Episode SummaryIn this very special episode, Bobby Bosler shares an exciting announcement and a deeply personal journey of faith. Speaking from Matthew 14, he draws parallels between Peter's step out of the boat and the major life change God has led him and his family into — accepting the call to pastor Fellowship Baptist Church in Fairmont, West Virginia. Bobby testifies to God's guidance through uncertainty, showing how surrender and obedience open the door for God's miraculous provision and peace.Topics DiscussedStepping out in faith when God's leading feels impossibleThe story behind the call to pastor Fellowship Baptist ChurchHow God uses closed doors and lack of peace to redirect our stepsWrestling with calling, gifting, and identity in ministryEncouragement to follow God's call even when it requires major life changesKey TakeawaysGod's leading often requires taking a step into the impossible. Like Peter walking on water, faith demands stepping out based on God's command, not on visible certainty.Closed doors are part of God's guidance. The lack of peace about repairing or replacing the trailer was God's way of preparing the Bosler family for a completely new direction.Gifting doesn't limit God's calling. Even as an evangelist, Bobby discovered that God could use him to pastor and shepherd a local church, showing that God's calling often stretches us beyond our assumptions.Obedience leads to peace. When Bobby and his wife yielded to the possibility of pastoring, God flooded their hearts with undeniable peace and clarity.A big step of faith inspires others. Just like Peter's step inspired worship in the boat, your obedience can ripple out to encourage others to trust and follow Christ. Passover: Walking on Water More specifically, Chag HaMatzah, or the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Before I explain that, let's begin with a not-rhetorical two-part question: Why did Yeshua walk on water? Why did the wind scare Peter? Last week's newsletter established the underpinnings of the WOW season (Walking on Water). Review: The last watch of the night is a last opportunity to flee false security. It is the last opportunity to flee the people whose wicked agenda vexes the righteous Holy Spirit within. If one waits until the morning's dawn to flee, he flees with nothing. Only the deeds of the righteous can follow them into the eternal Kingdom of Messiah, for those are the only eternally true and fit deeds. The overturn of the cities of Sodom likely took place at Passover, for Lot baked unleavened bread for the angel of wrath. The Wrath of the Lamb struck the cities of Sodom right at dawn, when Lot and his daughters reached safety and the last watch of the night becomes the past. Likewise, at dawn, after the strong East Wind completed its work of arranging the waters, the Israelites traveled through the waters to reach safety. ?The Israelites still had the flesh of the Passover lamb, bitter herbs, and matzah in their bellies. Having obeyed YHVH's instructions, they were protected from the Wrath of the Lamb on Egypt and Pharaoh. All they had to do was Walk on Water, to escape to freedom. WOW! So back to our question: why did Yeshua walk on water?
Jesus: Signs of His Glory. There are seven signs of Jesus' divinity in the gospel of John. These signs point to Jesus' glory. John ends his gospel by saying, "Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book." - John 20:30

Jesus the one who walks on water and calms the sea is more than a miracle worker. He is God revealed, God in flesh and God who has come to bring peace and order. Listen as Katherine Castrence takes a deeper dive on the fifth sign in the gospel of John.
As followers of Jesus, sometimes we can think that we will not have any problems. There are so many blessings with being a Christian, but we still live in a broken and fallen world, which means we will all go through storms. One day, it will all be perfect in Heaven, but until that day comes, we must learn to have faith in Jesus and live in His peace in the middle of the storms. God promises to “never leave us or forsake us.” Jesus will walk on water to come to us. And our faith must grow to the point to step out of the boat and trust in Him. With Jesus, you are never alone, and you can experience peace in your storm.
Mark 6:30-56 // Nathan MillerThis sermon examines Jesus' role as the true shepherd by looking at several key events. We'll see how the feeding of the 5,000 mirrors the care described in Psalm 23, noting the green grass, water, guidance, and provision. We also explore the disciples' fear when Jesus walks on water and how he calms them. Finally, we see Jesus' compassion as he heals many who simply touch his garment. Join us as we consider how these stories reveal Jesus' care for us, even when our faith falters.SERMON NOTES (YouVersion): https://bible.com/events/49408766PRAYER REQUESTS: https://ccefc.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/2509/responses/new25.03.30

Eric's sermon, “The Signs: Walking on Water,” takes you deep into the miraculous moment when Jesus walked across the stormy Sea of Galilee to reach his disciples. Through John 6:16-21, Eric unpacks how Jesus' presence in the midst of darkness and chaos brings peace, security, and purpose. He connects this powerful story to Moses' plea in Exodus 33—a reminder that we should never go where God's presence does not lead. Just as Jesus calmed the storm and brought his disciples safely to shore, He still does the same for us today. If you've ever felt lost, afraid, or overwhelmed, this message will remind you that no distance, darkness, or storm can keep Jesus from coming to you.
Are you in danger of believing in or embracing an inferior version of Jesus? Could the Jesus you affirm be a version of Jesus made in your own image? In this message Pastor Jeremy Writebol shows us three mistakes we can make in relating to and knowing Jesus.

The prophesy of a Messiah in old testament scripture was interpreted by some as God sending one who would bring about political peace for the Jewish people. In reality, the Messiah, Jesus, brought about a personal peace for those who believe in Him and focus on His message in their daily lives, even during the toughest personal storms. Welcome to Day 2541 of Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom – Theology Thursday – What Walking On Water Really Means – I Dare You Not To Bore Me With The Bible. Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2541 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2541 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Today is the thirty-eighth lesson in our segment, Theology Thursday. Utilizing excerpts from a book titled: I Dare You Not To Bore Me With The Bible written by Hebrew Bible scholar and professor the late Dr. Michael S Heiser, we will invest a couple of years going through the entire Bible, exploring short Biblical lessons that you may not have received in Bible classes or Church. The Bible is a wonderful book. Its pages reveal the epic story of God's redemption of humankind and the long, bitter conflict against evil. Yet it's also a book that seems strange to us. While God's Word was written for us, it wasn't written to us. Today's lesson is: “What Walking on Water Really Means.” Tales of tempests battering ships inspire respect for the sea. En route to Capernaum, Jesus' disciples watched these stories become reality as the roaring wind transformed the waters around them. As they fought against the waves and wind, they witnessed a miracle: “They saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat” (John 6:19). Appearing in three of the four Gospels, this event inspires Sunday school lessons and has become ingrained in our portrait of Jesus' life. As spectacular and unforgettable as the event is to us, however, a Jewish audience would have seen in it a profound theological meaning against the backdrop of the Old Testament. An Old Testament Symbol In the Old Testament, the unpredictable sea is a common symbol of cosmic disorder—conditions contrary to God's design for an ordered world. This symbol for cosmic anarchy is also personified as a sea monster, known as Leviathan or Rahab. The image of chaos as an untamed monster in a churning, erratic sea was common throughout the ancient world. People accustomed to land would naturally view the vast, raging ocean as uncontrollable and potentially deadly, filled with terrifying unknown creatures. Religions across the ancient Mediterranean often depicted their important deities destroying or subduing the sea dragon, thereby calming the sea and restoring order. In the Old Testament, it is Yahweh, the God of Israel, who conquers the forces of chaos and imposes order in the cosmos (Job 26:12- 13; Psa 89:5-14). This imagery is applied even to the exodus from Egypt (Psa 74:12-17), where God split the sea to deliver His people, thereby conquering the forces of evil that sought their demise. Final Victory God's ultimate victory at the end of the age is also depicted as God dominating the forces of the sea: “In that day the Lord with his hard and great and strong sword will punish Leviathan the twisting serpent, Leviathan the crooked serpent, and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea” (Isa 27:1). This is why the description of the final paradise of the new heaven and new earth contains the phrase, “the sea was no more” (Rev...
Just as the physical world experiences severe weather events, our lives are subject to spiritual tempests that will try to overcome us when they hit. But in this message, Dr. Tony Evans explains why having the Lord in your life can make you stronger than any storm you'll need to face.
