Matthew, who was there at that time, records this miracle of the feeding of the 5000, as a demonstration that Jesus was indeed the Messiah as is also shown in the Gospel of John. There Jesus told these same people," I Am the bread of life. He who comes to Me will not hunger." Jn.6:35.Are you hungry for reality, for real life, eternal life? Jesus is here for you. Just talk with Him, read His word and listen. He can make Himself known to you and He will.As Dr. Mitchell continues our study, He points out that our Lord did not draft volunteers but enlisted His own disciples. Just 12 men, during late afternoon, distributed the miraculous abundance of fishes and and loaves to the groups of 100's and 50s till all ate and were satisfied.Let's join Dr. Mitchell, Matthew 14:15 on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast.

Mark 6:30-56 // Nathan MillerThis sermon examines Jesus' role as the true shepherd by looking at several key events. We'll see how the feeding of the 5,000 mirrors the care described in Psalm 23, noting the green grass, water, guidance, and provision. We also explore the disciples' fear when Jesus walks on water and how he calms them. Finally, we see Jesus' compassion as he heals many who simply touch his garment. Join us as we consider how these stories reveal Jesus' care for us, even when our faith falters.SERMON NOTES (YouVersion): https://bible.com/events/49408766PRAYER REQUESTS: https://ccefc.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/2509/responses/new25.03.30

Are there times when we can be too busy? That question sounds like it has an obvious answer. Yet, Jesus and His disciples experienced times of profound business, even to the point that they didn't have time to eat. Yet, in the middle of this season of business, Jesus takes time to teach us about the importance of both spending time in rest and solitude as well as serving others in need. It seems like these seem a little contradictory; yet, this is the lesson Jesus has for us behind His miracle of feeding the 5,000.
In Matthew 14, Jesus turns His focus toward training His disciples to feed the world. In this chapter are the foundations for Christian worship.
Continuing with our series “Mark My Words”, today Pastor Jodi teaches from Mark 6 which illustrates when you partner with Jesus expect to experience miracles like the feeding of the 5000!Key Scriptures:Mark 6:30-44, 1 Chr 29:10–14

Jesus and his disciples are exhausted so they plan a short getaway to the wilderness where nobody is. They get there and there is a gigantic crowd. What do they do? They do what they do best. teach, care for and feed them all. Thousands of them.
