Mark 6:30-56 // Nathan MillerThis sermon examines Jesus' role as the true shepherd by looking at several key events. We'll see how the feeding of the 5,000 mirrors the care described in Psalm 23, noting the green grass, water, guidance, and provision. We also explore the disciples' fear when Jesus walks on water and how he calms them. Finally, we see Jesus' compassion as he heals many who simply touch his garment. Join us as we consider how these stories reveal Jesus' care for us, even when our faith falters.SERMON NOTES (YouVersion): https://bible.com/events/49408766PRAYER REQUESTS: https://ccefc.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/2509/responses/new25.03.30

Are there times when we can be too busy? That question sounds like it has an obvious answer. Yet, Jesus and His disciples experienced times of profound business, even to the point that they didn't have time to eat. Yet, in the middle of this season of business, Jesus takes time to teach us about the importance of both spending time in rest and solitude as well as serving others in need. It seems like these seem a little contradictory; yet, this is the lesson Jesus has for us behind His miracle of feeding the 5,000.

Matthew 14:14-22 (Feeding the Five Thousand). After sharing a life-skill for living in community (ie leading with patience), Fr. Anthony shares some of the levels of meaning the Church provides when it preaches/teaches on the feeding of the five thousand. He finishes with St. John Chrysostom's point about bringing what you have so the Lord can bless it, multiply it, and use to His glory and the feeding of His people. Enjoy the show!
God executes performances far beyond our current understanding of physics. Also in this video we take note of one of God's trademark stamps of validity, Biblical numerics. Open the book and let it speak for itself. Join Tammy-Lynn and Michael's in depth Bible study. We study from the original language manuscripts, translate through the lexicons and out from any English version you prefer. We have discovered the secret code that runs through the original language manuscripts. It is found in the etymology of the key words that forms threads that run through the Bible. These threads form a clear glossary for understanding and interpretation. These threads make up the structural fabric of the key of David itself. Pastor Mike asks the pertinent question of "what seems insurmountable in your life?" challenging us to let God overcome all that stands in His way in our lives. Join us as we listen to the challenge and blessing of God's provisional care in our lives.

We are slow to learn the lesson from one of the most well-known accounts of Jesus' miracles.
Today on the Unchanging Word we are beginning chapter 6 of the Gospel of John. The theme of Chapter 6 is Jesus the Bread of Life. John's purpose in writing this Gospel reveals Jesus as God's Messiah, the Son of God. John proves this by showing us Jesus' words and works. Here in chapter 6, we see the fifth and sixth miracles of Jesus in this Gospel. Of the 37 miracles recorded in all four gospels, the miracle of the feeding of the 5000 is the only one recorded in all four gospels. Now in this lesson, it is wonderful to behold what Jesus did do with 5 barley loaves and two fish. He fed 5000 people after giving thanks and then gathered up the 12 baskets of leftovers. What do you have that Jesus can use to feed people? Jesus Our Lord gave thanks for His provisions. Do you and I do that? Here is Dr. Mitchell, John 6:1 with our study. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/unchanging-word/message

After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, and a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His miracles which He did on them that were diseased. And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there He sat with His disciples. And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh. When Jesus then lifted up His eyes, and saw a great company come unto Him, He was moved with compassion...
