Kiki Galvin has been named as one of six women who are revolutionizing the world of fly fishing by Blue Ridge Outdoors. Kiki is a fly fishing guide, volunteer, mentor, and friend to many anglers. Her free time is spent volunteering for numerous fly fishing organizations. Lifelong Maryland resident Lefty Kreh passed away last March at the age of 93, but he spent his long, exciting life changing the face of fly-fishing as we know it, transforming a storied but staid sport into an approachable art form for both men and women. Tony and Dee Tochterman of Tochterman’s Fishing Tackle and Candy Thompson, formerly of the Baltimore Sun and the Department of Natural Resources, join the podcast to share stories about Lefty's life and legacy.

In what was likely his last recorded conversation, the legendary fly fisherman Lefty Kreh talks about learning to handle a fly rod, his experiences in the outdoors with his son, Larry, and his favorite spot on the Potomac River. Kreh, who died on Wednesday, was a Maryland native who became one of the best-known fly anglers in the world. He taught casting to hundreds of people, including Hollywood luminaries, and he wrote 32 books over a career that included 18 years as outdoors editor of The Sun.
