It was a weekend of high-profile returns in MLS as Didier Drogba and Jermaine Jones’ goals helped fuel wins for the Impact and Rapids. Calen Carr also makes his return to ExtraTime Radio as nature and family scatter the normal ETR crew across the country. Calen and David hit all the hot topics from the weekend, including the Red Bulls’ continued woes, FC Dallas's big Western Conference win and so much more. Only one team in MLS remains unbeaten. Real Salt Lake’s Yura Movsisyan checks in to chat about playing for some of the biggest clubs in Russia, playing for the Armenian national team, the decision to return to MLS, how Jeff Cassar's direct style plays to his strengths, and what it’s like playing with Joao Plata and Burrito Martinez. In the mailbag, the guys get the Coach of the Year conversation going (a tad early) and hear from some FC Dallas fans in England.

An epidemic of #CCLfever gives MLS fans chills and aches after the opening legs of the MLS-Liga MX CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals. But hope is not yet lost! Strong performances from D.C. United and Real Salt Lake in Mexico leave them within touching distance ahead of the home legs, but will they do it? Can they? On the flip side, Seattle and LA both drew at home. What must they focus on in the second leg to make history? Plus, the guys break down Jordan Morris's professional debut, we finally see what the big-name Galaxy have in store and whether Yura Movsisyan is the big-time goalscorer Real Salt Lake hope he’ll be.   In the second segment, it is finally time to gear up for the 2016 season! With all 20 clubs to preview, the guys take their first crack at the bunch. Chicago, Philly, New York City FC, RSL and Houston are up first. What will Gilberto do in a full season for the Fire? How will NYCFC's three stars fit together? Can a healthy Joao Plata get RSL back in the playoffs? You’ll get four fast-and-furious minutes on all six, with more to come.   It’s a curtailed mailbag as Andrew channel’s Herm Edwards’ time-management skills. The CCL anthem has brother and sister songs elsewhere, including perhaps the ultimate N64 theme song.

San Jose once again find a late equalizer at BMO Field and Toronto FC get to look forward to the Champions League for the rest of this season. A 1-1 draw after a suspicious offside call on Joao Plata erased an insurance goal leaves supporters with a bitter taste in their mouth. We try to look on the bright side as we ate up deep fried twinkies and watched a KISS cover band at the CNE, but that will likely only make us feel more sick after watching the replay of Plata's 'non'-goal. There's a lengthy break for TFC and hopefully they come back recharged to end the season on a high note.

That is right, the shorter the player, the more TOTAL the football. It's the Joao Plata show as the 5'2 Ecuadorian makes his mark and s statement that he should be in the starting XI. It's hard to argue against as for three starts this year he has linked up well with his teammates and given supporters something and someone to stand up and cheer for. On the other side, Stefan Frei kept the win in check and overall it was one of the best games we've seen in recent memory. It's just Spark and Tim and we stick to the game 100% for the second time this year!
