Today I'm sharing all about my bizarre recent half marathon training. Preparation for this 21.1km race looked NOTHING like previous training plans, due to sickness and injury this time around. I used BOTH natural methods to bring about healing and I also pursued supernatural methods, outlined in the Bible. Tune in to hear me talk about: A period miracle that happened and how I requested it to God The ways I was supernaturally and naturally pursuing healing before race day Highlights of race day Comparing and contrasting this race and ones I've actually trained for Things God told me to encourage me as I rested and recovered How God helped me not fret a broken running shoe on race day How I knew God's will was for me to heal in time My rest centered training plan What I've learned about running nutrition in all my years of training How ditching Diet Culture mindsets has made me a stronger athlete Past episodes mentioned: Running With Jesus VS Worldly Running (My Story)Spirit-Led Half Marathon Training My Body Insecurities & Life Lessons Learned From Running My 7th Half Marathon How to Make Running JOYFUL! Proverbs 6:16–19: “There are six things the Lord hates— no, seven things he detests: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent, a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family.” In today's devotion, Pastor David Sumrall takes us through a vital list from Proverbs: the seven things God hates. This isn't just Old Testament trivia—it's timeless wisdom for how we live and treat others. From prideful attitudes to lying tongues, from harming the innocent to sowing division in families—God makes it clear: these things grieve His heart. And as Pastor Sumrall shares, it's not just about knowing the list—it's about choosing a life that pleases God. What kind of life are you living? The one God blesses—or the one He warns us about? Watch now, and let God's Word realign your heart. * Why Not Believe Like Jesus? * Do we spend more time believing in Jesus than we do believing like him? * If so, what might that be costing us? What do we normally substitute for Direct, Responsive Obedience to what we see Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit saying and doing? * Often, we substitute a “belief” measured by agreement over ideas about… 1. Principles that reflect who or what we think God is (or is doing). 2. Things God is specifically recorded in scripture as saying or doing. 3. Things people-perhaps with authority or influence-say about God. 4. What you personally hear God say or see Him do or doing. 5. What you see, hear of, sense, or even imagine Him doing in and through the people in your family, life, and circle. 6. Are there other influences? Start with God - he finds strength in God - he seeks God's will in prayer - he acts on God's word in faith Go With God Do as God God will use trials: - to strip away other objects of faith that we're trusting in - to reveal to us our true selves - to remind us that something has gone terribly wrong with our planet and someone needs to fix it - to reveals to us who and what really matters

Wednesday, April 2, 2025 | Message by Pastor Josh Bevan Main Scripture: Proverbs 6:16-19
Have you ever wrestled with the question, “If God is good, then why did this painful thing happen to me?” When we're deep in hurt, the idea of a loving God can feel impossible to reconcile with our suffering. It's not about struggling with prayer or faith itself—it's about wrestling with who God is in the midst of pain. In this episode, I'm opening up this conversation, not to offer quick-fix answers, but to create space for the real questions so many of us carry. We'll explore what it means to hold both realities—a broken world and a loving God—without dismissing the weight of our experiences. Healing doesn't come from clichés or easy answers, but from being heard, understood, and reminded of who God truly is. When you’re driving clear across the country, you might encounter the Rocky Mountains. A huge mountain range. Pikes Peak alone jets up more than 14,000 feet into the sky. But when you fly over those mountains on an airliner, it kinda looks like the same ground you saw an hour ago but with more . . . texture. So it is with differing perspectives.
