How much creative effort was put forth while coming up w/ this prediction? Do the prediction and the actual ep. follow the same archetype (i.e. love & loss, heroic adventure, self-discovery, etc.)? Would this story aide in the development of the overall plot and/or character development? TL;DR!In this podcast episode, we discuss the importance of consistent branding and the major problems inconsistent branding creates. We explain that your brand makes a first impression on customers, so incoherent branding across channels confuses customers and erodes trust.Research shows inconsistent branding can reduce purchases by up to 30%. We contrast accidental, disjointed branding with deliberate brand consistency exemplified by Coca-Cola. We state that while specific brand colors aren't needed, strategic coherence in messaging and visuals builds engagement. We then dive into common website branding issues like unclear purpose, lack of integration with business strategy, confusing copy, and lack of user focus! The detailed bit:What is a brand?A brand identifies a seller's products/services as distinct from competitors. Branding imbues products with the power of the brand.Who's affected by your branding?Consumers: Brands provide decision-making shortcuts (and can lead to 30% loss in revenue if you mess it up!)Employees/shareholders/partners: Branding affects reputation, desire to work there, and overall engagement. What is brand consistency?Customers receive the same impression and experience interacting with a brand across channels. This builds familiarity and confidence. What are heuristics?Mental shortcuts people use to simplify problems and avoid overload. Help us reach quick conclusions.Who is Lumpy Space Princess?! https://adventuretime.fandom.com/wiki/Lumpy_Space_Princess How big is the branding consistency issue?8% of organizations have brand guidelines, but only 30% enforce them. Results in off-brand content. Why consistency matters:Inconsistent branding is confusing and erodes trust. Can reduce purchases by 30%.Strong brands like Coca-Cola deliberately ensure consistency.Common website branding issues:No defined purposeLack of integration with marketing, cultureUnclear purpose and confusing copyToo much jargonUnclear value proposition and toneNo visible user problem solvedPoor user experienceThis leads to high bounce rates and loss of conversions. The key is keeping user experience consistent across branding.Let's continue the discussion! What branding consistency issues have you faced? Oh my glob it’s a new episode! We watched two episodes of Adventure Time, S2E19 “Mystery Train” and S3E12 “The Creeps” and it was mathematical! We discuss how the episodes play up the typical mystery tropes, the bizonkers-ness of Finn’s potential solutions, the influences of Agatha Christie and Clue, and how Finn should really deal with his trauma. We get into the whole series a little (so spoiler alert!), talk about the voice acting industry and some of the recent racial reckoning, discuss how we like the darker themes the show explores, and quote Lumpy Space Princess. Like, a LOT. Katy steals a joke from Bones, Carrie’s screech laugh makes an appearance, Maddy shares her favorite line from the entire show, and Mack calls out Chevy Chase. We also try out Boston accents (badly), make references to a number of '90s TV shows, discuss some very old shared family mp3s, try to come up with our own mystery party names, praise fart jokes, and yell into the microphones. (Sorry). It’s lumping fun! Algebraic! TW: Racism
LUMPY SPACE PRINCESS takes the guys to new extremes in our most jam packed ep yet! We're Back! With an absolutely normal, run of the mill, "nothing to see here" episode... shh don't worry about it. It's better you find out when it happens. Trevor, the younger brother of the Savage Dad himself, is back to join us for our celebration of nothing important all... and the gang gets into full gear, taking a full swing (more like swig), with a full crew! Austin opens up the show with a story that will give your heart all the feels. From heartbreaking to heartfelt, to heartwarming! I hope your cardio is good, cus your pumper is going on a dog rescue roller coaster with this one! We are all just glad the doggo ended up back where it belonged, safe and sound with it's family of friendly circus clowns. Someone smack Wes when they see him please. Next up, Wes regales the gang with a twofer. Lets just say he pulled up on the end of a drug bust, and the start of a robbery. This prompts the hosts to wonder about grocery store privilege, flying the American flag, and Lumpy Space Princess impressions. Finally, we cover our TitCup corner (just gonna leave that the way it is, no context), Austin and our guest get into a tizzy over hair color, and then Trevor shows us his roasting super powers and cuts your boy to the core. Damn, that shit was so quick, it musta been on wheels... All of this and much more, only on BSFTB! Originally Released on May 4, 2013 Songs: Medley of "My Little Brony" & "Lumpy Space Princess" & last song is "Robert Palmer is Due for a Critical Reevalutaion" The Littlest Viking from Whittier, California are a duo that is by far one of the best acts that has come through our Garage to perform. We relly don't throw that around much to our fans but seriously, this is one of our favorite episodes. Chris and Ruben are two of the coolest dudes you will ever meet. Genuinely nice and caring. I had never met them before this episode, but Richard was really fond of these two even before we started doing Kilson Street. He was adamant about having them on. Actually it might have been one of the conditions he had when I asked him to be the host of the show. Anyway, please enjoy these guys. our ears should get an orgasm at around 3:23, but don't be surprised if that happens earlier. And if you've never had an orgasm, you can tell you're getting one at about this time mentioned. It's the feeling of some of the coolest music you can ever put your eardrums to. Listen! ORIGINAL EXCERPT: Kilson Street is proud to present: The Littlest Viking! Well these two dudes from Whittier are hands down immensely talented. We could spend about a whole 5 page essay on why you should listen and support them. But we won't. Just watch it and enjoy. Kick back. Relax. Have a beer, some wine, a shot... whatever fries your egg.
