibility! If not, we would all just be robotic automatons instead of free people. God knows… God’s sovereignty is inclusive in that it covers all actions of people, good or bad (Acts 2v23; Ephesians 2v10). The foundation of God’s sovereignty is wisdom according to Paul (Ephesians 3:8-11). So, when we are faced with a decision, God knows what is going to occur. He knows all the options and choices. It is important when faced with making decisions to pray about it and read the Bible. He seeks you to respond to Him with love and affection. Why not start today, and ask Him for help? God is interested in every facet of your life. If He were not, then He couldn’t be personal, and He certainly wouldn’t be sovereign! Click or tap here to download as a mp3

While Joey and "the Jacks" consider themselves believers in the Christian faith, Matt is a former fundamentalist Christian now atheist, very familiar with the tenants of faith and traditional beliefs in the Bible. Stephanie is delighted to welcome Richard Foster, the author of one of the most influential books in her life, Celebration of Discipline. Today, Richard, with Brenda Quinn, talk about the power of learning humility. He tells Stephanie, “The practice of humility has made me playful and free.” In our culture of raging narcissism, Richard calls humility the "vanishing virtue." He says that practicing humility has been "playful, freeing, fun, and freedom from [his] need to feel important." How wonderful! When Stephanie asks about how to learn humility, Richard answers, “We learn humility by taking up other tasks, like serving others.” Richard explains that humility is a secret gift that keeps on giving. He says, “one of the things we need to learn is to embrace and enjoy anonymity.” Richard encourages us to develop a passion for culture, encouraging each one if us to keep on living at the intersection of culture and Scripture here at Gospel Spice. He says, “look for the finger of God at work through every culture.” He adds, “in every culture there are things that are consonant with Scripture, and some that are dissonant. Our task is to discern among them.” In a society where raging narcissism dominates the moral landscape, the virtue of humility is often dismissed as irrelevant. Not only is humility vanishing from contemporary culture, but we are also witnessing how destructive a lack of humility has become among our churches and ministry leaders. And yet, Richard Foster, the founder of Renovare, insists that humility is central to the journey toward character formation and spiritual transformation. For this reason he decided to spend a year studying the virtue of humility. Using the Lakota calendar as a framework, Foster provides us with a look into the insights he gathered from sources ranging from Native American culture to Julian of Norwich to Scripture to personal friends. By engaging with both the spiritual classics and Foster's own experiences, Learning Humility provides profound insight into what humility can look like in our current cultural climate. Join Richard Foster on Gospel Spice today, and embrace the journey toward a life of humility, which he says leads us into "freedom, joy, and holy hilarity." MEET RICHARD FOSTER Richard Foster is founder, past president and current team member of Renovaré. There is one place in the gospels where Jesus specifically describes himself. Remember this passage from Matthew 11? “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”Jesus describes himself as gentle and humble in heart. I wonder to what degree we imagine these as primary aspirations in our own discipleship to Jesus. Harshness and pride seem to be reigning nearly everywhere in our world today, and too often even among those who would call themselves followers of Christ. That's why I'm so glad to be talking today with Brenda Quinn and Richard Foster about his latest book, “Learning Humility: A Year of Searching for a Vanishing Virtue.” Humility is more than a virtue that we should practice. It is actually the pathway to the abundant life Jesus has come to lead us into! Brenda Quinn is a pastor of spiritual formation in the Foursquare church and a writer of many years. In this "Space for God: BIBLE" devotional, our friend Darryl Ford (formerly of Ikon Community Church in Atlanta) guides us through the too-often-overlooked beginning of Proverbs 31. He shares how these first 9 verses offer the church a vision of leadership grounded in prudence, sobriety, and advocacy that is sometimes painfully lacking in the American church context these days. But, it is a vision that draws us into the very heart and character of God.View Our Complete Archive of “Space for God” Prayer Practicesinthecoracle.org | @inthecoracleSupport the show
